His father Sumit Bose arrived the day before departure of Amit. Debashree was very happy to see her grandfather after a long time. Sumit Bose would stay whole day inside the house but in evening he would go outside.

The next station Shyam Bazar was approaching and the train stopped there. Sonali could see a huge crowd waiting there thronged in to the bogie, bodies brushed against her.
Sumit bose boarded the train from Shyam Bazaar. With much difficulty to jostle in the crowd, a sling bag on his shoulder, he successfully hopped in to the bogie. He managed to push his way through to stand near the rear/exit side of the train.
After a while, Sonali felt something brushed against her bottom. It was dark and very difficult to see the person behind her still she casually glanced behind to notice an old man whose complete face was covered with muffler, and a part of muffler rounded the middle portion of his head, but the white hairs of his front head were visible in the darkness. She guessed he must be more than 60 years old man who was standing behind her, with a sling cotton bag on his shoulder. It appeared this poor old man also stuck in the crowd. She again felt something brush against her bottom, and she realized that it was the old man's hand resting on his sling bag.
