I was extremely tired. Somehow I collected and put my clothes on and went into a deep sleep.
I slept like hell for the next 4 hours. When I woke up, it was 7:30 in the morning. Everyone had left the house except Uncle. I wasn't even able to make any eye contact with him. He came to me and asked for tea. I used to take bed tea, but I didn’t want to mingle with him again and decided to take it at the Railway Station instead. I excused myself to go to the bathroom to have a bath.
He was behaving very cordially, but I was afraid and cautious not to leave any string attached. As the washroom was very small and made of old galvanized sheets having many holes on the wall. I dropped the idea of taking a bath and just cleaned my face and private parts and changed my clothes. Rahmaan Uncle asked me for breakfast, but I declined saying I have to catch my train at 9:30 AM (though it was at 12:30). He said he will drop me to the station but I cut him off saying that I will manage. Then he came to me and asked… “kal raat ke liye naaraz to nahin ho beti… (Are you angry with us …for yesterday night's incident?) ”. I didn’t reply and completed my luggage packing.
He further continued … “Fir kab miloggeee….? (when will you meet again…?)”. I was surprised by his expectation, his daydreaming. He was asking for my mobile no repeatedly, and so to get rid of him, I gave him my no ultimately but by shuffling 2 nos at the end. Then, I left his house, took an auto rickshaw, and rushed to the Station. He came with me till auto rickshaw to see off, I didn’t give him even a single glance. Coming to the station, the first thing I did was switch on my mobile. It has many messages from the subscriber, for having missed calls from Rakesh. And at last a message from Rakesh at 2:00 am … “Jaanu, I am very worried for you… where are you now, please call back”. My eyes were wet, all of my anger for him vanished. I was full of guilt for my disgrace last night. I wiped my eyes and called him and explained my whereabouts. I said that I had missed the night train and spent the whole night at the station in the waiting room.
He asked me to return back, but I had no courage left to face him immediately. So, I acted like I was still angry with him and said that I am going home and I will never come back until he changes his behavior. He tried explaining to me, but I disconnected the phone and didn’t pick up after his re-dial. I was feeling very low. And also in fear that if I talk more, he might smell something odd had happened to me here. The Train arrived on time and I got on board.
I reached ,.'abad the next morning and the whole journey, my mind was occupied with that incident. Although, I had my ovulation 10 days before and nearly out of my danger zone, but as they have discharged their sperms inside my womb thrice and that too so heavily in quantities, the first thing I did after reaching ,.'abad was taking a contraceptive pill.
