Mr Das made Meera work with him on Sunday. There was actually some requirement to verify some presentations. He took advantage of it and asked if she's willing to help. He said he could spare her if she wanted but she volunteered to work. He said she'll be given off on Monday.
By noon the work was finished, and Meera reached his cabin.
"I was leaving, Mr Das."
"I'm also winding up, please sit down."
Das smiled and she sat down.
"I really appreciate that you agreed to come and work on Sunday. It's the second time I'm robbing you of your holiday. I wonder why they fired you, It's their loss I'd say."
"You're always praising me, Mr.Das."
"You're worthy of it."
"Thank you, Das."
"You know, you're not only a good staff but also a great person to be with. I do feel great to spend my time with you."
"Mmm. Sounds really good to me. You can tell me more."
She smiled as she played around a paperclip she grabbed from the top of his large desk.
"I'm not sure if you'd think me joking, well I'm not, I feel great to be with you. Just walk around you, breath around you, and know that you're also breathing the same air that I breathe.."
"You're getting romantic with your staff, boss!"
She commented.
"You're making me one."
"You're actually flirting with me."
"You're making me flirt, Meera."
She looked deep into his eyes.
"And I feel like I'm coming out of your friend zone."
"You've never been in a friend zone."
"Then where am I?"
"You're... You're on the right side you want, Das!"
"What side you think I want?"
"You know what you want, don't you?"
Her voice was now very quiet.
"I know, yes, but I want to know if you think the same way.."
"We shouldn't be talking like this, in this office."
"Imagine this isn't our office and tell me. Nobody will come here."
"No."
"You're calling me a flirt. But my heart is pounding. Beating hard. I'm an amateur."
"Oh really."
"Come, touch and feel it."
He stood up and moved closer to her. She looked into his eyes and touched his chest.
It was really pounding.
"Yeah, you're right. But it doesn't save you from my allegations. You're simply flirting with me."
"You excite me."
"I can see that."
"Does it excite you, Meera?"
He was still standing close to her. Really close.
She fell silent. Only smile.
"Tell me. Does it excite you?"
"I don't want to say."
"Then I will take it a yes."
"Your wish."
"What does your heart tell you."
"I don't know."
He then grabbed her by the wrist.
"Are you going to check my breath?"
"I hope you're not going to slap me for it.."
She laughed, rather a forced one, presumably to escape the tension. Das was sure she was intimidated.
"No. Never again; but I hope..."
He wanted to grab her by the waist and smooch her red hot lips. But he controlled himself.
"You're the most beautiful woman I've ever met, Meera. Your presence makes me your... Your... I don't have the right word for that."
She smiled slightly.
"I'm equally speechless. Das. I think we should stop here."
"Can I get a hug from you Meera."
She was like expecting that, didn't make an issue.
"Sure but not here. It's not good. Please."
"Not here?"
"I mean when we meet up somewhere else, not in the office."
She said. It was another promise.
"I'm looking forward to that..."
"I should really go now before you make me do more promises... You're really charming. See you, Mr Das!"
She said and got up.

That day ended there.
Mr Das finished the narration of yet another episode that he thought has made him closer to his dream girl. It was on Monday evening.

Two promises were made by her to him. If fulfilled on the same day, it could bring about even the unpromised.
