Chapter 90 - Lingering Venom


Gowtham sat in the training room, staring blankly at the projector screen. The new batch of trainees — fresh faces eager to learn — had been waiting for nearly a week. He had given one lame excuse after another: system issues, client emergencies, sudden meetings. In reality, his mind was miles away, consumed by a single obsession.

Sneha.

Every day he thought about her, fantasizing about twisted sessions that would make her completely his. He was blinded by these thoughts even at the office. Irritated by his lack of attention, two women from the trainee group had complained to the company head.

Today had gone over the limit. He was totally distracted because of the morning events. Sneha had said no sex until she got clarity from Suresh, and he himself had declared he wouldn’t ask for it until she realized he wasn’t wrong. He had been planning his next scheme to lure and manipulate her back into bed.

That bitch Sneha thinks she can set rules? I’ll make her my cock slut.
I’ll break her so completely she’ll beg for me even when Suresh is in the next room.

The sound of the door opening snapped him out of his dark fantasy. 
The company head, Mr. Prakash, walked in with a stern expression, followed by two senior managers.
“What’s the status of the new trainee batch, Gowtham?” Mr. Prakash asked directly. “Any improvement? Development reports?”

Gowtham fumbled for words. Before he could answer, his immediate boss cut in sharply.
“What the hell have you been doing all week? These trainees are sitting idle while you give excuses! The management is watching this batch closely. If they don’t show progress soon, heads will roll — starting with yours.”

The head also expressed disappointment. “I appointed you because you are one of our sharpest assets. I’m disappointed in you, Mr. Gowtham.”
After the meeting ended and the bosses left, Gowtham turned his attention to the small group of lady trainees who had complained about his absence. There were four of them — one who spoke only Kannada, one fluent in English, one in Hindi, and a quiet Marathi girl.

To satisfy his bruised ego, he began the session with a fake smile. While explaining basic procedures, he started slipping in sharp Tamil curses under his breath whenever they asked questions or made small mistakes — words they weren’t supposed to understand.

“Summa iru di loosu…” (Shut up, you idiot) — muttered with a pleasant smile while correcting the Kannada girl.
“Pudungi eduthu oombu di…” (Suck it out, bitch) — whispered while the Hindi-speaking trainee struggled with a slide.
He laughed inside, enjoying the secret power trip. Complaining about me? I’ll make your training hell while smiling.

The session dragged on with his hidden venom. 
He purposefully ridiculed them for even small mistakes.

When it finally ended and everyone started packing up, 
the Marathi girl — who had been quiet the whole time - turned at the door..
She waited till everyone leave.. 

Then 
She looked straight at him and said calmly in perfect Tamil, “Enaku Tamil Theriyum(I Know Tamil Well).”

Then she walked out without another word.

Gowtham was shocked. She knew Tamil? 
So did she knew that i used unusable words on them?…

He suddenly remembered the warning from his boss. 
Now he had shown his anger toward the women — and one of them understood every word. 
That was it.
That little bitch…

The distraction due to The week’s obsession with Sneha had already spoiled his image and dented the trust in him at the company.  
Now this. His action would surely bring condemnation from the head.

Shit, he ran quickly to downstairs, but he could not find her. 
Shit, i messed up. 

His obsession with Sneha suddenly mixed with fresh humiliation. The game was getting more complicated — both at home and in the office.
And Gowtham was in no mood to lose either.

Soon, he got an idea, to get help from colleagues. 
He tried reaching out to his friends at the office to get the Marathi girl’s number, but nothing worked.
With reality slapping him hard, he finally came back home.

Suresh reached the house at the same time. He saw Gowtham walking ahead to his house, lost in thoughts. As Suresh entered the hall, Sneha received him warmly and gave him some vegetable soup.

“How did your day go? You said it was something important!” Sneha asked.

Suresh looked at her face. A strange smile came to his lips. Thanks to you too, he thought. I kept thinking about how to escape you and this house for a full long day at the interview… and it turned out to impress Aditya. He thinks I’m a focused and calm fellow.
A sudden laugh escaped him.

Sneha asked, “What is it? Why are you laughing?”
“Nothing,” he said. “In a way, thanks to you. Your poori and masala started my day with a good mood. [he lied] The meeting went well.” 
She was happy to hear that. Somewhere inside her heart, it gave her confidence. Maybe I’m just overthinking. He seems casual and usual as every day.

She didn’t stop there. She went to cook dinner — masala dosa, sambar, and chutney. Today, all potato masala items — his favorites.

It was around 8:30 PM. Sneha realized Gowtham hadn’t come yet. He was usually back by 7. It seemed unusual. She took her phone and called him, but it was busy. Minutes later, she reached his room and knocked. Gowtham seemed tense. He said he would come in a bit for dinner.
Gowtham was actually calling friends, trying to get the Marathi girl’s number. Nothing was working.

When Gowtham finally came to dinner, Suresh and Sneha were already eating. While Suresh enjoyed a feast, Gowtham remained lost in thoughts. Sneha noticed Suresh didn’t play any under-the-table games, no rubbing her thighs or teasing with his toe. She thought he might still be hurt from the morning incident. However, she was determined to change things, between her and Suresh.

After dinner, she quickly washed the vessels and arranged new sheets on the bed. Gowtham was still texting friends and explaining the situation.
Suresh had already set up his laptop with a movie, pretending to work in the guest room. Sneha came to the guest bedroom and said, “You can sleep there itself. I have arranged the bedroom.”

He looked at her and replied, “I’m not playing here. I will be on call. It will be odd if you sleep near me.”
She said, “I will ask Gowtham to sleep in his house, I hope that works"

Suresh stopped her. “I think you heard me wrong. I just want to be alone in the room while the meeting starts. It’s a new kind of work that will go on for some months. This has nothing to do with you or Gowtham, Sneha.” He assured her (he lied).

She stood there for a few minutes, then came out, locked the door, and returned to the master bedroom.
She noticed Gowtham was still on the sofa.

She didn’t say anything. Confusion, exhaustion — everything weighed on her. 
She changed into a light nighty and lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Gowtham came in 10 minutes later. 
He removed his clothes except for his shorts, as usual, and lay on the bed separately, staring at the fan, unsure of tomorrow’s state at the office.

Suresh, in the guest room, could not believe he had landed a job at such a prestigious group as a core member. He was on cloud nine, yet Viraj’s warning also made him worried.

For Gowtham, it was the Marathi girl.
For Sneha, it was Suresh.
For Suresh, it was the new place and Aditya.

They all had their own reasons, but the three of them felt sleepless at the same time, lost in their thoughts.

Now its totally suressh responsible if anythink happend between sneha and Gowtham. Bz she almost throw out gowtham, But suresh insist and Point out so strong he is ok with it. 

Suresh should learn somethink quickly. Otherwise it will too late. If sneha knows, suresh deliberatly avoid sneha and he is ok now Gowtham and sneha going forward. Neglecting is not the solution. He should realise that. But Karma is starting to Gowtham. Lets see how its going to unfold later.

Through out the story I had a little bit of pity for Suresh.. But now feel sorry for i felt that way.. Even after she is coming to talk to him he is neglecting and pushing her towards another man .. Even after reading the messages in his wife's phone he should have known that Gowtham is playing.. Atleast that he should have confront to her.. But he didn't.. Then i don't know how is smart in his job?? Sorry author.. That's pathetic... Good going .. keep it up..
