Once inside Heaven's suite, he motioned for her to have a seat on the large sofa in the living area while he went to the wet bar. "What would you like?"

"Orange juice and vodka, please."

"One screwdriver coming up." He fixed himself a scotch and soda. He handed Denise her drink and seated himself in a comfortable lounge chair directly opposite her. "You're a very beautiful woman", he began. "I felt badly when you declined my invitation for an interview yesterday morning."

"I'm terribly sorry about that. There was really no excuse for my behavior.. either yesterday morning or for the first three days of our stay on the Islands. I hope you will be willing to overlook all of that."

"Of course. Not a problem. We all have our bad days. It's forgotten, Ok?"

"Thank you. I deeply appreciate your attitude."

"I do need to ask you some personal and probing questions, however. Are you comfortable with that?"

"Absolutely. Please go ahead. I'll answer as fully as I can."

Heaven began: "As you know, the firm deals in large commercial real estate sales. These sales often run into the millions of dollars. In addition, we design buildings and, if desired, factories and other operational facilities for our clients. When we provide this service, our fees run into the tens or hundreds of millions of dollars."

"Mark is extremely talented in both of these areas. He is, without doubt, the most creative and productive Division Director in the corporation as well as being a fantastic engineer and salesman. However, he has his limitations as do we all."

"With a much greater frequency than you might suspect, closing huge deals with some clients is not a trivial, straightforward matter. It often takes more than just creativity and engineering excellence. Basically, some clients at the very point of signing want to be "wooed" for a want of a better term. They want something extra. Occasionally, they want under the table cash for themselves. Other times, they are interested in sexual favors. Do you understand?"

"Of course. You're talking about providing monetary kickbacks and/or whores", Denise volunteered.

Heaven smiled. "Blunt, but to the point. I like that. You're right. That's what I'm referring to. But sometimes a bevy of whores is not what the client is really looking for. This is where Mark and all our other Division Directors are limited."

"They don't have a pussy", Denise said, quoting the line she had first heard from Carie the previous day. "But their wives do."

"You grasp the essential point perfectly. So let's say, for example, that Mark is confronted with such a problem. A potential client is balking at the point of signing and threatening to go with a different firm. Tens of millions of dollars are at stake. How would you assist your husband? Would you be willing to have sex with the client?"

"No. That would be pointless."
