How do you think of these scenarios man!!! I read and reread these chapters and simply can't get enough of them.. the way you initially portrayed Mithra and how you have justifications for her behavior of being distant is simply extraordinary.. even though it's fiction it feels real.. that is because of how you tie the open questions..  in the middle when you have described Tharun's rough sex with Nikitha (just before her visit to Jay:s village), i thought Tarun has some hidden/secret desire (not in a good way) that we are yet to uncover.. But now it appears no one is a bad character and have little bit of gray that makes them appear complete dark during certain occasions...

Well scripted!!!!

The story was already completed in my mind. Im just compiling in a way like revealing surprises. some hints here and there to connect.

Chapter 146 - Nikitha's move

The days that followed became exhausting and heavy. Nikitha threw herself into her mission with desperate determination. She was ready to do anything to make Tharun hate her — to push him so far away that he would finally return to Mithra, where he truly belonged.

She started with small, sharp attacks. She picked fights over the silliest things — the way he folded clothes, the food he ordered, even the volume of the television.

When Tharun tried to calm her down and asked gently, “Cant you consider words of man who you crazily love?” she looked him straight in the eyes and delivered the cruellest blow she could think of.

“I was never in love with you, Tharun,” she said coldly. “I chose you because I was hurt by Jay. You were just my rebound.”.

The words hung painfully in the air. She wanted him to remember Mithra — the woman who would have done anything for him, who had sacrificed her body, her future, and her peace just to protect him.

Later that same week, when Tharun excitedly spoke about their future — marriage plans and having children — Nikitha struck again.
“I don’t think I want children with you,” she said flatly. “And honestly… I’m not sure I can ever love you fully.”

No matter how harsh her words were, Tharun refused to lose his cool. He stayed composed, patient, and understanding. He gave her space, cooked her favourite meals, and told her he would wait until she “got over her anger.” His calmness only made it harder for Nikitha. Breaking him was proving far more difficult than she had imagined.

Frustrated and running out of options, she decided to use her final weapon — jealousy.

That evening, she casually mentioned that she decided to use the overseas trip tickets, to the UK (or USA) that had to be used within the next two weeks or it would expire. Tharun’s face lit up with hope after a gap of some strange silence.

“Let’s go together,” he said immediately. “It’ll be good for us.”

Nikitha shook her head, her voice laced with deliberate cruelty.

“I won this trip with Jay. It was on our checklist. I think I should go alone… or maybe even with him. We never got to use it properly.”

She watched his reaction closely, hoping this would finally break his patience and trigger the big fight she needed. She had no real intention of going on the trip. Her actual plan was to provoke a massive argument, use the anger as an excuse to pack her bags, and leave for a women’s hostel. Once she was gone, Tharun would have no choice but to confront his real feelings for Mithra.

Tharun stood silently for a long moment, his jaw tight. For the first time, real pain flashed across his face. But instead of shouting, he simply nodded and walked out of the room.

Nikitha sat on the bed, her heart aching.
She hated herself for every word she had spoken.
But in her mind, this was the only way to fix the damage she had caused.

She was ready to burn their relationship to the ground — if that was what it took to set Tharun free.

Seconds later...

Tharun returned to the bedroom. His face looked tired but determined.

“Father finally agreed,” he said quietly. “Mom is still reluctant, but she’ll come around. Looks like Mithra has really moved on.” He let out a deep breath. “Third week from now, we will get married in a simple ceremony. If you still want to go on that trip, plan it early.”

The news hit Nikitha like a shock. She had not prepared for this. While she was desperately trying to push him toward Mithra, Tharun’s father had given approval. The ground beneath her plan was suddenly shifting.

Tharun sat beside her on the bed and took her hand gently. “I know you feel bad for Mithra. But life doesn’t work that way, Nikitha. Don’t sacrifice yourself for the past. Mithra is a good woman. She will find her own happiness. Trust me… I can read you.”
Nikitha’s mind raced. She felt cornered. In her desperation to hurt him and create the final break, she uttered words she never thought she would say.

“I miss sex with Jay,” she said coldly, staring at the floor. “I want to go with him. Spend some nights together. I hope that’s okay with you.”

Tharun froze. The silence was deafening.

“What?” His voice came out low and dangerous. “What the hell did you just say?”
Nikitha kept her expression blank even though her heart was breaking. “You heard me. I miss being with someone who actually made me feel wanted. Not someone I settled for.”

Tharun shot up from the bed, anger flashing in his eyes. “Are you serious right now? After everything — after I chose you, after I fought for us — you want to go sleep with your ex? You’re telling me this to my face?”

“I’m just being honest,” she replied, her voice shaking slightly. “You keep talking about moving on, but I can’t. Maybe I never really did. Jay and I had something real. Physical. Emotional. Everything.”

Tharun’s face twisted with pain and rage. “So all this time I was just a replacement? A rebound you could use until you felt like going back to him? Say it clearly, Nikitha!”
“Yes!” she shouted, tears finally spilling. “Maybe that’s exactly what you were! At least Jay never made me feel like I was destroying someone else’s life!”
The argument exploded. Tharun’s voice rose as years of suppressed emotions came out. Nikitha kept pushing, saying harsher things than she intended, deliberately twisting the knife. After nearly an hour of shouting and tears, she started packing her bags.

“I can’t do this anymore,” she said, zipping her suitcase. “I’m leaving.”

Tharun tried to stop her. “Wait — we’ll figure this out. I’m sorry I got angry. Please don’t go.”

But Nikitha was resolute. She left the house that night and checked into a women’s hostel.
Tharun followed her in his car. When he reached the hostel gate, the security guard stopped him.

“She’s my fiancée,” Tharun said urgently. “Please let me speak to her.”
Before the guard could respond, Nikitha appeared at the entrance. Her eyes were red, but her voice was ice-cold.

“I don’t know him,” she told the security guard firmly. “He’s not my fiancé. Please ask him to leave.”

The guard immediately stepped forward. “Sir, you need to leave. This is a women’s hostel.”
Tharun stood there in complete shock, staring at Nikitha in disbelief. “Nikitha… what are you doing?”

She turned away without another word. The security dragged him out as the gate closed behind him.

Tharun stood outside in the darkness, helpless and broken, watching the woman he loved walk deeper into the hostel.

“I saw them together near the café last week. Tharun looked at her the way he once looked at me. It hurt more than I expected. But I won’t fight. I’ve already lost twice. If I fight and win, I’ll always wonder if he chose me out of guilt. Love shouldn’t be a battle. If he is happy with her, then I will learn to live with this emptiness. Maybe this is my punishment for not being able to love him fully when he needed me.”

Flip it around if these were the thoughts Jay had when he saw Nikita and Jay on bed in their home that night...Probably the reason why he gave divorce first thing next morning.
Will Nikita ever realize that? She is only trying to save Mithra and her love but Mithra's love is a mirror image of Jay's love as well....Who all can she save? I am sure she won't go to Jay on her own even if she loves him deeply...then why the justice only for Mithra? Will Tharun as graciously as Nikita try to unite her with Jay?
So far he trying to save his own love for Nikita but through deception of getting her pregnant which is a violation of love...Did he really think that Nikita would stay with him once she knows the truth even with the baby? If true then he truly never understood Nikita properly and this is all a big mistake from him...
“Because you have emotionally moved out of that phase. You know Jay is a good man. He sacrificed. He loved you. Yet you moved on. The reason is the same as mine. We deserved more, and we chose each other. Let’s try to honor this.”

Question is did they really emotionally move on? If it were true why would Tharun not see eye to eye with Mithra? Because he would see the person he loved and can't face the truth that they are deeply hurt and broken, at least Nikita had guts to face Jay and tell him that she moved on, its too late...If Tharun had done the same he would have got Nikita now but his cowardliness has caused more trauma for Mithra and that guilt shifted from him to Nikita now...

"love that doesn’t come at the right time is not worth it, no matter how many sacrifices were made.”
True but love is also not the same when you try to move on with out closure...in both of their cases, there is no closure....Nikita is learning something new every day about how Jay suffered, how Jay has always loved her, even though she is learning it from Mithra or Sharmi...It proves them that they have not truly understood their partners despite being in the relationship for so long, fault is not entirely them but also on Mithra and Jay who took time to heal...None of them made any effort to claim the love nor to ease the pain for others...Niktia loved Jay but she never understood his side of difficulty in opening up in their relationship and its exactly same for Tharun so its not about timing, its about knowing them truly well...neither of them opened up with other two and tried to express their efforts or love that is hurting them...

Yeah.. But Nikitha was not intimate with Tharun after he replaced the pills with vitamin tablets..

My wild guess:

Nikita will have sex with Jay to show Tharun that she missed sex with Jay as she spoke in their last argument and Tharun moves on to Mithra.. Nikitha takes those pills as she feels she is not worthy of Jay and cannot be part of his life but those pills are vitamins

Also one other observation.. Sharmila tried same things with Nikitha which resulted in an anti climax of Nikitha getting closer to Tharun but when Nikitha tried same things with Tharun, he chose to be patient with Nikitha..

Chapter 147 - Jay's Acceptance.

The drama did not last long.

The very next day at the office, Nikitha had barely stepped out of the elevator when Tharun appeared. Without a word, he grabbed her wrist and dragged her into his private cabin, locking the door behind them.

Before she could protest, he pulled her close and kissed her hard — forceful, desperate, and filled with days of suppressed emotions. When he finally pulled back, he saw fresh tears in her eyes.

“You’re just acting,” he said, breathing heavily. “If you were really done with me, you would have gone straight to Jay’s house, not some hostel. You still have me in your mind… in your heart. Maybe I wasn’t there fully before, but now you’ve let me in. That’s the truth. Otherwise, you would have run to him already.”

Nikitha’s heart pounded. She realised her plan was cracking. Tharun was seeing through her too clearly. If she didn’t act fast, her entire game would lose strength and become pointless.

She wiped her tears and steadied her voice. “I just didn’t have an open talk with Jay yet. I’m visiting his home today. That’s not my home, but… I want to enjoy this trip with him. I’m not leaving you permanently.”

Tharun stared at her, his jaw clenched. He controlled his anger, but his words dripped with mockery. “Keep telling yourself that. You can’t act forever, Nikitha.”

He waited until office hours ended. As evening approached, he stood by his car, expecting her to eventually come to him.

But to his shock, Nikitha walked straight toward Jay’s car in the parking lot.

Jay, who was about to drive off, looked surprised. “Nikitha? What are you doing here?”

She spoke clearly enough for Tharun to hear. “Jay, I need to speak with you. Let’s go home… sorry, your home.”

Jay glanced around, noticing Tharun watching from a distance. He sensed something was deeply wrong. “Nikitha, everything is over between us. There’s nothing to talk about except office matters.”

Nikitha had expected this reply. She knew only one thing would make Jay listen.

Her voice dropped, trembling with fake vulnerability. “I’m in trouble, Jay. I need your help. Please… save me.”

The words hit Jay like a switch. His protective instincts kicked in immediately. Without thinking twice, he unlocked the passenger door.
“Come, sit.”
Nikitha got into the car. As the engine started and Jay’s car began moving, Tharun slammed his fist hard on his steering wheel. The horn blared loudly in the quiet parking lot.
He sat there, breathing heavily, watching the Jay's car  take away the woman he loved — heading toward the house that was once Nikitha’s home too.

Nikitha sat in Jay’s living room — the same room that once felt like home. Jay handed her a glass of water and sat across from her, looking both confused and slightly amused.

“Alright, spill it. What kind of trouble are you in that you had to dramatically jump into my car and say ‘save me’ like a Bollywood heroine?”

Nikitha took a deep breath and launched into the entire story — from meeting Mithra, reading her diary, discovering the selfless sacrifices, to her guilt, and her master plan to make Tharun hate her so he would return to Mithra.

Jay listened with widening eyes. When she finished, he leaned back on the sofa and let out a long whistle.

“So… let me get this straight,” he said, trying hard not to laugh. “You want to sacrifice your relationship with Tharun because you read a diary and decided you’re the villain in someone else’s love story?”

Nikitha nodded earnestly.

Jay rubbed his face. “Three important findings from a diary and suddenly you’re on a mission to destroy your own life? Tharun seemed sincere, Nikitha. You’re overthinking this. Don’t spoil the life ahead of you.”

“But I am the villain!” she insisted. “I need your help, Jay. I don’t want you to actually marry me or anything. I just need you to act. Come with me on that UK trip. Pretend we’re together. Help me make Tharun hate me properly.”

Jay stared at her for a few seconds… then burst out laughing.

“Wait — once you wanted to espcae a marriage and you want me to act like your lover and made me marry you. Now you want me to act like I’m running away with you to break another man’s heart?” He clutched his stomach, still chuckling. “Do I look like a side character in a drama serial? First husband, now fake lover. My career graph is wild and are you some heart breaking specialist? breaking every men's heart?!”

Nikitha groaned. “Jay, please. This is serious!”

“Oh, it’s very serious,” he said, still grinning. “Tomorrow we are flying, you said? Just like that? Madam, I have meetings. I have a job. I can’t just pack my bags and become your co-star in ‘Operation Make Tharun Hate Me’.”

“Please,” she begged, eyes wide and sincere. “I only trust you for this. I won’t ask for anything else. Just act like we’re going on a romantic trip. Post a story or two. That’s all.”

Jay looked at her for a long moment. The playful smile slowly faded. Something in her desperate eyes reminded him of their complicated past — the long journey they had travelled together. Despite everything, she still trusted him this much.

He sighed dramatically. “Fine. I’ll help you. God knows why I’m agreeing to this nonsense.”
Nikitha’s face lit up. “Really?!”

“Yes, really. But I have conditions,” he said, pointing a finger. “One — I’m not pretending to make out with you in front of him. Two — you’re paying for my shopping in UK. Three — if Tharun beats me up, you’re writing my hospital report.”

Nikitha laughed despite herself. “Deal.”

He wont come, he cannot trace my plans, we will just fly UK, take some selfies post it on insta, then i will share a picture of us to him on whatsapp, thats it. We can just roam there and enjoy the holidays?!

Jay shook his head, smiling. “Tomorrow we are flying. Unbelievable. I woke up this morning thinking it was a normal day. Now I’m suddenly your fake boyfriend on a mission to ruin your current relationship. My life has become a comedy show.”

He got up and stretched. “Pack your bags, Drama Queen. We leave tomorrow.”

As Nikitha watched him walk toward the kitchen, Nikitha felt a strange, familiar comfort she hadn’t experienced with Tharun. Tharun had given her everything — physical affection, emotional support, stability — yet she always felt like she was performing, like she wasn’t fully herself in his space. But with Jay, even after all the heartbreak and distance, they immediately clicked back into rhythm. They felt like old soldiers, natural allies who understood each other without needing long explanations.

Her plan was moving forward.
But with Jay as her co-conspirator, she had a feeling things were about to become far more complicated — and unexpectedly entertaining.

That is one way to put it out but not true...

Like every one in real life or in this story, they make choices and very few own their choices and its consequences and try to correct them...

Take for example Tharun, he made an emotional choice at some point in time just like Nikita to move on in his life from his partner and he stuck to it even though its hard for him watching the bond Nikita had with Jay and for a very long time he didn't even know her husband but still gave her time, space to move on...but he himself forgot to move on in his life though decision was made...he tried to downplay his own guilt and tried to rush in to a marriage with Nikita to seal his choice in a certainty.

Nikita did the same, she chose Tharun over Jay even though she knows she loves Jay, even though she knows Jay loves her....why? because she has in her mind moved on from the hurtful state that she has endured for so long in that relationship...her choice was for her own sanity and protection for her heart and future which looked bleak at that point in time.

If we clearly observe....Jay and Mithra are mirror image and Nikita & Tharun are another mirror image in these relationships...what is the difference then, the difference in this whole story is NIKITA.

She owned her choices, she tried to bring peace to her partner and now trying to bring peace to Mithra, in the process she is hurting Tharun now but if true love is intact and Tharun really hasn't moved on from Mithra then her belief that one day Tharun and Mithra will be happy is 100% fact. What Tharun has for Nikita might be love too but it isn't as strong as he has for Mithra over years...that can't be replaced. Nikita realized that hence she is pushing Tharun away...but what she is failing to realize is, the sacrifice she is doing for Mithra holds true for Jay as well...In her case she thinks she made a decision and honoring it with Tharun but she is at the same time says Tharun made a wrong decision? How is that possible, either both Nikita and Tharun made wrong decisions or both made right decisions based on the situations...If Nikita thinks Tharun has to be with Mithra then she also has to realize that she has to go back to Jay to make things right....only one happening is not justice...

Question is, will she make things right for Mithra and in the process lose Tharun but also realize that other side of coin is also true as well and go back to Jay or she will respect Tharun's decision as she respected her own decision....So you see the master weaver HEYGI's story here brought us again to a cross roads where NIKITA needs to decide if her own choice is also wrong or not...owning once choice or making things right...which path is coming our way?

I just loved this Jay character in this chapter... He knows he still loves Nikitha and if he truly wanted he could have done what Tharun did to him with Nikitha making her close to him but he chose those conditions to make her believe he truly moved on (though Nikitha know from Sharmi that Jay didn't move on)..

Sometimes these incidents between Nikitha and Tharun feel like things that happened between Jay and Nikitha in reverse order.. like Tenet movie

Wow Heygi, Simply Wow to your imagination!!!

Chapter 148 - New Place, Old Bond

The flight to London was long, but the atmosphere between Jay and Nikitha felt strangely light. Jay still couldn’t believe he had agreed to this absurd plan. Even after months of separation and heartbreak, Nikitha’s presence had a pull on him stronger than any other woman in his life. He knew they had no future together, yet being around her brought him an odd sense of peace.

Nikitha, sitting beside him, was shivering slightly — not from cold, but from a deep, unfamiliar comfort. With Tharun, she had received every physical and emotional need, yet she always felt like she was acting. With Jay, even after everything, it felt like home. Something inside her had always belonged to him.

As the plane cruised through the clouds, Jay turned to her softly.

“So… if you’re determined that Tharun should marry Mithra, what’s next for you? Have you ever considered your own future?”
Nikitha took a deep breath. “I’ve decided to focus on the property asset case — the one my stepmother forced me to sign during our marriage. Nothing else. I’m done with love for now.”

Jay nodded. “Good.”

“I know what you want to ask,” she continued quietly. “I’m happy with your friendship. It’s enough. I don’t want to spoil your life or any man’s life again. I’ve reached saturation point with love. From now on, I’m going to love myself.”

Jay smiled gently, a mix of pride and sadness in his eyes.

After a moment of comfortable silence, Nikitha said, “Let’s take a selfie. We’ll post it after landing in London. Make the caption sound like a business meeting… but Tharun will know the real reason. He’ll think we’re sleeping together.”

Jay raised an eyebrow. “You are too cruel, you know that?”
He shook his head, amused.

“I shouldn’t be entertaining this… but I can’t say no to you.”

Nikitha smiled. “Is it true? You won’t say no to anything I ask?”

Jay looked at her for a long moment. “Sometimes when I see that determined look in your eyes…
I have no guts to refuse. Even when you wanted to leave me, I could read it without you saying a word.”

Both fell silent. Minutes later, Jay nudged her. “Let’s take that selfie.”

They clicked a few pictures — smiling naturally, heads close — and saved them for later.

After a tiring 12-hour journey, they finally landed in London that evening. They posted the selfie with the caption:

“Business trip reloaded. Old partners, new deals. London, here we come  #WorkMode”

Nikitha hoped Tharun would see it soon.

As they stepped out into the cool London air, Nikitha looked around at the new city and new faces, feeling suddenly lost.
 “I don’t know what to do now…”

Jay gently held her hand. “We’ve lived life for everyone else for too long. For the next few days, let’s live for ourselves. Think of it as a true friendship trip — no drama, no pressure. Just exploring London like old buddies.”

They checked into a decent hotel and shared the same bed that night, but never crossed any line. They stayed up late talking about Mithra’s patience, Tharun’s choices, and how life had twisted their paths. Jay had many questions in his heart, but he kept them buried.

The next day was pure fun.

They started with a classic red bus tour, laughing like children as they pointed at Big Ben and the London Eye. Jay dramatically posed like a tourist in front of Buckingham Palace, making Nikitha laugh until her stomach hurt. They wandered through Covent Garden, ate fish and chips by the Thames, and took silly selfies at Trafalgar Square.

In the afternoon, they visited the British Museum, where Jay pretended to be a serious historian while Nikitha kept teasing him. They ended the day with a relaxing walk in Hyde Park, feeding ducks and sharing ice cream as the sun set.

Throughout the day, their friendship felt effortless — natural, warm, and comforting.

But as they returned to the hotel in the evening, both grew quiet. They looked at each other in the dimly lit room, the same unspoken thought hanging between them:

Did I make a wrong move in life? Shouldn't i tried for a second chance?

The question lingered in the air, heavy and unresolved, as they prepared for another night in each other’s company — friends, yet something much more complicated.

As both hit the bed,
Before either of them could speak, there was a loud knock on the door.

A familiar voice echoed from the hallway — firm, tired, and determined.
“Nikitha… I know you’re in there. Open the door.”

It was Tharun.

“I will stay here until you open this door.”

If Tarun could abandon Mithra who has done so much for him.
Mithra never gave him physical comfort, Nikitha filled up this need.
All Nikitha has done for him is give him comfort and her backside.
Good Luck Nikitha. Good Luck Tharun.
