The next day when Prabu came in the morning Meera did not have the same misgivings she had yesterday when he came to her house when she was alone. She was getting used to talking with him even when she was alone. Besides when she was talking to him yesterday the time passed quite interestingly. She too had nothing to do after her husband and kids leave the house and frequently boredom used to affect her. In that way Prabu’s presence was welcome but only as a friend.

 
“Hi, come in, what?? Coffee again?, she asked with a smile.
 
“See you are teasing me that I am coming for free coffee,” Prabu said also smiling.
 
“Nothing like that, I just asked, that’s all.”
 
Meera poured a cup of coffee from him from the pot already simmering in the stove. Prabu took it from her and sat on the sofa and started drinking it.
 
“You have your coffee, I still have a little bit of cooking to finish,” Meera said as she walked towards her kitchen.
 
“You carry on Bhabhi, I’ll come there and we can talk while I have my coffee,” Prabu replied following her into the kitchen.
 
Even yesterday he had walked directly into my kitchen to talk to me and now he is doing the same thing today. He seems to be taking a lot of privilege in my house she thought.  These past events were running through Meera’s mind now as she lay on her bed. Little did she know then that he was not only going to take a lot of privilege in her house he was soon going to take a lot of privilege on her body. These past events were running like movie scenes in her mind as she lay down and thought of those sweet days.
 
More than two years ago….
 
What’s for lunch Bhabhi,” he asked as he walked into the kitchen.
 
Meera turned and stared at him.
 
“Don’t stare at me lie that, don’t worry I’m not hungry, I won’t ask you for lunch. I won’t add free lunch to the free coffee,” he smiled disarmingly.
 
In his mind he though I am not hungry for your food, I’m only hungry for your body, and what a body it is. I can’t wait for the day you are squirming and screaming in pleasure under my body.
 
“No problem, even if you want to have lunch here but today it’s fully vegetarian meal.”
 
“In that case I am definitely out, I need to sink my teeth into flesh.”
 
Was he looking at my bare hip when he said that Meera wondered or is it just my imagination.
 
“So, what’s your plan for today,” she asked.
 
“Actually I’m quite free today, I thought of catching a movie.”
 
Meera perked up on hearing this. “Really? Which move?”
 
In their small town there were only two theatres. In one theatre it was mostly reruns of old movies.  You only got new movies in one of the theatres. (This was all happening in 1985 – before the advent of a lot of private channels and entertainment on the phone. Theatre going was still a big source of entertainment).
 
When Prabu told the name of the movie Meera got very excited because it starred her favourite hero.
 
“I heard that it’s a very good movie. I didn’t know it was currently running in our meenam theatre,” she said excitedly.
 
Prabu made note of the fact that Meera was very interested in movies and movie stars. He filed away this piece of information in his mind. He thought that this could be useful in his efforts to seduce her. He knew Saravanan was very busy with his business and did not have time for movies. Moreover, even from a young age Saravanan was focused on coming up in life and did not show much enthusiasm for movies.
 
“If you like that movie then come along, we can go see it together,” Prabu said.
 
She stared at him a little angrily. What type of woman did he think I was. I’m a married woman, how dare he ask me to go to a movie with him.
 
Even though he knew that what he said would have flustered her he pretended not to notice it. “I won’t go for the movie now. When Saravanan and the kids are back in the evening we can all go to the movie together.”
 
Hearing this she remorseful that she was quick to anger. I had simply jumped to a wrong conclusion she admonished herself. He meant this when he said we can see the movie together.
 
“No no, don’t change your plans because of us. This is marriage season. There would be a lot of customers in the shop. He cannot come for a movie at this time. We also don’t like to take the children out late in the night.” “I’ll ask my husband if we can go for the movie this weekend.”
 
“Bhabhi, it’s not so easy for you to go to the movies, is it? You don’t get to see many movies don’t you?”
 
“Actually during the marriage season like this he opens the shop seven days a week. Even otherwise during not so peak season, he only closes the shop on Mondays as a lot of customers do their shopping on weekends.”

Even as she said this Prabu was able to note the regret in her voice. This gave him greater confidence that he can use her weakness to seduce her. Prabu thought, how I wish this was a big city. You can easily take another man’s wife, that you have seduced, to a movie there as people are not likely to note or bother about it. Here even if I was able to seduce Meera, I could not take her to a movie alone with me, especially the wife of a prominent leading member of society like her.
 
She is trying very hard to hide the disappointments she has in her life. If I use it correctly than there is a good chance she will fall prey to my desires he thought.
 
“If Saravanan can’t make it, you can at least take your children along with you and go for a movie, can’t you?”
 
“No, except to the temple, I don’t go anywhere else without my husband.”
 
This is the challenge. She has been brought up very conservatively. She must have a lot of restrictions in her life, probably many of them self-imposed. She probably has a lot of pent up emotions because of this. If I become the one to shatter those restrictions than a lot of fabulous delights awaits me as she slowly explores and experiences the new pleasures of the flesh with me.
 
“What a pity Bhabhi, you are missing s many things,” he wanted to reinforce the feelings of frustrations she already must have.
 
She did not want to expose her feelings of regret to him. “No, I’m alright. There is TV, I can pass time with that. Also, my husband works so hard for the well being of me and our children. I can’t be a hinderance to that.”
 
“Let’s see how long you are able to suppress your desires,” Prabu thought to himself.
 
“Okay Bhabhi, It’s time for me to leave.” She watched him go with a bit of yearning in her heart.
 
That evening when Saravanan came back home Meera asked him,” I heard there is a new movie running in Meenam theatre.”
“I didn’t know that, why, would you like to see it?”
 
“Yes, very much. Can we go and see it this weekend?” she asked with enthusiasm.
 
Saravanan thought for a while. “Sorry Meera, I am getting delivery of new stock of marriage design sarees and other clothes this weekend.”
 
When he saw the disappointment in her face his heart melted. “Just be patient for a while, I will take you and the kids for the movie the following week.”
 
“Okay dear,” she said with a false smile on her face. She hid her disappointment from her husband.
 
That evening Prabu did not come to her house. Meera was disappointed as she was looking to ask him about the movie. Prabu came home the following morning.
 
“How come you didn’t come home last evening.”
 
Prabu purposely did not come to make her miss his presence even though he knew it was only because she had probably wanted to hear how the movie was. Nevertheless it would create the feeling in her of looking forward to seeing him.
 
“I was a bit busy, I couldn’t come.”
 
“Okay, tell me, how was the movie,” she asked eagerly.
 
“Who knows.”
 
“What do you mean? Didn’t you go for the movie?”
 
“No.”
“Why??? You said that you would be going.”
 
“No, Bhabhi, I saw the disappointment in your face and I didn’t have the heart to go and see it alone. I’ll ask Saravanan today. If he agrees, we can all go and see the movie this Sunday.”
 
He created a feeling of sympathy for him by his actions. Just for her sake he did not go for something he looked forward to. “He didn’t go and see the movie just because I was disappointed, I could not go?? Meera was surprised by this.
 
“I’ve already asked him. He said it’s not possible this week. He said we can see the movie the following week.”
 
“I don’t know if the movie will run in the theatre for that long.”
 
“Never mind then. You go and see the movie. Don’t wait for us.”
 
“No Bhabhi, If I see the movie and then tell you it was like this and like that you would be even more sad. Let’s wait for the following week. If luck is with us, we can see it then, otherwise we’ll just leave it. We can always see it when it comes on a rerun.”
 
Before this Meera looked at Prabu as more of a friend to her husband. Now she too was beginning to like him. She was beginning to take him as her friend. She did not realise how dangerous this was. When a man and a woman start meeting often alone, a friend can easily turn into a lover.
 
“Tell me Bhabhi, which actor and actress are your favourites?”
 
“Me? She told him the name of her favourite hero and heroine. What about you? She asked.
 
“I don’t have a favourite hero as long as the movie is good I will see it but my favourite heroine is ……., he told the name of his favourite actress.
 
“Why do you like her especially?”
 
“Because she is very beautiful.”
 
“There are other actresses just as beautiful or maybe even more.”
 
“Bhabhi each person has a taste. For me she is the most beautiful.” “If you promise not to get angry I will tell you one thing.”
 
“What?”
 
“Promise me you won’t get angry and I will tell you.”
 
“Okay, I promise.”
 
“You look a lot like her.”
 
“What!!! Me?” She was surprised at the same time pleased at what he said.
 
“No, you are just lying.”
 
“Why should I lie. You really look a lot like her. My friend is really lucky to marry you.”
 
“You are very bad, you are admiring your friend’s wife,” she stared at him but there was no anger in the look.
 
“I’m just stating a fact, nothing more.”
 
She laughed.
 
“If you want you can say I look like your favourite hero,” Prabu’s smile said he was only jokingly teasing.
 
“Don’t think too much of yourself you big headed fellow.”
 
Even though he was quite handsome he was nothing like her favourite actor. For one thing he was darker, a tanned brown in colour, but one thing he was taller than the hero and he was well built and muscular like the hero.
 
“Another thing Bhabhi.”
 
“What?”
 
“You don’t have to address me formerly. Just call me by name.”


Prabu expected she would also reciprocate and say the same but she was silent on that. However, it was not easy for her to call him by his name. He had to remind her several times before she got used to calling him by name.
 
“Okay Prabu, see you in the evening,” she waved him goodbye as he left on his motorbike.
 
Now as Meera was thinking back on that fateful day, she wondered, I only wanted to take him as a friend, how did we end up by being lovers. That day’s discussion on the actors must have made a unknowing impact on her. One day after Prabu had left after making love to her she had sang the song that his favourite actress and her favourite actor had sung in a movie.
 
As she bathed, her fingers caressed her secret parts tender from Prabu’s vigorous mating. Every touch reminded her of the wonderful sensation she had just experienced with her young secret lover.
 
The words to the song went like this.
 
“Hey girl who wanted water, has your thirst been quenched.”
 
“I took care of the needs of my lover, has his desire been appeased.”
