Actually I asked the question here because I found your story telling pretty mature. The reason why I asked this question is in your answer itself. In countries like India, Bangladesh women are so very dominated that most of them can not gather the courage to come forward and write something. Erotic novel is still a taboo thing here. To take advantage of the situation many foul practices are prevalent here, men using women tone for phone sex etc.At first I thought that I should not reply such foolish comment. But as this comment is posted at my thread, I must tell you few facts about myself.
I am a house wife. Though few of my writings are published in mainstream magazines, I am not a professional writer.First of all, I let you know that throughout history, female authors have published their work under male or gender-neutral pen names. For some, such a move was a creative choice, an experiment in anonymity. Alice Bradley Sheldon was an artist and art critic for the Chicago Sun before she turned her talents to writing science fiction. She adopted the pen name James Tiptree, Jr.
Even many male author published their writing in female pen name. Do you know the author, who's pen name was Anila Devi? The answer is Sharatchandra Chattopadhyay.
In western countries erotic literatures are published in their real name. But in many countries, like Inda, Bangladesh, where sex is considered a forbidden topic, erotic writings are always published in pen name. This is why all writers in this platform must use a pen name.
I also ask you one question, "does gender of a writer matter?"Would you kindly explain why do you think all women writers here are actually male? However, I know the actual mentality behind this comment is nothing but the male dominated ideas, which thinks that women are all fucking dolls and they should not have sexual expression.
Moderator of Bengali literature is requested to warn the commenter so that he must not make irrelevant post ,i.e., not related to the novel, and also inform that this is not a cheap chatting group as he thinks.
I hope you have already got ans of your question. Gender doesn’t matter for a writer. Actually not only for writing, for any other activity. It was just a simple curiosity. Though u scold me though out your ans, it only increase my reverence for u. Please stay happy and keep writing.
P.S. even J K Rowling used Robert Galbraith to write detective novels though she was already popular.
Thanks again for your reply.
