The next three days, Roma thought a good deal of time at her home about all those questions that Jindal raised about her and Amar's relationship,their marriage and whether the love was still as strong as it was before. She thought about everything,starting from her going her parents and marrying Amar and then coming to Mumbai and starting life as a married couple. She had to make a lot of adjustments to settle herself in a middle class life and she happily did it because she loved Amar and even after Amar became jobless a few months ago,she still stood by him and took a new job in Jindal's company and worked harder than what she did in her previous job, but Amar just whiled away his time in bad habits like drinking,gambling etc. and now even did Drugs and had sex with a stranger woman.

He was even giving explanation for his wrong conduct saying he did it to fulfill his sexual urge as a man because Roma and he had not had sex for a long time. Roma thought about her future a lot about whether this marriage still worked. Then she called up Jindal. Jindal picked up the call and told her that he had got a lawyer, a young,upcoming lawyer who is ready to take up Amar's case. Roma told him that she wants to meet him. Jindal asked her where. She told the name of a famous restaurant. Jindal agreed. Roma left home to meet Jindal.

At the restaurant, Roma told Jindal that it was good that he could arrange a lawyer for Amar. She also told Jindal that the lawyer will have to fight another case. Jindal asked her what is this other case. Roma said it was her and Amar's divorce case. Roma told him that she had taken her decision and she had thought a lot about her future and felt she wants to start her life in a fresh way and make a good career and future life for her. Jindal asked her if she had thought about such a decision after all those things that he had told her and asked her about. He told her not to act on impulse. Roma told him that she had not taken this decision impulsively but after thinking a lot about the relationship,her future and was confident that this decision to divorce Amar is the correct one for her as well as Amar.

Then Jindal took her to meet the lawyer who was ready to take up Amar's case. Roma told the lawyer that along with this case, he would have to fight another case, the case of her divorce with her husband Amar. The lawyer agreed. Then after the case papers were ready, Roma and Jindal along with the lawyer went to meet Amar at the security officer station. Roma told him that one lawyer agreed to take up his case and hearing this,Amar was happy. But then Roma also told him that the lawyer is also taking up the case of Roma and Amar's divorce. Hearing this,Amar was shocked and stunned. He asked her why she was thinking of divorcing him...was it because of his habits...he became intimate with the European woman because he was under the influence of drugs...he was not in his full senses.

He begged for forgiveness.When he saw that Roma was not willing to listen to his pleading, then he asked her if it was because of the fact that he was jobless now and also she has a good job and was doing great in her career. Finally seeing Roma sticking to her resolve, Amar agreed to give her a divorce and signed papers of both the cases. Roma then called up Amar's family in Delhi and talked to his mother,elder brother and elder brother's wife and told that everything about his security officer case and their impending divorce.

Now both cases had started. The case of drugs and unlawful sex took a few hearings in the court to reach its verdict. The divorce case was the easier one and reached its verdict smoothly. Roma and Amar were granted divorce by mutual consent by the court. In the drugs and unlawful sex case, Amar was found to be guilty and given a sentence of several years.
