Readers naturally side with the sheep in a wolf-and-sheep chase because they see unequal power. The sheep seems vulnerable and cornered; the wolf seems stronger and predatory. It is instinctive to support the person who appears unable to fight back.

But sympathy is also shaped by POV. We get more of Malli’s and Gowtham’s feelings, struggles, and justifications, while Rajeev’s inner world gets less space. So readers can understand them more easily, while Rajeev is often reduced to his insecurity, anger, lies, and worst choices.
Rajeev is not innocent. But Gowtham does not become noble simply because Rajeev has flaws. Helping Malli become independent is not entirely selfless if it is also meant to create access to her, exploit the cracks in her marriage, or satisfy his own desires. Malli has marriage but it does not erase responsibility when trust is broken through secrecy and deception.

My concern is not the dark themes. Betrayal, manipulation, humiliation, insecurity, and broken relationships can make compelling fiction. The question is whether the story treats those acts as harm, or quietly rewards them by presenting them as romance, liberation, or empowerment.

The irony is that people support the sheep during the chase but enjoy mutton afterward. Readers may condemn cheating, manipulation, cuckoldry, or coercion in real life, yet enjoy the tension and erotic thrill when it happens in fiction.

That is why consequences matter. Rajeev should face the consequences of his lies; Gowtham should face the consequences of manipulation; and Malli should face the consequences of hiding intimacy and betraying trust. Otherwise, Rajeev’s pain becomes only a plot device while others’ wrongdoing is excused because it creates drama.

After all, these characters exist within a plot designed by the writer. You are the owner of that plot. You decide whose pain is explored, whose actions are justified, whose mistakes carry consequences, and what the story finally calls love.

We can enjoy the thrill and darker elements of the story, but if it wants to make a moral point, it cannot punish only Rajeev. Cheating, manipulation, and intrusion into a marriage must also have a cost. Otherwise, readers are not really rooting for the sheep—they are enjoying the chase while waiting for the mutton to be served.

Not justification. Its my layering. I always believe even in real life no one is hero or villain, how you behave names you. What you choose names you. 

Here situations keep people getting a good and bad name. 

For instance, with current situation. Gowtham is both villain and hero .Villan morally, Hero in sub story as he is fucking malli. Rajeev is actual hero he is trying to stop things that is againts moral. Malli is neither a hero nor a villain, her mind is corrupted, she succumbed to gowtham, even though she know things are not what  it looks like that little realisation move her towards villain. She doesnt want to show herself bad towards Rajeev, as she doesnt want or have a heart to hear semarings from rajeev her most loved person. So she is covering her wrong doing by going to push the blame on Rajeev.

Gowtham himself has no clarity on what he is doing interms of Rajvee and malli. He wants malli, but he is not ready to throw Rajeev out yet. For him he himself a morally high person.. but his morallity crashes down the moment his lust for malli increased. the bits and pieces of existing morals in him is just stopping him from planning to that extent.
