It had been quite late that night & after an extended cleansing under a steaming hot shower I went to straight to bed & enjoyed a deep & undisturbed sleep that helped me recharge my much fucked body!

He gave me ironical smile & shook his head as if I had disappointed him in some way & slid open the gate to allow me in!

 

As I walked in he said “Madam.. third level, go straight & right …. Last lift chalu hai!”

 

“Thanks!” I said cheerfully & smiled at him but as I glanced at him, I again caught the look of dejection on his face!

 

‘To hell with him!’ I said to myself & went up to the theatre where the screening was supposed to be!

 

The mall was deserted & as I went up the lift, it felt eerie & was almost scary since I was so used to seeing it crowded, it was weird to be in there when nobody was around!

 

The third level felt even more desolate! The usually brightly lit popcorn & ice cream stalls were dark & unlit! The escalator which was supposed to lead me to the preview theatre was not even switched on & I had to walk up the motionless escalor steps & finally reached the entrance of the theatre!

 

It felt like a scene from a crime thriller or a horror movie & actually gave me goose bumps as I neared the preview theatre!

 

I was sweating & my armpits were damp with my sweat as I slipped in through the half open door & stopped in surprise!

 

Although the theatre was already dark, just 4 pin pricks of light shone, one each in each corner!

But these lights were enough to indicate that there already were people sitting spread out all over the theatre!

 

I could hear the rustles, the whispers, the giggles & even gasping as if someone was already groping & kissing intensely!

 

Getting over the surprise, I made my way up to the second last row & sat in my seat which was 3 seats inside from the aisle!

 

There were a few people further down the row but in general there were ample number of free seats all over the place as most people were couples or at the most three in a group!

 

I remembered my college days when such an early morning show was more of a kissing & groping session for young couples & I had been to many such movies with many different guys & a few times with gals, but always with similar results! Sometimes I had been with one & sometimes with more than one!!!!!

Finally on settling into my seat, I pulled out my phone & called the number I had been told to!

 

“Hi Darling! It’s me Rinku… where are you? I have reached the theatre… yes… I am in my seat… where….. are…y..o? Shit!.. it disconnected” I exclaimed irritatedly, as the phone disconnected mid sentence!

 

After waiting for another 5 minutes I called back

 

“Hi!! Rinku here… I am at the theatre..where…..! What the fuck!!!” the call had disconnected again!!!

 

I tried calling 2 more times but the call was disconnected even before being picked up, my annoyance increasing by the second as I realized it was not a network problem but the call was being disconnected purposely from the other end!!!

 

I kept trying continuously & the call was disconnected at the first ring itself!

Then, after atleast 10 calls, the call was not disconnected but was allowed to ring till it got cut automatically!

I was on the edge of my patience as another dozen of my calls went unanswered!

Atlast, after another 10 more agonising minutes of incessant caling, the phone was picked up at the other end!

 

“H..HELLO?!! DON’T DISCONNECT!... I AM RINKU SPEAKING!...... Where are yo….u…...! FUCCCKKKK!!! Who is this? …… RUBINA!!!! You fucking slut! …. What the fuck are you doing there…. with….!....Just give the phone to the BASTARDDD!!!!!!” I almost ended up screaming in a jealous rage!

 

“You bastard! Are you & that slut Rubina screwing around????!!!! … LISTEN!!! …. You get your ass here right now.. .or…or… I will give some lucky bastards here the time of their lives! I fucking mean it….you fucking bastard! You cunt of misery!!!!!” I snarled, as I heard derisive laughter from the other end of the line!

 

“Look.. I am giving you 15 minutes… only till the movie starts… if..if… if.. you are not here by then….. then I swear… I fucking swear, I will really do what I just said… I will do it here… with whoever is around….  what you are doing with that bitch, Rubina! … I really mean it… I will let them do whatever they want to do with me!!! … I FUCKING PROMISE IT!!!!” I said, seething in anger, as I disconnected & almost banged the phone on the seat ahead!

 

Fuming & panting, as my breasts heaved in sync with my deep breaths, I tried to control myself, I sat there barely able to conceal or rein in my rage!

I realized my whole body quaking in fury, my hands were shaking as if I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown & sweat was pouring in rivulets down my face & soaking my white shirt, inspite of the powerful air conditioning in the theatre!

 

“Miss?... control your self… here… have some of this!” I calming voice spoke & offered me a large cup of chilled soft drink!

 

I glared back, but reigned in my anger as I saw an elderly man who was offering me his cup of soft drink!

“No..it’s OK uncle! .. I am fine…!” I answered but he just nodded kindly & made me accept the drink!

 

I had a sip & then another as the coldness of the beverage did help me in controlling the shivers & also allowed me to relax!

 

Finally, as I regained control over my temper, I turned to thank the man who had offered me his drink only to realize that he was about to sit in the seat next to me!

 

“Uh… Uncle? … Sorry…but this seat is taken… my partner will be coming soon… sorry…. !” I mumbled awkwardly as instead of thanking him for his kindness I was making him go & sit somewhere else!

 

“Oh!!…Oh??..OK! No problem!” He said with a lop sided smile & moved one row back & sat down!

 

I turned around & smiled at him & said “Thank you for the drink, uncle! I will pay you…!”

“Oh nonsense! Don’t worry about it!... just relax & enjoy the show!” he said with another lop sided smile!

But when I insisted on paying for the drink, the man leaned forward & said “If you insist, we can share something during the break! OK?”

 

“Sure! …Uncle & Thank you once again!” I responded with a smile & continued my vigil with my eyes glued to the entrance!

It was a fruitless vigil because, although many people walked in, none came towards where I was seated!

 

Then, the screen lit up & the four lights faded & so did my hopes of seeing my partner!

 

Just as the last light dimmed out, a sensed a movement near me!

I turned with a smile only to have the smile turn into a frown!

 

The elderly man who had offered me a drink earlier had got up & moved over to my row & was about to sit in the seat next to mine!

 

That too after I had already told him someone was expected any moment!

 

I felt my anger returning as I hissed at him sternly, “Uncle!! I told you.. someone….!”

“SSShhhh!.... 15 minutes are up!... the movie has started…..it’s time you kept your promise….Rinku!” the man said & slipped into the seat next to mine!
