Hmmmm... so the writer has definitely given in this story, some sparks for us to get out our own views on the whole thing. That's a very admirable job from him.
When even in a closed society in spite of severe punishment (death by stones, lashes n what not), there are cases where the adultery has happened - what to speak of our society.
But I think it is always rather easy to pass judgements on those involved in an affair than understanding each person why s/he did, what s/he did - and the truth is many times s/he may have the reasons beyond normal logic of the society.
At this point I feel totally unattached to how the story should happen or in what ways the characters behave, I leave it to the author to present it to us. And I am sure, there will be lots of POVs of many(maybe including me) even after "the end" and may provoke one to take this story further(another version) as per his/her liking.
I just want to tell the author that when many of us reacted to 1 of his episode, he later rewrote it and possibly changed @ least some
course of the story - from my perspective he had failed in presenting his thought current very well in that episode - he should not have changed it but rather he should have presented it in more forceful ways with his usual skills - so readers would not have felt weird of Meera who just after mating Prabu became remorseful as was depicted in that original episode.
