"Champagne,sir,courtesy Mr.Marcos,our manager, the waiter said as he kept a bottle of Dom Perignon in a chiller next to Jindal and Roma. Jindal and Roma sat in the open-air restaurant in the resort,located in an alcove.The sun had set.The clear sea reflected the palette of the sky.The restaurant had only limited number of tables,each with several candles on them.


Jindal and Roma's table was the only occupied table.

Would you like some ? Jindal said as he lifted the bottle.

Roma said," Yes,please."

Like a gentleman,Jindal stood up and poured the champagne for her.

Roma said," Thank You !"

Jindal said," You are welcome. They both raised their glasses in a toast.

Both of them were chatting and laughing with each other about a few things.

Waiters brought various kinds of seafood,all caught frsh from the sea.Everything tasted delicious.

One of the waiters brought a heart shaped red velvet cake.

"For the lovely couple', he said in a Filipino accent.

The waiter's words left Roma stunned . She struggled to speak.

She said," Oh,actually we are.... Jindal intervened.

Jindal said," Thank You for the cake.Didn;t have to be heart shaped,as we are not a couple."

The waiter looked at both of them,and looked surprised. The waiter left them and went away. Roma and Jindal burst out laughing. Jindal poured them both another glass of champagne.

Roma said,Okay,wasn't that a bit weird."

Jindal said," Though I must say I was flattered."

Roma said," Really? Why ? "

Jindal said,"Well even at this age he thought I could be with you. That's a compliment."
Roma said,"Well yeah...so all the running is surely helping."

They clinked their glasses.

After having their dinner and drinks, Roma and Jindal went back to their respective rooms to retire for the night.
