Chapter 20: The Calculated Whore

The first grey light of Saturday came through the curtains like a thin, watery apology, and Madhu woke to the sound of her own heartbeat hammering in her ears. For a moment—just a moment—she did not know where she was. The smell was wrong. The bed was wrong. The weight beside her was wrong. And then it all came flooding back: five days in T. Nagar, five days of whiskey and arrack and endless fucking, five days of being a whore, and now—home. Back in Adyar. Back in her husband's bed.

She lay still and took stock of her body. Her pussy ached, a deep, dull throb that she could feel even when she did not move. Her lower back was sore. There was a stiffness in her thighs and a tenderness in her ass, and when she shifted her weight, she felt a small, sharp pull in the muscle of her hip—the place where Gautham had gripped her too hard during one of the last nights. There were marks on her, she knew. Bruises on her hips, a faint one on her shoulder, a dark love-bite on the side of her neck that she had managed to cover with her hair before coming home. She was a map of the last five days. A walking, breathing record of sin.

Beside her, Rajesh slept. His breathing was deep and regular, his mouth slightly open, one arm thrown across the mattress as if reaching for her even in sleep. He looked peaceful. He looked innocent. He looked like a man who had no idea that his wife had spent the week being fucked in every hole by a twenty-one-year-old.

Madhu looked at him for a long time. Then she closed her eyes and let the memories come.

The whiskey on the third night. The way Gautham had tied her wrists to the bedposts with silk scarves and left her there for an hour, teasing her with his mouth and his fingers until she had wept and begged. The arrack on the fourth night, and the way she had ridden him on the balcony, naked, the city lights below, the cool air on her sweating skin. The morning after, when he had woken her with his cock in her mouth. The way he had laughed at her when she could not walk straight. The way he had held her afterward, his hand in her hair, his voice low in her ear, telling her that she was his, that she would always be his.

Her body remembered. Her body wanted more.

She slipped out of bed at six, careful not to wake Rajesh, and padded barefoot to the bathroom. The cold water of the morning tank was a shock, but a good one—it washed away the last of the sleep and the last of the arrack-fog, and by the time she was done, she felt almost like herself again. Almost like the woman she had been before.

She looked in the mirror. The woman who looked back was a stranger, and yet familiar. Her hair was tangled, her face pale, and there—just there, at the base of her throat, half-hidden by the strap of her nightie—was the mark. A dark, unmistakable love-bite. She touched it, pressing gently, and felt a small, secret thrill.

You are a whore, she told her reflection. You are a lying, cheating whore, and you have never been happier.

She dressed in a plain cotton saree—pale grey, faded, the kind she had worn for years—and tied her hair back in a bun. She wiped her face clean of any trace of last night's kohl. She became, in the space of ten minutes, the woman her family knew. The perfect wife. The perfect mother. The mask.

Then she went to the kitchen and started breakfast.

Rajesh woke at seven, and by then the smell of filter coffee had filled the little apartment, and the idlis were steaming on the stove, and the sambar was simmering on the back burner. Madhu heard him stirring, heard the creak of the bed, heard the bathroom door close. She arranged her face into a smile and waited.

He came into the kitchen yawning, scratching his belly through his banian, his hair sticking up at the back. He had slept well. He had slept the sleep of the untroubled.

"Good morning," he said.

"Good morning," she said. "Coffee is on the table."

He came up behind her and put his hand on her hip—a habit he had picked up again in the past weeks, since the promotion, since her return to wifeliness. It was a casual touch, the touch of a man who had remembered that he had a wife. She leaned into it, just slightly, and felt the familiar warmth of him through her saree.

"Did you sleep well?" he asked.

"Well enough," she said. "The bus was tiring."

"Five days is a long time," he said, moving to the table. "You should rest today. Do not do too much housework."

"I will manage," she said. "Eat."

He sat and opened the newspaper, and she served him—idlis, sambar, chutney, coffee—the whole ritual, the whole performance, so practised by now that she could do it in her sleep. He ate and read and occasionally grunted at something in the news, and Madhu stood at the counter and watched him and felt, for the first time in five days, something like calm.

This was her life. This was her home. This was the world she had built over twenty-two years, and she was still part of it, still holding it together, still the woman at the centre of it all. She was not just Gautham's whore. She was also this—a wife, a mother, a woman with a husband and a house and a future.

She could have both. She was beginning to believe she could have both.

Vinay emerged at seven-thirty, showered and dressed, his hair still damp. He greeted her with a nod and a murmured "Good morning, Amma," and sat down at the table. And then, as he reached for the plate she handed him, he looked at her.

Really looked.

It was a small thing—just a glance, a flicker of attention—but Madhu noticed it, and she felt her heart tighten. He was watching her. He had been watching her for weeks now, ever since he had found the photos, ever since she had promised to end it. He was looking for cracks. He was looking for signs.

"How was the training?" he asked.

"Tiring," she said. "The software is complicated. Lots of new things to learn."

"Did you go out at all? See the city?" he asked.

"Not much," she said. "There was no time. We had sessions all day."

It was a lie, of course. She had not been in Bangalore at all. She had been in T. Nagar, in Gautham's bed. But the lie was smooth now, practised, worn in like a favourite pair of chappals. She could tell it without a flicker.

Vinay nodded and returned to his plate. But he was still watching. She could feel it—the weight of his attention, the quiet calculation behind his eyes. He was waiting for her to slip up. He was waiting for the mask to crack.

She would have to be more careful than ever.

The morning passed in the ordinary way—washing up, sweeping, folding clothes. Rajesh had a half-day at the factory and left at nine-thirty, promising to be back by two. Vinay left at ten, his bag over his shoulder, heading for the college . By ten-thirty, Madhu was alone.

She stood in the middle of the empty apartment and let out a long breath. Then she went to the kitchen, opened the cupboard, and dug out the flour tin.

The secret phone was exactly where she had left it—wrapped in plastic, buried deep in the soft white powder. She unwrapped it and pressed the power button, her heart already beginning to race.

There were messages. Of course there were messages. Gautham never let a morning pass without one.

Good morning, my whore. Did you sleep?

Do you still smell of me?

Noon. Do not be late. Wear the red dress. No underwear. Heels.

She read them twice, three times, and felt the familiar warmth spread through her chest—that feeling she had come to depend on, that feeling of being wanted, of being seen. She typed back quickly, her thumbs trembling slightly.

Good morning. I am fine. Rajesh has a half day, he will be home at two. Vinay is at the library. I can come at noon.

The reply came instantly. Good. Two hours is enough. I will make you scream in the first ten.

She smiled and wrapped the phone again, burying it in the flour. Then she went to her room to get ready.

She had to be careful. This was the new rule she had decided on, standing in the empty apartment—the rule that would keep her safe. She would never again leave the house in anything but a modest cotton saree. She would never again change in a public place, a tea stall bathroom, an auto, where anyone might see. She would leave the house looking like Mrs. Rajesh Kumar, and she would arrive at Gautham's apartment looking like a wife, and only then—only behind his locked door—would she become something else.

So she wore the cotton saree, a simple one, and she put the red dress in a cloth bag along with a pair of heels and the good makeup. Then she fixed her hair, applied a light kohl, and left the apartment at eleven-forty.

The auto ride took fifteen minutes. She sat in the back, the cloth bag on her lap, her heart beating in time with the traffic. The city passed by—the shops, the flower vendors, the men at tea stalls—and she felt the same dissociation she always felt, the same sense of stepping out of one life and into another.

At Gautham's building, she climbed the stairs slowly. At the second floor, she paused outside his door, her hand raised to knock. She could hear the television inside, a low murmur. She could smell cigarette smoke.

She knocked.

The door opened. Gautham stood there in a loose white shirt, unbuttoned to the chest, and black shorts. His hair was damp from a shower. His eyes traveled over her—the cotton saree, the cloth bag, the plain face—and his mouth curved into that slow, predatory smile that had ruined her.

"You came dressed like a wife," he said.

"I always dress like a wife," she said.

"Not for long." He stepped aside, pulling her in, and closed the door. Then he locked it. The click of the bolt sounded like the closing of a vault.

"Where is the dress?" he asked.

She opened the bag and held it up. Red, short, tight—the one he had made her wear on the third day of the five, the day he had taken her against the balcony railing while the city woke below. He had liked it. He had told her so. He had said, This is the one. This is the dress you will wear when you come back.

"Good girl," he said. "Go. Change. I will wait."

She went to the bathroom and changed. She peeled off the cotton saree, the blouse, the petticoat, the underwear. She pulled on the red dress—no bra, no panties, as commanded—and slipped into the heels. She wiped off the light kohl and applied the heavy stuff, the dark lipstick, the blush. She let her hair down.

When she came out, he was sitting on the sofa, smoking. He looked at her and his eyes darkened. He crushed the cigarette in the ashtray and stood.

"Come here," he said.

She walked to him. He took her by the waist, turned her around, and looked at her in the mirror on the opposite wall—the mirror he had angled to face the sofa, the mirror he used to watch her. His hands moved over her, over the dress, over her hips, down between her legs. She was already wet. She was always already wet.

"Look at yourself," he murmured against her ear. "Look at the woman in the mirror. Who is she?"

"I do not know," she whispered.

"Yes, you do. Say it."

"She is your whore," Madhu said, and the words came easily now, easily and true.

"Good girl." His hand slid under the hem of the dress, his fingers finding her pussy, slick and ready. He rubbed her clit in slow circles. "You are soaking. You were thinking about this the whole way here."

"Yes."

"Say what you were thinking."

"I was thinking about your cock," she said, her breath hitching. "I was thinking about how it feels inside me. I was thinking about how you were going to take me as soon as I walked in."

"Then bend over," he said. "And let me take you."

She bent over the arm of the sofa, her hands braced on the cushions, the red dress riding up over her hips. He did not bother to undress her. He simply freed his cock from his shorts and pushed into her in one slow, deep stroke.

Madhu cried out, her back arching. The fullness of him, the sudden stretch, the way he filled every inch—it was overwhelming, always, no matter how many times he did it. Her fingers curled into the cushions. Her body shook.

"Five days," he said, his voice low and rough. " Do you know how hard I have been? Do you know how many times I stroked myself thinking about this pussy?"

"Yes," she gasped. "Yes."

He began to move—slow, deep strokes, his hips rolling, his cock dragging along her inner walls. He gripped her hips, pulling her back onto him with each thrust, and the wet sound of their bodies filled the room. She could see them in the mirror—her bent over the sofa, him behind her, his cock sliding in and out of her slick pussy, her tits swinging with each thrust.

"Look," he said, nodding at the mirror. "Look at yourself."

She looked. She saw a woman she barely recognised—face flushed, mouth open, hair wild, a red dress bunched around her waist. She saw a woman being fucked. She saw a whore.

"You see that?" Gautham said. "That is the real you. That is the woman underneath the saree and the bun and the data entry. That is the woman your husband does not know. The woman your son does not know. Only I know her. Only I get to see her."

"Yes," she moaned. "Only you."

He fucked her faster, harder, one hand reaching around to rub her clit while the other gripped her hip. The pleasure built in her belly, sharp and urgent. She was already close—she had been close since she walked in—and she knew she would not last.

"Cum," he commanded. "Cum on my cock. Show me how much you missed it."

And she did—her orgasm crashing through her, her pussy clamping down on him, her legs trembling, a long, broken cry tearing out of her throat. He kept fucking her through it, relentless, until she was oversensitive and gasping, and then he pulled out and turned her around.

"On your knees," he said. "Clean me up."

She knelt. He pushed his cock—wet with her own juices—into her mouth, and she sucked him, tasting herself, her hand wrapped around the base, her tongue working the head. He groaned, his hand in her hair, and she took him deep until he hit the back of her throat.

"Fuck," he muttered. "Your mouth. You have learned so well."

She worked him for a long time, alternating between her mouth and her hand, teasing him, edging him. She had learned his rhythms now. She knew when to suck hard, when to go slow, when to cup his balls and press just there. She knew how to make him twitch and curse and grip her hair.

Then he pulled her up, pushed her onto the bed, and climbed over her. He did not enter her. He moved up, his knees on either side of her shoulders, and fed her his cock again, slower this time, letting her take him at her own pace. She sucked him while he watched, her eyes on his, and he looked down at her with an expression that was almost tender.

"You are beautiful like this," he said. "On your back. My cock in your mouth. Nowhere to be. No one to be."

She hummed around him, and he shuddered.

Then he moved down her body, kissing her neck, her collarbone, the tops of her breasts above the dress. He pulled the dress down, freeing her tits, and took a nipple into his mouth, sucking hard. She gasped, arching up. He moved to the other, biting gently, and she moaned.

"Turn over," he said. "On your stomach. Ass up."

She turned. He pushed her knees apart, lifted her hips, and entered her from behind—doggy, slow and deep. His hands gripped her waist. His cock slid in and out of her pussy with a wet, filthy sound. She pressed her face into the pillow and moaned.

"One more," he said. "Then we will talk."

He fucked her slowly this time, drawing it out, and the second orgasm built in her, slow and deep. When it came, it rolled through her in long waves, and she sobbed into the pillow, her body shaking. He came a moment later, burying himself to the hilt and holding there, his cock pulsing, his semen pumping deep into her. He groaned her name, over and over, and then collapsed onto her back, breathing hard.

For a long moment, neither of them moved. The room was quiet except for their breathing and the distant hum of the city outside.

Then he rolled off her, and she lay there, limp and trembling, his cum leaking out of her and down her thigh, the red dress bunched around her waist, the heels still on her feet.

"Perfect," he said, and she smiled into the pillow.

Afterward, they lay together on the bed, and he talked.

He talked about the five days—how good it had been, how he had not wanted it to end, how empty the apartment had felt when she left. He talked about his work, about a difficult client, about his uncle's plans to expand. And then, almost casually, he said:

"My parents have started looking."

She turned her head. "Looking?"

"For a bride. For me."

Madhu lay very still. She had known it would happen—of course she had known. He was twenty-one, from a decent family. Of course they would look. But hearing it said out loud, in the afterglow of sex, was different.

"When did they start?" she asked.

"A few weeks ago. After my cousin's wedding. My mother decided it was time." He shrugged. "You know how these things are."

"Have they found anyone?"

"They have shown me some photos. A girl from Coimbatore. Another from Trichy. Nothing is decided." He paused. "There is a first meeting next week. With one of them."

Madhu stared at the ceiling. A bride. A girl of  twenty. Fair, slim, homely. A girl who would be everything Madhu was not—young, unmarried, fresh, uncomplicated.

"And what happens to me?" she asked.

Gautham turned onto his side and looked at her. "What do you want to happen?"

"I am asking you."

"No, you are deflecting. You always do." He reached out and touched her cheek. "Answer the question, Madhu. When I marry—when I bring a girl into my life, into my bed—what do you want to happen to us?"

Madhu looked at him. At his young face, his dark eyes, the confidence in his jaw. And she realised, with a clarity that hurt, that she did not know. She had been so busy living the present—the lying, the fucking, the hiding—that she had never thought about the future.

"I do not know," she admitted.

"Then think about it," he said. "Because I am telling you now: when I marry, I want to keep you. I want you to still be mine. In whatever way that means. And if you want to be kept, we will find a way. But if you want to end it when I marry—if you want to go back to being just a neighbour's wife—then tell me now, so I can prepare myself."

"Prepare yourself for what?"

"For the day you leave me," he said simply.

Madhu felt the tears prick her eyes. She did not know why. She had no right to cry. She was a married woman, a mother, a woman with a whole life of her own. And yet, the thought of losing him—of being just another aunty in his past—made her chest ache.

"I do not want to lose you," she said.

"Then you will not," he said. "Not if I have anything to say about it."

He pulled her against him, and she buried her face in his shoulder. And for a while, she allowed herself to believe it. That she could have both. That the secret would hold. That she could be a wife and a mother and a whore, all at once, forever.

Then she looked at the clock, and her stomach lurched. "One-thirty. I have to go."

She dressed quickly—the cotton saree again, the mask again—and scrubbed her face clean in his bathroom. She wrapped the red dress in the cloth bag and checked herself in the mirror. The mark on her neck was fresh now, darker than before. She would have to cover it.

"Tomorrow?" Gautham asked.

"Sunday," she said. "Rajesh will be home. Maybe evening."

"Do not force it," he said. "Do not get caught. We have time."

We have time. She carried the words with her as she left his apartment and walked out into the drizzle.

She reached home at one-fifty, ten minutes before Rajesh. She let herself in, changed out of the saree into a fresh one, splashed water on her face, and set the table. By the time Rajesh walked in at two, she was in the kitchen, stirring the sambar, humming softly.

"Back already?" she said.

"They let us off early," Rajesh said, sitting down heavily. "The machine was fixed faster than expected. Good thing—the traffic was terrible."

"Wash your hands," she said. "Lunch is ready."

They ate together. Rajesh talked about the factory. Madhu listened and nodded and made the right sounds, but her mind was elsewhere—replaying the afternoon, the way he had held her afterward, the words he had said. I want to keep you. We will find a way.

And underneath the memory, a small, urgent worry had begun to build. Because Rajesh had said something last week, almost in passing, that she had not really registered until now. Something about how, with the promotion, they could afford a better flat. Something about Velachery, or Guindy. Something about moving.

If they moved—if they left Adyar, left the building, left everything—what would happen to her and Gautham?

The near-discovery came that evening.

Vinay returned from the library at six. He had spent the day with Ananya, and there was a softness to him now, a new ease, that Madhu could not help but notice. He greeted her, ate his dinner, and then sat in the living room with a book while Rajesh watched the news.

Madhu was in the kitchen, washing up, when she heard it—the faint, muffled buzz of the secret phone from her purse.

She froze. The purse was on the sofa, right beside Vinay.

"Amma?" Vinay called. "Your phone is ringing."

"My phone?" She had two phones now. He did not know that.

"Yes. It is in your purse."

"No, no, I will get it—" But she was too slow. By the time she reached the living room, Vinay had already picked up her purse and was reaching inside.

"It stopped," he said. He was holding the purse open, looking at the contents. And there—half-tucked behind her wallet, small and dark and unfamiliar—was the second phone.

Vinay frowned. "Amma, there is another phone in here."

Madhu's heart stopped.

"What?" Rajesh said, looking up. "Another phone? Since when do you have two phones?"

Madhu's mind raced. She had not prepared for this. She had taken the phone out that morning and forgotten to put it back in the flour.

"Oh, that," she said, forcing a light laugh. "It is my old phone. From before. I keep it as a backup."

"A backup?" Rajesh said.

"Yes. The company gave me a new one for the training. For the new software. So I keep the old one in case."

It was a decent lie. Plausible. Rajesh nodded, apparently satisfied, and returned to the news.

But Vinay was still holding the purse. Still looking at the phone. And Madhu saw the flicker of doubt in his eyes.

"Can I see it?" he asked.

"See what?"

"The new phone."

Madhu's throat tightened. "Of course." She reached into the purse and pulled out the phone, holding it up so he could see the blank screen. "See? Just a work phone."

She had not unlocked it. She had not shown him the messages. She had not shown him the wallpaper—the photo of her own face, covered in cum. But Vinay had only glanced. He had not asked to unlock it.

"It looks nice," he said, and let it go.

Madhu exhaled. She slipped the phone back into the purse and carried it to her room. She would bury it in the flour again, she decided, and she would never again be so careless. She decided to buy another phone to compensate the phone because Vinay may anytime will ask again to show the other phone .

But as she lay in bed that night, beside her sleeping husband, she knew that she had used up one of her lives. The phone was out. Vinay had seen it. The next time, he would ask to unlock it. And the next time, he would see.

She would have to be more careful.

The New Rules

The next morning—Sunday—Madhu sat alone in the kitchen before the others woke, and she made a plan.

She had been lucky. She had been careless, and she had been lucky, and luck was not something she could rely on forever. So she would build a system. A routine. A set of rules so strict, so precise, that no one would ever catch her.

The rules, as she wrote them in her head:

One. She would never leave the house in anything but a modest cotton saree. Not chiffon, not silk, not anything that might draw the eye. Just cotton. The uniform of a housewife.

Two. She would change into the slutty clothes only after she was inside Gautham's apartment, behind his locked door. Never in a public place. Never in an auto or a tea stall bathroom.

Three. She would always shower before coming home. She would wash away the smell of him, the smell of smoke, the smell of sex. She would return in the cotton saree, fresh and clean, and no one would know.

Four. She would plan every meeting with precise timing and a strong alibi. She would know exactly how long she could be gone, exactly when Rajesh would return, exactly when Vinay would be home. She would never overrun. She would never be late.

Five. She would keep the secret phone hidden—really hidden—and she would check it only when she was alone.

Six. She would carry a small perfume in her bag, and chewing gum, to hide the smell of cigarettes and alcohol.

Seven. She would leave some set of clothes permanently at Gautham's apartment—one dress, one pair of heels, one set of lingerie—so that she never had to carry a bag and risk it being seen.

It was a good plan. A clean plan. A plan that would keep her safe.

She wrote it in her head, and then she got up and started breakfast, and by the time Rajesh and Vinay woke, she was the perfect wife again, and no one would ever have known that anything was different.

But something was different. Something had changed in her, in the week since the five days, in the days since she had come home. She had crossed a line, and she had come back, and she had realised that she could cross it again. And again. And again.

She was not a woman having an affair anymore. She was a woman living a double life. And she was going to become very, very good at it.

The new system worked. Over the next two weeks, Madhu perfected it.

She found a second hiding place for the phone—not just the flour tin, but a small cloth pouch she could keep in her handbag, hidden among the other things. She left a set of clothes at Gautham's—the red dress, the black dress, a pair of heels, a black lace lingerie set—so that she never had to carry anything. She bought a small bottle of jasmine perfume, the kind that smelled like temple flowers, and a pack of mint chewing gum, and she kept them both in her bag.

And she became a master of the alibi.

A visit to the temple, she would say, and come back with a small bag of prasad to prove it.

A trip to the market, she would say, and come back with vegetables.

A visit to a friend from the old neighbourhood, she would say, and come back with a story about the friend's children.

She became a woman of small, verifiable truths. She made sure that every lie she told had a grain of reality in it. If she said she was going to the temple, she actually went to the temple—just not for the whole time. If she said she was going to the market, she actually went to the market—just quickly, on the way back. The lie was buried in the truth. No one could separate them.

And Rajesh, kind, trusting Rajesh, believed every word.

Vinay was harder. Vinay watched her. For the first week after the five days, he watched her constantly—at breakfast, at dinner, in the evenings. He noticed small things: the way she checked her phone, the way she left the house, the way she came back. He was looking for cracks.

But Madhu gave him no cracks. She was, if anything, more present than before—more attentive, more affectionate, more interested in his studies, more interested in his life. She asked about Ananya. She asked about the CAT preparation. She asked about his day. She cooked his favourite dishes. She was, in every way, the mother he had always known.

And slowly, over the two weeks, Vinay began to relax. The suspicion faded from his eyes. He began to talk to her again, really talk, the way he had before. He began to smile.

And Madhu, watching him relax, felt a complicated mix of relief and guilt. He was beginning to trust her again. He was beginning to believe that she had ended it, that she had chosen them, that she was the woman he thought she was.

And the whole time, she was still sleeping with Gautham. The whole time, she was still lying.

Few days later .

The first command came on a Tuesday night.

Rajesh had fallen asleep early, exhausted from a long day at the factory, and Madhu lay beside him in the dark, her mind drifting, when her hand found its way to her phone—the secret phone, hidden under the pillow.

There was a message from Gautham.

Are you in bed?

Yes, she typed. Rajesh is asleep.

Good. Now do something for me. Touch yourself. Slowly. And send me a video when you cum.

Madhu's heart quickened. She looked at Rajesh—deeply asleep, his breathing regular—and then at the door to the room. It was closed. It was dark. She could do it. She could.

She turned on the phone's camera and propped it against the pillow, angled at her body. Then she slid her hand under her nightie, under her panties, and touched herself.

It felt strange at first—to touch herself knowing that Gautham would watch. But the strangeness faded quickly, replaced by a hot, urgent thrill. She imagined him watching the video, his cock in his hand, his eyes on her body. She imagined him lying in his own bed in T. Nagar, alone, thinking of her.

She was wet almost immediately. She rubbed her clit in slow circles, then slid two fingers inside herself, careful not to make a sound. Her hips lifted. Her breath caught. Beside her, Rajesh slept on, oblivious.

She came quietly—a small, stifled gasp, her body clenching around her fingers—and then, still trembling, she picked up the phone and stopped the recording.

She sent it.

The reply came almost instantly. Fuck. You are perfect. Watch this.

A video came back—a short one, just thirty seconds. Gautham, lying in his bed, his huge cock in his hand, stroking himself. He was already close—his strokes were fast and rough, his breathing ragged—and then he was cumming, thick ropes of semen spurting onto his stomach, his hand milking every last drop.

Madhu watched it three times. Then she cleaned herself with a tissue, put the phone back under the pillow, and lay back beside her husband.

Her body was still humming. Her pussy was still wet. And beside her, Rajesh slept on, dreaming his innocent dreams.

She did not sleep for a long time.

The commands continued. They became a part of her life, a secret rhythm that ran underneath the ordinary one.

One morning, while she was cooking, the phone buzzed. She checked it.

Go to the bathroom. Take off your blouse. Take a photo of your tits. Send it in three minutes.

She went to the bathroom, pulled up her saree and blouse, and took the photo—her breasts, full and heavy, the nipples already hard. She sent it. She was back at the stove before the sambar boiled over.

Another day, he told her to wear the small butt plug for two hours while she did her housework. She had never worn it outside his apartment before—had only ever worn it during their sessions—and the sensation of it, buried inside her, was strange and constant and arousing. Every time she bent to sweep, every time she lifted a vessel, she felt it. She felt full. She felt marked. She felt like his.

She messaged him from the kitchen, the phone hidden in her hand behind the counter.

It is inside me. I can feel it. It is driving me mad.

Good, he replied. Now go and cook dinner for your husband with my plug in your ass. And tonight, when he is asleep, you will take it out and send me a photo of it.

She did. She cooked dinner with the plug in her ass, served her family, cleared the plates. She was, on the surface, the same Madhu. Underneath, she was quivering.

And Vinay, sitting across the table, watching her, noticed nothing unusual. He noticed only that his mother seemed a little flushed, a little distracted. He put it down to the heat.

Once, in the third week, Gautham came to her.

It was a Thursday, and both Rajesh and Vinay were out—Rajesh at the factory, Vinay at the library. Madhu had messaged him that she was alone, and he had replied that he would come. It was a risk, a big one. He had never been to her apartment while she was alone, not since the very early days. And this time, there would be no Vinay to cover, no buffer. Just the two of them, in her house, in her space.

She prepared carefully. She cleaned the house. She made sure there was nothing out of place. And then, at three o'clock, she heard his bike outside.

She opened the door before he could knock. He came in, looking around at the small apartment—the sofa, the TV, the dining table, the corridor to the bedrooms. As if he is seeing it first time he had really seen it, and she watched his eyes move over it, taking it in.

"So this is where you live," he said jokingly.

"Yes."

"This is where you cook. Where you sleep. Where you be a good wife." He walked slowly around, touching things—the dining table, the back of a chair, the edge of the sofa. Then he stopped at the door to her bedroom and looked inside.

Her bedroom. The bedroom she shared with Rajesh. The bed they had slept in for twenty-two years.

"This is the bed," he said.

"Yes."

He walked in. He stood at the foot of the bed and looked at it—the modest cotton sheets, the two pillows, the small photo of the family on the bedside table. Then he turned and looked at her.

"Take off your clothes," he said. "And lie down on your husband's bed."

She undressed slowly, folding her saree, and lay down on the bed—her marital bed, the bed where she had lost her virginity, the bed where Vinay had been conceived. She lay there, naked, her heart hammering, and watched Gautham undress.

He climbed onto the bed and knelt between her legs. He looked down at her for a long moment, and there was something in his face—something almost solemn, almost tender. He understood, she realised, the significance of this. He understood that he was in her husband's bed. He understood what it meant.

"Rajesh's bed," he murmured. "Rajesh's wife. And here I am."

He lowered his mouth to her breasts and began to suck. She arched up, her hands finding his hair. He took his time—slow, deliberate, moving from one nipple to the other, his tongue and teeth teasing her. Then he kissed his way down her stomach and buried his face between her legs.

He ate her out slowly, thoroughly, his tongue flat and warm against her clit, his fingers sliding into her. She moaned, her hips lifting, and he held her down with one hand on her belly. He licked her until she came—a long, slow orgasm that rolled through her—and then he licked her again, until she was trembling and oversensitive and begging him to stop.

Then he climbed over her and pushed his cock into her.

She wrapped her legs around him and pulled him in. He fucked her slowly, deeply, his eyes on her face. The bed creaked beneath them—the same bed that creaked when Rajesh made love to her—and she thought, for a moment, of the two men, of the two lives, of the impossibility of it all.

"Where does he fuck you?" Gautham asked, his voice low. "Does he do it here? In this bed?"

"Yes."

"Does he make you cum?"

"Sometimes."

"Does he make you scream?"

"No. Never."

"Good." He thrust deeper, and she gasped. "Because you are mine to make scream. From now on, this bed is mine too. This is where I fuck his wife."

He fucked her harder then, and the bed creaked louder, and she stopped thinking about Rajesh and thought only about the man inside her. He took her through three positions—missionary, then doggy, then cowgirl—and in the end, when she was on top of him, riding him, her tits bouncing, he reached up and grabbed her hips and pulled her down onto him, hard, again and again, until she came with a scream she had to muffle in the pillow.

He came inside her, filling her, and she collapsed onto his chest, breathing hard.

They lay there for a while, in her marital bed, and then they heard the sound of footsteps on the stairs outside. Vinay. He was early.

"Shit," Madhu hissed.

She scrambled up. She looked at herself—naked, flushed, his cum between her thighs. She looked at the bed—rumpled, obvious. She looked at Gautham—naked, hard again, grinning.

"Get dressed," she said. "Quickly."

They dressed in a frantic hurry, and Madhu did her best to smooth the bed. Then she opened the door just as Vinay's key turned in the lock, and she was standing in the kitchen, stirring something, and Gautham was sitting on the sofa, reading a newspaper as if he had been there for hours.

Vinay walked in and stopped. "Gautham?"

"Vinay!" Gautham said, standing up. "I was just in the area. Thought I would say hello. Your mother was kind enough to give me some coffee."

Vinay looked at him, then at his mother. Madhu smiled. "He came to see you, actually. But you were at the library."

"Right," Vinay said. He looked at the sofa, at the newspaper, at Gautham's perfectly innocent face. Nothing was out of place. Nothing was suspicious. "Okay," he said, and went to his room.

Madhu exhaled. Gautham caught her eye and winked.

They had got away with it.

Gautham and Vinay then have a serious conversation in the room that gradually turns into a heated confrontation. Vinay warns Gautham to leave and never return, making it clear that he cannot predict what he might do if Gautham continues interfering in his family. Gautham responds with a faint smile, remaining surprisingly calm despite Vinay’s anger. He gathers his belongings and promises that he will never disturb Vinay’s family again.

As the weeks passed, Gautham began to push her further.

He had taught her so much already—the blowjobs, the anal, the cowgirl, the doggy, the sixty-nine. But there was always more. He was a man who did not believe in standing still, and he wanted to see how far she would go.

The anal became longer and rougher. He would spend an hour on it, working her open with his fingers and his tongue—sometimes even his rimjob, which she had learned to love—before pushing into her. He would fuck her ass slowly at first, then harder, until she was moaning and pushing back against him, and then he would reach around and rub her clit and make her come with his cock in her ass.

She had never imagined she would enjoy it. She had thought it would be dirty, painful, degrading. But it was none of those things—or rather, it was all of those things, and that was the point. It was dirty, and she loved it. It was degrading, and she craved it. It was the most intimate thing she had ever done.

He bought her a small butt plug and made her wear it at home, as he had before, but now more often. He bought her a bigger one, too, and a small vibrator, and a pair of nipple clamps that pinched and ached in a way that made her wet.

He blindfolded her and made her lie still while he touched her with ice and warm oil. He tied her wrists with silk scarves and made her beg. He spanked her until her ass was pink and warm, and then he fucked her while she was still tingling. He pulled her hair and slapped her face—lightly, just enough to make her gasp—and told her she was a good whore.

He edged her for an hour once, bringing her to the edge again and again and then stopping, until she was weeping and begging him to let her come. And when he finally did let her, she came so hard she saw white.

He made her talk dirty—in tamil and in the few english words he allowed—while he filmed her. He made her say things she would never have said before. I am your whore. Fuck my married pussy. Fill me with your cum. He made her say them until they became true.

He made her wear the open-cup bra and the crotchless panties. He made her wear the transparent chiffon sarees with no petticoat, so that when he lifted the pallu, she was naked underneath. He made her wear the micro-skirts and the crop tops, and he laughed at her when she tried to walk in them, and then he took them off her and fucked her anyway.

He bought her more clothes than she had ever owned in her life. And every piece of it, she wore only for him.

Gautham was a collector, and now he began to collect her.

He made a folder on his phone—Madhu, he called it—and he saved everything there. Every video. Every photo. Every recording of her moaning his name, of her taking his cock, of her coming. He saved them all.

And then he made her watch them with him.

They would sit on his sofa, and he would open the folder, and he would play the videos while she sat beside him, blushing and squirming. He would point out things—Look at your face here. Look at how you took it. Look at how wet you were.—and she would watch herself, the way she looked when she was being fucked, and she would feel a strange mix of shame and pride.

"Rate yourself," he would say.

"Rate myself?"

"Out of ten. How good was that one? How good was the blowjob? How good was the anal? How good was your dirty talk?"

She would rate herself—seven, eight, sometimes nine—and he would laugh and say she was too generous. Or he would say she was right, that she was getting better, that she was the best he had ever had.

He made her write notes.

That had started as a joke. One evening, after a long session, he had handed her a pen and a piece of paper and said, Write down what you felt. What you were thinking. What you were ashamed of. And she had written—awkwardly, self-consciously—a few lines about how full she had felt, how good it had been, how she had been terrified of being caught. He had read it and smiled and put it in a drawer.

After that, it became a ritual. After every session, she wrote a note. She wrote about the things she could not say out loud. She wrote about the shame and the pleasure and the confusion. She wrote about Rajesh and Vinay and the double life. She wrote about how much she wanted him, how much she needed him, how frightened she was of losing him.

He kept every note. He had a small box, a wooden one, where he stored them. He called it his trophy box.

She found it once, when he was in the shower, and she opened it and read through the notes—her own handwriting, her own shame, laid bare. It was strange, seeing her feelings on paper. It was like reading a diary she had not known she was keeping.

She put the notes back and closed the box. And she felt, for the first time, that she was not just his lover. She was his possession. His collection. His.

And she found that she did not mind.

Gautham liked risk. He liked the thrill of being caught, the possibility of discovery, the danger. And as their affair went on, he began to take her to places where the risk was higher.

The first was a bus.

It was a Saturday, and he had told her to meet him at a bus stop in T. Nagar, far from her usual routes. She had gone in a cotton saree, and he had been waiting, and when the bus came—a crowded one, packed with people—he had pulled her on.

They stood at the back, pressed together by the crush of bodies. The bus lurched and swayed, and his body pressed against hers, and his hand found her hip. Then his hand slid down, under the edge of her saree, under her petticoat, and his fingers found her pussy.

Madhu gasped. There were people all around them—a woman with a basket of vegetables, a group of students, an old man sitting nearby. But the angle was such that no one could see his hand, hidden under the folds of her saree.

He fingered her slowly, his fingers sliding into her wet pussy while the bus jolted along. And his cock—hard, pressing against her ass—rubbed against her with every movement. She had to bite her lip to keep from moaning.

The old man on the seat beside them noticed. She saw him notice—saw his eyes flicker to her face, to her flushed cheeks, to the way she was breathing. And then, slowly, an expression of understanding came over him, and he smiled, and his own hand moved to adjust himself in his dhoti.

Madhu saw it. And it made her wetter.

When the bus reached the last stop, Gautham pulled his hand out, wet and glistening, and licked his fingers. Then he took her hand and led her off the bus and down a side street to a oyo room , the kind rented by the hour—and he took a room and fucked her senseless.

She came twice. He came once, deep inside her, and she had to wash herself in the tiny bathroom before going home.

She reached home late, and Rajesh asked where she had been.

"To the temple," she said. "And then to the market. The bus was crowded."

He believed her.

The second was a changing room.

He had taken her shopping—to a clothing store in T. Nagar, a big one, the kind with rows and rows of clothes. He had picked out a few things for her to try, and she had gone into the changing room, and then he had slipped in behind her.

The changing room was small—just enough room for one person and a mirror. He closed the curtain and locked it. And then he pushed her against the mirror and lifted her saree and fucked her, standing up, her face pressed to the cool glass, her breath fogging it.

They had to be quiet—there were other customers outside—and the effort of staying silent made it more intense. She watched herself in the mirror, watched his reflection behind her, watched the way her face changed as she came. And then, just as she was about to cry out, he clapped his hand over her mouth, and she came with his palm pressed to her lips.

They were out in five minutes. No one had noticed.

The third was a car.

He borrowed his uncle's car one afternoon and took her to the beach. Not the crowded Marina, but a quieter stretch further south, where the road ran close to the water and there was space to park.

They parked and talked, and then he unzipped his pants and guided her head into his lap. She gave him a blowjob in the car—slow and wet, her hand wrapped around his base, her tongue on his head—and he leaned back and groaned and ran his fingers through her hair.

And then, just as she was deep in it, a couple walked past the car, close enough to see. She froze—her mouth full of his cock, her eyes wide—and the fear of being caught, the thought that a stranger might have seen her, made her come without being touched.

She came with his cock in her mouth, her thighs pressed together, her whole body shuddering. And he laughed and held her head and came in her mouth a moment later, and she swallowed it all.

They drove home, and she scrubbed her face clean in the car mirror, and no one was the wiser.

But the thing that changed her most—the thing that made her realise how deep she had gone—.

It happened on a Wednesday afternoon, in his apartment, after a long session. She was lying on his bed, naked and satisfied, her body still humming, when he reached over and touched the gold chain around her neck.

The necklace that marked her as a married woman, the symbol of her union with Rajesh. She had worn it for twenty-two years. She had never taken it off.

"Take it off," Gautham said.

Madhu blinked. "What?"

" Take it off."

She reached up and touched it. The thin gold chain she owned. It was the symbol of her marriage. It was the thing that made her a wife.

"Why?" she asked.

"Because," Gautham said, "as long as you wear it, you belong to him. Half of you, at least. And I want to see what happens when you take it off."

"It is just a chain," she said.

"It is not just a chain," he said. "You know it is not."

She did know. She had known, every day for twenty-two years, when she had touched it in the morning, when she had looked at it in the mirror. It was the chain that bound her to Rajesh. And taking it off—even for a moment—felt like a betrayal.

"I cannot just take it off," she said. "It is sacred."

"Then take it off slowly," he said. "And tell me how it feels."

She sat up. She reached behind her neck and found the clasp. Her fingers trembled. She unfastened it—the small click of the clasp—and lifted the chain away from her throat. It felt lighter without it. It felt naked.

She held it in her palm—the thin gold, the black beads—and looked at it. And she felt, absurdly, the tears prick her eyes.

"It feels like a betrayal," she said.

"Good," Gautham said. "Now give it to me."

She handed it to him. He took it, and he looked at it, and then he did something she had not expected. He wrapped it around the base of his cock.

The chain, the sacred thread, coiled around his shaft, the small gold pendant resting against his balls. He held it there and looked at her, and there was something almost triumphant in his eyes.

"Now," he said, "come here and fuck your husband's ."

She climbed onto him. She lowered herself onto his cock—the cock with her respect wrapped around it—and she rode him, slowly, her eyes fixed on the chain, inside her. The symbol of her love, inside her, around another man's cock.

She came so hard she wept.

He filmed it. He propped the phone against the pillow and filmed the whole thing—her riding him, her weeping, the chain around his cock. And afterward, he made her watch it with him.

Look at that, he said. Look at you. You are on my cock and you are crying. That is how much you belong to me now.

She watched herself, and she did not know whether to laugh or to cry.

For two days after, she was disturbed.

She went home and put the chain back on, of course—Rajesh would have noticed—but it felt different now. It felt heavier. It felt like a lie.

She became unusually quiet, unusually soft with Rajesh. She cooked his favourite dishes. She sat with him while he watched the news. She held his hand. She was, for two days, the most loving wife she had been in years—as if she were trying to make up for something, to balance some invisible scale.

And at the same time, she messaged Gautham constantly. She needed reassurance. She needed to hear him say that she was his, that she belonged to him, that she was still wanted. She needed to know that the chain around his cock had meant something.

You are mine, he wrote. The chain is just a chain. You are mine.

And she believed him. And she needed to believe him.

And Rajesh, kind, oblivious Rajesh, noticed only that his wife seemed more loving than usual, and he was pleased, and he put it down to the promotion, to the better times, to the fact that they were finally, after all these years, happy again.

He did not know. He had no idea.

The drinking became regular.

It had started in the five days, but now it was a part of every meeting. Whiskey, mostly—the cheap local kind, served in small steel tumblers—and sometimes arrack, which she had learned to drink properly, with water. She would have one or two glasses, and the drink would loosen her, and she would become talkative and warm and shameless. And then she would fuck him, and it would be better—looser, freer, wilder—and she would say things she would never have said sober.

Sometimes she came home slightly unsteady. She would blame it on a headache, or a mild fever, or the heat. And because she had been so well-behaved, because she had been the perfect wife for weeks, both Rajesh and Vinay believed her.

"You look tired," Rajesh would say.

"Just a headache," she would say. "I will rest."

And she would lie down, and the room would spin gently, and she would smile to herself, thinking of the afternoon.

The smoking became regular too.

Gautham had taught her after sex, in the  days. He would light a cigarette and hand it to her, and she would smoke it on the balcony, naked, looking out at the city. At first she had coughed. Now she was used to it. Now she liked it—the slow drag, the burn in her throat, the way the smoke curled up into the air.

She started carrying a small bottle of jasmine perfume and a pack of mint gum to hide the smell. She would chew the gum on the way home and spray the perfume on her saree, and by the time she walked through the door, she smelled like nothing but flowers.

Once, though, she nearly got caught. Vinay, at dinner, sniffed and said, "Amma, you smell different."

Madhu's heart lurched. "Different?"

"Yes. Like... like smoke."

"The temple," she said quickly. "They were burning camphor and incense. It gets into the clothes."

Vinay nodded. "Right," he said, and went back to his food.

Madhu exhaled. She would have to be more careful.

Meanwhile, the two other women had their own lives.

Madhu did not see them often now—she was too busy with her own secret, and Gautham had narrowed his focus to her—but she heard things, and she noticed things, and she pieced together what was happening.

Mrs. Padma and Mrs. Lakshmi were seeing each other. Not just with Gautham, but with each other. They met in the afternoons, when their husbands were at work and their children at college, and they lay together in Mrs. Lakshmi's bed and touched each other the way Gautham had taught them.

Madhu saw them once, in the corridor, coming down from Mrs. Lakshmi's flat together. They were both flushed, both slightly dishevelled, both smiling. They saw her and stopped.

"Madhu," Mrs. Padma said.

"Hello," Madhu said.

There was a moment of silence—a strange, charged silence—and then Mrs. Lakshmi said, "You look well. Different."

"So do you," Madhu said.

They looked at each other. And in that look, Madhu understood something: they knew. They knew about her and Gautham. They knew she was still seeing him. And they were not jealous—not exactly—but there was something in their faces, a quiet resentment, a quiet resignation.

You are the favourite, Mrs. Padma's eyes said. He chose you. And we are left behind.

Madhu did not know what to say. So she smiled and walked on.

And later, when Gautham called all three of them together again—a threesome, a competition—the tension was palpable.

They were in his apartment, the three of them, and he made them all kneel, and he made them take turns sucking his cock. And Madhu could feel the other two watching her, competing with her, trying to outdo her. And she competed back. She took him deeper. She moaned louder. She let him slap her ass and call her his whore, and she said it back, and the other two fell silent.

And afterward, when he had come across all three of their faces, and they were lying on the floor together, spent and sticky, Mrs. Padma turned to her and said, quietly, "You have changed."

"Have I?"

"Yes. You are... confident. You are not afraid anymore." She paused. "You are one of us now."

Madhu looked at her. And she felt a strange mix of pride and sorrow—pride that she had become something, sorrow that what she had become was this.

"I suppose I am," she said.

And she did not know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

It was in the fourth week that Gautham introduced her to the drugs.

She had refused at first. She had refused everything at first—the smoking, the drinking, the anal, the photos—and he had worn her down each time. This would be the same.

"It is a mild one," he said. "Just a small tablet. It makes you feel... loose. Sensitive. Everything feels better."

"I do not want to feel strange," she said.

"You will not feel strange. You will feel wonderful. Trust me."

She did not trust him. Not really. But she trusted the way he made her feel, and that was enough.

So she took the tablet—half of one, because she was nervous—and she waited.

At first, nothing happened. And then, slowly, it did.

The first thing was her skin. Her skin became alive—hyper-sensitive, aware of everything. The brush of her saree against her body became a caress. The air on her arms became a touch. She felt everything, all at once, and it was overwhelming.

The second thing was time. Time slowed. Everything stretched—the seconds became minutes, the minutes became hours. She felt like she had all the time in the world. She felt like there was nothing to rush.

The third thing was her mind. It loosened. The constant worry, the constant calculation, the constant guilt—it all fell away, and she was left with something simpler. She was left with feeling. She was left with pleasure. She was left with the moment.

She became talkative. Shameless. She said things she would never have said. She told Gautham that she loved him. She told him that she thought about him constantly. She told him that she had never felt anything like this in her life.

And then he took her to bed, and it was like nothing she had ever experienced.

Every touch was magnified. Every stroke of his cock inside her felt like a revelation. She could feel every inch of him, every ridge and vein, and each one sent a shock of pleasure through her. She came and came and came, more than she had ever come, and each one was longer and deeper than the last.

She was insatiable. She wanted more—more cock, more touch, more everything. She rode him until her thighs ached. She sucked his cock until her jaw was sore. She took him in her ass and begged for more. She was a woman possessed, a woman unmade, a woman remade.

And when it finally wore off—hours later, when the sun had gone down and the room was dark—she lay there, trembling, and felt both scared and deeply, deeply curious.

"What was that?" she whispered.

"That," Gautham said, "is what you have been missing."

She went home that night and told Rajesh she had a fever that she had went to hospital to check up. She slept like the dead. And the next day, she asked him when they could do it again.

And through all of it, her work suffered.

It had started small. She had been a good worker—careful, accurate, reliable. She had done her data entry every day, on time, without errors. She had been proud of it. It had been the one part of her life that had remained solid, respectable, hers.

But now, with the double life, with the drinking and the smoking and the drugs and the fucking, she began to slip.

The first thing to go was the timing. She started submitting her work late. At first, she made excuses—power cuts, laptop problems, family matters—and her supervisor accepted them. But then the excuses became more frequent, and the supervisor began to notice.

The second thing to go was the quality. Her concentration was shot. She made errors—small ones at first, then bigger ones. A wrong address. A wrong number. A missing entry. The supervisor sent messages pointing them out, and Madhu, distracted, would promise to fix them and then forget.

The third thing to go was her honesty. She began to lie to the company. She claimed fevers. She claimed migraines. She claimed family functions, internet failures, a relative in the hospital. She lied the way she lied to her family—smoothly, easily, without a flicker.

And the work piled up. She would spend her mornings frantically trying to catch up, and then her afternoons with Gautham, and then her evenings pretending to work while her mind was elsewhere. She began to work late at night, after everyone was asleep, hunched over the laptop, trying to clear the backlog. She began to look tired, and she blamed it on the housework.

And whenever a warning came from the supervisor, she did not fix it immediately. She messaged Gautham instead. She went to him. She let him fuck her. And the work waited.

She did not tell Rajesh. She did not tell Vinay. When they asked how work was going, she smiled and said, "Everything is fine. Just a bit busy."

And they believed her. Because why would they not?

And slowly, small cracks began to appear at home.

She burnt the food once. She had been thinking of Gautham—of what he had said, of what they had done—and she had left the rasam on the stove too long, and it had caught. Rajesh noticed, but he laughed.

"You are distracted," he said.

"Just tired," she said.

She forgot things. Rajesh asked her to pick up a parcel from the shop, and she forgot. He asked her to call the electrician, and she forgot. He mentioned it, gently, and she apologised, and he said it was fine.

She began taking longer afternoon rests. She would lie down at two and not get up until four, and she would tell them she was resting, but she was actually on the secret phone, or thinking of Gautham, or recovering from him.

And they noticed—Rajesh and Vinay both—but they blamed it on work. On stress. On tiredness. They did not become suspicious. They did not connect the dots.

And that, Madhu realised, was the strangest thing of all. She was living two lives, and no one knew. She was a whore and a wife, and no one could tell the difference. She was becoming someone new, and no one had noticed.

And then Gautham demanded an overnight.

It was a Friday, and he had been talking about it for a week—how he wanted her for a whole night, not just an afternoon. How he wanted to wake up beside her. How he wanted to fuck her in the morning, before she had to leave.

Madhu had agreed, but she had been nervous. An overnight meant a night away from home. A night away from Rajesh. A night she would have to explain.

In the end, she chose the simplest lie: a friend. An old college friend, she said, in Anna Nagar, who was sick, who needed help. She would stay the night and come back in the morning.

"A college friend?" Rajesh said. "Which one?"

"Lakshmi," she said—not the neighbour, another Lakshmi, a friend from her college days. "You remember her. She lives in Anna Nagar. She has been unwell."

Rajesh did not remember, but he did not say so. He nodded. "Of course. Go. Help her."

Vinay, though, was less certain. He looked at her—that long, searching look—and said, "Will you be back in the morning?"

"By ten," she said. "Do not worry."

He nodded, but she saw the doubt in his eyes.

She went to Anna Nagar on Friday evening—actually went, so that the lie would have truth in it—and spent an hour with her friend, drinking tea and catching up. Then she took an auto to T. Nagar, and she spent the night with Gautham.

It was a good night. He made love to her slowly, twice, and then they slept, and then he woke her in the morning with his mouth between her legs, and she came before she was fully awake. Then he fucked her from behind, slow and deep, and she watched the sunrise through his window, and she thought: this is what it is to be alive.

She left at nine and was home by ten. Rajesh was reading the paper. Vinay was watching her.

"How is your friend?" he asked.

"Better," she said. "She just needed company."

He nodded. And then, later that day, he did something she had not expected. He called the friend.

Madhu did not know about it until the evening. Vinay came to her and said, "Amma, I called your friend Lakshmi. To check if she was alright."

Madhu's heart stopped. "You did?"

"Yes. She said you came and spent the evening. She said you were very kind." He paused. "She said you left at seven, though. She said you had another friend to visit."

Madhu's mind raced. She had left at seven. She had said she was going to another friend. It had been a vague lie, a placeholder. But now, Vinay was asking.

"Oh," she said, forcing a laugh. "Yes. Another friend. From the old neighbourhood.  I went to see her too."

Vinay looked at her. And then he nodded. "Okay," he said. "That makes sense."

And he dropped it.

But Madhu knew she had been lucky again. She had been careless—she had left the friend's house at seven and gone straight to Gautham, and she had not prepared the friend for a follow-up. If Vinay had asked more questions, if the friend had said something different, she would have been caught.

She would have to be more careful.

But Vinay, over the next few days, dropped the matter. His doubt faded. He saw his mother behaving perfectly—cooking, cleaning, smiling, asking about his studies—and he concluded that she was fine. That she had changed. That she was, finally, the mother he had always known.

And his remaining suspicion disappeared.

And through all of it, Vinay had his own life.

Ananya had become a constant—a study partner, a friend, and, slowly, something more. They met every day at the library. They studied together, walked together, talked together. They had kissed again, more than once. They held hands. They were, in the slow and careful way of young people, falling for each other.

Vinay had told her about his family—some of it. He had told her that his mother had been distant, that things had been difficult, that there had been tension at home. He had not told her everything—not about Gautham, not about the affair—but he had told her enough.

And Ananya had listened, and held his hand, and told him that it would be alright.

"You are a good son," she said. "You are a good person. Whatever happens, you will be fine."

And Vinay had believed her. Because she was clean, and simple, and honest, and she made him feel like the world was not as complicated as it seemed.

She was the opposite of his mother. She was the opposite of everything that had happened in his home. And in her, he found something like peace.

He began to spend more time with her. He began to stay out later. He began to think about the future—about the MBA, about a job, about a life of his own. He began to pull away from the house, from the tension, from the constant low hum of his mother's secret.

He did not know the secret. But he could feel it, somewhere underneath, and he was glad to have something else to hold on to.

And so the weeks passed, and the double life became ordinary, and Madhu became, in her own way, a master of it.

She had her rules. She had her system. She had her secret phone and her hidden clothes and her perfect alibi. She had her husband and her son, who believed her, and her lover, who wanted her, and her two neighbours, who understood her. She had her whiskey and her cigarettes and her little tablets. She had her secret and her sin.

And on the surface, she was the perfect wife and mother. She cooked and cleaned and prayed. She served Rajesh his meals and asked about his work. She asked Vinay about his studies and his friend. She smiled and nodded and did everything she was supposed to do.

And no one knew. No one suspected. No one could tell.

And then, one Friday night, she came home after a long session—her body aching, her pussy sore, her ass still tender, her skin smelling of smoke and sex. She took a long bath, scrubbing herself clean, and then she stood before the mirror and looked at herself.

The woman in the mirror was forty-two years old. She was a wife, a mother, a data entry operator. She had been married for twenty-two years. She had a son in college.

But she was also something else now. She was a whore. She was a woman who fucked a twenty-one-year-old in every hole, who drank whiskey and smoked cigarettes, who took drugs and sent nude photos and wore red dresses and heels. She was a woman with a secret phone and a secret life and a secret self.

She looked at herself for a long time. And she realised, with a strange, calm clarity, how deep she had gone. How far from the woman she had been. How much of herself she had given away.

And she did not know whether she was more powerful or more trapped. She only knew that she could not go back.

Later that night, after Rajesh and Vinay were asleep, she lay in bed with the secret phone under her pillow. She had been too tired to check it earlier—the session had been long, and she had come home wrecked—but now, in the quiet, she pulled it out.

There was a message from Gautham.

A new video. And a caption.

You are going deeper. Do not stop now.

She opened the video. It was from that afternoon—her, on his bed, her face in the pillow, her ass in the air, his cock buried in her. She watched herself, watched the way her body moved, watched the way she took him. She watched her own face, the face of a woman being fucked, the face of a woman who had given herself away.

She watched it twice. And then she locked the phone, hid it carefully under the pillow, and lay back beside her sleeping husband.

On the surface, she was the perfect wife and mother. Rajesh and Vinay believed in her again. They trusted her. They thought she had changed.

Inside, she knew the truth. She was being consumed. Slowly, deeply, completely. And she did not want it to stop.

She closed her eyes. And she slept.

Thanks so much for your patience and continued support, guys! Some of these developments were added later in response to readers’ requests, so I included them as a little fan service. I really appreciate all your support and understanding.

If anyone has more ideas, suggestions, or feedback, please feel free to share them in the replies. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

My plan is to wrap up the story within the next 2–3 chapters, so we’re getting closer to the ending. Thanks again for staying with me until the end! ❤️

Quote:Superb update! Fantastic.
I feel in the next update you could show her rebellious side.
For instance, next time Vinay doubts her, instead of answering, she can rebel by saying:
  1. "I'm your mother. Don't dare question me or order me around."
  2. She can also call him out, saying all this happened because he made a bet with his mom.
Once a woman loses her chastity, her immediate reaction is to revolt and rebel, not to give answers.

I want to see Mrs. Madhu's only son, Binay, as the central character. Binay will control everything.

I request the author to give prominence to Mrs. Madhu's son, Binay.

Gautam is soon to marry a bride chosen by his parents. Mrs. Madhu is currently 42 years old and is approaching menopause, which is expected within four or five years. An educated middle-aged woman currently working as a data entry operator, she is unable to perform her duties effectively due to her illicit affair with Gautam. Mrs. Madhu loves her only son, Binay—currently an MBA student—above all else. Having promised Binay that she would sever ties with Gautam, she is expected to maintain a good relationship with her son and answer his suspicious inquiries with tact; however, she continues to lead a double life, constantly lying. She plays different roles: acting like a prostitute with her son's friend Gautam, appearing as an affectionate and ideal mother to Binay, and posing as an ideal wife to her husband, Rajesh.

I disagree... Reasons are as follows

1. Firstly gautham made her feel her son used her for bet... Gave wrong impression.. Hurt her ego

2. Menopause has nothing to do with sexual feelings... As a woman i can assure u that...

3. Gautham used padma and  other woman in threesome with madhu... But even there he gave her importance... Woman like madhu enjoy considering special... And gautham had used  her through psychological approach...

4. In the end he used drugs which does remaining manipulation...

So i feel  what author have written is correct..

We all know that its a fiction but in natural course of action, such stories doesn't end well. In reality , lives get destroyed when the bubble bursts. Madhu should be made to pay back when its time.

I would say this story is superb..
But only 2  thing strikes me badly..

1.. Why nadhu didnt get pregnant till nw? May be author may have plan to use that plot in later part of the story. But my question is what precaution she is taking to avoid pregnancy? Or did she do birth control operation?

2. How gautham does for survival? Vinay is 20 years... Vinay friend gautham... Then he will also be of same age or lets say 2-3 years elder... How come his parents searching a girl for him? What is his job... Profession??

Anyway since this is just a story, we can skip this logic deliberately

I did not disagree with the author "Lousy1995." Author "Umavictor32" wrote [Quote: Superb update! Fantastic. I feel in the next update you could show her rebellious side. Regarding point #1, you wrote that Mrs. Madhu's son, Vinay, made a bet with Gautam, and Gautam revealing this to Mrs. Madhu wounded her ego. My response is: Gautam did not present any audio or video evidence; it was merely hearsay. Mrs. Madhu is Vinay's mother; she should have trusted Vinay's word, as Gautam had severely manipulated and embarrassed him. Regarding point #2, you wrote that there is no connection between sexual feelings and menopause; my response is: [Menopause (or permanent cessation of menstruation) is a normal reproductive aging process in women's lives, which usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 50. At this time, the decrease in estrogen and progesterone hormones in the body can lead to various issues, including mental problems.

Physical problems:

1. Hot flashes: Sudden intense heat on the surface of the body and facial flushing.
2. Night sweats: Excessive sweating during sleep, leading to sleep disruption.
3. Irregular menstruation: Menstruation may be heavier, lighter, or irregular during the early stages of menopause (perimenopause). Menopause is confirmed if menstruation ceases for 12 consecutive months.
4. Vaginal dryness: Reduced vaginal moisture and pain or discomfort during intercourse.
5. Sleep problems (Insomnia): Not sleeping properly at night or not waking up again
 6. Bone loss (Osteoporosis): Decreased estrogen hormone weakens bones and increases the risk of bone fractures.
 7. Other symptoms: Weight gain, hair loss, joint pain, fatigue and frequent urination.

 Mental problems

 1. Mood swings (Mood Swings): Sudden irritability or excessive impulsivity due to hormonal changes.
 2. Anxiety and depression (Anxiety and Depression): Being anxious, upset or depressed for no reason.
 3. Memory loss and difficulty with attention (Brain Fog): Forgetting something easily and having trouble working attentively.
 4. Decreased confidence: Loss of self-confidence or interest due to physical changes and stress.]
In point number 3, you wrote that Gautam prioritized Mrs. Madhu in a threesome. My reply is: it was actually a foursome involving Gautam, Mrs. Madhu, Mrs. Padma, and Mrs. Lakshmi. In point number 4, you wrote that Gautam is now manipulating Mrs. Madhu using medication. My reply is: using such medication without a doctor's prescription will soon cause the middle-aged Mrs. Madhu to fall ill and lose her job as a data entry operator. I thank the esteemed author "Umavictor32" for the comment.
