Tarun waved good bye... "I'll see you Vani... tell Rakesh as well. I'll see you Monday at the office.."

Tarun left the hotel room and Vani was still stunned and some sort of guilt covered all the pleasure because she loves her husband and Rakesh is a really good guy.

MONDAY MORNING

Vani got ready for work and she prayed the go live meeting should go smoothly without any issues. She was excited like a little kid thinking about Tarun.

During the status call Tarun didn't say a word and the project manager went around the table and asked for status. At the end of the meeting everyone yelled congratulations and applauded Vani since she managed to complete the new code build.

Vani looked at Tarun and murmured a secretive "thank you".. Tarun smiled back and got up and left the room.

It was 4:30pm everyone was leaving the office one-by-one... Vani just stayed back even though she was done with her work. She will be going back to India in two days.

6pm... Vani was still in her cube. Tarun got out of his office and walked to the exit... on the way he saw Vani. Truth be told he completely forgot about Vani for some reason. Vani stood up and said..

"Hi Tarun..."

"Hey Vani.. you are still here?"

"Yeah.. I just wanted to say thank you for saving my job. I feel like I need to give you something in return."

"No please, it's not a problem at all...."

"How about at least you let me take you out for dinner..." said Vani...

"Sure why not..." I am starving
