That's not true, He was a pig, and insensitive wart agreed but he never was a male chauvinist.
If he thinks like that he wouldn't say to Sharmi that he is ok with Nikita coming back even after sleeping with Tharun, he doesn't care about physical, he cares only about her love.
He made a mistake one night out of jealousy and behaved lousily and lost her and taking the consequences from then, but his heart is in right place. Some times people behave badly out of spite, if Jay trying to own Nikita when he saw Tharun kissing her is a mistake then Nikita slapping Jay when she saw him with Anjali is also a mistake...she has no right to hit him...though she covered that as trying to protect their identity we all know it came from spite and jealousy.
At this point, Jay should not try anything...if he tries anything it will only Nikita more and she will get closer to Tharun and take his strength to fight back, he just needs to sacrifice his love and let her go...she deserves true love and if she truly loves Jay, she will come back and if not then Tharun is the guy. Fighting over and over will only make things complicated for Jay.

And that love triangle is going to be massy soon, because it is just the interval.

Get a move on Nikita. Get real. Make up your mind once for all. No procrastinating. Any decision she takes has even chances of being right or wrong.
If Tarun is your future — GOOD LUCK.
I still think whoever gets Nikita will get a hand full.
She is childish, immature un communicative and now stubborn

I understand the frustration lol
But you have to get the soul of this story....its a story of a husband and wife who never expressed love and realized their love for each other even though destiny brought them together...one is crying over lost chance and other is moving on to find true love outside the home. Love is existing between them already, For Jay its too late but he is trying, for Nikita she doesn't want to trust it anymore after years of waiting on it patiently. Over all its a journey of how this couple find their way back to each other and find true love. If Tharun truly can provide that love and its already written in Author's mind then he will be the guy nothing can stop it till the end but true love should win not adjusting emotions overnight, that shouldn't happen...

Chapter 112: Mundane Week, Emotional Distance, New Love and the Arrival of Unwanted guest
The days that followed were a strange mix of routine and emotional warfare.
Nikitha had taken leave for consecutive days to take care of Jay. On the first day back, she struggled badly. Every small act — helping him sit up, giving him medicine, cooking for him — brought waves of guilt and memories. But Tharun’s words from the previous night echoed in her mind, giving her the strength to push through. By the second day, she had steeled herself. She remained attentive and caring toward Jay, but her emotions were locked away behind a calm, composed mask.
To make her long absence along with Jay medical leave have no connection Sharmi and Tharun coordinated a careful plan at the office, As a part of it, it has been decided between the three that Nikitha will stay 4 days in a week at home and Sharmi will take care of Jay in an alternate days like, rest of 3 days.
On the third day, that's the first day Nikitha returned to the office while Sharmi took leave and went to Jay’s house to help monitor him.
Nikitha had loads of work, but her mind wavered only back to the house. Tharun had seen that, he knew she had been thinking about Jay even when she was here, he took it as his duty to make her forget him. He felt like she was destroying herself for no reason. He believed he must be someone who should guide her to light.
He walked around her cabin, he genuinely helped her work on a few approvals, he even surprised her by finishing some works on her behalf and pinned a note on her desk. NIkitha felt pain thinking about Jay, but on other hand, she was genuinely happy to see Tharun making his best efforts to calm her, support her, in every possible way.
For the first time in a long time, she genuinely thought about a future with Tharun, she believed her life will be good with such a heart, she wished if Jay can get someone understanding like tharun, she would happily move on.
By noone, she got a message from Tharun, Come to My Cabin Now!
Nikitha’s heart skipped as she made her way to his private cabin on the executive floor. The moment she stepped inside, Tharun locked the door behind her. Without a word, he pulled her into the attached bedroom — the same private space where they had once shared a long, breathless kiss marathon weeks ago.
He didn’t waste time. He backed her against the wall, capturing her lips in a deep, hungry kiss. His hands roamed freely — one sliding under her top to caress the warm skin of her waist, the other cupping the back of her neck. Nikitha responded with equal passion, her fingers threading through his hair as she pulled him closer. Their bodies pressed together, fitting perfectly like two pieces that belonged.
They kissed like a real couple who were in love… slow and sensual at first, then growing more urgent. Tharun’s mouth moved from her lips to her jaw, then down to her neck, leaving soft, lingering kisses that made her shiver. He whispered between kisses, his breath hot against her skin, “I miss you every single second you’re not with me… I keep thinking about you at his house. Come here.”
Nikitha melted completely, letting out soft sighs as she kissed him back with growing confidence. She pushed him gently toward the bed and climbed onto his lap, straddling him as their kisses turned deeper, wetter, and more possessive. For nearly fifteen minutes, they lost themselves in each other — touching, caressing, and devouring one another with the ease and comfort of lovers who had already crossed many lines.
When they finally pulled apart, both breathing heavily, Tharun rested his forehead against hers
And said I cant wait for the day when i officially Marry you.
This become the new routine for next few days, Nikitha and Sharmi, Stayed at Jay place on Alternate days.
Every time Nikitha prepares to leave for the office. During those days, Tharun made sure Nikitha didn’t feel alone. He started small but meaningful routines that made her feel cherished. Every morning, he would pick her up from Jay’s house and take her out for breakfast at a quiet café near the office. He doesn't care, if Jay hates too see him in morning, he just comes there to home for Nikitha. They would sit across from each other, talking about random things — her favorite songs, funny office stories, or silly memories from their early days. Tharun would listen attentively, making her laugh with his dry humor, and always remind her gently, “You’re not alone in this. I’m right here.”
During lunch hours, he would take her to his cabin with the attached bedroom. Instead of just passion, they shared warm, intimate moments. Sometimes they would lie on the bed facing each other, talking softly about their future plans. Other times, he would pull her close and kiss her slowly, deeply, and lovingly — long, sensual kisses that left her breathless and smiling. He would caress her back, play with her hair, and whisper assuring words between kisses, making her feel safe, desired, and loved.
In the evenings, after office hours, Tharun would drop her back at Jay’s house. Before she got down from the car, he would hold her hand, look into her eyes, and say, “You’re doing incredibly well. I’m so grateful for how strong you’re being. Just remember — this is temporary. Our real life together is waiting.”
These small moments, breakfast dates, private lunches, warm conversations, and gentle kisses, made Nikitha feel like they were already a real couple. They gave her the emotional fuel she needed to continue caring for Jay with grace.
By the end of 8 days, Nikitha had gained significant inner strength. She no longer felt like she would break at every glance from Jay. On the fifth day, she took him for a follow-up check-up. The scans came back clear, but the doctors advised another full week of complete rest.
When Nikitha drove him back from Hospital, he looked at her, her posture, her confidence, all made her look like someone new out there, Jay was quietly disappointed.
No matter what he tried, nothing seemed to shake Nikitha’s calm resolve.
In the mornings, he would speak softly about old memories — the times they cooked together, the late-night talks, or how they supported each other during tough times. He hoped it would melt her heart. Nikitha would listen politely, sometimes even smile faintly, but she never let the conversation go deeper. She would gently steer it back to practical things: “Take your medicine after breakfast” or “The doctor said you shouldn’t strain your elbow.”
During the day, when he tried emotional appeals — telling her how empty the house felt without her warmth, like when Sharmi was here in her place — she would stay composed. She wouldn’t argue or get angry. Instead, she would respond with kind but firm detachment: “Let’s focus on your recovery first. Be glad you had friends to help you” Her eyes remained soft, but the emotional wall she had built was unmistakable, he felt like he became a popular internet meme word, - Husband got Friendzoned.
Even in silence, when he would simply look at her with longing while she helped him change his bandages or adjust his pillows, she would avoid meeting his gaze for too long. Her touch was careful and caring, but it lacked the tenderness it once held. Even on Day 1, When they returned from Mumbai, he felt that, but in the past few days it was missing. There was no lingering of fingers, no soft smiles, no quiet comfort she used to offer so naturally.
She was kind — extremely kind — but emotionally distant.
It was as if she had drawn a clear line in her heart. She would fulfill her duty of taking care of him, but she refused to let him back into the space where she had once loved him freely.
Jay could feel it deeply. Every polite smile, every measured response, and every time she pulled away emotionally confirmed what he feared most: Nikitha had truly started moving on.
Jay had almost lost all hope.
After days of watching Nikitha’s calm, polite but emotionally distant behavior, the truth had finally settled deep in his bones. No matter how softly he spoke, how vulnerable he tried to appear, or how long he stayed silent hoping she would reach out — she remained kind, but far away. The wall she had built felt impenetrable.
The second week began on Wednesday. It was now Sharmi’s turn to take over the caregiving shift so Nikitha could return to the office full-time.
That evening, while Sharmi was helping Jay with his dinner — carefully feeding him spoonfuls of soup since moving his injured arm was still painful — the doorbell rang.
Sharmi stood up and opened the door. A middle-aged man stood outside — well-dressed in a crisp shirt, authoritative in his posture, and visibly shocked to see a woman who wasn’t Nikitha inside the house.
Jay’s face went pale the moment he recognized him.
It was his maternal uncle — the same man who had instigated much of the family pressure and drama against him in the past. The man who had always looked down on him and used every opportunity to shame him in front of the extended family.
The uncle stepped inside without waiting for an invitation, his sharp eyes scanning the living room with clear confusion and disapproval.
“What is happening here?” he demanded, voice loud and accusatory. “Just a few hours ago, I saw another man taking your wife in his car from the medical shop… and now I find you here with some other woman?”
Jay froze. His heart began hammering violently in his chest. He saw them. He saw Tharun taking Nikitha in his car?!. The thought made his stomach churn with dread. He didn’t know how they had appeared in front of his uncle — like colleagues, or worse, like a real couple? He didn’t know whether he should agree to the truth or spin a desperate lie to save face. What if his uncle already know the truth and had come specifically to mock him? To rub salt on his already bleeding wounds
His uncle continued, raising an eyebrow with clear suspicion and a mocking tone, “Did you two get divorced already and you remarried so quickly?”
Jay felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead. The unexpected arrival of this man from his past brought a sudden, crushing tension into the house. If his uncle learned the full truth — the convenience marriage, Nikitha’s relationship with Tharun, the separation — he would certainly use it as ammunition. He would spread it across the entire family, shame Jay publicly, and turn it into another weapon to prove that Jay had failed again.
Sharmi stood awkwardly beside Jay, unsure how to handle the situation. Jay, still recovering and emotionally drained, could only stare at his uncle in silent dread.
The past had come knocking at the worst possible time.
Jay thought bitterly, That’s it. My face is going to be buried in the dust today.
But just as the silence grew unbearable, the sound of a car horn echoed from outside along with a sharp, persistent creech sound like something rubbing the road... sharp, persistent, and strangely timely.
When the sound stopped, there appeared a face that carried the missed tenderness, the kindness that gave him assurance like always: “I’m here to save you.” What happened on Wednesday? Why is there such a change all of a sudden? Jay's heart swelled with overwhelming emotion.

Not sudden change..she is genuinely back to help him, She knows Jay's obligations and they both initially caused it so she is back to help him...I do not think anything changes in terms of relationship.
Lot of things moving fast between Tharun, Nikita and Jay....all mechanically working through the process of recovery. Once recovery is done divorce is imminent, will it happen? If it does, then it will give clarity to Jay that he should move on....
One thing that is troubling me is Tharun and his side of things... With Nikita, we are reading her side a lot, we know she is exiting this marriage with dignity and fulfilling her side of things graciously..but I cannot say the same for Tharun...he pursued Nikita for sex, intimacy then fell in love with her, slept with her and now ready to get married but only a text to his lover which is pathetic and not at all heroic like he is behaving here with Nikita...Itys cowardice when one breaks up with a text and cheats his girlfriend like that...
His side of explanation that he never got anything in return from her in being in that relationship but we saw that he didn't invest much either after he joined this company. So is he the Jay in Mithra's life? I seriously thinks so and for some reason I think Mithra is not at fault here....

Excellent writing, story is fast paced now as you promised. I felt few incoherence in writing earlier few dialogues teasing readers based on comments but recent chapters were top notch

After Tharun sent that breakup text, he casually planned to meet her at the clinic like he was booking a doctor's appointment. I don't see any reaction from Mithra either. It feels like she's either already moved on, or she's just his imaginary girlfriend. How do people who've been in a long-term relationship take a breakup so casually?
If Nikki breaks any hearts it's Nikkitha Jay Sharmila Tharun. Sharmi is more invested in their relationship than Mithra. Sharmi whether did good or bad took it on herself became Organizer to help them.

How do you know Mithra took it casually? Imagining things here my friend? As far as what Author showed us she didn't see that text that night, maybe she did next morning but if Author doesn't bring her and their story yet we wouldn't know the reactions or how much Mithra is investing in this relationship and other side of it, maybe its not the time yet to reveal those details but do not jump to conclusions. My comments are on Tharun which we see here clearly not on Mithra which we do not know at all...

One thing I can say is when Author's write story they have roles for every character and their behavior, I have never written anything so totally inexperienced but I visualize and try to understand the nature of characters, as and when their story is revealed my conclusions change too as we get more insights but clearly we can see that story is not about whose fault it is now but rather who corrects wrong and take righteous path of love.
Did Tharun did right in his love story to get Nikita is yet to be seen..
Will Jay correct his mistakes about his thought process about woman, what is he learning from this experience? Can he promise good life for Nikita and remove himself graciously?- Whether he gets Nikita or not but he needs to correct himself for next relationship else this will repeat...
Nikita needs to correct her mistakes as well, she needs to trust her heart always not totally depend on promises and commitments...all her life she is hell bent on fulfilling promises but it did not leave anything for her but grief now she is getting entangled into more promises with out resolving her heart and feelings, locking them away would not solve the issue, same mistake with different person...Love is not an object that can be shifted to another person, hope she realizes it soon....

Sharmi the character has a dedicated story line, she has a reason to hide it, she and her husband trying for kids and to avoid constant question on kids, she avoid telling about her marital status, and people are judgmental even Nikitha look out for mangalsutra in neck and metti in toe and assume she was un married, with Sharmi being name used in cross cultures, it made natural for people to assume she is unmarried, so no questions arise and she is not obliged to tell anyone.
I had a chapter but i scrapped it as i feel its too prolonged one, it goes like Sharmi and Jay coming out of hospital, like Jay know about her medical issues and he take her to a known doctor who could solve her problem, and Nikki seeing them and think they were in affair, looking at hospital name, she think otherwise, i completely removed this chapter and angle, these happens before business trip, as i wanted to play more with feelings or emotions than situational misunderstandings.
This is how when we write characters they always have purpose and a back story, even naming them have a purpose. If i had used a name Jennifer , Nikki would have asked are you married. Using Sharmila a name used in common, she thought otherwise. Authors liberty to make them deliver a point :)

My prediction? Mythiri* (MITHRA) will completely change the dynamics. Tharun has been cruising without facing a real test. Nikki's words still echo: "No one can be a saint." I think Mythiri will be the one who pushes Tharun to his limits and reveals his true colors.
