Sanjana went to the restroom and refreshed a bit and started working on her computer. She know Sneha would take time to come out.


After 20 mins, Sneha entered Sanjana's room through the main door. She had dressed up and corrected her makeup. She was very cheerful but looked tired.

"Problem solved. Boss is back into the work" Sneha said

"Some problems with that land finalisation and he is upset that it was not taken care by the team" she continued.

"How did you solve the problem Sneha " Sanjana asked added some surprise to her voice. She was needling Sneha to see what she says.

"It takes experience to solve such situations Sanjana. Slowly you will learn too.. or may be i will teach you some time" Sneha said looking deeply into Sanjana's eyes.

"Er.. ok.. i will learn " Sanjana flustered as the thought of Sneha inside the chairmans cabin came flashing in front of her.

"Being secretary to a person like Anand sir is not easy ...." Sneha said rolling her eyes.. "Anyways, i need to go back now. You can go and meeting after 30 mins" Sneha said.

"Thanks a lot Sneha. I will never forget this help" Sanjana said.

"Don't be silly. Take it easy " Sneha said and left the room.

Sanjana sat on her chair and continued the work for another 30 mins and then went and knocked at Anand's door.

"Come in.." Anand said.

"Good afternoon sir"

"Afternoon.. " Anand replied without seeing her.

"So i have planned to meet the minister later today regarding the land. There is a good land but this real estate company owns that.. I want to take care of it" Anand started.

"Do you have the files related to the project. I want some information from that to show to the minister. Make that ready.. " He continued

Sanjana was astonished. An hour back he was banging the juices out of his secretary and now he was talking pure business.

Another 4 hours passed by when Anand was fully into work. Sanjana was geared up to see her boss fullly engaged with the work and was running around getting things done for him. It turned out to be very productive, Anand completing his days' work in just 4 hours.

At 6 PM, Anand looked at Sanjana and said, " Ok. We are done for today. Lets meet tomorrow"

"Thanks sir" she said and turned to leave.

"Sanjana.... " he said

"I wanted to discuss something with you" he continued

"Yes sir"

"How do you like the job"

"It is great sir. I never expected i would get such a good job"

"Good.. do you like working for me ?" Anand asked and looked into her eyes.

Sanjana was shocked at the direct question and collected her strength to answer

"Sir.. you are a genius with business and its a great opportunity to learn from you sir"

"Sanjana.. you did not answer my question. Do you like working for me .. Yes.. No..?"

"Yes, Sir" she said confidently

"Ok.. I wanted to confirm that before i go ahead. I know you did not like working for em at the start... so..." he did not complete

"No sir.. " Sanjana stammered. "I like working for you. I have learnt so much in this few weeks than the 4-5 years of my previous work exp." she completed.

"Hmm.. So here is the deal. Would you like to work for me after this project as well., I want to make you mine"

"Sir. ?" Sanjana was shocked to hear the words

"Sorry. I want to make you my secretary" Anand completed calmly..

Sanjana was again shocked. Secretary to the chairman would mean a position almost equal to the CEO. Wow.. she thought.. "but.. is he ... trying to..." her thoughts wandered.

"But sir.. Sneha is already there and this may upset her"..

"Sanjana, thats not your problem. Moreover, I am planning to send Sneha to head the Singapore division completely. Its a promotion with a raise. She is going to love it"

"Sir..I am ready to take whatever position you offer me sir" Sanjana said. Internally she was in a mixed mood - whether to rejoice or be careful.

"Look Sanjana you have impressed me with your skills at work. That's why i am suggesting this to you. You are good at everything. But if you need to be my secretary, then you may have to learn and do a few more things" Anand said and swivelled his chair to face away from her. He let out a smile to himself.

"Tell me sir.. what should I learn"

"You should do everything Sneha does for me.. you know everything" Anand stressed a bit on everything..

Sanjana was shocked to hear this... Her heartbeat started increasing.. she let out a sweat on her forehead. She stood silently thinking what to answer.

"Why don't you speak with Sneha tomorrow and understand more about what you should learn" Anand said very professionally.

"Ye.. Yes.....sir" Sneha stammered.

"OK then you may leave now" Anand said and started looking at the monitor in front of him.

Sanjana was very confused now.. she slowly started walking towards the door..

"By the way Sanjana.. " Anand called out.

"Yes... sir"

"Ask the admin to fix this door connecting your cabin and mine.. Its making bad sounds when you open" Anand said.

Sanjana froze. Her head started to spin wildly... throat dried up ... breath almost stopped.. "Oh my lord.. did he see me spying on them today morning" Sanjana almost peed in fear.

"Sanjana ... Sanjana... Sanjana......" Anand called her.

"Ye..Ye.. Yes sir" she came back and answered.

"What happened. I asked you to tell the admin fix this door" he said.

"Yes. Sir.. i will tell them" she answered stammering throughout..

"You may leave now" he said

"Thanks sir" she said and rushed out..

Anand looked at Sanjana's rear and smiled to himself.

"Soon...." he said quietly
