Chapter 145: Carry me to bed

# Scene 1

The Genesis stopped. Engine idling. The driver’s face in the rearview, waiting for instruction.

Selvam paid with the cash Summer had handed him at the door. The driver nodded. The door unlocked.

Night air. Cool. Seoul at two in the morning smelled of exhaust and something green from the trees lining the narrow lane. The Han River lay below the hill like a dark ribbon, city lights breaking across its surface in slow, reflective pulses. UN Village held its silence. Wealthy hills. Private lives behind high walls.

The building was unmarked. No name on the exterior. No logo. Just a low concrete structure with recessed lighting and a single glass door. The kind of place designed to be invisible from the street.

Selvam crossed the small courtyard. His shoes on stone. The door opened to a lobby the size of a hotel room. Warm light. Polished floor. A single security desk occupied by a man in a dark jacket, reading something on a tablet.

The man looked up. Said nothing.

“Jennie Kim,” Selvam said. “I’m expected.”

The security man’s eyes moved across Selvam’s face once. He picked up a clipboard. Scanned a list. Found a name. Nodded once.

“Sixth floor.”

The elevator was glass on three sides. Selvam watched himself as the doors closed. Dark suit. White shirt, open at the collar. The silver at his temples caught the interior lighting. His reflection held steady against the ascent, Seoul dropping away beneath him, the river growing smaller, the lights of the city rearranging themselves into patterns he could not read.

His right palm was warm. The ink had smudged further. Hannam-dong. The street name. The numbers. Jennie’s handwriting, small and precise, now blurred by sweat and the pressure of his fingers. He closed his hand. Opened it. Looked at the address one last time before the doors opened.

The hallway was wide. Low light. One door at the end.

Selvam walked. His footsteps made no sound on the carpet. The white shirt felt clean against his skin. The shower at the Grand Hyatt had been quick. Summer’s towel. Summer’s practicality. The particular efficiency of a woman who had already ordered room service and turned on the television by the time the elevator doors closed behind him.

He reached the door. Stopped.

His hand raised to knock. The pause stretched. Three seconds. Four. The particular weight of a decision that was no longer theoretical.

He knocked. Once. Firm.

Movement inside. Soft. Then the deadbolt turning. The door opened.

Jennie stood in the frame. Loose grey knit sweater that fell past her hips. Wide-leg trousers in a soft fabric that whispered when she moved. Her hair was down, dark and straight, falling around her shoulders with none of the structured intention it carried on stage. No makeup that he could see. Her face was clean. Her eyes were the same... dark, steady, the particular focus that had held his across a red-lit stage six hours earlier.

She looked at his palm first. Her eyes found the smudged ink. She studied it. The address. Her handwriting. Confirming it was still there. That he had come with the evidence of her invitation intact.

Then she looked at his face.

“I almost did not come,” Selvam said.

Her mouth curved. Not the performance smile. Something smaller. Private.

“I know,” she said.

She stepped back. The door opened wider.

The apartment was not what he had expected.

No stylist’s showroom. No curated brand presence. No evidence of the woman who existed in music videos and global campaigns. Just a wide, low-lit space with floor-to-ceiling glass facing the river. The city sprawled beyond the glass, a field of light and shadow, the Han cutting through the center like a seam of darkness.

A cream linen sofa sat against the far wall. Low. Unpretentious. The kind of furniture chosen for comfort rather than photography. A small upright piano occupied the corner nearest the windows, sheet music still open on the stand, the pages catching the faint breeze from the climate control.

The kitchen was visible through an open doorway. Small. Clean. A teapot sat on the stove, steam rising from its spout in a thin, constant thread. The smell reached him... something herbal, faintly sweet, the particular warmth of tea made recently and left waiting.

Jennie moved past him. Her body carried none of the choreographed precision it had on stage. Just the natural grace of someone walking through their own home at two in the morning, comfortable in loose clothes, comfortable in silence.

She crossed to the kitchen. Picked up two mugs from a shelf. Poured. The steam rose between them.

“Mint,” she said. “From the garden downstairs. The building has a shared plot.”

Selvam stood in the center of the room. His suit jacket felt suddenly formal against the apartment’s ease. He took it off. Folded it over one arm.

Jennie carried the mugs to the low table beside the sofa. Set them down. The tea was pale green. Fragrant.

“Summer texted me,” she said. “Ten minutes ago. ‘He’s on his way. Don’t worry.’”

Selvam’s eyebrows lifted.

“She has my number,” Jennie said. “From the launch. I gave it to her when we were talking about the autonomy stack. She’s very... efficient.”

“She is.”

“The text included a winking emoji.”

Selvam smiled. The left corner of his mouth lifting. “That sounds like Summer.”

Jennie sat on the sofa. Not at one end. The center. Her body angled toward the empty space beside her. An invitation without words.

Selvam set his jacket on the arm of the sofa. Sat. The cushion gave beneath his weight. The tea steamed between them on the low table. The city lights moved beyond the glass.

The door was closed. The security desk was six floors down. Summer was at the Grand Hyatt with room service and a television remote. Vanitha was in Los Gatos, twelve time zones away.

He was here. In Hannam-dong. With Jennie Kim’s handwriting on his palm and her mint tea going cold on the table between them.

She looked at him. Really looked. The same focused attention she had given him across the dinner table, across the red-lit stage, across every room they had shared since Texas.

“Your shirt is still damp at the collar,” she said.

“I showered before I came.”

She reached for her tea. The mug was warm between her hands. She didn’t drink. Just held it. Feeling the heat.

Selvam did the same. The mint filled his lungs. Sweet. Clean.

This was quieter. Slower. The particular weight of a beginning that had no script attached to it.

Jennie set her mug down. Untouched.

“Tell me why you almost didn’t come,” she said.

# Scene 2

Selvam held the mug between his hands. The tea had cooled enough to drink, but he hadn’t taken a sip.

“I don’t know how to be in a room with someone like you,” he said. “Not as a fan. Not as a man who’s watched your videos. As a person who showed up because you wrote an address on his hand.”

Jennie’s fingers rested on her own mug. She hadn’t drunk either.

“What does ‘someone like me’ mean?”

“Someone the world treats as a product. Someone who walks into rooms where every person wants something extractable from her visibility.” He paused. “Summer’s phrase. But she’s right.”

Jennie was quiet. Her eyes stayed on his face. The particular attention that made the room feel smaller than it was.

“That’s why you almost didn’t come,” she said. Not a question.

“Yes.”

She nodded once. Set her mug down on the low table. The tea was pale green and perfectly still.

“I’ve been a product since I was fifteen,” she said. Her voice was flat. Matter-of-fact. The particular register of someone stating a fact they have carried for so long it no longer requires emotion to deliver. “Not sixteen. Fifteen. The company signed me, trained me, packaged me, and put me in rooms where men twice my age discussed my market value while I sat in the corner drinking juice because I wasn’t old enough for the champagne.”

Selvam listened. He didn’t fill the pause. Didn’t perform sympathy. Didn’t offer the particular noises people make when they want you to know they’re feeling something about your pain. He just sat. His hands around the mug. His eyes on her face. Present.

Jennie noticed. He could see it register... the absence of performance. Her mouth moved. Almost a smile. Not quite.

“The exhaustion is specific,” she continued. “It lives in your jaw. In the muscles behind your eyes. In the particular way your body learns to smile on command while the rest of you goes somewhere else to wait it out.” She touched her own cheekbone. Light. Brief. “I have muscles that only exist for smiling when I don’t mean it. The doctors can probably see them on scans.”

The city lights moved beyond the glass. The Han River held its dark ribbon below the hill. The piano in the corner kept its sheet music open, pages untouched.

“You don’t do that,” she said. “The performance sympathy. Most men do. They hear something difficult and their faces rearrange into this... careful arrangement. Like they’re holding something fragile. It’s not real. It’s just another extraction. They want credit for caring.”

Selvam set his mug down. The tea was cold now. He hadn’t taken a single sip.

“I’ve never been good at performances,” he said. “It requires energy I’d rather spend elsewhere.”

“That’s why I’m talking to you at two in the morning in my apartment wearing clothes I sleep in.” She pulled the grey knit sleeve over her wrist. A small, unconscious gesture. “The Jennie Kim who exists on screens is downstairs in a garment bag. She doesn’t come up here.”

Silence settled between them. Warm. Unhurried. The particular comfort of two people who had decided the pauses were allowed to exist.

“Tell me about Chennai,” she said.

Selvam’s hands rested on his thighs. The white shirt was dry now. The shower at the Grand Hyatt felt like it had happened in another lifetime.

“I started with a set of weights in a public park,” he said. “Five in the morning. Every day. Rain or heat. The same bench, the same routine. People thought I was crazy. Then they joined. Then there were thirty of us. Then fifty.”

“Just like that?”

“Discipline is contagious if you don’t announce it.” His thumb traced the line of his thigh. A small, absent motion. “People watch. They see something that works. They want it for themselves.”

“And Ashok?”

“Raised him alone. His mother died when he was young. I had the gym by then. The routine. He grew up watching me lift before sunrise and come home after dark. He learned that a man builds his body the same way he builds anything... one repetition at a time, without complaining, without stopping.”

Jennie listened the way he had listened. No performance. No careful arrangement of her features. Just the focused attention of someone collecting another person piece by piece, building a composite from fragments offered plainly.

“That’s why the rocket landed,” she said. Quiet. “Or almost landed. One repetition at a time.”

“Yes.”

“And the next one will land.”

“Yes.”

She reached for her tea. Drank. The mug was cold against her lips. She didn’t seem to care.

“The reason I crossed the room a second time at the dinner,” she said, setting the mug down, “wasn’t your success. Wasn’t the rocket program. Wasn’t the Tony Stark comparisons those men kept making while they filmed us on their phones.”

She looked at him directly. Her eyes held his with the same steady focus they had carried across every room since Texas.

“It was that you spoke to me like a person in a room. Not a product. Not a brand. Not an achievement to be collected.” Her voice dropped half a register. “I had forgotten what that felt like.”

Selvam was quiet. The words landed. He felt them settle.

“I hadn’t thought about it as a choice,” he said.

Jennie’s mouth curved. The private smile. The one that lived nowhere near a camera.

“That,” she said, “is exactly why it worked.”

The silence that followed was different from the ones before. Heavier. Charged with something that had been building since Texas, since the private suite, since the moment her silver ring stopped turning on her finger and she looked at him with the particular intensity of a woman who had made a decision without needing to announce it.

Beyond the glass, Seoul held its lights. The Han River moved black and silent below the hill. The piano kept its sheet music open, pages waiting.

Jennie’s hand found his on the sofa cushion. Warm. Her fingers brushed his. Once. Light. Then settled.

“Your tea is cold,” she said.

“So is yours.”

“We should make more.”

“Probably.”

Neither of them moved.

# Scene 3

The conversation shifted. Something in Jennie’s posture loosened. She set her glass on the table and stood.

“I want to show you something,” she said.

Selvam followed.

The hallway opened to a wider space. One wall was covered floor to ceiling with framed photos. Behind glass. Professional. Some in costume. Some in rehearsal clothes. Some on stages he recognized from YouTube.

Jennie walked along the wall. Her bare feet made no sound on the hardwood.

“This was Bangkok.” She pointed to a black and white shot. Four silhouettes against stadium lights. “Sixteen shows in a row. My voice gave out on day twelve.”

Selvam studied the image. The scale was massive. Tens of thousands of bodies. Four women at the center holding it together.

“Coachella.” Another frame. Red lights. Dust. Jennie’s face tilted back, mouth open, the particular expression of someone pouring everything out and knowing it was landing.

He nodded. Said nothing. The photos continued.

Then his eyes caught. Stopped.

White ruffle mini skirt. Crop top. Bare midriff. The photo was large. Center of the wall. Jennie standing in full performance lighting, one hand on her hip, the other holding a microphone. Her legs were bare from mid-thigh down. The crop top ended above her navel. The shot was deliberate. Professional. And it had been taken with the specific understanding that it would be looked at.

He looked.

Jennie noticed. She stepped back. Her mouth curved.

“You like that one.”

It wasn’t a question.

Selvam’s eyes stayed on the photo for one beat longer than necessary.

“It’s a good shot,” he said.

“Just the shot?”

“The lighting is effective.”

“The lighting.” She laughed. Soft. Warm. “The lighting makes my ass look good, you mean.”

He turned to her. Her eyes were bright. Challenging. The particular look of a woman who had spent years being photographed and knew exactly what worked.

“Your ass looks good regardless of the lighting,” he said.

She blinked. Once. Her composure held, but something shifted behind it... surprise, then pleasure, then the particular satisfaction of a woman who had pushed a button and gotten exactly the response she wanted.

“Thank you.” She stepped closer. Her shoulder brushed his arm. “That’s the first honest thing you’ve said all night.”

The distance between them was twelve inches. Her perfume reached him. Floral. Expensive. Applied with the same restraint she brought to everything.

Selvam looked at her. Really looked. The dark eyes. The full lower lip. The particular stillness she carried when she wasn’t performing.

It hit him then. Clean. Undeniable.

“You’re actually her,” he said.

Jennie’s head tilted. “Who?”

“The Jennie. From the videos. The one millions of people watch. The one they write songs about.”

She laughed. The sound filled the hallway. Real. Unrehearsed.

“You’re just realizing this now?”

“It’s sinking in… knowing and…” He gestured at the wall. At her. At the particular reality of standing in her home with her handwriting still faint on his palm. “Feeling it are different things.”

She stepped closer. Eight inches now.

“Selvam.” Her voice dropped. Playful. “Do you have any idea how many people were chanting your name at that fireside chat?”

He didn’t answer.

“More than chant mine at most shows. By a factor.” Her finger tapped his chest once. Light. Deliberate. “You’re a hundred times more famous than I am in the rooms that actually matter.”

“That’s not... ”

“It is.” She cut him off. Her hand stayed against his chest. Warm through the fabric. “And yet here you are. Standing in my hallway at two in the morning. Being shy about a photo.”

His jaw tightened. Once. Then released.

“I’m not being shy.”

“Then what are you being?”

“Cautious.”

She studied his face. Her eyes moved across his features with the particular attention of someone who had spent her career reading rooms and people and the spaces between words.

“Are you looking at me,” she said, “because I’m Jennie from Blackpink? The one you watch on YouTube?”

The question landed. Direct. Unflinching. The particular courage of a woman who had decided that pretense was a currency she wouldn’t spend.

Selvam held her gaze.

“No.”

“Then why?”

“Because you wrote your address on my hand. In a room full of people who wanted something from you. And you gave it to the one person who didn’t ask.”

Something moved behind her eyes. Brief. Private. Gone before it fully formed.

She stepped back. Her hand left his chest.

“Hold that thought,” she said.

She turned. Walked down the hallway. A door opened. Closed.

Selvam stood alone in the hallway. The photos watched him. The white ruffle skirt. The crop top. The particular image that had caught his eye and wouldn’t let go.

He heard a drawer open. Fabric. Movement. The soft sound of someone changing clothes in a hurry.

The door opened.

Jennie stepped into the hallway.

White ruffle mini skirt. Crop top. Bare midriff. The exact outfit from the photo. Every detail matched. The ruffles caught the hallway light. The crop top ended above her navel. Her legs were bare from mid-thigh down.

She walked toward him. Slow. Deliberate. Her hips moved with the particular confidence of someone who had spent a career understanding what her body could do to a room.

She stopped two feet away.

“Better?” she asked.

Selvam didn’t answer. Couldn’t. His mouth had gone dry. His pulse had relocated to his throat.

She smiled. The left corner of her mouth lifted higher than the right.

“I’ll take that as a yes.”

“You know what I built rockets for,” he said. His voice came out lower than he intended. “Precision. Numbers. Things that behave the way the math says they should.”

“And?”

“You are not any of those things right now.”

Her chin lifted a fraction. “Is that a complaint?”

“It’s a report.” He looked at her. All of her. The ruffles. The bare stretch of skin above the waistband. The small, neat navel he had glanced at once in the private suite in Texas and pretended not to. “I have looked at that photograph for ten seconds and I have looked at you for thirty and I cannot make myself stop.”

“Then don’t.”

He reached out. Both hands. Found her waist.

His palms closed around her and his fingers nearly met at her spine. The skin was warm. Bare. The waistband of the skirt sat low under his thumbs. There was almost nothing to her through the middle... muscle and bone and a span he could have measured with his hands alone.

“You’re so thin here,” he said. Quiet. Barely above breath. His thumbs pressed once against the soft place above her hip. “I could... ”

“Could what?”

“Break something.”

“You won’t.”

“How do you know?”

“Because you’ve been careful with me since Texas.” Her hands came up and rested on his forearms. Light. Not pushing. “It’s been very annoying.”

He didn’t laugh. Her waist moved under his hands when she breathed. That was the only thing he could pay attention to.

“Say the measurement,” she said.

“What?”

“You’re a man who likes numbers. Guess.”

“Twenty-three inches.”

“Twenty-four.” Her mouth curved. “Close enough that I’m going to let it count.”

“I’ll take partial credit.”

“You’ll take nothing. That’s not how scoring works.”

His hands stayed where they were. She hadn’t moved back. Two feet had become six inches somewhere in the last thirty seconds and he couldn’t identify the moment it happened.

“Selvam.”

“Yes.”

“You’re still holding my waist.”

“I’m aware.”

“Are you planning to do anything about it?”

The hallway light caught the edge of her jaw. Her hair had fallen forward on one side. Her lower lip was heavier than the upper, and he had known that from the moment she sat down at the ministry dinner and he had spent the entire performance pretending otherwise.

“I’m considering it,” he said.

“Considering.”

“It’s a large decision.”

“It’s a kiss.”

“It’s the first one.” His thumb moved once against her hip. “Those set the trajectory. Everything after follows from the initial burn.”

She made a sound in her throat. Half laugh, half something else. “Did you just describe kissing me as a boost-back burn?”

“I described it accurately.”

“You described it like a man stalling.”

“I’m not stalling.”

“You are.” Her fingers tightened on his forearms. “You’ve had your hands on my waist for a full minute. That’s stalling with contact, which is worse.”

“Worse for who?”

“Me.” Her chin lifted. “Obviously me.”

He looked at her mouth. Then at her eyes. Then at her mouth again, because his attention had stopped taking instructions.

“Then stop me,” he said.

“I’ve been trying not to since Texas.”

He leaned down.

She came up to meet him at the same time and their mouths landed slightly off-center, her upper lip catching his lower, and he adjusted, and she adjusted, and then it was right.

Her mouth was warm. Softer than he’d let himself imagine. She tasted faintly of the mint tea neither of them had drunk. Her hands slid up his forearms to his biceps and gripped there, holding, and he felt her breath break against his cheek on the first turn of her head.

He kept it slow. That was the only discipline he had left. His hands stayed at her waist and he did not move them, and he took her mouth the way he did everything... unhurried, complete, one thing at a time. Her lower lip between his. Then her upper. Then the soft press of her tongue against his and the small sound she made when he answered it.

It went on. The hallway light hummed somewhere above them. Her bare stomach was warm against the backs of his fingers. She rose slightly onto the balls of her feet and the ruffled hem brushed his thigh and he felt every inch of that too.

When they separated, her eyes stayed closed for a beat longer than his.

Then she opened them.

“Okay,” she said. Her voice had gone rough at the edges.

“Okay.”

“I need to say something and it’s going to sound stupid.”

“Say it.”

“I kissed you to check if this was real.” She was still gripping his arms. “I’ve been sitting on that sofa for two hours thinking I fell asleep in the car after the dinner and this is what my brain does when it’s tired.”

He exhaled. Something loosened in his chest.

“That’s exactly why I kissed you.”

Her eyebrows went up. “No.”

“I have had this dream,” he said. “Not this apartment. But close enough that I wanted evidence.”

“So we both... ”

“Yes.”

“That’s humiliating for both of us.”

“It’s efficient. We resolved it in one attempt.”

She laughed. Her forehead dropped against his sternum for a second and he felt the laugh travel through her ribs and into his hands.

“God, you’re annoying,” she said into his shirt.

“I’ve been told.”

She lifted her head. “No. Listen. You are *annoying*. Do you know how annoying you’ve been?”

“Explain the metric.”

“Texas.” She stepped back half an inch, just enough to look at him properly, and his hands stayed on her. “You asked me to come see rocket videos.”

“I did.”

“And then you showed me rocket videos.”

“That was the stated deliverable.”

“Selvam.” She slapped his chest. Flat palm. Not hard. “Fifty-three minutes of telemetry. Plasma. You explained the port engine throttle response *twice*.”

“You asked a follow-up question.”

“I was being polite!” Her voice cracked upward and she pulled it back down immediately, the way people do at two in the morning in buildings with neighbors. “I sat twelve inches away from you with my legs crossed for ninety minutes and you slowed down the footage.”

“You seemed engaged.”

“I was *dying*.”

“What did you think I meant?”

She stared at him.

“Don’t do that.”

“Do what?”

“That.” She slapped his chest again. Harder. “The face. You know what I thought you meant.”

“I’d like to hear you say it.”

“You’re a bastard.”

“Say it.”

“You said, come see my rocket videos.” She jabbed a finger into his sternum on the word rocket. “At a launch party. At midnight. After you spent the whole evening standing next to me at the rail. What was I supposed to think?”

“I don’t know. Tell me.”

Her hand came up again and this time she hit him properly... a flat crack of palm against his chest that he felt through the shirt.

“What were you planning?” she said. “Actually. Tell me the truth.”

He held her waist and looked at her.

“I was planning exactly what you thought.”

Her mouth opened slightly.

“I felt it,” he said. “On the deck. The whole evening. You kept finding reasons to be three meters away instead of eight. When you brushed my arm going through that door I lost about four seconds of the corridor.”

“Then why... ”

“Because you walked in and sat down twelve inches away with your hands folded in your lap and your back straight and I could not read a single thing on your face.” His thumb pressed once at her hip. “You looked untouchable. Like something behind glass. Larger than the room. And I decided I would rather show you fifty-three minutes of telemetry than find out I had misread you and watch that face close.”

She was quiet. Her fingers stayed curled in his shirt.

“So you fucked me with rocket footage,” she said.

“I showed you rocket footage.”

“Same thing. Worse.”

“You asked follow-up questions.”

“Because I was terrified.” She laughed, then stopped laughing. “I was being coy. I was being... God. So conservative. Hands folded. Legs crossed. I took off my outer layer and my top rode up and you looked at my stomach for half a second and then you looked at a tablet for an hour and I sat there thinking, fine, he doesn’t want me, I’ll be polite about it.”

“I wanted you.”

“I know that now.”

“You could have said something.”

“I’m Korean and I’ve been media-trained since I was fifteen, Selvam, I don’t say something.” She shook her head. “I write addresses on hands. That’s already reckless for me.”

He almost smiled. “So what changed?”

She looked up at him.

“You did,” she said. “You didn’t touch me. In an hour and a half alone in a locked room with the lights down, you didn’t touch me once. You said sorry when your knee bumped mine.” Her voice dropped. “Do you know what that does to a woman who has spent ten years assuming every man in the room is calculating something?”

“Tell me.”

“It was the most annoying thing anyone has ever done to me.” She flattened her palm against his chest, over his heart, and left it there. “And I have not stopped thinking about it since.”

He felt his own pulse under her hand and knew she could feel it too.

“So no more telemetry,” she said.

“No.”

“Say it properly.”

“No telemetry.”

She came up onto her toes and kissed him.

There was nothing careful in it this time. Her mouth opened against his immediately and her hand slid up the back of his neck into his hair and gripped, and he felt the small hard edge of her teeth catch his lower lip before her tongue found his. He pulled her in. His hands moved from her waist and spread across the bare skin of her lower back and he lifted... not much, an inch... and she made a sound against his mouth that went straight down through him.

The ruffled hem shifted against his thigh. Her stomach was warm and flat against his shirt. He could feel the whole narrow architecture of her under his hands, ribs and spine and the shallow dip above the waistband, and the awareness that he was holding her hard enough to leave marks arrived and did not slow him down.

She broke off. Her breath came fast against his jaw. Her forehead pressed to his cheek.

“Take me to bed,” she whispered.

He stood very still for one second. The hallway light hummed. The photographs watched from the wall... the stadiums, the dust, the white ruffled skirt she was currently wearing six inches from his hands.

“Say it again,” he said.

“Take me to bed.” She pulled back enough that he could see her eyes. Dark. Steady. No perform ance in her voice at all. “Now.”

He picked her up.

One arm under her thighs, one across her back, and she weighed nothing. Her arms locked around his neck. The ruffled hem fell back across his forearm.

“Which door,” he said.

“End of the hall. Left.”

He walked. She kissed his throat on the way... open mouth, once, just under his jaw... and he felt his grip tighten on her thigh.

“Don’t do that yet,” he said.

“Why.”

“Because I’m carrying you past a piano and I’d like to arrive.”

She laughed against his neck.

The bedroom was dark. One low lamp on a side table. A wide low bed with white sheets pulled loose on one side, as if she’d been lying on it earlier and hadn’t bothered to fix it.

Chapter 146: Too pure to suck cock.

Scene 1

Selvam set Jennie down at the foot of the bed and did not follow her onto it.

They stood in the lamp light. The crop top. The white ruffle skirt. His shirt still open from the hallway. For a second neither of them moved.

Jennie took his right hand.

The ink was still there, faint now, her address smeared across his palm. She looked at it first, as if she needed to be sure it had survived the night. Then she lifted the hem of the crop top and pressed that palm flat to her bare stomach.

Warm skin. The small dip of her navel under the center of his hand.

“You… kept it,” she said.

“I didn’t wash it off.”

She nodded once, shy. Her ears were already a little pink.

“Then… please.”

He went to his knees.

Not fast. Not as a show. He went down because that was the only height that made sense. The ruffle skirt stayed on. The crop top stayed pushed up, bunched under her breasts, leaving her midriff bare in the low light.

Her navel was small. Neat. Set in a flat, narrow stomach. He had seen it a hundred times on screens... stage lights, crop tops, the particular second in a chorus when she lifted her arm and the shirt rode up and the whole world saw the same inch of skin he was looking at now.

He stared at it like it might disappear.

“I have seen this on stage,” he said. His voice was lower than it had been in the hallway. “In the videos. Every time you lift your arm. I never thought I would get to kiss it.”

She looked down at him. Her hand rested in his hair, light, almost undecided.

“You can,” she said. “If you want.”

He kissed the skin an inch to the left of her navel first.

Not the center. Around it. The warm flat of her stomach, then closer, then the soft edge where the rim began. She made a small sound above him. Not a word. Just air leaving.

He did it again on the other side.

Then he traced the rim.

Slow. Cell by cell. The circle of it. The tiny dip. The faint crease at the top. He kissed the upper edge, then the lower, then went around again as if he refused to miss a point. His hands held her waist the whole time, thumbs low on the waistband of the skirt, fingers almost meeting at her spine.

Goosebumps rose under his mouth.

He felt them. Small. Sudden. Standing up across the skin he had just kissed. Her stomach tightened. The navel drew in a fraction when she breathed in.

“Ah… Selvam.”

He did not lift his head.

He kissed the center.

Open mouth. Slow. The rim under his lips. Then again, smaller, like he was trying to learn the exact shape of it by taste. Her fingers tightened in his hair. The ruffle skirt shifted against his chest when her hips moved, not away, just a small adjustment she could not stop.

He went back to the rim.

Around. Then across. Then the little hollow again. He used the edge of his lower lip on the upper curve, then the flat of his tongue on the dip, then a closed kiss right on the center that made her stomach jump. Goosebumps again, sharper this time, running sideways toward his hands.

He stayed there.

One minute. Then another. Left side. Right side. Upper rim. Lower rim. Center. He kissed just under the navel and came back to the hollow as if he had forgotten something and needed to finish it. Her breathing changed. He could hear it above him. He could feel it under his mouth.

After a while her voice came down to him, almost a whisper.

“You are still there.”

“I know.”

“The bed is… behind me.”

He kissed the navel once more. Slower than the others. Then he began to move up.

His mouth left the hollow and found the line of her stomach above it. Then the shallow place under her ribs. Then the underside of the crop top, fabric and skin together. She shivered when he kissed the center of her chest over the buttons. He stood only when he reached her throat. His mouth opened against the clean line of her neck, then her jaw, then her mouth.

The kiss was unhurried. She came up onto her toes to meet it. When they broke he lifted her the short distance onto the bed and came over her.

He undid the lowest button of the crop top first. Kissed the new strip of skin. The next button. Another kiss. He worked upward like that until the last two opened over her breasts.

He parted the fabric.

First time.

Not stage lighting. Lamp light. For him only. Small. High. Pale. Her nipples already tight, darker than the rest of her. She turned her face a little to the side because she could not watch him see her.

“Soft,” she said. “Please.”

He started outside the nipple. The inner curve. The underside. Then the edge. Then the nipple itself, light, wet, slow. Left first. Then right. Then back. He sucked gently, not hard. Her back arched. Her hand went into his hair again.

“Ah… like that.”

That was when she felt him hard against her thigh. She glanced down, then away at once.

“Your… rocket.”

The word came out tiny. Embarrassed.

“Not launching,” he said.

He took the crop top off fully and dropped it beside the bed. Then he slid his hands under the ruffles, found the waistband of her panties, and drew them down her legs. She lifted her hips once. The panties came off over her feet. He kept them in his hand, brought them to his face, and inhaled.

“These are wet.”

She slapped his chest, hiding her face against his shoulder.

“Don’t say that.”

He let the panties fall onto the crop top. He kissed the inside of her left thigh. Then the right. High. Slow. The ruffle skirt he pushed up around her waist and left there.

Then he stopped.

Not because he was uncertain. Because he was looking.

The lamp reached her there too. Jennie from the screens. Jennie from the stadiums. Jennie with her skirt around her waist and her knees a little open and nothing left to hide her from him. Her pussy was neat, flushed, already wet from his mouth on her navel and his mouth on her breasts and from the way she had been holding herself still. The outer lips were smooth and dark-pink where they met. At the top, her clit sat under a small, pretty hood, gathered like a flower just starting to open... soft folds, a tight hidden center, the tiniest peek of the pearl beneath.

He stared.

“I can’t believe I am about to kiss Miss Jennie’s clit,” he said.

The words came out low. Almost careful. Not a joke.

She made a small sound and tried to close her knees. His hands held her thighs open, gentle, not forcing, just keeping her there so he could keep looking.

“Selvam…”

“It looks like a flower,” he said. He was still looking at the hood. At the way it tucked in on itself, delicate, wet, impossibly precise. “This little hood. The way it sits. I have seen you in front of fifty thousand people and I have never seen anything as pretty as this.”

She covered her face with one hand.

He leaned in and kissed the inside of her thigh again, closer this time. Then the soft skin just beside her pussy, not on it yet. Then the other side. He was making himself wait. Ceremonial. The way he had waited at her navel.

When he finally kissed her there, he did not start on the clit.

He kissed the outer lip first. Closed mouth. Almost polite. Then the other. Then the seam where they met. She jerked, a small helpless jump, and her hand left her face and found his hair.

Only then did he kiss the hood.

Soft. Direct. The flower under his mouth. He felt how small it was, how wet, how it yielded when he parted it with his lips and found the clit beneath. He made a sound against her that he did not mean to make.

“Miss Jennie,” he murmured there, against her. “This is your clit. I am kissing it.”

She whispered his name like a protest and a request at the same time.

He licked her after that.

Slow. Around the hood first, tracing it the way he had traced the rim of her navel. Then a flat stroke through the whole length of her pussy. Then back to the clit, the hood pushed up by his tongue so he could kiss the center of the flower directly. He stayed there. Circled. Sucked very gently. Let go. Kissed it again.

She tried to keep still and could not.

It had been so long since her body had done this for anyone. So long since she had come without having to invent it, without having to finish later alone and quietly and tell herself that was enough. The thought arrived in pieces while his mouth worked her. She had forgotten the beginning of it... the deep, ugly, beautiful pull low in her belly. She had forgotten that it could take her like a wave instead of a polite little shiver.

“Selvam... wait... I... ”

He did not wait. He stayed on her clit.

The first tremor was not polite. It slammed through her stomach and lifted her off the bed. Her thighs clamped around his head and then flew open again. A sound tore out of her that she tried to swallow and could not. Her hand left his hair and fisted in the sheet so hard the fabric burned her palm.

Then it broke.

Violent. Whole-body. No choreography left in her. Her back arched until only her shoulders and heels were down. Her pussy pulsed against his mouth in hard, helpless beats. She came so sharply it frightened her, as if something locked for years had been kicked open. Tears sprang into her eyes at once, hot, humiliating, unstoppable. She was crying and coming at the same time and she could not choose which one to stop.

“Selvam... ”

It ripped out of her. Not pretty. Not trained. His name, cried, broken in the middle.

“Selvam... Selvam... I can’t... ”

Another wave hit harder than the first. Her whole body jerked. She sobbed once, a raw sound, and said his name again as if it were the only word she still owned. Her clit throbbed under his tongue. Her stomach seized. Her thighs shook so badly he had to hold them. She kept coming, longer than she understood, tears running into her hair, mouth open, the careful girl gone for those few violent seconds.

When it finally let her go she collapsed as if dropped. She was still crying, smaller now, one arm over her face, her pussy still twitching against nothing. She turned toward the pillow and whispered his name one more time, wrecked and ashamed of how loud she had been, of the tears, of how long it had been since anything had made her do that.

He kissed the hood once more, softer than before, and kissed the inside of her thigh, and looked up.

Her face was wet. Her eyes were darker. She could barely look at him.

“Are you…” She swallowed. The word took a second to arrive. “Are you going to show me?”

A tiny pause.

“Your rocket.”

Scene 2

He did not rush it.

He stood first. Just stood. The lamp put a long shape of him against the wall, shirt already gone, trousers still on. Jennie stayed on the bed in the ruffle skirt and nothing else, knees together, watching him as if the next part required permission she had already given and still could not believe.

His hands went to the belt.

Slow. One hole. The leather sliding free. He watched her face while he did it, not his hands. She watched his hands and then his face and then his hands again. Her throat moved.

He is going to show me, she thought. The real thing. Not the shape against his trousers. Not the videos I am not supposed to imagine. Him.

He opened the button.

Then the zip, tooth by tooth, because pulling it down fast would have made this ordinary. The sound was small in the quiet room. She heard every bit of it.

Selvam felt the weight of himself behind the cloth and almost laughed at how ceremonial he was being with a pair of trousers. Then he looked at her again... the bare shoulders, the skirt, the mouth that had just come apart on his name... and the laugh died.

If I take this out like it is nothing, I am a fool. She is looking at me the way people look at a first time. Let her look.

He pushed the trousers down.

Underwear still on. The shape of his cock was obvious now, thick against the fabric, a dark press she could not pretend to not see. Her lips parted. No sound yet.

It is already big, she thought, and the thought arrived with a shy heat in her face. And that is still covered.

He hooked his thumbs in the waistband and paused.

Not teasing her. Giving her one more second. She did not look away. She could not.

Then he drew the last thing down.

His cock came free heavy and dark and already rock hard, falling slightly forward with its own weight before it stood. The lamp caught the head, the vein, the wet shine at the slit from how long he had been ready. He stepped out of the rest of his clothes and let her see all of him.

Jennie stopped talking.

Her mouth fell open. For a second she only stared, eyes wide, as if her body had understood before her voice could.

That cannot go inside me, she thought first, helpless and almost frightened. That is… that is a person. That is him. I asked to see his rocket and this is what he was hiding.

Selvam stood still and let her look.

There it is, he thought. No more polite shape under cloth. She can leave the room. She can laugh. She can change her mind.

He watched her eyes move over him and felt the opposite of shame. Only a raw, careful pride. Look properly. This is what you asked for.

“…It is big,” she murmured. “Selvam.”

He did not make a speech about it. He waited.

She sat up a little. Her eyes were still on his cock, then on his face, then back again, as if she needed permission for each look.

“Can I…” She stopped, shy. “Can I see it closer?”

He came to the bed as if the floor might make a sound. He did not thrust it toward her. He stood near her knees and let her close the last of the space.

She leaned in.

Slowly. Hands in her lap at first. Her hair fell forward. She looked at him the way she had looked at the address on his palm... careful, wondering, a little afraid to breathe on it. The lamp made a small shine on the head of his cock. She studied that shine for a long second.

“It is even…” She did not finish. Her ears were pink.

Her fingers moved on her own thigh, restless, wanting.

“Selvam.” A whisper. “Can I touch it? Please?”

He nodded once. His voice came out softer than the nod.

“Yes. You can, Jennie.”

Only then did she lift both hands and hold his cock, ceremonial, as if he had placed something precious in her palms. She did not stroke. She turned him in the light. One fingertip traced the thick vein. She studied the head as if she had just discovered it.

“It is… warm. Heavy. The skin is so soft, but underneath it is not.”

His cock twitched in her hands.

She jerked back with a small sound, then covered her mouth and laughed, shy.

“It moved. I didn’t... ”

He cupped her face.

“You’re so adorable.”

“Don’t say that. I am being strange.”

After a moment she took his cock again. She held it upright like her stage microphone and pretended to sing Solo into it in a quiet voice.

Quote:Innocent and delicate. I'm tired of pretending. I'm done, what are you up to? Where are you? Did you eat? Goodnight. Baby, darling, honey, I miss you but it's all useless.

She sang her whole debut song, into his cock mic.

They both laughed. The laugh knocked the head of his cock against her lips.

She went quiet at once.

The head of him was right there. Against that mouth. The same mouth that had sung in stadiums. Soft. Slightly open. A shine on her lower lip from the accidental bump.

Put it in, something in him said, ugly and immediate. She asked. She is right there.

He did not move.

Because the rest of her face undid the thought as fast as it arrived. The wide eyes. The pink ears. The way she looked up at him as if kissing his cock would be a secret she was not sure she was allowed to keep.

Not her. Not like that. Not this mouth.

Jennie felt the heat of him on her lip and could not think in a straight line.

It touched my mouth. I want to again. I want to know the taste. He will think I am dirty. I am not dirty. I just… I want to.

She looked up, coy, almost pleading.

“Can I taste?”

He stroked her cheek with his thumb.

“No. Not that. You’re too pure to suck my cock.”

Something warm moved through her chest.

He thinks I am pure. He is protecting me. That is why.

The wanting did not leave.

“Please.”

“Jennie.”

“Just a little. I want to. Please.”

He did not take her mouth.

He reached down and took his cock out of her hands.

Gently. Both of her hands were still wrapped around him, soft, as if the microphone game had never fully ended. His fingers closed over hers first. He loosened her grip one hand at a time. Her fingers resisted without meaning to, a small unconscious hold.

He is taking it away, she thought, and the disappointment arrived faster than she could hide it. I only just had it. It was warm. It was mine for a minute. If I let go I may not get it back.

She let go anyway.

Her palms felt empty at once. Cool. Stupid. She looked at his cock as it left her hands and had to sit on the urge to reach for it again.

I asked too much. That is why.

He bent down.

Not onto the bed at first. He bent at the waist, one hand beside her hip, the other still around himself so he would not bump her lips again by accident. He came to her height. Close enough that she felt his breath on her cheek before she felt his mouth. He paused there, looking at her.

Then he kissed her.

Slow. On the mouth. The kind of kiss that was an answer and a refusal at the same time. Not there. Here. She made a small sound into it, half protest, half relief, and her empty hands found his shoulders.

He stayed in the kiss until the grabby feeling in her fingers eased. Then he eased her down onto the bed with the kiss still happening, one arm around her back, laying her back into the sheets as if he were setting something down that could break. His cock, free of her hands now, rested heavy against her stomach instead of her mouth.

She hid against his neck when the kiss ended.

He said no. He still wants me. That is enough. I can ask again later.

“Not your mouth,” he said, quiet, against her hair. “I want to be inside you.”

“Then slowly. I am a little… scared. But I want you.”

“I’ll go slow. I won’t hurt you.”

She reached down and put the head of his cock against her.

Even that was not easy.

He was thick enough that the first touch spread her open before he had entered her at all. The blunt head of his cock sat against her wet pussy and her body tried to close around nothing. She was slick from his mouth, from coming, and still the opening looked too small for him. He pressed. Her lips stretched around the tip and then stopped him. The head slipped up, missed, came back. He took himself in one hand and held his cock steady against her hole.

She felt it then... the exact shape of him trying to go where nothing that size had gone.

He pushed.

Her pussy mouth opened around the head, slow, shiny, forced wide. The stretch burned at once. A deep, sharp stretch that made her knees pull inward and her breath catch. The head of his cock sank in perhaps a finger’s width and her body clamped down on it so hard he hissed through his teeth.

“Ah...  wait.”

He stopped at once. Only the head was in her. His arms shook from holding still.

“That’s enough. I should stop.”

She shook her head against his throat. Her eyes were wet. She was still decided.

“No. I am fine. Just… don’t move.”

He waited.

Inside that wait he could feel her heartbeat around the head of his cock.

When he tried again, the rest of the head went in with a thick, wet sound.

Her knees pulled in tighter. A small broken sound left her. She hid her face in his neck.

“It is too big.”

“Jennie. Let me pull out.”

“Don’t. I am fine.” A breath. “A little more. Please. Only a little.”

He gave her another inch.

It went in slower than an inch should go. He watched his own cock feed into her, the shaft vanishing by degrees, her lips dragged inward around him, shiny and strained.

He froze. His arms shook.

She breathed against his throat.

“Wait. Wait.”

He waited until the clamp of her eased by a fraction.

“Okay,” she whispered. “A little more.”

Another inch.

Her fingers dug into his back. Her knees stayed pulled in, trembling against his sides. He felt the inch enter as a long, thick drag. Her pussy made a small wet sound around him.

“Selvam... ”

“I can stop.”

“No. Stay. A little more only.”

It took a long time.

Inch by inch. Each time he pressed only as much as she asked for. Each time he stopped the second her breath caught. He looked down between them because he could not help it: his cock opening her, her pretty hole forced into a shiny circle, the shaft disappearing into her one slow measure at a time.

“A little more.”

He kissed her temple and gave her another inch.

Halfway in she could barely speak. Half his cock was inside her and half was not.

“Still… only a little.”

He held there until the shake in her thighs changed. Then another inch. She whimpered and nodded at the same time.

When he was almost there she whispered,

“Wait. Please wait.”

He held still. Only the last part of him was outside her. His arms trembled.

Then the last inch.

It took more than the others. Her body tried not to give it. He pressed, stopped, pressed again. She made a small hurt noise and pulled him closer anyway. The last of his cock slid into her with a slow, thick glide, all the way, until there was nowhere else to go.

He was fully inside her and did not move.

They stayed like that for a full minute.

No jokes. No rocket. Only breathing. Her knees slowly opened again. Her hand stayed on his back. He could feel her heartbeat around the whole length of his cock. He could feel himself throbbing against her deepest place and made himself do nothing with it. Her pussy kept squeezing him in small shocked pulses, wet and tight, as if she were still taking him even though he was already there.

Then she peeked up at him, shy.

“Your rocket is… all the way in.”

“Don’t say it like that.”

“Why? It is true.”

He started to move.

Very little at first. Not strokes. Shifts. The smallest withdrawal, enough that she could feel the thick shaft drag out against that stretched rim, shiny and clinging, then the smallest return, filling her again to the end. Her pussy made a wet sound around him. A thin slick followed his cock when he drew back and disappeared when he pushed in.

Slow, he told himself. She just took all of it. If you fuck her the way you want to, you will scare her.

The want was already there, ugly and clear. To hold her waist and drive in. To hear that careful voice break. To watch his cock disappear into her faster than this.

He did not.

She hid against his neck, then talked between breaths, soft and a little playful now that the hard part was over.

“You said slowly.”

“I am.”

“It still does not feel small.”

She tightened around him on purpose and watched his face change. A small laugh, surprised at herself.

“See? Your rocket likes me.”

“You’re doing that on purpose.”

“A little.”

He gave her a real stroke then. Not hard. Longer. Out until the ridge of the head tugged at her opening, then back in to the root. Her mouth opened on his shoulder. Her pussy dragged on him, greedy and too tight at the same time.

She can take that, he thought, watching her face. Ask for a little more and see.

He did it again. Same length. A fraction deeper at the end, his hips meeting her, his cock kissing the place inside her that made her gasp.

“Ah... ”

He stopped at the bottom.

“Too much?”

She shook her head quickly, ears pink.

“No. It is… deep. Do it again. Same.”

He did.

Each thrust opened her all over again. He looked down because he could not help it: his thick cock spreading her pretty hole into a wet circle, her lips pulled shiny around him, the shaft coming out slick and disappearing again. Miss Jennie’s pussy. Stretched. Taking him. The ruffle skirt bunched at her waist like it did not belong to this at all.

I could fuck her properly now, he thought, and the thought made his hands tighten on her waist. She is wet enough. She is holding me. One hard push and she would feel the whole thing.

He tested her instead of taking it.

The next stroke came in a little faster. Not violent. Just less careful. The wet sound got louder. Her breasts jumped. Her eyes flew to his.

“Selvam.”

“Tell me.”

She swallowed. Her voice stayed small.

“That was… more.”

“Do you want me to stop that?”

A pause. Honest. Shy.

“No. But not too much more.”

There. That is the line.

He kept the new pace and did not add to it. His body hated him for that. His cock was soaked with her. Every time he pulled back she clung, a slick string between his shaft and her open pussy, and every time he pushed in she took him to the end with a soft broken sound.

When he went deeper she gasped, then smiled against his cheek, still innocent even with him buried in her.

“You think I am too pure… but you put all of it in.”

“That’s different.”

“How?”

“It just is.”

“Liar,” she whispered. “You like this too.”

“I never said I didn’t.”

He showed her how much, just once.

He hooked one hand under her knee and opened her a little wider. The next thrust went in so fully his stomach pressed her. She made a high sound and her nails found his back.

Too far?

Her eyes were wet again. Not from stopping. From fullness.

“Wait... wait... ”

He froze inside her, shaking.

“I can go back.”

She breathed. Once. Twice. Her pussy fluttered around him in tiny panicked squeezes.

“Don’t take it out. Just… don’t do that hard again. Stay in. Move like before.”

“All right.”

He kissed her mouth and gave her the slower stroke again. Relief moved through her body under him. Then, a moment later, a different thing: she lifted her hips to meet him. Small. Almost accidental. Then again, on purpose.

She wants it, he thought, and the conflict sharpened. Not hard. But she wants it. Don’t confuse those.

“Then look at me,” she whispered.

He did.

She got shy the moment he looked, but she still said it.

“Stay there. Your rocket can stay.”

He kept that angle.

Long. Exact. The kind of fucking that was still fucking. Wet. Deep. Steady. Her clit rubbed against him when he came down. Her pussy made a filthy soft sound she would have been ashamed of in any other room. He felt her getting looser by degrees, then tighter when she got close, then looser again.

Harder, his body said.

No, he answered. She told you the limit.

He tested it one last time, smaller than before. A little more weight at the end of a stroke. A low slap of skin. He watched her face like a gauge.

Her mouth fell open.

“Selvam... ah... ”

Not stop. Not wait. His name, surprised.

“Too much?”

She shook her head, hiding against him.

“No. I felt… all of you. Again. Please. That one.”

So he gave her that one, and only that one, over and over. Not the brutal version in his head. The edge of it. Enough that she knew he could ruin her and was choosing not to.

She came a second time with her face against his throat.

It took her harder than she expected. Her body locked around his cock and milked him in helpless pulls, wet and violent in such a small person. She cried his name into his skin and held on as if she might fall through the bed. He kept moving through it, slow, so she would feel every pulse of herself on him.

After she came down she was shaking. She touched his cheek.

“You too. I want to feel your rocket land.”

“Look at me.”

She did.

He finally let a little of the control go. Still not savage. Just complete. His mouth found her shoulder. His hands locked on her waist. He fucked her through his own ending in deep, heavy strokes, each one seating him to the root, and came inside her with his face turned into her neck... pulse after pulse, hot, filling the place he had spent so long opening. He stayed in her after. Did not pull out. She was so full he could feel his cock twitch in the wet heat of it, and a slow leak already trying to escape around him.

She kept him there.

“Stay. Don’t leave yet.”

He didn’t.

I could have fucked her harder, he thought, with her still fluttering around him. She would have let me, maybe. I didn’t. That is the only reason I get to stay.

Later, very small, against his skin:

“It landed.”

He kissed her hair.

“Don’t start.”

She shook her head, almost smiling, wrecked and still shy.

“I am not. I am happy.”

Chapter 147: The Morning He Stopped Being Gentle

# Scene 1

The light hit white at one in the afternoon. Seoul beyond the glass. Half-drawn curtains. Selvam lay on his back, half-asleep, when the mouth came first and then the hair, a warm slide under the blanket.

She did not announce it.

Jennie’s lips closed around his cock with no warning. Sloppy from the start. Wet. Both hands working him under the cloth. Shy hunger from last night, but the fear was gone. Her tongue pressed flat against the underside. She sucked. Hard enough that his hips lifted off the mattress without permission.

He smiled at the ceiling.

The blanket rose and fell. Wet sounds filled the quiet bedroom. Her hair brushed his thighs when she moved. He felt her spit running down his shaft, her hands twisting, her mouth taking more than she could swallow without gagging. She gagged twice. Pulled back. Wiped her chin on the sheet. Went back down.

Selvam let her stay there. Fifteen minutes of this. Wet sounds. Blanket moving. The slow, steady climb of a morning he had not planned.

“Jennie.”

She did not come up. Her mouth stayed on him. Her tongue circled the head.

“You are doing that like you practiced in your head.”

A muffled sound came from under the cloth. Not a word. Something between a laugh and a hum. The vibration traveled through his cock into his spine.

He reached down. Both hands found her upper arms. He pulled her up by the arms, the blanket falling away, her mouth slipping off him with a wet sound that carried.

Her lips were shiny. Her ears were pink. A strand of hair stuck to the corner of her mouth. Her eyes were wide and a little dazed, as if she had forgotten she was supposed to be embarrassed.

He looked at her mouth.

“I said you were too pure to be sucking my cock.”

She wiped her lip with the back of her hand. Shy. But she looked at him properly now. No hiding behind hair or hands.

“Is that why you were fucking me gently last night?” Her English was careful. Braver than before. “You were worried you were going to break me?”

He went still.

The question hung between them. Warm. Charged. The wrecked sheets beneath them held the evidence of what he had done and what he had not done.

He studied her face. The dark eyes. The full lower lip. Looking for the performance. The celebrity smile. The thing she did when cameras were near. He found none of it. Just Jennie at one in the afternoon, her hair a mess, her mouth wet from his cock, asking him to stop holding back.

“I did not break,” she said. A small breath. “You can stop treating me like glass now.”

He kept looking at her. Making sure.

“Say that again.”

“Stop treating me like glass.”

He kissed her once. Not gentle. His mouth closed hard over hers. His hand found the back of her neck and held her there. The kiss lasted three seconds. He broke it.

“All right.” His voice came out lower. “Then don’t hide under the blanket when it gets real.”

Her breath caught. Her eyes widened a fraction. She swallowed.

“Okay.”

He flipped her onto her stomach. One smooth motion. The sheets bunched under her hips. Her ass was bare and small against the white linen. Her hair spilled across the pillow. She looked back at him over her shoulder. Pink ears. Wide eyes. No smile.

“Selvam.”

“Change your mind?”

She shook her head. Her fingers curled into the sheet.

“No. Show me.”

# Scene 2

He pulled her back by the waist. Doggy style. Her knees on the mattress. His cock pressed against her from behind. He entered her in one hard push.

The thrust drove deep. She gasped into the pillow. Her hands fisted the sheet.

“Selvam... ”

“Still want it like this?”

“Yes.” Her voice broke on the word.

He pulled out and slammed back in. Hard. Deep. The wet sound was loud in the quiet apartment. Her pussy took him. Tight. Wet. Stretched. He fucked her at a pace last night had not touched. Each stroke bottomed out. His hips met her ass with a slap that echoed off the walls.

One hand gathered her hair at the nape. He pulled. Not hard enough to hurt. Hard enough to make her arch. The other hand spanned her waist. His fingers pressed into the soft flesh above her hip bones. He could feel her heartbeat through his palm.

She tried to stay composed. Her breathing fell apart on the third stroke.

“It is... ah... too deep.”

“You asked.”

“I know. I know.” A gasp. Her hips pushed back against him. “Keep going.”

He did. Harder. Deeper. His cock stretched her open with every thrust. The wet sound got thicker. Her pussy made a slick, clinging noise each time he pulled back. She was dripping down her inner thighs. Onto the sheet. Onto him.

Her arms started to shake. Ten minutes in. Her elbows buckled. She caught herself on her forearms, face pressed into the pillow, breathing hard.

He gathered her up.

One arm under her chest. One under her thighs. He lifted her off the bed as if she weighed nothing. Her legs wrapped around his waist by reflex. His cock stayed buried in her. She gasped at the shift.

He carried her through the hallway. Naked. His cock still inside her. Her arms around his neck. The piano watched from the corner. The photos on the wall. The white ruffle skirt still crumpled on the bedroom floor where it had been all night.

The kitchen was cool and bright. Morning light through tall windows. He set her on the island. Cold stone under her bare ass. She flinched at the temperature.

He stepped between her thighs. His hands on her hips. He pulled her to the edge of the island and slammed back into her.

She grabbed his shoulders. Her nails dug in. Then her hands flew to the edge of the counter. Gripping. White knuckles.

“Here? Someone will... ”

“No one is coming.”

He fucked her against the island with no ceremony left. Brutal. Exact. Each thrust drove her back against the stone. Her back arched. Her head tipped back. Her voice broke into small Korean sounds. Words he did not know. Moans he understood completely.

“Look at me.”

She did. Eyes wet. Mouth open. Breathing through her teeth.

“This is what you asked for.”

“I asked.” A swallowed moan. Her thighs trembled against his hips. “I still want it.”

He bent his head. His mouth found the side of her throat. He bit. Not hard enough to leave a mark that would show above a collar. Hard enough that she gasped and her arms locked around his neck.

“Say if it is too much.”

She shook her head. Stubborn. Shy even now, with his cock buried in her against a kitchen counter.

“Don’t you dare stop in the kitchen.”

He didn’t. He kept going. Her pussy was so wet it ran down his balls. The island was cold. Her skin was hot. The contrast drove her wild. She came against the stone with a cry that bounced off the cabinets. Her inner walls clamped around him in hard, rhythmic pulses. He fucked her through it. Did not slow down. Did not stop.

When the spasms faded she was shaking. Her hands slipped on the counter. He caught her. Held her hips. Kept her upright.

“More,” she whispered. Her English was gone. Just the word. “More.”

He picked her up again. Her legs wrapped around his waist. His cock stayed in her. He carried her back through the hallway. Her head on his shoulder. Her breath hot against his neck.

The bedroom waited. The wrecked sheets. The white light.

He laid her on her back.

# Scene 3

Missionary. He was still hard. Still deep. Her legs around his waist. Her hair fanned across the pillow. He looked at her breast. Pale. Small. The nipple dark and tight.

He took it into his mouth.

His tongue circled first. Then his teeth. He bit slow. Then harder. The mark came up dark against her pale skin. A bruise. Visible. Deliberate.

She hissed. Her hand found the back of his head. Held him there.

“You left a mark.”

“Good.”

“I have to hide that.”

“Then hide it.”

He flipped her. One smooth motion. Her cheek pressed into the mattress. He gathered both her wrists. Pulled them to the small of her back. Pinned them there with one hand. His grip was firm. Not crushing. Controlled.

His other hand gripped her hip. Hard enough to leave fingerprints.

He fucked her like that. Deep. Rough. Her pussy was swollen and wet. Each thrust drove her face into the pillow. Her breathing came in ragged pulls. She tried to form words. They broke.

“Selvam... I can’t... please... ”

“Please stop, or please more.”

A wrecked pause. Her body shook under his hand.

“More.” A gasp. “Inside. Please.”

He came in her deep. Pulse after pulse. Hot. His mouth against her shoulder. His hand held her wrists through every spasm. Her pussy clenched around him. Wet. Tight. Taking everything.

The roughness left him at once.

He let her wrists go. Turned her. Checked her face. Her wrists. The bite mark on her breast. Dark against pale.

“Breathe.” His hand cupped her cheek. “I have you.”

She nodded. Eyes wet. Then small again. Shy. The performance nowhere in sight.

“I asked for that.”

“You did.”

He cleaned her with a corner of the sheet. Gentle now. His thumb wiped between her legs. He pulled the sheet up over her hips. Kissed the bite mark. Slow. As if apologizing to the skin and not the act.

The shower ran hot. Steam filled the bathroom. He washed her hair. His hands were gentle. Hers shook on the tile wall. He picked her clothes because her hands were not steady. A loose sweater. Wide-leg trousers. Nothing that would press against the mark.

The brunch place was quiet. White tablecloths. Tall windows. Seoul below them. The kind of room where no one said cock. Where the waitstaff moved with practiced invisibility.

She sat carefully. Adjusted herself on the chair. Winced once, tiny, and covered it with a sip of water.

He watched her over the menu.

“Can you sit?”

“Don’t ask me that in a restaurant.” A tiny smile. Almost hidden.

“Order for me.” She set the menu down. “I am still… thinking about the kitchen.”

He almost smiled. The left corner of his mouth lifted.

“Eat first. Then you can think.”

The food came. Small plates. Delicate. She ate slowly. Drank water. The bite mark was hidden under the sweater. Her wrists were fine. No bruises. He had been careful even when he wasn’t.

Under the table her knee found his. Pressed. Light.

“Next time you call me too pure,” she said, low, “I will remind you of this morning.”

“Eat, Jennie.”

“I am.” She took a bite. Chewed. Swallowed. Looked at him across the white cloth. “I am also not glass.”

He reached across the table. His hand covered hers. Warm. Solid. The same hand that had pinned her wrists to her back an hour ago.

“I know,” he said.

She turned her hand under his. Palm to palm. Her fingers threaded through his. She held on.

The city moved beyond the glass. White. Lazy. Afternoon in Hannam-dong. A home that fans speculated about. A man with ink still faint on his palm. A woman who had asked for what she wanted and received it.

She squeezed his hand once.

“Good,” she said.

Chapter 148: The Price of Unspoken Love

# Scene 1

The idli plate sat at the edge of the table. Two eaten. Three untouched. Steam long gone.

Yazhini stared at her phone. Lifted it. Set it down. Lifted it again.

Ranganayaki scbangd the sambar pot at the stove. Steam rose white from the fresh batch.

“You should eat.”

“I’m not hungry.”

The spoon clinked against metal. Ranganayaki glanced at the plate. Said nothing.

Yazhini slid her chair back. The legs scbangd tile.

Her Bharatanatyam ankle bells sat on the shelf above the television. Dust on the brass. Untouched for two weeks. Three.

Ranganayaki came through with fresh jasmine. Her hands worked the flowers into Yazhini’s braid each morning without being asked. The routine continued. The braid was perfect. The bells stayed on the shelf.

Ranganayaki looked at them. Looked at Yazhini on the sofa, knees drawn up, textbook open to a page that hadn’t been turned in forty minutes.

“You have class.”

“I know.”

Ranganayaki placed the flowers at the altar. Lit the lamp. The small flame caught.

Dinner the third week. Krishnamoorthy talked about a retirement at the bank. Someone’s gold watch. Someone’s pension.

“You’ll start interning next summer, na? Good timing with the restructuring.”

Yazhini nodded. “Yes.”

“You didn’t hear me.”

“Sorry.”

Krishnamoorthy looked at her plate. Half a chapati. Vegetables pushed to one side.

“She’s still thinking about California,” he said to Ranganayaki. “The competition. Coming home early.”

Ranganayaki’s eyes stayed on her daughter. “Yes.”

“It’s fine,” Yazhini said. “Just tired.”

“Eat something,” Krishnamoorthy said. “Your mother worked hard.”

She ate two bites. The food tasted like nothing.

The morning came. Early. Kitchen dark except for the stove light.

Ranganayaki stood at the counter. Coffee percolated in the steel davara. The smell filled the small room.

Yazhini entered in her thin nightgown. Hair loose. No braid yet. Dark circles under her eyes. Her shoulders curved inward the way they did when she didn’t want to be seen.

Ranganayaki turned from the stove. Studied her daughter’s face. The hollows under her cheekbones. The way her nightgown hung.

“What is wrong, di?”

Yazhini’s eyes found the floor. “Nothing.”

The word came flat. Empty. A door closing.

Ranganayaki nodded once. Turned back to the stove. Stirred the upma. The spatula scbangd the pan.

Yazhini stood there. Five seconds. Ten. Then she turned and left.

The kitchen held her absence. The coffee bubbled. The upma hissed.

Ranganayaki washed a pot at the sink. Her shoulders shook once. Twice. No sound came out. Just water on metal and the quiet shake of a woman crying without an audience.

Krishnamoorthy came in. Buttoning his shirt. He saw her. Put a hand on her shoulder.

“She will be fine. It’s the competition. Coming home after expecting more.”

Ranganayaki nodded. Dried her eyes with the edge of her pallu.

“Yes,” she said. “The competition.”

She turned the stove off. Poured coffee. The household continued its morning.

In her room, Yazhini lay on her bed. Phone in hand. Selvam’s number on the screen. Her thumb hovered. The screen went dark.

# Scene 2

“Selvam is on!” Krishnamoorthy called from his armchair.

The television glowed blue in the living room. Evening. The ceiling fan turned slow overhead.

Ranganayaki came from the kitchen. Wiped her hands on her pallu. Stood behind the sofa.

Yazhini drifted in from the hallway. Stopped at the edge of the room.

BBC studio. Clean lines. Warm lighting. Selvam sat in a chair across from a woman with short blonde hair. His suit was dark. His hands rested on the armrests. Still.

“The reusable booster program,” the interviewer said. “NASA’s involvement. Walk us through the partnership.”

Selvam leaned forward slightly. His voice came measured. Unhurried.

“We identified a gap in mid-range payload capacity. NASA saw the same gap. The conversation started there.”

He paused before each answer that mattered. Yazhini counted the pauses. One. Two. Three seconds of silence while the room waited.

“The Tony Stark comparisons,” the interviewer said. “How do you respond to those?”

Selvam smiled. The left corner of his mouth lifted.

“I don’t build suits. I build vehicles that come back. Different skill set.”

The studio audience laughed. Warm. Appreciative.

Yazhini’s stomach tightened. The warmth spread through her ribs. Down into her hips. Familiar now. Named.

Her phone was in her hand. She pressed record. The red dot blinked. She hadn’t decided to do it. Her thumb had moved on its own.

Selvam’s hands stayed on the armrests. The silver at his temples caught the studio light. He answered a question about the Vanmmer IPO. Clean sentences. No filler.

Krishnamoorthy shook his head. “Look at him. From that little gym to BBC. I drank coffee with this man on our veranda.”

“Yes,” Ranganayaki said. “He has come far.”

The interview ended. Selvam thanked the host. The camera held on his face for one extra beat. Direct. Steady.

Yazhini’s phone stopped recording.

“I’m tired,” she said. “Goodnight.”

She went down the hall. Her bedroom door closed. The lock clicked.

Dark. Quiet. The neighbor’s television through the wall. A game show. Applause.

She pulled the blanket over her head. The phone’s glow lit her face blue. She pressed play. Volume low.

Selvam’s voice came through the speaker. Soft. His hands on the armrests. The pause before the Tony Stark answer.

Her hand moved to the place between her legs. Rested there. Not performing. Just present. The warmth lived there most nights. She had given up pretending it didn’t.

This is not admiration, she thought. The thought arrived complete. Not gratitude. Not a crush.

Love. Specific. Stubborn. With a man who was her father’s oldest friend.

The airport in California surfaced. Selvam standing at the security line. His hand on her shoulder. Fatherly. Careful.

“You’ll do well. Call if you need anything.”

She had nodded. Couldn’t speak. His hand had squeezed once and let go.

She had replayed that squeeze more times than she could count. The pressure of his fingers. The particular way he looked at her before turning to leave.

The interview ended on her phone. The screen went dark.

She stared at the ceiling through the blanket. The weight settled across her chest. Heavy. Real.

Love. The word sat in the dark with her. No take-backs.

# Scene 3

The lecturer’s voice filled the classroom. Yazhini’s pen moved across the page. The marks meant nothing.

Lines. Curves. Not words. The fan turned overhead. Forty students around her. Packing bags. Zipping notebooks.

She sat there after they left. The classroom empty. The lecturer gone. Her pen still on the paper.

Dinner. Krishnamoorthy asked about her economics paper.

“When is it due?”

“Next week.”

“Have you started?”

“A little.”

Ranganayaki watched her plate. Two bites of rice. Dal pushed to the side.

“You’re not eating,” Ranganayaki said.

“I ate at college.”

Silence. The ceiling fan turned. Krishnamoorthy’s spoon scbangd his plate.

Night. Her room. Phone open to Selvam’s contact. His name on the screen. Her thumb hovered over the call button.

She could not call Vanitha. Vanitha was in California. Vanitha’s own relationship with Selvam was a secret Yazhini carried separately. She had seen it. Could not unsee it. Could not speak it.

She could not call Selvam. What would she say? I love you? I recorded your BBC interview and play it under my blanket? I think about your hands on the armrests and it makes my stomach tight?

The screen went dark.

Days passed. The love accumulated. Day by day. The warmth in her stomach turned heavier. Started pressing against her ribs. Her breathing came shallow in class. In the hallway. At the dinner table.

Longing became something else. Something that lived in her chest and made it hard to fill her lungs.

Tuesday afternoon. The house quiet. Krishnamoorthy at his club. Ranganayaki at the temple for the special puja. Four hours minimum.

Yazhini went to the bathroom cabinet. Opened it. Her hands were steady.

The orange prescription bottle. Her mother’s sleeping pills. Three refills old. The label said take one at bedtime.

She counted fifteen into her palm. The pills were small. White. She did not leave a note.

She lay on her bed. Closed her eyes. The ceiling fan turned above her.

The thought was not dramatic. She wanted the weight to stop for a while. She could not think of another way to make it stop.

She swallowed them dry. One at a time. Then all together with water from the glass on her nightstand. The water was warm. Yesterday’s.

She closed her eyes. Waited for the quiet.

Ranganayaki’s voice came from the hallway. Earlier than expected. The temple puja had ended early. Something about the priest’s schedule.

“Yazhini? Di? I brought prasad.”

No answer.

“Yazhini?”

The bedroom door pushed open.

Ranganayaki stood in the doorway. The plastic bag of prasad in one hand. Her eyes found the empty pill bottle on the nightstand. Found Yazhini on the bed. Still. Too still.

The moment held. One second. Two.

Then Ranganayaki dropped the bag. The ladoos scattered across the floor. She was at the bed. Shaking Yazhini’s shoulders. Calling her name. Her voice broke on the second syllable.

The phone. Ambulance. Krishnamoorthy called from the club. Words Yazhini did not hear.

The hospital was loud. Fluorescent. Gurneys wheels on linoleum. Voices calling numbers. A blood pressure cuff squeezed her arm too tight.

Nothing like the quiet she had wanted.

A doctor asked questions. How many? When? What medication? Ranganayaki answered through tears. Krishnamoorthy arrived. His face gray. He held Yazhini’s hand. His fingers shook.

They pumped her stomach. The tube hurt. She threw up clear fluid and pill fragments into a basin a nurse held. The basin smelled of plastic and bile.

“Lucky,” the doctor said. “Fifteen is a lot, but the formulation is mild. She’ll be tired. We’ll keep her overnight.”

Ranganayaki cried against Krishnamoorthy’s shoulder in the hallway. The sound carried through the thin curtain around Yazhini’s bed.

Yazhini stared at the ceiling. The fluorescent light hummed. Her throat burned. The weight was still there. Nothing had stopped.

# Scene 4

The monitor beeped at steady intervals. Plastic mattress cover crinkled under Yazhini’s back.

Krishnamoorthy sat on the left side of the bed. His hand held hers. Had not let go in two hours. His fingers were warm. Dry. Steady.

This frightened her more than anger would have. Anger she understood. This holding... this silent, constant grip... was unfamiliar territory.

Ranganayaki sat on the right side. Crying. Quietly. Steadily. No performance in it. Just tears running down her face and falling onto the hospital blanket without sound.

Neither of them spoke much.

“The doctor says you can go home tomorrow,” Krishnamoorthy said finally. “Rest. That’s all.”

Yazhini nodded. The IV tugged at the back of her hand.

Day two. Discharge papers. A nurse with a clipboard. Instructions about follow-up. Rest. Fluids. No driving.

The car ride home was silent. Krishnamoorthy drove. Ranganayaki sat in back with Yazhini. Her hand on Yazhini’s knee. Not holding. Just present.

Home. The living room. Afternoon light through the curtains. The ceiling fan turned. The neighbor’s television played through the wall. A soap opera. Dramatic music.

Yazhini sat on the sofa. Her parents across from her. Krishnamoorthy in his armchair. Ranganayaki on the edge of the sofa, back straight.

“I need to tell you something,” Yazhini said.

They waited.

“I’m in love with Selvam.” The words came out clean. No stumble. “I have been since California. Probably before, if I’m honest.”

Silence.

“I didn’t say anything because I knew what it would sound like. And I didn’t want to hurt you.”

The silence stretched. The ceiling fan whirred. The neighbor’s television dialogue faded in and out. Someone crying on screen. The dramatic music swelled.

Ranganayaki’s face changed. Grief first. Then something harder underneath.

“Selvam is Krishnamoorthy’s age.” Her voice came low. Controlled with effort. “He is our family friend. You have known him since you were a child running barefoot in his garden.”

Yazhini said nothing.

“It is not possible.” Ranganayaki’s hands gripped her pallu. “It is not right. Something happened in California. Something you are not telling us.”

“Nothing happened that I didn’t choose.”

Ranganayaki’s voice rose. “What does that mean? What could you choose with a man twice your age? A man who watched you grow up? This is... this is... “

Her voice broke. Cycling between hurt and fury. Words tumbling. Inappropriate. Wrong. Not possible.

Krishnamoorthy sat in his armchair by the window. He had not moved. His eyes were on the street. A rickshaw passed. A neighbor walked a dog.

Ranganayaki’s voice climbed. Tears now. Full. Unstoppable.

“... and after everything, you do this? You take pills? For what? For a man who... ”

Krishnamoorthy raised one hand. Not high. Just enough. Ranganayaki stopped. The room went quiet except for her breathing. Ragged. Wet.

He turned to Yazhini. His face was calm. Empty in a way that meant he had decided something privately.

“Are you certain?” he asked.

Yazhini looked at him. “Yes.”

He nodded once. Said nothing more.

The evening passed in silence. Dinner was dal and rice. No one ate much. Krishnamoorthy read the newspaper in his armchair. The pages turned. Ranganayaki washed dishes. The water ran a long time.

Yazhini went to her room. Closed the door. Not locked. The weight was still there. But named now. Out in the open. Sitting in the living room with the ceiling fan and the neighbor’s television.

She lay on her bed. Stared at the ceiling.

The monitor beep was gone. Just the fan. Just her breath. Just the weight, familiar and terrible, with a name everyone knew now.

# Scene 5

Krishnamoorthy pulled up the BBC interview on his tablet.

Evening. Armchair. The tablet’s glow lit his face blue. Ranganayaki asleep in the next room. Her breathing even through the thin wall.

Selvam on screen. Composed. Unhurried. The Tony Stark deflection. The studio laugh.

Krishnamoorthy watched the Bloomberg profile next. Selvam in a different suit. Different studio. Same measured answers. The Vanmmer IPO numbers scrolled beside him. Large. Impressive.

The Seoul Digital Innovation Summit clip. The crowd chanting. “Selvam! Selvam! Selvam!” Young voices. Technical enthusiasm.

He watched the NASA partnership press conference twice. Selvam standing beside a woman in a NASA polo. Speaking about payload capacity. Recovery systems. The second time, Krishnamoorthy noticed Selvam’s hands. Still. Certain.

This was not the man who drank filter coffee on his veranda. This was someone else. Someone who had built something Krishnamoorthy could not fully comprehend.

The bedroom door opened. Ranganayaki stood in the doorway. Nightgown. Hair loose.

“You’re still awake.”

“Yes.”

She came and sat on the arm of his chair. Looked at the tablet. Selvam’s face filled the screen.

“We need to talk about it,” Krishnamoorthy said.

“I know.”

They talked. Not easy. Words measured. Careful. Krishnamoorthy did not argue that it was conventional. He argued substance.

“Selvam is a man of genuine quality. You know this. I have known him thirty years.”

Ranganayaki’s hands twisted in her lap. “He is twice her age.”

“She is an adult. She knows her own mind.”

“Does she? She took pills, Krishnamoorthy. Fifteen pills.”

“That is the point.” His voice stayed level. “The alternative is another Tuesday afternoon with the bathroom cabinet. I will not risk that. Not for propriety. Not for anything.”

Ranganayaki was quiet. The tablet’s light caught the tears on her cheeks.

“I need time,” she said.

He nodded. Closed the tablet. The room went dark.

Three days later. Yazhini’s bedroom. Afternoon.

Ranganayaki sat on the edge of the bed. Her back straight. Her hands folded in her lap.

“Tell me everything,” she said. “From the beginning.”

Yazhini did. Carefully. California. The competition. Coming home. The feelings. She left out the parts that were not hers to share. What she had seen. What she knew about Vanitha. Those secrets stayed where they belonged.

When she finished, Ranganayaki was quiet. Long enough that the ceiling fan completed seven full rotations.

“I’m not happy about this,” Ranganayaki said finally. Her voice was steady. “I don’t fully understand it. But I don’t want to lose you to a feeling I refused to hear.”

Yazhini nodded. Could not speak.

Ranganayaki reached over. Touched her daughter’s cheek. Once. Brief. Then stood and left the room.

The ISRO email arrived in Selvam’s inbox on a Thursday morning.

Formal letterhead. Indian Space Research Organisation. A request to consult on India’s next-generation reusable launch vehicle program. Cited the Vanmmer Space booster work. The NASA partnership. The technical specifics were detailed. Professional.

Selvam read it twice. Forwarded it to Summer.

Look at the timeline.

He set the phone down. Stared at the wall of his San Francisco office. The brass Tamil figurines on the windowsill caught the morning light.

That evening. Krishnamoorthy sat in his armchair. Phone in hand. Selvam’s number on the screen.

He called.

“Moorthy.” Selvam’s voice came through warm. “Good to hear from you.”

“You too. I saw the BBC interview. Very impressive.”

“Thank you.”

“The NASA partnership. The booster. All of it. You have built something remarkable.”

A pause. Selvam’s voice softened. “I had good teachers. Good friends.”

Another pause. Krishnamoorthy could hear the carefulness in it. Selvam waiting.

“I would like you to come to dinner,” Krishnamoorthy said. “When you are next in Chennai.”

“I will be there for an ISRO meeting. Within the month.”

“Good. Come to the house. Ranganayaki will cook.”

The call ended. Neither of them had named what the dinner was for. Neither needed to.

Yazhini’s room that night. Dark. Quiet.

Her phone lay face-up on the pillow. The BBC interview paused on the frame where Selvam looked directly into the camera. His eyes steady. The silver at his temples.

She did not press play. She already knew every word. Every pause. Every deflection.

She set the phone face-down. Stared at the ceiling.

The weight was still there. But different now. Named. Acknowledged. Sitting in the living room with her parents and the ceiling fan.

For the first time in weeks, her hands were still.

All credit goes to Vanitha who meticulously planned and made her sleep with selvam and set her expectations high. Even if she gets married to another, she will be disappointed with him and marriage will fail. Instead she can marry Selvam and get a lifelong cock pleasure that she is yearning for.

Very good update

I still don't think it is love. She has become slave of selvam cock. It was the cock she tasted first and took her virginity. She lost the competition and cannot focus on studies fingering daily, seeing selvam cock on closing the eyes, unable to control the itch took sleeping pills. If selvam suck her nicely in her house for one week of his stay, this would reduce and she can be back to normal. Vanitha will allow the fuck but not marriage. Will selvam marry Vanitha or Yazhini.

It was Vanitha bitch who corrupted Yazhini mind and spoilt her studies and passion.
