Chapter 118: Fractured Trust & Silent Deals

Sharmi stood frozen for a few seconds after the uncle stormed out. The door slam still echoed in the house. She had witnessed everything — Nikitha’s bold, almost reckless admission, the uncle’s stunned rage, and Jay’s quiet compliance. Her mind was spinning.

As soon as the uncle’s car disappeared down the street, Sharmi turned toward Nikitha, eyes wide with disbelief and anger.

“What the hell were you thinking, Nikitha?!” she burst out, voice sharp. “Don’t you know this will damage his reputation? What if that man spreads this story in the village? If you want to break things with Jay, fine — do it within these walls. Why drag his relative into it and ridicule Jay in front of him like that?”

Nikitha remained silent, her expression unreadable.

Sharmi turned to Jay, her voice softening with concern. “Jay… I’m sorry. She didn’t look like the kind of person you deserve. She’s poisonous. Look how she just threw you under the bus like that. I came here to take care of you, but standing in the same place as her disgusts me. A part of me wants to leave right now… but another part feels bad for you. I feel restless leaving you with her. Just be careful, okay? Call me anytime you need anything. My house is always open for you. My husband is an understanding person.”

Jay gave her a tired but grateful smile. “Thank you, Sharmi. This is my place. I won’t leave Here..”
Okay understandable, stay here. But just answer my question Jay, she is throwing mud on you before your relative, cant you stop it and defend youself that she is lying.

Jay looked at her and said, she never asked me anything so far, this is the first thing she asked me, how could i not do that.

Sharmi looked at him with pity and frustration, then glanced back at Nikitha.
“She is actually asking for your life, Jay. That’s what she wants. Beware.”

With that, Sharmi left, the door closing behind her with a heavy click.
The house fell into complete silence.

Nikitha didn’t bother responding to Sharmi’s outburst. She simply looked at Jay for a moment, then said quietly, “Thank you, Tharun,” before walking toward the door with her phone already to her ear. Jay assumed instantly who she was calling.

He didn’t say anything. He simply went back to his place on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Later that evening, Nikitha returned with grocery bags. She moved around the kitchen quietly, preparing dishes, while Jay was flodded with thoughts, he could not believe how Nikitha had thrown him before Sudagaran. Hours later, his thoughts was disturbed by nice aroma, smell of cauliflower soup and ginger chicken. The familiar smells filled the house, stirring old memories.

When dinner was ready, she gently called out, “Jay, dinner is ready.”

They sat across from each other. Jay looked at the carefully prepared food, then at her face.
“Why are you cooking something special like this?” he asked quietly. “What do you want?
Why are you suddenly nice to me?”

Nikitha served him calmly. “I just thought of cooking something special. Nothing else.”
Jay’s voice was low but pointed. “Do you do this on purpose so that my parents will look out for a new bride for me?”

Nikitha paused, then met his eyes. “If that was my intention, instead of instigating that, I would have asked you for a divorce, we need that before looking out a bride for you.”

Jay stared at her.

Then looking at him, Nikitha said... “As you bring up that topic… we must proceed that too as soon as possible.”

“No,” Nikitha said firmly. I don’t want anything to do with divorce right now.”
Ask me anything but not this.

Nikitha asked "Ask you anything?
Jay looked at her and said. “Whatever you want except Divorce..”
Nikitha thought for a second and said. “Go to your village next week for the function.”

Jay’s expression hardened. “Why do you want me to get humiliated there too?”
Nikitha looked at him steadily. Think positive,  trust that something good will happen to you.

He looked like lost in deep thought investigating the new request.
Nikkitha said,  I won’t ask for divorce for some time if you do this.”

Jay was silent for a long moment, struggling to understand her intent.
Finally, he nodded, when he realised she wont stress about divorce for sometime he said, “Then it’s a deal.”

The silence that followed was heavy. Both of them ate without looking at each other, each lost in their own thoughts — wondering how much longer this complicated dance could continue.

Simple and easy would be to out it on Tharun and blame to make him a villain but I do not think that's the plan..
Anjali is another option which doesn't impact much in this triangle relationship but would prove to Nikita Jay is innocent...

My go to plan would be either Mithra through some one else maybe thorough Anjali planned to separate Tharun and Nikita to save her love...or Jay himself wrote it to make Nikita hate and free her from the burden she was carrying at that time as he saw despite caring for him through fever she was struggling with duty and wife responsibilities. He might have put an act with Sharmi but he save Nikita from himself there by putting the most selfless act to prove his love...

One of these should would suit well.

Do not think it was Jay. Nikita tells him "some one may have seen her and Tharun kissing.
It appeared he did not know.

Brother, your writing is amazing, no doubt about it. The way this story started, I thought maybe I was going to see something different this time. Joy seemed like a fighting boy in the beginning. But now it turns out that he is a loser husband like in the previous stories. What happens when you accept defeat so easily? Some countermeasures and steps should be taken.

Chapter 119: Slipping Truths & New Requests

The immediate next day was Nikitha’s turn to stay home with Jay.

From the moment she woke up, something felt different for Jay. She moved around the house with a quiet familiarity, preparing kanji with ginger, helping him wipe his face with warm water, changing his clothes with gentle care. It was almost like the old days, before the walls had gone up between them. She even started small conversations — asking how he slept, whether the pain in his elbow had reduced, reminding him to take medicines on time.

Jay noticed it all. For the first time in many days, she was being herself around him again. The cold distance had softened. She no longer avoided casual talk. But instead of relief, Jay felt a strange unease. He kept guarding himself.

Don’t give me hopes, Nikki, he thought bitterly. The irony was painful — he had once wanted to fight for her, to pull her back from Tharun. But now that she was showing closeness again, fear gripped him. What if this has some intention behind it?

During lunch, as she served him lunch, he finally spoke.

“I don’t know if I should be happy that you’re acting normal again… or fear that you have some reason behind it.”

Nikitha looked at him, spoon paused mid-air. “Why do I look strange to you now?”
Jay met her eyes, voice low but honest. “After your cold distance for so many days… after you threw me under the bus when Sudhagaran came… and now the soup, the ginger chicken, your sudden care, your new request about the village… I can’t stop doubting your intentions.”

Nikitha stared at him for a moment, then let out a soft, almost bitter laugh.
She composed herself and said quietly, “We once agreed that ‘If we don’t meet a proper better half… even if we have affairs outside, our friendship and understanding will safeguard our relationship. We would crawl back without ego.’”

She paused, her voice turning heavier.

“After recent developments… I’m not sure if we can be like that anymore. The emotions around us have complicated everything and destroyed the friendship. Like you said… we should not have loved each other. The moment I realised there was love between us… everything collapsed.”

Jay caught the word instantly. His eyes sharpened.
“So… Do you agree that we had love?”

Nikitha realised her careless slip. She looked down at her plate for a second, then said softly, “Yes… I would put it that way. If not for love, you would not have suffered like this… and I would not have either.” It's better to agree and move on.

Jay’s heart twisted. He leaned forward slightly. “If you realise there was love… then why did you choose Tharun?”

Nikitha looked at him, but didn’t respond immediately. The question hung heavy between them. Jay urged gently, “Why do you think you are obligated to him just because you had sex? See… it’s nothing to me. All I need is you.”

Nikitha’s eyes flashed with guilt and discomfort. “Wait… wait, Jay.”

She stood up abruptly, leaving half her food untouched. “It’s not just sex. I love him. I chose him. It was way before I realised you were in love too. It’s better for us this way.

“You know why I was cold before? Because of this. I genuinely want to continue our good friendship. I fear what if your feelings cause me discomfort that would break my friendship with you. I have no one except you till Tharun comes in. I don’t want to miss you. I still want to be in your life. I want us to be the old us — the friends before love.

At least that phase… will it work?”

Jay smirked, but there was no humor in it — only pain and exhaustion.

“What kind of friend do you refer to, Nikitha?” His voice was quiet but sharp. “Which friend will agree to marry someone in distress? Which friend would shower all the love through sex? Which friend would get into an affair with someone, just to safeguard one? Which friend would take the blame for the disgusting letter he never wrote?”

He looked straight at her, eyes burning.

“Everything I did… not because I thought you were a friend. It’s because I thought you were my woman.”

The words landed like stones. Nikitha stood frozen for a second, unable to meet his gaze. The weight of his pain, his love, his sacrifice — it all crashed over her at once. She turned away from the table, unable to face him any longer.

She walked toward the kitchen sink, her back to him, trying to steady her breathing. The silence between them was deafening.

The night passed in the same quiet routine - food, care, medicine.

Nikitha moved around the house with quiet efficiency, serving Jay his dinner, reminding him to take his medicines, and adjusting the pillows behind his back so he could sit comfortably. She gave him space, speaking only when necessary, but the weight of her own words from lunch pressed heavily on her chest. Every glance at Jay’s tired face replayed the pain in his eyes when she had said she loved Tharun. The guilt was suffocating.

She wanted to talk to Tharun - to hear his calm voice, to feel his steady presence — but she stopped herself. He was already covering her workload after office hours, staying late into the night to finish reports and proposals so she could focus on Jay. Disturbing him now felt selfish.

She couldn’t sleep.

Lying beside Jay in the dim light, she stared at the ceiling, replaying the lunch conversation again and again. His pained expression. His quiet accusation. His words about which friend i refer to, the sacrifices he made.

as the words kept repeated in her ears, that's when she noticed it.

“Which friend would take the blame for the disgusting letter he never wrote?”
Jay didn’t write it.

She had known it deep down — a quiet instinct she had ignored not because of anger, because it came from Jay's mouth. But when the same Jay utters exactly opposite way, hearing it from his own mouth, seeing the exhaustion and honesty in his eyes, made it undeniable.

I knew it. I knew it, she whispered to herself in the darkness. She realised not just Tharun, that day Jay too decided to take blame to protect her Name. Indeed at the end it was Jay whose name got damaged.

Ever since the mirror discovery at Tharun’s apartment, a part of her had wanted to treat Jay with dignity — like the old friend he had once been. But she realised now that trying to force their friendship back to how it was would only complicate everything further, especially after how he had responded. The love, the hurt, the memories — they were all tangled too deeply.

She decided she would stay distant, but she still wanted him to have everything he deserved. She would orchestrate it from afar - making sure he was cared for, supported, and protected. Clearing his name from the letter was the first step. She couldn’t let him carry that false blame any longer.

Nikitha turned slightly on the bed, careful not to wake him. In the quiet darkness, a new resolve settled over her. She would help him. She would fix what she could. And then… she would finally let go.

But even as she made that silent promise, her heart ached with the weight of it all.

Won’t Tharun’s gf blame Nikki to have taken her bf away….as Jay would blame Tharun for taking away his wife….

What honour or love is breaking a family. Even when Tharun didn’t know that Jay was Nikki’s husband….he did know she was
married.

Few statements of author, if I read them correctly. It was easier to get her in my bed….but difficult to get me into her heart…or something of that sort…shows his true intentions of breaking her family for his gains.

I feel that’s not love. That’s possessiveness. Far more dangerous. He may give her space, calm her down for now…but what’s his ulterior motive…break her family…even if he has to let go of his gf. That statement…on their first night together…my rules in bed…even when she said she was hurting….shows his love for her…
I feel there’s some play to that.

Hyegi has kept small little hints…in every part …(that’s what I feel) which would be revealed later….to end this fantastic saga….

Chapter 120: The first unnoticed distraction.

The next morning, when Sharmi arrived for her shift, Nikitha left for the office without much conversation.  As soon as she reached the office, she didn’t waste a single second. Her steps were hurried, almost urgent, as she made her way straight to Tharun’s cabin.

The moment she stepped inside, she closed the door behind her and locked it with a soft click. Without saying a word, she walked straight into Tharun’s arms and hugged him tightly, burying her face against his chest.

Tharun was caught off guard. He could feel the tension in her body — the way her fingers clutched his shirt, the slight tremble in her shoulders. Something was clearly off. He wrapped his arms around her without hesitation, one hand gently stroking her back while the other held the back of her head.

He didn’t ask anything right away. He simply held her, letting her breathe, letting her warm herself in his embrace. He could sense the emotional storm she was carrying — the weight of guilt, confusion, and exhaustion. In recent days, he had been covering a lot of her work too, staying late to finish reports so she could focus on Jay. Last night had left him drained, but the moment she walked in, all of that faded. Her needs came first.
After a long, silent minute, Nikitha finally pulled back slightly, still staying close in his arms. Her eyes were tired but determined.

“I need two things from you,” she said, voice low.
Tharun looked down at her, brushing a strand of hair from her face. “Tell me.”
“First… we should reschedule our Cochin trip.”
Tharun raised an eyebrow but didn’t interrupt.
“And the second?”

“We must find the real culprit who wrote that letter to HR.”
Tharun frowned. “Wasn’t it Jay who wrote it?”
“No,” Nikitha said firmly.

Tharun studied her face for a long moment. “What happened? Did he do some drama that you believed him. after he himself agreed he wrote it?”
Nikitha raised her hand and gently placed it over his mouth, silencing him.
“Just listen to me. I hope you trust me. Jay didn’t do this.”

Tharun removed her hand slowly, but his eyes remained locked on hers. He could see the conviction in her gaze. Something about her belief in Jay’s innocence alarmed him — not out of jealousy, but because it showed how deeply their history still ran.
He leaned back slightly, still holding her close.

“I promise I will help you,” he said sincerely. “But I demand to know the full story. Why is this so important now? Your hug tells me a huge story…what bugged you... you look distressed.”

Nikitha looked into his sincere, worried eyes. She took a deep breath.
“It’s not the place,” she whispered. “Let’s go to our home.”

Tharun let out a soft, amused chuckle. “You would shuffle me as you wish between two homes and one office. I have to work round the clock…” He teased her gently, then smiled. “Nothing is more important than what you want.”

She smiled back, the moment they entered car, Nikitha had said everything, everything including the Mirror moment. She wanted to be honest and open atleast to one heart, and she choose Tharun. But she doesn't know Mirror moment had sent a different message to him.

Thirty minutes after every story landed in his ear, they entered Tharun’s apartment. The moment the door was shut, Nikitha hugged him from behind, resting her cheek against his back. I’m sorry for hurting you,” she murmured.

Tharun turned around and pulled her into his arms. “Even if you lied about loving me to Jay… I’m happy with that lie.”

They looked at each other for a long moment. The tension, the guilt, the unspoken feelings — everything melted into a deep, sensual kiss. Their lips moved slowly at first, tender and exploratory, then with growing hunger. Tharun’s hands roamed her back, pulling her closer as the kiss turned passionate and rich with emotion. Their tongues danced, tasting each other deeply, breaths mingling in soft, needy gasps.

The wall clock that read 11:10 AM slowly turned to 12:20 PM.

Both lay naked on the bed, bodies glistening with sweat. What started as passionate quickly became intense. Tharun was on his back, breathing heavily. Nikitha had been riding him with desperate need, her hips grinding down in long, sensual strokes. But somewhere in the middle, her mind had drifted.

Even as Tharun thrust up into her, filling her completely with every powerful stroke, Nikitha’s thoughts wandered. She was distracted, The guilt twisted inside her even as pleasure coursed through her body. She moved on autopilot, her moans soft but distant, her eyes half-closed as her mind stayed with Jay.

[Image: 745855565_emmy_rossum_nude_sex_scene_fuc...151231.gif]

Tharun noticed. He gripped her hips tighter and suddenly sat up, pulling her closer. In one swift motion, he flipped their positions, laying her on her back and thrusting deeper. He leaned down and captured one of her full breasts in his mouth, sucking hard before biting down on her sensitive nipple — not enough to hurt, but enough to send a sharp jolt of pleasure through her.

“Ahh—!” Nikitha gasped, her body arching violently as the bite pulled her back into the moment. The sting mixed with pleasure brought her focus crashing back to him.

Tharun smirked against her skin, biting the other breast with the same intensity, his hips never stopping their deep, rhythmic pounding. “Stay with me, baby,” he growled, voice husky. “Don’t go anywhere.”

Nikitha moaned loudly, her hands gripping his shoulders as she finally surrendered to the sensation. For the next several minutes, Tharun fucked her with raw, passionate strokes — deep, steady, and possessive. Their bodies slapped together, wet sounds filling the room as he drove into her again and again.

When he felt himself getting close, he pulled out and moved up her body. Nikitha, still breathing heavily, slid down between his legs. She rested her head on his stomach, looking up at him with hazy eyes. Tharun held his thick, throbbing cock in his hand, stroking it slowly, the swollen head glistening with her juices and his precum.

He guided it toward her mouth. “Open for me…”

Nikitha parted her lips obediently. Tharun tapped the heavy head against her tongue a few times, then slowly pushed inside. She took him in, sucking gently at first, then with more hunger as he began to stroke himself faster. Her head stayed resting on his stomach, eyes looking up at him as he fucked her mouth with his hand guiding his cock.

Tharun groaned deeply, his free hand tangling in her hair. He shook his cock gently, letting the head rub against her tongue and lips, coating them with precum. Nikitha moaned around him, the vibration sending shivers through his body. He kept stroking, faster now, the wet sounds of her mouth mixing with his heavy breathing.

Finally, with a low, guttural groan, Tharun came hard. Thick ropes of hot cum erupted into her mouth. Nikitha took every drop, swallowing as much as she could while some leaked from the corners of her lips. Tharun kept stroking himself through the orgasm, milking the last few spurts onto her tongue, watching with dark satisfaction as she took it all.

When he finally finished, he pulled back slightly, breathing hard. Nikitha lay there, head still on his stomach, lips shiny and swollen, a small trail of cum dripping down her chin.

Even though they were both still recovering, Nikitha’s mind was elsewhere. She had come here to tell him everything, to plan how to find the real culprit — but the session had consumed an hour without any progress.

Tharun noticed her distant expression. He also remember she got distracted when they were in the middle. He gently stroked her hair and asked, “You look lost, darling. What are you thinking?”

She looked at him, still catching her breath. “Nothing…”

Tharun smiled, his hand sliding down her back. His hardness hadn’t fully left. He pulled her closer into a hug and whispered teasingly, “You’re mastering the cowgirl position, huh? How about round two?”

She smiled softly, but shook her head. “No… Let’s stop here. Let’s spend our time catching the person behind this letter.”
Tharun looked at her for a moment, then kissed her deeply one last time before they both got up to get ready for the rest of the day.

No one, both are business department, they would easily tell they went to check for new client or something, their job nature often has often travel. We had a chapter explaining roles and responsibilities. May be you guys missed it.

And the floor they moved now has none, just two of their cabins, as from HR to other top tier rank workers moved to different building, even this was mentioned twice to thrice in old chapters.

"Nikkitha realized Jay's love only when she had a sexual relationship with Tharun."

"Nikkitha is trying to maintain a good relationship with Jay. She felt hurt and saddened after Jay expressed all his feelings."

"When she is with Jay, she longs for Tharun. When she is with Tharun, she longs for Jay. After Jay revealed the whole truth, she went to Tharun and had a sexual relationship with him. What kind of state of mind is this?"

What about the refreshment day's award that won by Jay and Nikkita together i.e. US/UK tour? Was it encashed? Is it forgotten? Is it irrelevent? Am I sound harsh? I am just want to know.

Is finding out who the letter that important or the events that unravel during the process really determines where Nikitha's heart really lies ? Beautiful descriptive writing that doesn’t hold back. The use of sensory details made the setting feel vivid. Sorry for bringing this up again but Nikitha is kinda giving a full on Mirna vibes. Or is it i am still hungover the character. Thank you for an absolute surreal experience. You are a master weaver.
