Chapter 130: Take me like Hartmann

She didn’t notice the mountain view until she’d already paced the suite, bare feet padding across the heated stone tiles, the cold air knifing in through the open balcony doors. She didn’t care. The adrenaline that had kept her upright on the path was gone, replaced by something raw and chemical... a fine tremor in her hands and a taste in her mouth like copper. She’d been violated, not in the way she’d always braced for, but in the real way: the shattering of her own private perimeter, the exposed nerve of being watched and touched and made into something for someone else.

Hartmann’s blood was probably still drying on the gravel. She hoped it stained his teeth forever.

The door shut behind her. She didn’t stop pacing. The saree was coming loose again, the pallu trailing down her arm, the gold waist chain tight on her hip. She wanted to rip it all off and throw it off the balcony, but her body wouldn’t obey. Instead she went to the glass, pressed her palm to the cold surface, and watched the treeline for any sign of movement. She could still hear Selvam at the door, but she didn’t look at him.

He didn’t try to talk her down. Didn’t offer water or sit her on the bed or tell her everything would be all right. He just watched, arms folded, like he’d known from the second Hartmann pulled at her saree exactly what would happen next and was only waiting for her to process it.

She turned, not sure what she wanted from him. “You should’ve just let me kill him.”

Selvam shrugged. “I think you did. You just used my hands.” His voice was steady, almost bored, but she could see the flex at his jaw, the way the tendons stood out on his neck. He was still running hot, even if he did his best to flatten it.

She pointed at the bathroom. “Can you help me... ” She couldn’t finish. Couldn’t ask for help, not now, not ever. She braced both hands on the glass and leaned into the cold until her forehead hurt.

He waited. Then, without a word, he crossed the room, caught her at the elbow, and guided her to the marble counter. He retucked the saree, his hands on autopilot, workmanlike, looping the silk over her breast with tight, precise movements. His hands were warm and dry. He didn’t touch her bare skin except where he had to.

She said, “You think I wanted him to look at me.”

“No,” he said. “You wanted him to see he couldn’t have you.”

She barked a laugh, bitter, and looked at the wall. “I’m tired of men thinking they can.” The mirror showed her face, unsmiling, the bruise blooming on her jaw already yellow at the edges.

He caught her eyes in the glass. “Wear what you want, ma. You have the right. If any man cannot handle it, that is their weakness. Not yours.”

She nodded. Didn’t trust herself to answer. She watched his reflection instead as he pulled a fresh towel and handed it to her. She wiped her hand, then her neck, and finally her face, careful around the bruise.

When she turned, Selvam was no longer behind her. He stood by the minibar, pouring two fingers of whiskey into a glass. He brought it to her, then poured another for himself.

She drank it in one go. The burn was perfect. It chased the cold out of her chest.

He watched her, then said, “You want me to leave you alone?”

She shook her head. No.

“Okay.” He set his glass down and leaned both hands on the marble, caging her in. “You want to know what’s funny? I don’t think you’re angry at Hartmann. Not really. You’re angry at yourself. For letting any man think he had a chance.”

She opened her mouth, ready to argue, but the heat in her face said he was right. She didn’t want to be right. She wanted to be clean. She wanted to feel like herself again.

She said, “Fix me,” before she knew the words were coming.

He didn’t move. “How?”

She gripped his shirt and pulled him tight against her, so close the whiskey vapor from his breath filled her nose. “Remind me what it’s supposed to feel like. Do it now.”

Selvam took the command as if she’d spoken an equation. He kissed her, slow and deep, and for a second Vanitha thought she might break apart from the pressure of wanting to be fixed and not knowing if she even could be. His hands went to her jaw, thumbs bracketing the bruise, but when he pressed his mouth to hers there was nothing gentle about it. He kissed her like he was erasing every other touch from the morning.

“You sure?” His voice was a rumble against her lips.

“If you stop now, I’ll bite you.”

He half-smiled, but she could taste the edge in it. “I’d like to see you try, ma.”

He held her pallu the way Hartmann had, but gently, and wound the loose end of silk around his fist, drawing her in until the line of her body pressed flush to his. He didn’t speak. He peeled the saree down to her hips, untucking the pleats with the same rough precision he used on business problems. At her waist he stopped, gold chain caught between his thumb and the bone above her hip. His hands framed her there, bracketing her pelvis so she couldn’t step away. He leaned in and bit the top of her shoulder, then tongued the mark until it burned.

“I want to see you,” he said against her skin. “All of you. All at once.”

He yanked the saree down in a single motion. The petticoat was loose under his hands; he let it drop. The blouse was sleeveless, raw-cut at the back. He worked the tiny hooks one by one, knuckles grazing her skin.

“Rip it.”

He looked at her.

“Rip it like he would have.”

Selvam understood. He gripped the front seam near her left breast and pulled. The first two hooks gave with a snap; the third stuck. He yanked harder, popping it off entirely. The blouse parted. For a split second she thought she’d made a mistake, that this would trigger the same nausea Hartmann had left in her mouth... but Selvam’s hands were on her, arms strong and sure, and he shoved the fabric back over her shoulders. He fisted the torn silk, wadded it into his palm, and tossed it to the tiles.

“Only you can take me by force, mama,” she whispered.

His hands were still holding the ruined blouse. He took the instruction literally. The next tear was louder, silk shearing. Her bra snapped under the pressure; with a single motion he yanked the whole mess over her head. The fine mesh bit at her skin before coming free, leaving her arms up, baring her chest completely to the cold air. Her nipples went hard instantly. She refused to clutch at herself or hide. She wanted to be seen. She wanted his hands back. She let her arms fall to her sides even though the air raised goosebumps thick enough to hurt.

Selvam stood looking at her, chest rising, knuckles still red from the punch on the path. She didn’t cover herself. She didn’t look away.

“I want you to have what Hartmann couldn’t,” she said. The words came out steady, which surprised her, because inside her chest everything was shaking. “And I want you to take it from me the way he would have if you hadn’t come. I want you to, mama.”

His jaw flexed once, twice. His eyes dropped to her throat, then lower, to the gold chain, then lower still.

“You don’t mean that.”

“I mean it.” She stepped closer until her nipples brushed the front of his shirt. “He wanted to rip it off me. He wanted to put his hands on me and take what he wanted because he thought he could. So take it. Take it the way he would have... except it’s you, and I’m asking.”

She heard his breath catch.

“Vanitha... ”

“Don’t say my name like that. Don’t say my name like you’re trying to talk me out of it.”

Selvam’s hands came up to her face, framing her jaw. She felt the calluses on his palms, the slight tremor in his fingers.

“I’m not going to fuck you like Hartmann would have,” he said. His voice was low, almost clinical, but his pupils were blown so wide the iris was only a thin ring of dark blue. “I’m going to fuck you the way you need to be fucked. There’s a difference, ma. And you know it.”

She opened her mouth to argue, but he kissed her hard, tongue pushing past her lips before she could speak. The kiss was nothing like the patient ones in Zurich. This was a claim. His hands slid from her face to her throat, not squeezing, just holding, palm flat against her pulse. She felt the gold band of his wedding ring press into the soft skin under her jaw.

Then she did what she had asked for.

She closed her bare breasts with her arms and ran backward, stumbling in bare feet, heart hammering. Selvam’s eyes tracked her retreat. He understood the game.

“Don’t,” she whispered, voice cracking. “Please don’t.”

He stepped forward, slow and deliberate. “You asked for this, ma.”

She shook her head, backing into the edge of the bed. “I changed my mind.”

“No, you didn’t.” He closed the distance. “You want me to chase you. You want to feel what it’s like when I catch you.”

Her back hit the bedpost. Her arms tightened. “You’re scaring me.”

“I’m not.” His hand shot out, catching her wrist. He pulled her arm away, baring one breast to the cold air. “You’re not scared of me. You’re scared of how much you want this.”

She struggled against his grip, the resistance half-hearted, her body already betraying her. “Let me go.”

She pretended harder, twisting, screaming, “No... let go of me... ”

Selvam’s grip tightened. Not painful, but absolute. He pulled her other arm free and pinned both wrists above her head with one hand, his other arm wrapping around her waist. The gold waist chain dug into his forearm.

“Stop,” she gasped, twisting. “Stop, please... ”

“You said take it,” he murmured against her ear. “You said the way he would have. This is what you asked for.”

She bucked, bare stomach pressing against the front of his shirt, and felt the hard ridge of his cock through the linen. Her nipples scbangd the fabric; she hissed. She was wet. She could feel the slick gathering between her thighs, and the shame of it made her struggle harder.

“Don’t... ” she choked, turning her face away.

He didn’t let her. His mouth closed over her nipple... no preamble, no softness, just wet heat, the scbang of teeth, the suction that pulled a real gasp from her throat. He groaned, the vibration humming straight through her ribs. This was the performance: the way Hartmann would have devoured her without asking. His mouth was rough, almost sloppy, tongue dragging in broad, hungry strokes. He sucked hard, pulling as much of her breast into his mouth as he could, teeth grazing the soft underside, then bit down just hard enough to make her cry out. He didn’t stop. He worked the nipple between his teeth, tugging, releasing, then sealing his lips around it again and sucking until the tissue felt swollen and hypersensitive. When he finally switched to the other breast he left the first one shining, red, marked with the imprint of his teeth.

She whimpered, the sound real even though the fear wasn’t. Her body arched into him despite the act, hips pushing forward, cunt clenching around nothing. He took his time with the second breast, licking wide circles around the areola before fastening on the nipple and pulling hard, rhythmically, like he meant to leave it aching for days. One of his free hands kneaded the first breast while he worked, thumb rough across the wet, abused peak. The cold air of the suite kissed the saliva he left behind, making both nipples burn.

“Stop,” she breathed, but her voice cracked and they both heard the lie.

He kept going, mouth moving from one breast to the other, leaving shiny trails, the occasional sharper bite that made her jolt. Only when both peaks were dark and throbbing did he finally lift his head. A string of saliva still connected his lower lip to her left nipple. He looked at her face... really looked... and she saw the moment the pure performance began to shift. His grip on her wrists softened from punishing to precise. He was no longer pretending to be anyone else. He was giving her exactly what she had asked for, and the distinction was everything.

“Tell me what you want,” he said, voice wrecked. “Use your words, ma.”

“I want you to take me. The way he was going to. But it’s you. It’s always you.”

His thumb traced a slow circle on the inside of her wrist. “And when I do, you’re going to remember whose hands these are.”

She twisted her hips against him, testing. “He was going to shove me down and take whatever he wanted. So do it. Stop treating me like I’m fragile.”

Selvam’s eyes narrowed. “You want me to force you like that monster?”

“No.” She arched, bare breasts against his chest. “I want you to force me the way he wanted to. I want to fight you and lose. I want to feel you overpower me. Make me yours again. Chase me. Pin me. Take me even if I say no.”

He hesitated only a second. “This is what you need right now? After everything?”

“Yes,” she whispered fiercely, then louder, playing the part, “No... let me go, Selvam! I don’t want this!”

She bucked hard. His grip loosened just enough for her to slip free. She shoved against his chest and stumbled backward onto the bed. The linen was cool against her skin. She scrambled, trying to put distance between them, but he was already there, one knee on the mattress, hand closing around her ankle.

“Stop!” The word tore from her throat. “Get away from me!”

He dragged her toward him. She kicked; he caught her other ankle and pinned her legs apart, wide open. The cold air rushed between her thighs. She tried to close them; his hands were iron.

“You said no,” he growled, “but your body is saying something else.”

“I don’t want this,” she whimpered. The words tasted like ash because they were lies and they both knew it.

He leaned over her for a moment, weight pressing her into the mattress, then shifted lower. His mouth trailed down the centre of her stomach, tongue dipping into her navel, teeth scbanging the soft skin just above the gold chain. She twisted, still performing resistance, but when he pushed her thighs even wider and settled between them she felt the first hot breath against her cunt and her whole body locked.

“Don’t... please... ”

He didn’t answer with words. He licked her in one long, slow stroke from entrance to clit, flat and thorough, and the sound she made was nothing like a protest. He groaned against her, the vibration shooting straight up her spine, then sealed his mouth over her and began to eat her properly. There was nothing polite about it. He sucked her clit between his lips, flicked it hard with the tip of his tongue, then dragged the flat of it lower, pushing inside her as deep as he could reach. Her hips jerked. She tried to close her legs around his head; he simply pressed her thighs open wider with his forearms and kept going, messy, hungry, the wet sounds of his mouth on her filling the quiet suite.

She was soaking. She could feel how wet she was, how easily his tongue slid through her folds, how her own slick coated his chin. Shame burned under the sharp, helpless pleasure. She still managed to gasp “No... stop... don’t put your mouth there... ” even as her hips lifted into every stroke, chasing the pressure. He ignored the words and focused on the clit again, circling it, then sucking in steady pulses until her thighs began to shake. One of his hands left her leg long enough to push two fingers inside her, curling them upward while his mouth stayed locked on the swollen peak. The dual sensation tore a broken cry from her throat.

He looked up once, over the plane of her stomach, eyes dark, mouth shining with her. The look alone almost finished her. Then he went back down and fucked her with his tongue and fingers until she was trembling on the edge, the gold chain digging into her waist every time her body arched.

Only when she was right at the brink did he pull away. She made a sound of pure frustration that embarrassed her even through the roleplay. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, then climbed back up her body, knees bracketing her ribs. His cock was free now... thick, flushed, the head already wet. He gripped her jaw with one hand, not gently, and guided the head to her lips.

“Open.”

She shook her head, still playing, eyes wide. “No... don’t... ”

He pressed forward anyway, the blunt head pushing against her closed mouth until she had to part her lips or let him force them. The moment she opened he slid inside, not all the way at first, just the head, heavy and hot on her tongue. The taste of him... clean skin, salt, the faint residual whiskey... flooded her mouth. She tried to turn her face; his hand in her hair held her steady.

“Take it,” he said, voice low and rough. “You asked for everything he wanted. This is part of it.”

He pushed deeper. She gagged once when the head hit the back of her throat, eyes watering, but he didn’t pull out. He stayed there a second, letting her adjust, then began to move in short, controlled thrusts, fucking her mouth while she still made muffled sounds of protest around him. Spit gathered at the corners of her lips and slid down her chin. Her hands, free now, pushed weakly at his thighs even as her tongue began to work against the underside of his cock of its own accord. The earlier threat... I’ll bite you... hovered between them. She could have. She didn’t. Instead she hollowed her cheeks and took him deeper on the next thrust, the submission itself becoming another kind of claim.

He fucked her mouth for long minutes, watching her face the entire time, the way her eyes watered, the way her throat fluttered around him, the way her hips kept shifting restlessly on the sheets as if the emptiness between her legs had become unbearable. When he finally pulled out, a thick string of spit connected her lower lip to the head of his cock. She was breathing hard, lips swollen, chin wet.

“Still me?” he asked, almost gently.

She nodded, voice wrecked. “Still you.”

He didn’t give her time to recover. He shifted down, hooked her knees over his arms, and drove into her in one long, relentless thrust. The stretch was sudden and deep; she cried out, the sound half-pain, half-relief. He didn’t stop. He buried himself to the hilt, the gold chain trapped between their bodies, and began to fuck her with the same controlled force he had used on her mouth... deep, steady, claiming every inch. Each thrust drove the cold further out of her body. The bruise on her jaw pulsed under his mouth when he leaned down to kiss her, tasting himself on her tongue. Her legs locked around him. Her hands fisted in his shirt and then in his hair.

He moved like a man who had been holding himself back for hours. The wet sound of him sliding in and out of her filled the room. She met him, no longer pretending to run, only taking and taking until the tremor that had lived in her hands since the path finally broke apart into something else entirely. When it crested she clung to him, face buried in his neck, whispering his name against the damp skin there like a promise she was making only to herself.

He followed a few strokes later, burying himself deep and holding there, forehead pressed to hers, breath ragged.

Afterward he didn’t pull away. He stayed inside her, one hand stroking the line of the gold chain as if counting the links, the other gently tracing the fresh marks his mouth had left on her breasts. The cold air from the balcony still moved through the room, but it no longer knifed. It simply moved. Outside, the mountain view waited, soft and distant.

Vanitha lay still beneath him, listening to his heart, to the quiet, to the complete absence of the copper taste in her mouth.

His hands. Only his.

She closed her eyes and, for the first time since the path, let herself believe it.

Chapter 131: Fucked under the Switzerland Sky

The note on the pillow said dress warm, no saree, and Vanitha held it in both hands for a full minute before she believed it.

She stood before the open wardrobe, silks shimmering in a row, the gold chain coiled on the vanity like a sleeping snake. At the bottom of her suitcase, folded and creased from the flight, was the cream turtleneck. She pulled it on, then the dark jeans, then the ankle boots. Coat over everything. Chain left behind. Hair down. The woman in the mirror was a stranger.

She came through the hotel doors into the bright cold and found Selvam already at the car, a silver Mercedes E-Class idling at the curb, engine ticking. He was leaning against the driver’s side door with his arms folded, watching the road. When he turned and saw her, the professional mask he usually wore fractured... a flicker of surprise, then something slower, more appreciative, that settled in his eyes.

He looked at her for a long time. Then he said, “You look like someone else entirely.”

“Good or bad?” she said.

“Very good.” He opened the passenger door.

She slid in. The leather was warm from the engine. He closed the door behind her and walked around to the driver’s side, and she watched him through the windshield, the way he checked the mirrors, the way he settled into the seat, the way he adjusted the heat before he pulled away from the curb. He drove with one hand on the wheel, the other resting on the center console, and he did not turn on the radio.

The road south out of Gstaad climbed in lazy switchbacks through pine forest, the asphalt still dark from last night’s rain. The trees thinned, then broke, and the valley opened below them in a sweep of impossible green, the snow peaks ringing it on every side. Vanitha pressed her forehead to the glass, watching the landscape change. She did not talk. She could feel his stillness beside her, a presence that filled the car more completely than conversation ever could. The silence hummed with the weight of the night before, and the unspoken questions of the morning.

She spoke first somewhere above the treeline, looking at the peaks rather than at him.

“I’ve been thinking about what you said on the balcony yesterday. About the difference between a man who sees a woman and a man who only sees what he wants from her.”

Selvam kept his eyes on the road. He did not fill the pause.

“I’ve spent most of my adult life in the second category,” she said. “On Instagram. At pageants. In rooms full of men like Krishnamoorthy and Hartmann. I learned to manage it. To use it. To perform for it.” She turned her head toward him. “You’re the first man who ever made me feel like the performance was optional.”

The road curved. He took it with both hands.

“I don’t know what to do with that,” she said. “Because the performance is also how I built everything. My following. The boutique. The confidence that made Ashok fall in love with me. I don’t know who I am without it.”

Selvam was quiet for a moment. The road straightened and he let the car settle into the lane. Then he said, “You showed me who you were without it the morning you walked into my Chennai kitchen in a cotton nightdress with flour on your hands making dosa. I had already fallen by then. Before any of the rest of it.”

Vanitha turned to look at him. He did not look back.

The road curved again and he took it with both hands, the tendons in his forearms standing out under the rolled sleeves. She watched the side of his face, the grey at his temples, the way his jaw worked once, twice, before settling.

She said, “I think we’re both terrible at knowing what to do with things that are actually true.”

“Probably accurate,” he said.

She leaned her head against his shoulder. The wool of his coat was warm where the sun had been on it. She could smell the pine resin from outside mixing with the clean soap smell of his skin, and underneath that, the faintest trace of last night’s whiskey. She closed her eyes.

The car climbed. The engine hummed lower as the grade steepened. She felt the altitude change in her ears, the pressure building and releasing in tiny pops. The road narrowed to a single lane in each direction, the guardrail close enough to touch if she’d reached out the window. On the other side, nothing. Just air and the long green drop to the valley floor.

Selvam pulled off at a wide gravel shoulder with a low stone wall, the view opening south across a valley so green it hurt. A small glacial lake caught the sky far below, a perfect oval of blue. There was a cafe set back from the road, stone walls and a hand-painted sign, four tables inside visible through a fogged window. A young Swiss couple sat at the window table with coffee, the woman’s head tilted toward the man, both of them watching the view.

Selvam parked and killed the engine. The tick of the cooling metal filled the silence. He got out and she followed, the cold hitting her face like a slap. She crossed her arms against the chill and stood at the stone wall. He came up beside her, close enough that their shoulders touched.

“I need to tell you something I haven’t said clearly,” he said.

She waited.

“I know what I put in motion. The SilverFox77 account. The affair. The way my choices bent Ashok toward Latha and pulled Yazhini out of her parents’ house and gave Tara a reason to open her door.” His voice was steady, the way it always was when he was being most careful. “I’ve been trying to fix it. Or stop adding to it. I haven’t always managed that.”

The wind combed through her hair. She didn’t push it back.

“The one thing I haven’t been able to categorize cleanly,” he said, “the thing I told Summer was different from everything else, is you. Not the Instagram version. Not the woman performing for the room. The woman who argued with me about the teak bed frame and tested mattresses like she owned the showroom and sat beside me at the fire ritual in my new house while a priest chanted blessings over us as husband and wife.” He paused. “I don’t know what to do with that either.”

What happened next was not planned. She turned into him and kissed him at the stone wall with the Alps spread behind her and the cold air on both of them, and it was not the careful, deliberate kiss of two people managing a situation. It was the other kind. Selvam’s hands found her waist through the wool coat and pulled her in and she grabbed the front of his jacket and did not let go. The young couple at the cafe window froze. The woman said something to the man in Swiss German that Vanitha did not understand but did not need to.

Selvam walked her back to the car, his hands at her hips, and pressed her against the warm metal of the hood. The engine was still ticking with residual heat beneath them. He unbuttoned her coat without hurrying, his hands deliberate, and she helped him with the jeans.

“Mama, someone could see us,” Vanitha whispered.

“There’s no one here,” he grunted.

And she’d be right.

The young couple at the cafe window had gone very still. The woman’s coffee cup was suspended halfway to her mouth. The man’s hand had frozen on the table, fingers curled around nothing. They were watching. Of course they were watching. Two people at a stone wall in the Swiss Alps, the woman pressed against a silver Mercedes with her coat half off and her jeans around one ankle, the man’s body blocking the wind from her bare skin... there was no pretending they were doing anything else.

Vanitha didn’t notice. They both had no idea there was a small café.

She turned her face toward the hood, cheek against the warm metal, and felt Selvam’s weight shift behind her. His hands were at her hips, fingers digging into the soft flesh above the waistband of her panties, and he pulled her back onto him in one slow, deliberate motion.

Selvam pulled his cock out and the young woman inside the café let out a small involuntary gasp and her boyfriend covered her hand with his own. They didn’t look away.

“Emilia, we shouldn’t look,” her boyfriend told her in German.

But they both stayed watching, coffee forgotten.

Emilia pressed her palm flat against the glass, the condensation warm under her fingers. Her boyfriend, Lukas, had stopped pretending to drink his coffee three minutes ago. The cup sat untouched, a thin skin forming on the surface. Neither of them spoke. Neither of them needed to.

Lukas’s hand held Emilia’s palms, like a plea to stop her from looking.

“Is he back? He is so big,” asked Emilia. Lukas’s fingers tightened on her thigh. “I don’t think so, they look Indian.”

Emilia’s breath fogged the glass. She didn’t wipe it away. The condensation made the scene outside softer, dreamlike, the man’s broad back a dark shape against the silver of the car, the woman’s bare legs pale and shaking in the cold. The woman’s jeans were bunched at one ankle, the other foot bare against the gravel. Her coat hung open, the cream turtleneck pushed up under her breasts, and the man’s hands were locked on her hips, pulling her back onto him with each thrust.

“They don’t know we’re here,” Emilia whispered, and her voice was barely audible over the ticking of the engine outside. “They think they’re alone.”

Lukas didn’t answer.

Outside, Selvam began to fuck her with a rhythm that was not gentle. Not cruel, either. Just steady, deep, each stroke pulling her hips back onto him so the hood of the car creaked with the force of it. The metal was warm where her cheek pressed against it, the engine still ticking underneath, and the cold air on her bare ass and the backs of her thighs made her gasp and press closer to the heat of his body.

“Indians have cock that big?” Emilia blurted out without thinking.

Lukas squeezed her hands hard enough to leave marks, and she didn’t stop looking.

Vanitha felt Selvam’s cock push into her, the head stretching her open in one slow, relentless slide, and the fullness made her grip the edge of the hood until her knuckles went white. The cold air hit her bare skin everywhere his body wasn’t covering her, and she gasped and arched back into him, pressing her ass against his hips, wanting more of him and less of the cold at the same time. His hands gripped her waist, fingers digging into the soft flesh above her hip bones, and he pulled her back onto him with each thrust.

Selvam pulled out of her slow, the head dragging against her walls, and turned her around to face him. His hands went to the hem of the turtleneck and pushed it up, baring her stomach, the cold air hitting her skin in a rush. She lifted her arms and he pulled the sweater over her head in one motion, tossing it onto the hood beside them. The bra was simple, cream-colored, the kind she’d grabbed from the bottom of the suitcase without thinking. His thumbs hooked under the straps and slid them down her shoulders, but he didn’t take it off. He left it on, the cups still holding her breasts, but the cold had already pulled her nipples tight against the fabric, the dark points visible through the thin material.

Lukas watched the man push the sweater up and saw the woman’s bare stomach for the first time, the smooth fair skin, the shallow dip of her navel, and something in his chest tightened. He told himself to look away. He told himself to turn his head and pick up his coffee and drink it and be a normal person sitting in a normal café on a normal morning. But his neck wouldn’t move.

For the first time, Lukas saw her.

Not the body. Not the shapes the man’s hands were making of her. Her face.

"She's beautiful," said Lukas, without him realizing he just said that out loud.

“Isn't she now,” said Emily to Lukas in German.

“But Lukas, do Indians have cock that big?” Asked Emily. She was genuinely surprised and impressed.

Lukas’s jaw tightened. He could feel the heat in his face, the stupid, childish flush that had nothing to do with the café’s radiator and everything to do with the fact that Emilia had asked him that question while looking at a man whose cock was so thick it made Lukas’s own feel in comparison.

“I don’t... ” Lukas started, and then stopped. His tongue felt thick. He swallowed. “I don’t know, Emilia. I’ve never... I mean, I’ve never seen an Indian man before. Not like that. Not in person. And I didn’t... I didn’t expect it to be that big.”

Selvam bent his head and took her left nipple into his mouth through the fabric of the bra, teeth catching the stiff peak through the cream cotton, and the sound Vanitha made was not a whisper. It was a noise that carried, sharp and bright in the thin alpine air, and it hit the café window like a stone through glass.

Emilia’s mouth fell open. She didn’t close it.

The man outside had the woman’s breast in his mouth like he was starving, his jaw working, the fabric of her bra pulled taut around his lips, and his free hand was already on the other one, palming it through the cup, thumb rolling the nipple in slow, deliberate circles. The woman’s head tipped back, throat exposed, and the man switched sides without breaking rhythm, mouth moving to the right breast, teeth dragging the fabric down so the nipple popped free, dark and swollen against the cold air.

“He’s eating her,” Emilia breathed. “Like actually eating her. Look at his mouth.”

Lukas’s jaw was locked. He could feel the heat of Emilia’s hand in his, the way her pulse was hammering against his palm, and he knew if he looked at her face right now he would see something he wasn’t ready to see. So he kept his eyes on the window and said nothing.

Outside, Selvam pulled the bra down entirely, not bothering with the clasp, just yanking the cups below her breasts so they spilled free, heavy and full, the nipples already dark and stiff from his mouth. He ducked his head and took the left one between his lips again, this time without the fabric, and Vanitha’s hands flew to his hair, fingers knotting in the gray at his temples. He sucked hard, the sound wet and obscene, and his other hand kneaded the right breast, thumb pressing into the soft underside, fingers leaving pale marks in the fair skin.

“He’s not stopping,” Emilia said, and her voice had gone thick, almost slurred. “He’s just... he’s just going back and forth. Like he can’t decide which one.”

Lukas’s throat worked. He swallowed. “We should go.”

“We’re not going anywhere.”

Selvam’s mouth moved from the left nipple to the right, licking a wet stripe across the valley between them before sealing his lips around the second peak. He bit down, not gently, and Vanitha’s hips bucked against the hood of the car, a sound escaping her that was half sob, half laugh. His hand left her breast and went to her hip, pulling her against him, and she could feel the hard length of him still pressed against her thigh, still waiting.

“He’s going to fuck her again,” Emilia whispered. “Right there. Against the car. In the open.”

Lukas’s hand tightened on hers. “Emilia.”

“What?”

“We’re watching people.”

“We’re watching two people who have no idea we exist.” She turned to him finally, and Lukas saw what he’d been afraid of... her cheeks flushed, her pupils blown, her bottom lip caught between her teeth. “Have you ever done that? Fucked someone outside where anyone could see?”

Lukas didn’t answer. He couldn’t. His mouth was dry and his cock was hard against the inside of his thigh and he hated himself for both things equally.

Outside, Selvam’s mouth was still on her, his teeth dragging a line down the center of her stomach, tongue dipping into the shallow of her navel, and Vanitha’s hands were in his hair, pulling him closer, and then...

She pushed him.

Not hard. Not angry. Just her palms flat against his chest, and Selvam stepped back, his eyes dark, his breath coming in white clouds. He looked at her. She looked at him. The cold air hit every inch of bare skin the turtleneck had been covering and she didn’t flinch.

Then she dropped to her knees on the sift grass.

She wrapped her hand around the base of his cock and looked up at him.

“I wanna taste your cock,” she said, and her voice was wrecked, raw from the cold and the kissing and the wanting, and she didn’t wait for permission.

Inside the café, Emilia’s coffee cup tipped. The dark liquid spilled across the table, pooling in the grain of the wood, but neither of them moved to stop it.

“Oh my God,” Emilia breathed. “She’s... she’s going to... ”

Lukas’s hand was on her wrist, not squeezing, just there, the heat of his palm bleeding through her skin. He couldn’t look away either. The woman outside had the man’s cock in her hand, and it was thick, flushed dark against the pale skin of her fingers, the head already wet, and she was looking up at him like he was the only thing in the world worth looking at.

“She’s beautiful,” Emilia whispered. “The way she’s looking at him. Like she’s... like she’s worshipping him.”

Vanitha’s mouth opened and she took the head between her lips, the way you’d take the first bite of something you’d been waiting for all day. The heat of her mouth after the cold air made Selvam’s breath catch, and his hand went to the back of her head, fingers threading through the loose dark hair that fell around her face like a curtain. He didn’t push. He didn’t need to. She was already sinking, her lips stretching around the girth of him, the head pressing past the soft of her palate, and the sound she made... a low, vibrating hum... traveled through the shaft and into his gut.

Inside the café, Emilia’s hand had now pressed Lukas’s wrists.

“She’s taking all of it,” Emilia whispered. “Look at her throat. You can see it.”

Lukas stared. The woman’s throat was working, muscles flexing as she swallowed, and the man’s hand was in her hair, not forcing, just holding, and the sight of it... the trust of it, the way she let him... made something in Lukas’s chest crack open.

“She’s not afraid of him,” Lukas said, and the words came out before he could catch them.

Emilia turned to look at him, and her eyes were wet, not from crying but from something else entirely. “What?” asked Lukas.

“I don’t think I can take a cock as big as that,” Emilia said, and the words came out of her mouth before she’d finished thinking them, before she’d even known she was thinking them. “My mouth is so small.”

The silence that followed was absolute.

Lukas heard the words land in the space between them like a stone dropped into still water. He felt the heat climb from his collar to his hairline, and his cock, which had been hard against his thigh for the last ten minutes, gave a stupid, traitorous throb. He turned to look at her... really look at her... and Emilia’s face was already burning, her hand flying to her mouth like she could catch the words and shove them back in.

But she didn’t. She let her hand fall. She looked at him with her mouth still open, her breath fogging the glass between them, and she said the next thing before she could stop herself.

“And look at him,” she said, her voice dropping to something barely above a whisper. “He’s so much older than her. Look at his hair. Look at his hands. He has to be... what, fifty? And she’s... she can’t be more than twenty-five.”

Lukas followed her gaze. He hadn’t noticed before, not really, not in the way Emilia was noticing now. The man’s hair was thick but shot through with silver at the temples, the lines at the corners of his eyes deep enough to catch shadow even at this distance. His forearms, where the sleeves were rolled, were corded with muscle but the skin had the particular texture of a man who’d been alive long enough to earn it. The woman’s face, by contrast, was smooth, unlined, the kind of youth that hadn’t yet learned to perform its own aging.

“He’s old enough to be her father,” Emilia said, and the words came out flat, factual, stripped of the breathy arousal that had colored everything else she’d said. Then she turned to Lukas, and her eyes were wide and bright and completely unapologetic. “And she’s on her knees for him in the middle of the Alps. In the cold. With her jeans around her ankle.”

Lukas’s mouth opened. Nothing came out.

Outside, Vanitha’s head was bobbing now, the rhythm steady, her hand working the base of Selvam’s cock in counterpoint to her mouth. The wet sounds were faint through the glass but audible... a slick, rhythmic pulse that made Emilia’s thighs press together under the table. Her coffee was still pooling across the wood, dark and cooling, and she didn’t reach for a napkin.

“She likes it,” Emilia said. “Look at her. She’s not doing it because he told her to. She’s doing it because she wants to.”

Lukas watched the woman’s throat work, the way her jaw stretched, the way her free hand braced against the man’s thigh for balance. The man’s head was tilted back, his face toward the sky, the tendons in his neck standing out like cables, and his hand was in her hair, not guiding, just resting there, the way you’d rest your hand on the back of a dog you trusted.

“He’s letting her,” Lukas said.

Selvam’s hand tightened in her hair, not pulling, just holding, and the sound she made around him vibrated through the shaft and into his hips. He let it go on for another minute... maybe two, maybe less, time had stopped meaning anything the second her mouth had closed around him... and then his grip shifted from her hair to under her arms, and he lifted her.

Vanitha’s knees left the grass. The cold air hit the backs of her thighs where his body had been warming them, and she gasped, her mouth coming off him with a wet pop, a string of spit still connecting her lower lip to the head. He carried her to the top of the car like she weighed nothing, his hands under her thighs, her arms around his neck, and he set her down on the hood of the Mercedes with the kind of deliberate care that made her stomach drop.

Selvam’s hands were on her knees, pushing them apart, spreading her open on the silver hood like something he was unwrapping. The cold air hit her cunt and she hissed, her hands flying to the edge of the hood, fingers gripping the metal.

He didn’t give her time to brace. His hands slid from her knees to the inside of her thighs, pushing them wider, and the cold air hit every inch of her that was exposed, and Vanitha’s back arched off the hood, her hands scrabbling for purchase on the warm metal.

Inside the café, Emilia’s breath caught so hard it hurt.

The man outside had his face between the woman’s thighs and he wasn’t kissing her the way Emilia has been kissed by Lukas, performative press of lips that lasted three seconds. He was eating her. His mouth was open, his tongue flat and wide, and he dragged it from the base of her slit to the top in one long, slow stroke that made the woman’s whole body jerk.

“Oh God,” Emilia whispered, and her hand flew to the glass, pressing flat against the condensation, the warmth of her palm fogging a perfect circle. “He’s... oh God, he’s really... ”

Lukas’s jaw was locked. He could feel the heat of Emilia’s wrist under his fingers, the pulse there hammering so fast it felt like a bird trying to escape. He told himself to look away. He told himself to pick up the coffee cup and drink the cold dregs and be a man sitting in a café with his girlfriend on a Tuesday morning. But his neck wouldn’t turn.

Emilia pressed her palm against the steamed glass as a man’s tongue traced slow, deliberate strokes between the woman’s thighs, and a hot, sharp ache tightened in her chest. She thought of Lukas. In three years he’d gone down on her only four times... each hesitant and brief: on her birthday in Bern, methodical as if ticking boxes; drunk after a party, asleep before long; on a Greek beach cut short by a wave; last Christmas in his parents’ bathroom, too afraid to touch her properly. She’d never told him it wasn’t enough. She’d never asked for a man who’d devour her like this... hungry, unrestrained... like the woman arching against the Mercedes, hands in his hair, moans echoing the passion she longed for.

Outside, Selvam’s tongue changed. The flat, dragging strokes stopped. His mouth pulled back, just enough that Emilia could see the shift... the way his jaw settled, the way his head tilted, the way his tongue narrowed to a point. He pressed the tip against the woman’s clit and flicked it. Once. Twice. Three times in quick succession, each one precise, each one landing in the same exact spot.

Vanitha’s hands flew to his hair. Her hips bucked off the hood.

Then he circled it. Slow. Deliberate. The tip of his tongue tracing a tight, clockwise orbit around the swollen bud, never quite landing on it, just brushing the edges, and the woman’s thighs began to shake against the sides of his face.

Inside the café, Lukas’s mouth went dry.

He watched the man’s tongue move... the flick, the circle, the flick again... and something in his brain rearranged itself. He had always done the same thing with Emilia: flat tongue, long strokes, a rhythm he’d copied from a porn video his roommate left playing on a laptop years ago. He had never flicked. He had never circled.

He had never thought to.

“Lukas.” Emilia’s voice came out thin, almost reedy, and when he turned to look at her, her face was flushed the particular shade of pink that meant she’d stopped breathing for a second and then started again too fast. “Lukas, look at what he’s doing with his tongue.”

“I’m looking,” he said.

“No, look. Really look. He’s not just... he’s not just going up and down. He’s doing something. He’s doing a pattern.”

Lukas looked. The man’s head was moving in tight, controlled circles, his jaw set, and the woman’s thighs were clamped against his ears like she was trying to keep him there forever. The hood of the Mercedes was warm enough that the condensation from the woman’s bare skin was leaving faint streaks on the silver paint.

“See?” Emilia said. “He’s circling it. And then he’s... there, watch... he’s flicking it. Right on the... right on the little... ” She stopped. Her hand was still pressed flat against the glass, and the circle of fog she’d made had grown, spreading outward until it nearly touched the edge of the window frame. “The little bud. The clit. He’s flicking it and then circling it again. Like he knows exactly where it is. Like he’s done this a thousand times and he’s memorized the map.”

Lukas swallowed. His throat clicked.

“And look at her,” Emilia said, and her voice had dropped to something barely above a whisper, the kind of whisper that wasn’t meant to be quiet but couldn’t manage anything louder. “Look at her face. She’s not pretending. She’s not... she’s not making those faces because she thinks she’s supposed to. She’s making them because it’s real. Because he’s actually... because he actually knows what he’s doing.”

She turned to Lukas, and her eyes were so wide they looked like they might spill.

“Have you ever done that?” she asked. “The flicking thing?”

Lukas opened his mouth. Closed it. Opened it again. “I don’t... I don’t know what you mean.”

“The flicking,” she said, and her hand came off the glass long enough to make a quick, sharp motion with her index finger. “Like that. Fast. Right on the... the little... ” She stopped. Her cheeks went from pink to crimson. “Right on the clit. Have you ever done that?”

The silence that followed was the loudest thing Lukas had ever heard in his life.

“I want you to start doing that to me, Lukas.”

The words landed in the space between them like a grenade with the pin already pulled. Emilia’s hand was still on the glass, the fog from her palm spreading in a perfect circle, and her eyes were locked on his with an intensity that made his stomach drop through the floor.

Lukas opened his mouth. Nothing came out. His tongue felt like it had been replaced with something made of wool.

Outside, the woman on the hood of the Mercedes made a sound that didn’t belong in the Alps. It was long and low and broken, the kind of sound that started in the chest and tore itself open on the way out, and it hit the café window with enough force that Emilia’s hand twitched against the glass.

Vanitha’s back arched off the hood so hard the metal groaned. Her hands flew from Selvam’s hair to the edge of the car, fingers white, nails scbanging against the paint. Her thighs clamped around his head and then released, clamped and released, like she couldn’t decide whether to pull him closer or push him away. The orgasm rolled through her in waves... not the sharp, bright peak of something quick, but something deep and tectonic, the kind that started in her toes and climbed through her calves and her thighs and her stomach and her chest and her throat and poured out of her mouth in a sound that had no words in it.

Selvam didn’t stop. His mouth stayed on her, tongue still circling, still flicking, and the second wave hit before the first one had finished. Vanitha’s hips bucked off the hood and the sound she made this time was louder, sharper, her name falling out of her own mouth in a gasp that the mountains threw back at her.

“Vanitha... ”

She said it again. Not mama. Not the careful, rehearsed distance she maintained in front of everyone else. Just her own name, raw and undone, as if she were meeting herself for the first time.

Inside the café, Emilia watched the woman’s face and felt something crack open behind her ribs. The jealousy was hot and immediate and completely irrational... she didn’t know this woman, had never spoken to her, would probably never see her again... but it was there, a thick, coiling thing that cinched around her lungs and squeezed. The woman’s face was open in a way Emilia had never seen on another person, not in real life, not in any of the videos she’d watched on her phone late at night with Lukas asleep beside her. It wasn’t the performative pleasure of someone who knew they were being watched. It was the real thing. The woman’s mouth was open, her eyes squeezed shut, her throat working around sounds that didn’t have syllables, and the man between her thighs was the reason for all of it.

Emilia’s hand dropped from the glass. The circle of fog she’d made began to fade, the edges softening, the center still dark where her palm had been pressed the hardest.

“He’s not stopping,” she whispered. “She’s still coming and he’s not stopping.”

Lukas looked at her. Really looked at her. He saw the flush on her cheeks, her bottom lip caught between her teeth, her eyes glassy and unfocused. He understood then... not with his mind, but with something lower, something animal. The woman outside was a mirror held up to their own bed, and the reflection was not kind.

Outside, Selvam’s mouth stayed on her through the second wave and into the third, his tongue never breaking rhythm, and Vanitha’s body surrendered everything it had. The sounds she made had lost all shape... they were just noise now, raw and open, the kind of noise that came from somewhere below language. Her thighs shook against his temples. Her fingers clawed at the hood of the car. The cold air raised goosebumps across every inch of bare skin, and she didn’t care, didn’t notice, didn’t feel anything except the heat of his mouth and the slow, tectonic unspooling of her own body.

Selvam pulled back.

Not all the way. Just enough that his lips left her skin, and he looked up at her from between her thighs, his chin glistening, his breath coming in white clouds that curled against the inside of her knee. He didn’t speak. He just watched her face as the orgasm finished its work... the way her mouth went slack, the way her eyes opened halfway, the way her chest rose and fell in long, shuddering pulls.

He let it finish. He didn’t rush her. He didn’t try to kiss her or touch her or say anything. He just knelt there on the gravel with his hands on her thighs and watched her come back to herself, the way you’d watch a fire burn down to embers, patient, present, letting it take as long as it needed.

Inside the café, Emilia’s coffee had stopped steaming.

“He’s... ” Emilia started, and then stopped. “He’s watching her. He’s not doing anything. He’s letting her finish.”

Lukas didn’t answer. He couldn’t. His throat had closed around something he didn’t have a name for.

Outside, the last tremor moved through Vanitha’s body... a fine, involuntary shudder that started in her hips and traveled up through her ribs and out through her fingertips. Her hands unclenched from the edge of the hood. Her breathing slowed. She opened her eyes all the way and looked down at him, and her face held something Lukas had never seen on another human being... not gratitude, not relief, but a look of profound, settled knowing.

Selvam stood.

The motion was fluid, unhurried, the kind of movement that belonged to a man who had never once in his life been in a rush. He rose from his knees and stepped back from the car, and the cold air hit every inch of him that had been warm against her skin, and he didn’t flinch.

His cock was still out. Still hard. Still thick ... and the head was still flushed, still angry-looking, a bead of fresh pre-cum catching the sun. He didn’t tuck himself back into his trousers. He stood up straight, pulling her off the hood by the hips, and turned her to face him. The cold air hit her bare stomach and she gasped, but his body blocked most of it, his chest warm and solid against her.

He guided her down onto the grass, his coat still spread beneath her, the wool scratchy against her shoulder blades. She lay back and looked up at him standing over her, the sky behind him a sheet of perfect blue, the peaks ringing them on every side. His cock hung heavy between his thighs, thick and dark, the shaft still slick from inside her. He didn’t kneel. He stood there for a moment, looking down at her, his chest rising and falling, the silver at his temples catching the light.

Vanitha spread her legs. The cold grass tickled the backs of her thighs. She watched him watch her, watched his jaw work, watched the way his hand drifted to his own shaft and gripped it, stroking once, slow, his eyes never leaving the wet pink of her open on the ground below him.

Inside the café, Emilia stopped pretending to drink her coffee twenty minutes ago. She could see the man standing over the woman in the grass. His cock was out. It was still hard. It was still... she looked at it, really looked, the way she’d been looking at it for the last forty-five minutes... impossibly, aggressively hard.

She turned to Lukas. Her voice came out breathy, surprised, the German tumbling faster than she meant.

“Wie ist das möglich?” She shook her head, eyes wide. “It’s been forty-five minutes. He’s still... look at him. He hasn’t gone soft once.”

Lukas didn’t answer. His jaw was set. He stared at the table.

Emilia leaned closer, whispering now, though there was no one else in the café. “Lukas. Look at it, he is he still hard after everything they’ve done?”

“I don’t know,” Lukas said. His voice was clipped, uncomfortable.

He’s just... ” She glanced back through the glass. The man was still standing over the woman, stroking himself slow, his thumb sweeping over the head every few passes. “He’s just built like that. Look at his back. Look at his arms.”

Lukas’s jaw tightened. “Can we not... ”

“No, I’m serious.” Emilia turned fully to face him now, her knee bumping the table, her coffee sloshing.

“I’m not... ” She stopped herself, pressed her lips together, then started again, slower this time, the words careful in a way they hadn’t been all morning. “Lukas. I’m not saying this to... I’m not comparing. Okay? I’m not.”

She reached across the table and put her hand on top of his. His fingers were cold. She wrapped hers around them and squeezed.

“I just didn’t know men could last that long,” she said. Her voice was quiet, almost wondering. “That’s all I’m saying. I didn’t know it was physically possible. He fucked her against the car and then he went down on her and she came... she came at least twice, I counted... and he’s still hard. He hasn’t even... he hasn’t even come yet. He’s just standing there and he’s still hard.”

Lukas’s hand twitched under hers. He didn’t pull away. He didn’t squeeze back.

“I’m not saying anything about you,” she said again, and this time she leaned forward so her forehead nearly touched his, her breath fogging the space between them. “I’m not. I promise. I’m just... I’m watching something I didn’t know existed and I’m trying to understand it.”

She turned back to the window. The man was still standing over the woman, his cock thick and dark against his thigh, his hand moving on it in unhurried, absent strokes, like he was thinking about something else entirely. The woman lay on the coat in the grass, her legs still spread, her chest rising and falling, her hair fanned out around her head like a dark halo. She looked wrecked. She looked like she’d been taken apart and put back together wrong, and she was smiling about it.

“How is he still hard?” Emilia whispered, more to herself than to Lukas. “It’s been almost an hour. How is his body doing that?”

Lukas didn’t answer. His jaw was working, the muscle jumping under the skin, and Emilia could see the flush creeping up from his collar, the particular shade of red that meant he was embarrassed and aroused and angry at himself for both. She squeezed his hand again.

“Lukas.”

“What.”

“Look at me.”

He looked. His eyes were bright, almost glassy, and the flush had reached his cheekbones.

“I’m not trying to hurt you, I swear. I’m learning something about what’s possible, and I need to talk about it with you. You’re the person I talk to about everything.”

He held her gaze for a long moment. Then his eyes dropped to the table, to the spilled coffee, to the cold ring of the cup, and he nodded once. Tight. Controlled.

“Okay,” he said.

Emilia turned back to the window. The man was kneeling now, one knee in the grass between the woman’s thighs, his hands braced on either side of her head. She could see his face from this angle... the set of his jaw, the concentration in his eyes, the way his mouth was pressed into a thin line like he was holding something back. The woman’s legs were wrapped around his waist, her ankles locked at the small of his back, and Emilia could see the way his hips were positioned... angled forward, cock aligned, the head pressed right there against the wet pink of her, not pushing in yet, just resting against the entrance like he was savoring the moment before the plunge.

Emilia leaned closer to the glass, her nose nearly touching the cold surface, and then she realized... she couldn’t see it clearly. The angle was wrong. The man’s body blocked the exact point of contact, his hips and thighs forming a wall between her and the thing she wanted most to see.

She stood up.

The chair scbangd against the stone floor. Lukas looked at her, startled, his hand still on the table where hers had been. Emilia didn’t explain. She moved around the table, hip brushing Lukas’s arm, and sat on the bench along the other side of the window, the one with the clear, unobstructed view.

Lukas followed. He had to. There was nowhere else to sit, and he wasn’t going to stay on the other side of the table alone. He slid onto the bench beside her, close enough that his thigh pressed against hers, and the warmth of him seeped through the denim of her jeans.

From here, the view was perfect.

Emilia could see everything. The man’s face... the silver at his temples, the deep lines at the corners of his eyes, the way his jaw was set with something that looked like restraint and hunger in equal measure. His chest, bare now where his shirt had come unbuttoned, the muscle thick and defined under skin that was darker than hers... a body built not in a gym but by decades of discipline. And below that... below the flat plane of his stomach, below the dark line of hair that ran from his navel downward... his cock.

It was right there. Right at the entrance of her. The head was flushed dark, almost purple, the shaft thick and rigid, and Emilia could see the exact point where it pressed against the woman’s opening, the way the wet pink lips of her stretched around the tip, not quite taking him in yet, just holding him there, the pressure visible even from ten meters away.

Emilia’s breath caught in her throat. Her breath fogged the glass, framing the man’s cock like a photograph she’d composed herself.

“Oh,” she breathed. “Oh, that’s... ”

She couldn’t finish. The man outside shifted his hips, just a fraction, just enough that the head pushed past the first ring of muscle, and Emilia watched the woman’s mouth fall open, watched the tendons in her neck stand out, watched the way her hands flew to the man’s forearms and gripped, her fingers digging into the corded muscle.

Selvam pushed in deliberately.

Not all at once. Not the way Emilia had expected. He sank into her in increments... an inch, then a pause, then another inch, then another pause... and Emilia watched the woman’s body resist him with every inch.

“Lukas.” Her voice came out thin, almost reedy. “Lukas, look.”

She pressed her nose closer to the glass. The man’s hips had stopped. He was maybe three-quarters of the way in... she could see the exact point where the shaft disappeared into her, the wet pink lips stretched so tight around the girth of him that the skin looked almost white at the edges. His balls were drawn up tight against his body, and the muscles in his forearms were standing out like cables where the woman’s hands gripped him.

“He can’t get all the way in,” Emilia whispered.

Lukas didn’t answer. His thigh was rigid against hers, the heat of him bleeding through the denim.

“Lukas, look at her face.” Emilia’s hand found his knee and squeezed. “She’s... it’s so tight. He can’t push the rest of the way. Look at how she’s gripping him. Look at his arms. He’s trying and he can’t.”

She watched the man’s hips rock forward, a fraction of an inch, then stop. Rock forward again. Stop. The woman’s mouth was open, her eyes squeezed shut, and the sound she made... even through the glass... was a low, guttural whimper that made Emilia’s stomach clench.

“He’s too big for her,” Emilia said, and the words came out before she’d finished thinking them. “He’s actually too big. She can’t take all of it.”

Lukas’s body was rigid. She could feel the tension radiating from him where her shoulder pressed against his.

“Have you ever seen that?” she asked. “In real life? I’ve only ever seen it in... you know. Videos. But those are... those are fake. Those women are... they’re acting. She’s not acting. She genuinely can’t fit all of him inside her.”

Lukas swallowed. His throat clicked.

Outside, the man shifted his weight. He pulled back... just an inch... and then pushed forward again, steady and unhurried, as Emilia watched the woman’s body open another fraction, the wet shine of her catching the sun.

“He’s going to keep trying,” Emilia said, and her voice had gone breathy, almost reverent. “He’s not going to stop. He’s going to keep pushing until she takes all of it. Look at his face. He’s not even... he’s not even frustrated. He’s patient. He’s just going to keep going until her body lets him in.”

She turned to Lukas. His eyes were fixed on the window, his pupils blown so wide the blue was almost gone.

“Lukas.”

“What.”

“Have you ever been with someone who couldn’t take all of you?”

The silence that followed was absolute. Lukas’s hand tightened on the bench beside him, his knuckles going white against the dark wood.

“Because I’ve never... ” She stopped. Pressed her lips together. Started again, slower this time. “Because I’ve never had to worry about that with you.”

Lukas’s face went through something she couldn’t name... a flash of hurt, then anger, then something that looked almost like shame, all of it compressed into the space of a single breath before his expression locked down again, the mask sliding into place with the mechanical precision of a man who’d had a lot of practice.

“Emilia.” His voice came out rough, scbangd raw. “I don’t want to talk about this right now.”

“I’m not... ”

“You’re comparing me to him.” He didn’t look at her, his eyes fixed on the man outside. “You’re sitting here watching some stranger in the Alps and you’re comparing me to him.”

Emilia’s mouth opened. Closed. The heat in her chest climbed, sharp and defensive, but underneath it something else... something that felt like guilt, or maybe just the uncomfortable recognition that he was right.

“I’m not comparing,” she said, but the words came out thin, unconvincing, and they both heard it.

Lukas turned his head away from her, he couldn’t help it. The glass was right there, and the scene outside was right there, and his body wouldn’t let him look away even though every rational part of his brain was screaming at him to close his eyes.

He looked at the woman.

Not the way Emilia had been looking at her... not at the mechanics of it, not at the anatomy, not at the way her body stretched around the man’s cock. He looked at her face.

Her face.

Her eyes were closed, the lashes dark against her cheeks, and her mouth was open in a way that had nothing performative about it... lips parted, the lower one caught between her teeth, a thin line of spit connecting the corner of her mouth to her chin. Her cheeks were flushed the particular shade of pink.

She was beautiful, but not in a designed way. She was beautiful like a landscape, raw and unguarded, completely indifferent to being watched.

Her breasts were bare, soft, full and heavy, the nipples dark and stiff from the cold and the arousal, and Lukas’s gaze lingered there for a moment longer than he wanted to admit. Her breasts were full and heavy... not surgically round, but softer, more human, the kind that moved when she breathed and responded to the cold with their own involuntary language. The left one caught the sun as the man shifted his weight, the skin going gold for a second before the shadow fell across it again.

He looked at her lips. They were swollen from kissing, the lower one bitten raw, and even from this distance he could see the way they moved around sounds that didn’t have words... the little gasps, the sharp inhales, the long, shuddering exhales that fogged the air above her face. Her teeth were white against the dark of her mouth, and when she said the man’s name... not mama, not any of the careful, rehearsed distance she probably maintained in front of other people, just his name, raw and wrecked... Lukas felt something crack open behind his ribs.

Her eyes opened.

Just for a second. Just long enough for Lukas to see them... dark, almost black from this distance, the whites bright against the flush of her skin... and they found Lukas’s through the glass.

His breath stopped. For one terrible, suspended second he thought she’d seen him... thought the woman outside had caught him staring at her breasts, her lips, the raw wreckage of her face... and his whole body went hot with a shame so acute it felt like a physical blow. He jerked his gaze away, down to the table, to the cold ring of his coffee cup, to the grain of the wood, anywhere but the window.

But Emilia had already seen.

He felt her turn toward him on the bench, the shift of her weight against his thigh, the warmth of her breath on his neck. He kept his eyes on the table. He could feel her watching him the way he’d been watching the woman... the particular, attentive stillness of someone cataloguing every detail.

“Lukas.”

He didn’t answer. His jaw was locked so tight it ached.

“Lukas, look at me.”

He shook his head, a fraction of an inch. His hand was still on the bench beside him, the knuckles white against the dark wood, and he could feel the tremor running through his fingers, the stupid, involuntary shake of a body that had been holding itself rigid for too long.

She put her hand on top of his. Her palm was warm and dry, and she squeezed, not hard, just enough to pull him back.

“It’s okay,” she said. Her voice was soft, stripped of the breathy arousal that had colored everything she’d said for the last hour. “Lukas. It’s okay to look. I’m looking too.”

He turned his head. Slowly. The muscle in his jaw released by degrees, and he found her face inches from his... her cheeks still flushed, her pupils still blown, her bottom lip still caught between her teeth the way it had been since the man outside had first pressed the woman against the hood of the car. But there was something else in her expression now. It was tenderness, or maybe just the honesty of a woman who had stopped performing.

“You were looking at her,” Emilia said. Not an accusation. A fact.

Lukas’s throat worked. He swallowed. “Yeah.”

“At her face.”

“Yeah.”

“Not at... ” She gestured toward the window. “Not at the mechanics of it. At her face.”

Lukas nodded. His hand turned under hers, and his fingers laced through hers on the bench, and the tremor in his fingers met the tremor in hers and canceled out, just slightly, just enough.

“I was looking at her face too,” Emilia said. She turned back to the window, her shoulder pressing against his, and he followed her gaze because there was nowhere else to look, because the window was the only thing in the room that mattered. “She’s so... she’s so present. You can see it. She’s not thinking about anything except the feeling of him inside her. She’s not thinking about who’s watching or what she looks like or whether she’s doing it right. She’s just... there.”

Lukas watched the woman’s face. Her eyes were closed again, lips slightly parted, the cold air sharp against her flushed skin.

Selvam watched her for a moment, then began moving with deliberate, measured strokes. The sound of skin meeting skin echoed against the mountain backdrop, punctuated by Vanitha’s soft gasps.

Inside the café, Emilia whispered.

“Lukas,” not looking away from the window. “He’s really... all the way inside her now.”

Lukas shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his own coffee untouched. “We shouldn’t be watching this.”

“We’re not watching,” Emilia said, though her eyes never left the scene outside. “We’re just... here. They know we’re here. They don’t care.”

Selvam’s hands moved to Vanitha’s breasts, kneading the soft flesh as he established a rhythm. He lowered his mouth to her neck, teeth grazing the sensitive skin.

Vanitha’s head fell back, exposing her throat. Her fingers dug into his shoulders, nails leaving crescent marks in his skin. The cold air raised goosebumps across her chest as Selvam’s mouth traveled lower.

“He’s kissing her breasts now,” Emilia said, her voice barely audible. “Biting them. God, look at how she’s responding.”

Lukas finally allowed himself to glance outside. The man had one of the woman’s nipples between his teeth, her back arched off the car hood. The sight sent heat rushing through his body despite himself.

“How does he last so long?” Emilia asked, genuinely curious. “They’ve been at it for... I don’t know how long.”

She turned to face him, eyes bright with something he couldn’t name. “It’s different. The way he touches her. Like he knows exactly what she needs.”

Outside, Selvam shifted his weight, lifting one of Vanitha’s legs higher. The new angle drew a sharp cry from her that carried across the silent mountain air.

Emilia bit her lower lip. “I’ve never made sounds like that.”

Lukas reached for her hand across the table. “We could try to... ”

“Not now,” she said, her hand recoiling. “I want to see how this ends.”

Selvam increased his pace, each thrust driving deeper. Vanitha’s fingers scrambled against the car’s metal surface, finding nothing to grip. Her cream turtleneck had ridden up, exposing the full curve of her breasts, now marked with red bites and the imprints of his fingers.

“Vanitha,” Selvam murmured against her ear, the first word spoken between them since they began. His voice was rough, controlled despite the intensity of his movements.

She opened her eyes, meeting his gaze. “Don’t stop.”

He didn’t. His hand slid between their bodies, finding the sensitive bundle of nerves at her center. The pressure of his thumb against her clit drew a strangled moan from her throat.

Inside, Emilia’s breath quickened. She pressed her thighs together under the table, the ache between her legs so sharp it bordered on pain. Lukas watched her face instead of the window now, the way her lips parted, the way her chest rose and fell in quick, shallow breaths, and something in his stomach tightened into a knot he couldn’t name.

Outside, Selvam’s rhythm changed.

It wasn’t gradual. It was a decision... the kind of decision a man makes when the restraint he’s been holding in place for the last hour finally cracks. His hips pulled back, cock nearly sliding free, and then he drove forward with a force. Vanitha’s back arched off the grass, her mouth falling open around a sound that didn’t have a shape to it. He did it again. And again. And again.

The rhythm was methodical, relentless, each thrust landing deeper than the last as the wet slap of skin carried across the alpine air. Selvam’s hands left her breasts and went to her hips, fingers digging into the soft flesh above her waist, and he used the grip to pull her onto him with every stroke, meeting her halfway, the impact driving the breath from her lungs in sharp, broken gasps.

Vanitha’s hands flew to the edge and she grabbed and pulled bunch of grass, fingers white, nails scbanging against the grass. Her head thrashed side to side, hair sticking to her cheeks where the sweat had started, and the sounds coming out of her mouth were no longer words... they were just noise, raw and open and completely unguarded, the kind of noise that didn’t care who heard it. Her thighs clamped around his waist, then released, clamped and released, the muscles in her legs trembling with each impact.

Selvam didn’t slow. If anything, he thrust harder, his hips snapping forward with a force that made the car rock on its suspension, the wet, obscene pulse of his cock driving into her again and again. His jaw was set, the tendons in his neck standing out like cables, and the sound he made... low, guttural, almost animal... cut through the cold air and hit the café window like a fist.

Inside, Emilia’s hand was on Lukas’s thigh, her fingers digging into the denim, and she wasn’t aware she was doing it.

“He’s... ” she started, and her voice came out strangled, barely recognizable. “He’s not stopping. He’s just... he’s just going harder. Look at her face. Look at her face, Lukas.”

Lukas looked. The woman’s face was a map of something he’d never seen before... her eyes squeezed shut, her mouth open so wide he could see the back of her throat, her cheeks flushed the particular shade of red that meant the blood had nowhere else to go. The tendons in her neck stood out like wires, and every time the man’s hips drove forward, her whole body jerked, the impact registered as a full-body shudder that started at her hips and rolled through her like a wave.

And then the wave broke.

It didn’t build the way the first ones had... the slow climb, the tightening, the point of no return. This one hit her like a wall. One second she was on the edge, the next she was over it, her body arching off the grass so hard the coat bunched beneath her shoulders, her mouth falling open around a sound that started in her gut and ripped itself out through her chest and her throat and her teeth. Her thighs locked around his waist, the muscles in her legs going rigid, and the orgasm rolled through her in a single, massive contraction that clenched around his cock so hard he stopped moving entirely, his hips frozen mid-thrust, the air stalled in his chest.

Inside the café, Emilia’s hand flew to her own mouth.

“She’s... ” The word came out muffled against her palm. “Oh God, Lukas, she’s coming again. She’s coming again and he’s still inside her... and he’s not moving. He’s just letting her... ”

Vanitha’s body kept going. The first contraction hadn’t finished before the second one started, her cunt clamping around him in rhythmic, involuntary pulses that she could feel in her teeth, in her fingertips, in the roots of her hair. The sound she made was not a moan. It was not a scream. It was something between the two... a long, broken keen that the mountains threw back at her in fragments, her own voice coming apart in the cold air and reassembling itself as something she didn’t recognize.

Selvam stayed still. His hands were on her hips, his thumbs pressed into the soft flesh above her waist, and he held her there... held her through it... his cock buried to the hilt while her body shook and clenched and shook again. He didn’t thrust. He didn’t pull out. He knelt between her thighs and let her use him, let her body take what it needed from the fullness of him, and the expression on his face was something Lukas had never seen on another man... not triumph, not pride, something quieter than both. Something that looked almost like gratitude.

The third wave hit before the second had finished. Vanitha’s back bowed off the grass, her spine curving into an arch so deep the tendons in her neck stood out like ropes, and the sound that came out of her was so raw it didn’t sound human. Her hands flew to his forearms and gripped, her nails breaking skin, and she pulled him down onto her, wanting his weight, wanting the solid heat of his chest against her bare breasts, wanting the smell of him in her nose and the taste of him in her mouth and the impossible, overwhelming fullness of him inside her.

Selvam came down. His chest pressed against hers, the cold air vanishing between their bodies, and he kissed her... not her mouth, her throat, right where the pulse hammered against the skin... and he stayed there, his lips against her carotid, breathing her in while the orgasm tore through her in wave after wave.

When the last tremor finally left her body, when the clenching slowed to a soft, rhythmic pulse and then to nothing, Vanitha opened her eyes. The sky above her was a sheet of perfect blue, the peaks ringing it on every side, and the cold air hit her bare chest in a rush that made her gasp. Selvam remained above her, inside her, his chest warm against hers, his breath coming in white clouds that curled against her throat.

She turned her head. Looked at him. His face was close enough that she could see the individual silver threads at his temples, the deep lines at the corners of his eyes, the way his jaw was set with something that looked like restraint and hunger in equal measure. His cock remained hard inside her, thick and pulsing with a heat that had nothing to do with the cold.

“Selvam,” she said. Her voice came out wrecked, scbangd raw, barely above a whisper.

He didn’t answer. He just watched her face, his eyes dark, his breath steadying by degrees.

She shifted her hips, felt him shift inside her, felt the fullness that made her stomach drop. The cold air was everywhere... on her bare breasts, on her stomach, on the backs of her thighs where the coat had bunched beneath her... and every inch of exposed skin was raised with goosebumps, the fine hair on her arms stood erect. Her nipples were so stiff they ached, the cold pulling them tight against the warm press of his chest.

She lifted her hand. Pressed her palm flat against his jaw, feeling the stubble rough under her fingers, the heat of his skin bleeding into hers. She could feel his pulse against her thumb, steady and strong, and she held it there for a moment, counting the beats.

Then she said it.

“Mama.” The word came out soft, almost reverent, and she felt his cock twitch inside her at the sound of it. “I want you to come all over me.”

She watched his face. Watched the way his jaw worked, the way his eyes went darker, the way his breath caught and held for a fraction of a second before releasing.

“I want to feel the warmth,” she said, and her voice was steady now, clear, the wreckage of the last hour burned away by something hotter. “In this cold. Under the Swiss Alps. I want to feel it on my skin. I want to feel it hit me.”

Selvam’s hands tightened on her hips. His thumbs pressed into the soft flesh above her waist, and she felt the tremor run through his fingers... not from the cold, from something else entirely.

“Vanitha... ”

“Don’t argue with me.” She smiled, the left corner of her mouth quirking higher than the right. “I’m cold, mama. I want to feel warm. And I want it to be yours.”

Inside the café, Emilia could make out their voices through the glass but couldn’t understand what the woman was asking for. The heat was climbing her chest, not knowing if Selvam had already came inside or not.

“What are they talking about?” She asked Lucas.

Lukas shook his head, his jaw still locked, his eyes fixed on the window. “I don’t know. I can’t hear the words.”

The woman’s mouth was moving, her lips shaping something she couldn’t make out through the condensation, and the man above her had gone very still... not the quiet of stopping, but the stillness of listening. His hands were still on her hips, his cock still buried inside her, but his whole body had locked into a single point of attention, like a dog catching a scent.

Then the man pulled out.

Emilia inhaled sharply. She watched the head slide free of the woman’s body, the wet pink of her entrance glistening in the cold light, and the man rose up onto his knees, his cock standing thick and dark against his stomach, the head flushed nearly purple, a bead of pre-cum catching the sun. His hand wrapped around the shaft, and Emilia watched his fingers press bloodless into the skin.

“Oh my god, he has not come yet," gasped Emilia.

Lukas pressed his palm flat against the bench beside him. He could feel the wood grain digging into his knuckles, the man outside was stroking himself with a grip that looked almost violent, his fist pumping the shaft in short, sharp strokes, his jaw locked, his eyes fixed on the woman’s body beneath him.

“Lukas.” Emilia’s voice came out thin, reedy, the German slipping through the cracks of her English. “Lukas, he’s going to... ”

She didn’t finish. She didn’t need to. The first rope hit her stomach.

Emilia watched it land... thick, white, almost obscene against the woman’s golden skin... and her mouth fell open. The man’s hand was still pumping, the grip tight, his knuckles white, and the second rope followed before the first had finished spreading, catching the underside of her left breast, the thick white fluid pooling in the hollow between the soft flesh and her ribcage. The third landed higher, across her sternum, and the fourth caught the swell of her right breast, a thick streak that ran from the nipple down toward her navel.

Emilia watched the fifth rope land across the woman’s navel, the thick white fluid pooling in the shallow dip before spilling over the curve of her stomach. The sixth caught her left nipple, the seventh her collarbone, and the eighth... the eighth was the thickest, a rope so dense it looked almost solid as it arced through the cold air and landed in a perfect line from her sternum to her chin.

The woman didn’t flinch. She didn’t close her eyes. She lay there on the coat in the grass with her legs still spread, her chest heaving, her skin marked with bites and finger impressions and now.

After few mins of laying on top of Selvam, he heard Vanitha say, “I am hungry, mama”.

“Let’s get you something to eat, we may need to drive far,” he said.

They got ready and ready and put on their clothes and as they walked back into the car, Vanitha pointed excitedly at the café. “Mama, there’s a restaurant.”

“Perfect!“

They both walked to the Cafe towards Emilia and Lukas.

Chapter 132: Emilia's and Luka's Cafe

The bell above the door chimed.

Cold air rushed in behind them... pine resin, mineral altitude, the sharp edge of July rain not yet fallen. Vanitha stepped through after Selvam. Her cheeks still burned. Hair wild. Cream turtleneck shoved into jeans without thought. Coat buttoned wrong, one side hanging lower. She didn’t notice.

Four tables. Stone walls. A hand-painted sign behind the counter in three languages.

The couple at the window table watched them come in.

Emilia rose with a menu. Her hands trembled against the laminated edge. Not from cold. The café was warm, almost stifling after the mountain air. She pressed the menu flat to her thigh and forced her fingers still.

Up close the man was taller. Shoulders broader. Forearms corded under rolled sleeves. He smelled of pine and skin and something warmer underneath that made Emilia’s stomach drop.

The woman was softer than the glass had suggested. Rounder. The kind of pretty that came from being well-fed and thoroughly fucked and not caring about either.

Lukas stepped out from behind the counter. Jaw locked. Shoulders squared in the particular way of a man who had spent the last hour watching another man fuck his girlfriend against a car hood and was now trying very hard to look like he hadn’t.

“Guten Tag.” The German came out clipped, formal, consonants sharp enough to cut. “Willkommen. Tisch oder Bar?”

“We’ll take the bar,” Selvam said. “Sorry. Our German isn’t good.”

Lukas nodded once... tight, controlled... and gestured to the two stools at the far end. Closest to the window. Clearest view of the gravel pull-off, the stone wall, the silver Mercedes still ticking in the cold.

Selvam pulled the stool out for her. Vanitha sat. Thighs pressed together under the bar. The ache lived deep in the muscle... the particular soreness of legs held rigid too long, hips pinned open, body used hard. She crossed her arms on the wood, chin in her palm, and looked at the menu without seeing it.

Cold still lived under her clothes. She could feel every place his mouth had been. The bite on her collarbone. The bruise rising on her hip. The swollen tenderness between her thighs that made every shift on the stool a private, deliberate reminder.

Lukas set two glasses of water down. Hand steady. Eyes flicked once to Selvam’s forearms... the faint red lines where her nails had broken skin... and away again, fast, as if burned.

Vanitha almost smiled. Almost. She pressed her lips together and looked down instead. German blurred into French into English. None of it landed.

Emilia came around the bar with more menus. Cheeks still pink. Hair tucked behind one ear in a way that looked deliberate and then didn’t. She set them down. Her hand brushed Vanitha’s... brief, warm. Vanitha looked up.

Emilia was smiling.

Not the polite customer-service smile. A real one. The kind that started at the mouth and reached the eyes and stayed there, bright and unguarded. The kind that said I see you and I’m not going to pretend I don’t.

Something in Vanitha’s chest loosened. She hadn’t realized it had been tight.

“English?” Emilia’s accent was thick, vowels rounder than they should have been. “I speak English. Not perfect, but... ” A one-shouldered shrug. “Good enough.”

“English is fine.” Vanitha’s own voice came out warmer than she meant it to, the wreckage of the last hour still living in the back of her throat. “English is perfect.”

Emilia’s smile widened. She leaned her hip against the bar, one hand flat on the wood. The posture was too casual for a server. Too open.

“You are from India?”

“Chennai. South India.”

“Chennai.” Emilia rolled the word around her mouth like she was tasting it. “I have never been. My friend went to Goa. Said the food was... ” She made a soft, breathy sound and pressed her hand flat to her stomach. “Unbelievable.”

“It is.” The laugh came easy, unrehearsed. “Goa is different from Chennai, though. The food in Chennai is heavier. More spice. More heat.”

“More heat.” Emilia’s eyes flicked... just a fraction of a second... to the edge of Vanitha’s collarbone where the turtleneck had slipped, to the dark bloom of Selvam’s bite, and back so fast it might not have happened. “I like heat.”

Warmth climbed Vanitha’s neck. She didn’t look away. “Me too.”

Emilia’s smile shifted, private, almost conspiratorial. She picked up a pen and tapped it twice against the menu. “What do you want to eat? We have raclette today. Melted cheese. Over potatoes. With pickles. It is not Indian food, but it is... ” The same soft noise, hand flat against her stomach again. “Unbelievable.”

“Raclette sounds perfect.” Vanitha didn’t look at the menu. She looked at Emilia’s face... the flush still high, the eyes bright with something that wasn’t caffeine. “I’m starving, actually.”

“Good.” Emilia wrote it down fast. “And for him?” She tilted her chin toward Selvam without looking at him directly. Something flickered in her expression... respect, or the visceral wariness of a woman who had watched a man move the way Selvam moved and understood exactly what that meant.

“Same,” Vanitha said. “He’ll have the same.”

Emilia nodded, wrote, then leaned forward on both elbows. Closer than a server’s face had any business being. The gesture was so open Vanitha felt the instinct to lean back and didn’t follow it.

“Can I ask you something?”

“Sure.”

But Emilia only smiled again and went back to the kitchen.

Lukas returned with two beers. Set them down with the careful precision of a man trained to do it. Foam rose to the rim and held. He stepped back, hands at his sides, jaw still locked, flush still high on his cheekbones.

Selvam picked up his glass. Didn’t drink. Held it between both hands the way a man holds something he’s not sure he wants yet. Looked at Lukas over the rim.

“Good beer.”

Lukas’s throat worked. “Local. Brewed in Interlaken. The hops are from the Emmental.” The words came out clipped, formal, automatic... like a script rehearsed a thousand times.

Selvam nodded. Took a sip. Cold. Clean. Bright bitterness at the back of the tongue. Set the glass down.

“You run this place?”

“Three years. My parents had a restaurant in Bern. I wanted something smaller. Quieter.” His eyes flicked to the window, to the disturbed gravel outside, and back. “It’s just the two of us. Emilia and me.”

Selvam’s thumb traced the rim of the glass. He didn’t look at the window. He looked at Lukas the way he looked at anyone he was trying to read. Fair. Square-jawed. The kind of face that would age well if it ever learned to relax. But the jaw was locked tight enough to crack, and the flush on his cheekbones had nothing to do with the radiator.

“You’re from Bern.”

“Born there. Raised there.” Lukas’s hand found the edge of the bar. Fingers curled around the wood. “You’re from India.”

“Chennai. South India.”

Silence stretched thin and taut between them. Two men who had watched each other through a café window for an hour and didn’t know how to fill the space with small talk.

Vanitha’s knee pressed warm against Selvam’s under the bar. She kept still. Listening without looking like she was listening.

“You drove up from Gstaad,” Lukas said. The sentence came out like an accusation. He seemed to hear it himself. His jaw tightened further. “The pass is not easy in July. The snowmelt makes the gravel loose.”

“It was fine. The Mercedes handled it.”

Lukas nodded. Knuckles white on the bar. He looked like a man standing at the edge of a cliff, trying to decide whether to jump or step back.

“You’re in tech.”

“Software. Bay Area.”

Lukas’s jaw worked. “I thought so.” He picked up a cloth and wiped a spot that wasn’t there. “The car. The watch. The... ” His eyes flicked to Selvam’s wrist, the black band against dark skin, and away. “You look like someone who runs things.”

“I run things.”

Flat. Measured. No performance. Selvam watched the boy’s face for the reaction. Tightening. Release. Tightening again. Data point. Not judgment.

“How old is the company?”

“Twelve years. Started in Chennai. Moved to California six years ago.”

“Twelve years.” Lukas repeated the number like he was doing math. Eyes flicked to Vanitha... brief, involuntary... and back. “And you’re... how old?”

Selvam took another sip. Set the glass down. Looked at him over the rim.

“Forty-eight.”

Lukas’s throat moved. His eyes flicked to Vanitha again... longer this time, deliberate... and Selvam watched the arithmetic happen behind the boy’s eyes in real time. Forty-eight. The woman beside him couldn’t be more than twenty-five. The conclusion was obvious. Lukas’s face went through all of it in the space of two seconds.

Selvam didn’t fill the silence. He let it sit.

Vanitha felt the tension thicken at the bar even though she’d started the evening almost preternaturally at ease. She picked up the water glass and rolled the base in a slow circle, watching condensation bead and run. Old Instagram instincts kicked in hard.

She looked at Lukas. “Do you get a lot of Indians up here?” Friendly. Almost teasing. Letting him off the hook.

He blinked. “No. I mean... sometimes. In the spring. The hiking. But not... ” He glanced at Selvam, then at her. “Not like you.”

Vanitha grinned into the glass. “Not like me?”

Emilia returned from the kitchen, set two coffees down with a clatter, and leaned in, eyes wide. “She means you look like you are in a movie.” She gestured at Vanitha’s face, her hair, the line of her jaw. “Like Bollywood, yes?”

It should have come out as a dig. Instead Vanitha laughed... unguarded, sharp, involuntary. Both men turned to look at her in surprise. She felt the laugh in her stomach and for a second couldn’t remember the last time she’d let herself enjoy the sound of her own voice.

“If I’m in a movie,” she said, “it’s definitely an R-rated one.” She caught Selvam’s eye. “You’d be the villain, I think.”

Selvam’s mouth curled at the edges... the closest he ever came to a full smile. “I don’t get to be the hero?”

“You don’t have the haircut for it.”

Something in her chest went startlingly light.

Emilia clapped her hands like Vanitha had performed a trick. “The villain! Yes! The rich, dangerous man in the mountains.” She looked at Selvam with open delight, no fear in it at all. Vanitha felt something warm bloom under her ribs at the sight... this girl who built none of the careful distance people usually put around Selvam within thirty seconds of meeting him.

Lukas didn’t laugh. He folded the cloth again, corners precise. But his shoulders had dropped half an inch. Progress.

The raclette came out ten minutes later. Emilia served it herself... molten cheese scbangd over potatoes still steaming, cornichons bright and sharp, dried beef shaved thin as paper. The smell hit Vanitha’s stomach like a fist. She hadn’t eaten since the bread that morning, and the bread had ended up in the mud with Hartmann’s blood, and everything since had burned through her like fuel.

She ate without grace. Didn’t care. Cheese was salt and smoke and fat. Potato broke apart under the fork. She made a sound around the first bite that was frankly indecent.

“Good?” Emilia was already grinning.

“Unbelievable.” Vanitha borrowed the word. Emilia laughed so hard she had to grip the bar.

Beside her Selvam ate slowly, methodically, the way he did everything. She watched him take a second helping without being asked. That was his version of the sound she’d made.

Lukas refilled the beers. The second round went down easier. Conversation loosened. Emilia asked about sarees, about Instagram when Vanitha mentioned it, about whether the food in Chennai was really as spicy as her friend claimed. Vanitha answered everything. It cost her nothing. For the first time in months, talking to strangers felt like a gift instead of a transaction.

She didn’t notice the light change until the room went dim.

The window had gone gray. Peaks that had been razor-sharp an hour ago were gone... swallowed by cloud poured down the valley. First drops hit the glass fat and slow. Then the sky simply opened.

Rain came down in sheets. Not drizzle. A downpour that turned the gravel into a blur, that drummed on the roof hard enough to feel in the bar top under her forearms. The Mercedes disappeared behind a wall of water.

“Oh.” Emilia looked out. “Oh, that is bad.”

Lukas came around the bar and stood at the window, arms crossed, reading the sky the way locals read skies. “The pass. You cannot drive it. Not in this. The gravel washes. Last summer a car went off near the second switchback.” Flat. Fact by fact. No drama. “It will rain until morning. Maybe longer.”

Vanitha looked at Selvam. Selvam looked at the rain.

“We have a house,” Emilia said. “Behind the café. There is a guest room.” Already smiling. “You will stay.”

Vanitha waited for Selvam to refuse. She knew the shape of his refusals... polite, absolute, delivered like a closed door. He would offer a hotel. Insist on driving. Find some third option that kept them sealed inside their own world.

Instead he looked at the rain a long moment, then at her. She felt the question in it. Gave him the smallest nod.

“Thank you,” Selvam said. “That’s very generous.”

Emilia clapped again, delighted. Lukas turned back to the window with his arms still crossed. Just like that it was decided.

The house attached to the café through a short stone corridor that smelled of woodsmoke and drying wool. Vanitha ducked through the low doorway behind Emilia and came out into a living room smaller than the Alpina suite’s bathroom. Woodstove in the corner. Couch worn soft in the middle. Shelf of paperbacks with cracked spines. Two doors leading off to bedrooms. Rain hammered the roof in a steady roar. It was, she thought, the most honest room she’d been in all year.

“It is small,” Emilia said, apologetic and not apologetic at all.

“It’s perfect.” Vanitha meant it.

Lukas built up the fire. Emilia disappeared and came back with a bottle of clear liquid and four small glasses. “Kirsch. For the rain.” She poured without asking.

It burned clean going down... cherry and fire. Landed in Vanitha’s stomach on top of the cheese and the beer and glowed there. She sat on the couch with her legs folded under her. Selvam beside her, thigh a line of warmth against her knee. Across the low table Emilia sat on the floor with her back against the armchair Lukas had taken, glass already empty, cheeks pink from the fire or the kirsch or something else.

Second round went down easier. Third, easier still. Emilia asked about Chennai, about the ocean, about whether Vanitha had ever seen snow before Switzerland. Vanitha answered everything. Rain kept coming down. Fire cracked. For a while it was simply good... four people in a small warm room while the mountain drowned outside.

Then Emilia set her glass down with a deliberate click. Took a breath, the kind a person takes before jumping.

“I have to say something. Lukas will be angry, but I cannot sit here all night and pretend.”

“Emilia.” Lukas’s voice came out low. Warning.

“No.” She looked straight at Vanitha, eyes bright and terrified and completely unguarded. “This afternoon. At the wall. By your car.” Her hands made a small helpless gesture. “The window of the café looks directly there. We saw you. We saw... everything.”

Fire cracked. Rain roared.

Vanitha’s face went hot from throat to hairline. Beside her Selvam had gone very still.

They saw. All of it. The car. The grass. Her knees in the gravel. Her name torn out of her own mouth loud enough for the mountains to hear.

She looked at the window. Ten meters from the pull-off. She’d looked at that window a dozen times this evening and never once done the math.

“Emilia.” Lukas again. Knuckles white on the arm of the chair.

“What? We should lie? They eat our food, they drink our kirsch, they sleep in our house, and we lie all night?” Her accent thickened with every word. She turned back to Vanitha, hands open, pleading. “I am sorry. We did not mean to watch. But it was... the window is right there, and you were right there, and we could not... ”

“You could have looked away,” Lukas said. His voice cracked on the last word.

“You did not look away either.”

Silence. Fire popped. Vanitha couldn’t breathe.

Beside her Selvam hadn’t moved. She felt the stillness in him like a wall.

“I’m sorry,” Vanitha said. Voice small. “We didn’t know anyone was... we thought we were alone.”

“No.” Emilia leaned forward, urgent. “No, do not be sorry. That is not why I say it.” Cheeks burning now, pink gone to red. “I say it because it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.”

“Emilia.” Lukas stood up.

“It is true!” She looked up at him, then back at Vanitha, then... finally, directly... at Selvam. Her eyes dropped, quick and unashamed, to his lap and back up. “I have never seen a man like you. The way you... for one hour, and you never... ” She made a gesture with her fist that left nothing to interpretation. “And it is so big. I said to Lukas, I did not know they came so big. I did not know it was possible.”

The kirsch, Vanitha thought. The kirsch was talking. Except Emilia’s eyes were clear, and the words kept coming anyway.

“Emilia, stop.” Lukas’s face had gone the color of a slap. “Please. Stop talking.”

“I am only saying... ”

“You are humiliating me.” Quiet. That was the worst part... how quiet it came out, how flat. He set his glass down on the shelf and didn’t look at anyone. “I apologize. For both of us. For watching. For this.” He gestured at the room, at the night, at everything. “The guest room is the door on the left. There are towels in the chest. Goodnight.”

He walked out. A door closed somewhere down the hall... not slammed, just closed, which was somehow worse.

Emilia sat on the floor with her empty glass, staring at the fire.

“I ruin it,” she said softly. “I always ruin it.”

Nobody answered her.

Vanitha sat frozen on the couch. Kirsch turning sour in her stomach. Heat still radiated off Selvam beside her, still and silent as stone. She didn’t dare look at him. If she looked at him she would have to decide what to feel, and she didn’t have that in her right now.

Rain kept hammering the roof. Somewhere down the hall Lukas’s door had gone quiet, which felt worse than if he’d kept slamming things.

Emilia hadn’t moved. Knees drawn up. Empty glass loose in her fingers. Shoulders curled inward, small in a way that didn’t match the woman who’d been laughing at Selvam’s haircut an hour ago.

“You should go to him,” Vanitha said finally. Voice gentler than she expected.

Emilia shook her head without looking up. “He does not want me right now.”

“He’s your... ” Vanitha stopped. She didn’t know the word in this language, in this house, in this particular disaster.

“He is embarrassed. Of me. Of himself. Of everything.” She set the glass down carefully, like it might break. “I always do this. I say the true thing when the polite thing would be better. My mother says I have no floor between my stomach and my mouth.”

Vanitha almost laughed. Caught it. Emilia heard the breath change and looked up. For a second the two of them just looked at each other across the low table... two women who’d both, in their own ways, ruined something today by being exactly what they were.

Selvam shifted beside her. Not much. Just enough that the couch cushion gave under his weight. Vanitha turned because she couldn’t not.

His face gave away nothing. It never did. But she’d learned to read the almost-nothing... the set of his jaw, the particular stillness in his hands where they rested on his knees.

“Emilia,” Selvam said.

Just her name. Vanitha watched him say it. Watched the way Emilia’s head came up from the floor like she’d been waiting for exactly that.

“You didn’t ruin anything. You told the truth in a room full of people too polite to ask for it.”

Emilia’s chin trembled. “Lukas does not think so.”

“Lukas is embarrassed. That’s different from ruined.” Level. The same register he used to close deals. Vanitha felt a strange, unwanted flicker of gratitude that he wasn’t performing outrage, wasn’t performing shame, wasn’t doing anything except stating facts the way he did with everything else.

Vanitha made herself look at Emilia properly. Mascara smudged faintly under one eye. Knees still drawn to her chest, but shoulders down half an inch. Watching Selvam with something that wasn’t quite hope and wasn’t quite fear.

“Can I ask,” Emilia said, hesitant now, testing the ice, “did you know? That we were watching?”

“No.” Vanitha’s voice came out rougher than she wanted. “I didn’t think about the window at all.”

“But you don’t seem... angry. Or ashamed.”

Heat climbed Vanitha’s neck again, because she wasn’t sure that was true. She was ashamed. She could feel it sitting low in her stomach, curdled together with the kirsch and the cheese and the beer. And underneath the shame something else she didn’t want to name in front of a stranger’s fireplace... the thought that a woman had watched her come apart on a car hood and called it beautiful.

“I don’t know what I am right now.”

Emilia nodded slowly, like that was an answer she understood better than most.

Fire popped. Sent a spark against the grate. Down the hall Lukas’s door stayed shut. The silence coming from behind it had a shape that felt like a wound left open.

Vanitha pulled her knees up onto the couch and wrapped her arms around them. Cream turtleneck stretching tight across her back. Looked at the fire instead of at Emilia, because looking at Emilia meant seeing her own shame reflected back, dressed up in someone else’s face.

“I should go check on him,” Emilia said, but she didn’t move. Stayed on the floor, glass empty, staring at the flames like they might tell her what to do.

Rain hadn’t let up. If anything it had gotten heavier. The sound on the roof a steady roar that made the small room feel smaller, sealed, like the four of them were the only people left in the world. Vanitha watched Selvam feed another log into the stove. Watched the muscles in his back shift under his shirt. Felt the ache between her thighs remind her of everything Emilia had seen.

She closed her eyes for a second. Let the fire’s warmth press against her eyelids. When she opened them Emilia was still watching her with that raw, unguarded look, like she was waiting for permission to keep existing in the room.

“I need to talk to him.” Emilia pushed herself up off the floor, unfolding slowly, hand braced against the armchair. Wobbled once... the kirsch, or the weight of everything... and steadied. “I cannot leave it like this. Even if he does not want to hear me.”

Vanitha nodded, not trusting her voice.

Emilia crossed the small room, bare feet silent on the floorboards, and knocked softly on the closed door. “Lukas.”

No answer.

“Lukas, please.”

Still nothing. Vanitha watched the line of Emilia’s shoulders go rigid. Watched her hand stay flat against the wood like she was trying to feel through it for some sign of him. Fire cracked behind her. Selvam had gone quiet at the stove, not looking at either of them, giving Emilia the privacy of pretending no one else was in the room.

The door opened.

Lukas’s face was white. Jaw working like he was chewing on something he couldn’t swallow.

“Not now, Emilia.”

“We can talk in front of them. They already know everything.”

“That’s the problem.” Voice cracked upward. He stepped back into the room like he wanted the door between them again. “You told two strangers I watched you say those things. In our own house. About another man’s... ” He stopped. Started again, quieter, worse. “Do you understand what you did to me tonight?”

“I told the truth.”

“You didn’t have to.” Not quiet anymore. Words came out sharp, German bleeding into the English at the edges. “You could have kept it. Just once. For me.”

Vanitha felt her spine go rigid on the couch. Didn’t move. Kept her eyes on the fire, but her ears tracked every syllable coming down that narrow hallway. Beside her Selvam had gone very still at the stove, poker in hand, not turning around.

“I am sorry,” Emilia said. “I did not think... ”

“You never think. That is exactly the problem, Emilia. You never think before you open your mouth.” Voice climbing, filling the little house, bouncing off the low ceiling. “You sat there and told them I watched. You told them I have never... that in three years I have never... ” He didn’t finish it. He didn’t need to. Vanitha understood exactly what he wasn’t saying.

“Lukas, please, lower your voice... ”

“Why? So the rich man on my couch doesn’t hear that I can’t please my own girlfriend?” A short, ugly laugh. “Too late for that too.”

Vanitha’s stomach turned over. She looked at Selvam. He hadn’t moved, hadn’t turned, poker still resting against the iron door of the stove. But she saw the muscle at the corner of his jaw flex once. That was all.

“Selvam,” she said, low, just for him. “We should go to bed.”

He set the poker down without a sound and looked at her. Whatever was in his face, he didn’t let her see all of it.

Vanitha followed him into the guest room and closed the door. The yelling from down the hall became a low, persistent thrum through the walls. She sat on the edge of the bed as another burst of Lukas’s voice... sharp, guttural... punctuated the silence. Stared at the closed door, at the strip of yellow light beneath it, and didn’t move.
