You deserved every praise .

Your dedication towards your story is commendable.  Raising-hands

I am still amazed , How do you write so fast , and also maintain the same standard . Your pacing and consistency is too good .  flamethrower

I would say take a little time off for yourself . Do not rush or feel pressured .

After reading your comment , So there is still lot to cover . Is Manya going to be an Important Character or play an important Role ? I mean would her character make any impact on the course of the story ?

Just one request , Please don't give us an Ambiguous ending this time .  Tongue  Try to give an Conclusive Ending  Big Grin

Also Can you tell us how far the story has progressed?

Chapter 77 – Mirna's Guilt Erased, Vikram's Control , Bharath's Instinct

The morning came soft and golden, sunlight slipping through the half-open balcony curtains, painting long, warm stripes across the bedroom floor.

Vikram woke slowly — the bed still warm, the sheets tangled around Mirnaa’s legs. He reached for her instinctively — but something felt off.
She was still sleeping.

Usually she was awake first — coffee ready in a flash, the faint sound of the shower running by the time his eyes opened. Today — silence. No clink of cups. No water running. Just her soft, even breathing.
He turned toward her.

Vikram and Mirna

Mirnaa lay curled on her side — facing away from him — lavender nighty twisted around her hips, one strap slipped off her shoulder, exposing the smooth curve of her back. Her hair fanned across the pillow like dark silk. She looked peaceful — almost childlike — lips slightly parted, cheeks flushed from sleep.

Vikram watched her — chest rising and falling gently — and felt a strange mix of tenderness and unease.
She slept like a baby.

He didn’t know why she looked so… unguarded.
He didn’t know her lips had been tasted by another man last night.
He didn’t know Bharath had sucked her mouth slow and deep while she thought it was comfort.
He leaned closer — brushed a strand of hair from her face.

Ten more minutes, he thought. She’ll be late.
He touched her shoulder — gentle.
“Mirnaa…”

Her eyes fluttered open — sleepy, confused.
She blinked up at him.
Then — realization hit.

She sat up fast — nighty slipping further down her arm, the soft swell of her breast almost exposed.
“What time is it?” she whispered, voice hoarse.

Vikram glanced at the clock. “Almost eight.”
Mirnaa’s hands flew to her face. “I… I overslept.”
Vikram smiled — soft — and leaned in to kiss her forehead.

The first thing she asked — voice small, trembling:
“Why do you want me to kiss like this? Is this not wrong? And why do you call it comfort?”
Vikram froze — lips still on her skin.
He pulled back slowly.

“What?”

Mirnaa looked at him — eyes already filling.
“You said… kiss him. You said he will surrender. First forehead, then cheek, chin… his emotions will get controlled. I did that. But he didn’t… he kept crying. You said kiss and tell it’s to comfort him. So I…”
She swallowed.

“I kissed him on the lips.”

Vikram’s stomach dropped.
“What lips?” His voice was low — dangerous.
Mirnaa’s tears spilled.

What you didn’t mean that? Did I do something you didn’t say?

When did i said? Vikram asked little furious

“Yeah… he was screaming in pain. You said first forehead, then cheek, chin… he didn’t control. You pushed me — kiss, kiss, kiss — so I kissed him on the lips. That’s when he got controlled.

Sorry i got confused with your voice over air pod, i coughed and alerted you but you insist

i messed it, I’m sorry…dont dont look me bad”

She hid her face in her palms — shoulders shaking.

Vikram was taken back.
Did she misinterpret my message?
Ever since their marriage he had never seen her cry like this — except in the hospital when he was admitted last time. Silent, heaving sobs. The sound pierced him.
He could not see her cry.
At the same time — he could not agree to her kissing him.
He also feared any single wrong move alerting Bharath would put their progress on hold. After her doing this — he may expect the same sometime soon.
Cannot risk until Dubai trip.
Vikram’s anger intensified — hot, sudden.
But he controlled it.

He wanted to slap her — Are you that naive? Should I spell this out? Don’t you know?
But he swallowed the rage.

Instead — he reached for her — pulled her hands away from her face.
One hand crushed the pillow beside him — knuckles white.
The other hand caressed her hair — gentle, steady.

He leaned in — lips landing on her forehead in one solid, deep kiss.
The kiss lingered — longer than usual — but there was rage in it. His mouth pressed hard — almost punishing — as if trying to erase the memory of another man’s lips on hers.
He pulled back.

Looked at her mouth.
Felt a flicker of disgust.
Shit, he thought.
He controlled himself — barely.

Determined now.

Earlier he had been skeptical.
Now he was very much determined.

He would expose Bharath to Aadharsh — for what he did to her.
He pulled Mirnaa into his arms — tight.

“You did what you thought was right,” he whispered — voice rough.
“I’m not angry at you.”
A lie.

“I’m not angry at him either. It’s truly comfort.”
Another lie — half-true.

Mirnaa sobbed against his chest — softer now.
Vikram held her — jaw clenched.

But Mirnaa suddenly withdrew — fast, almost violently.
“I… I am not in this anymore.”

Vikram’s eyes widened — shock.

Vikram panicked in his mind ---- Mirna, calm down. I too hate it but Your withdrawal will spoil my plan.

He caught her wrists — gentle but firm.

“Mirnaa… if you want, you can withdraw slowly. But see — when you withdraw all of a sudden, he would be more hurt.
It would damage him mentally.”

He softened his voice.

“Just hang in there. Be a good friend. Just draw a line — nothing more than a kiss, okay?”

Mirnaa looked at him — eyes red, searching.
“Do you think me bad? Am I a bad woman?”

Vikram held her hand — thumb stroking her knuckles.
“When we agreed to help him, I expected someday we might face this… but I never thought it would come this quick. Which means I’m very well prepared.”

He leaned closer — voice low, intimate.
“How can I see you as a bad woman? In my eyes, you get one step ahead in helping one soul With your lips…”

Mirnaa was still in bad mood — tears threatening again.

Vikram joked lightly — trying to ease the tension.
“You once wished to marry a cop, right? Now you at least get a lip.”
Mirnaa felt a shy flush — she beat his chest playfully.
Vikram caught her jaw — gentle — and looked into her eyes.
“In my eyes you are always my love, my wife, my everything. How will I ever think you bad or hate you?”
She hugged him instantly — tight, needy.

Vikram held her — feeling a little easier now.
He slowly revoked the hug — leaned in to kiss her lips.
But the image flashed — Bharath’s mouth on hers.
He stopped — mid-motion — and kissed her forehead instead.
Deep. Possessive.

He whispered: “It’s late. Let’s bath together.”
Ten minutes later — they bathed together, nude under the shower.
Water cascaded over them — hot, steaming.

Vikram’s fingers caressed her lips — slow, deliberate circles — while she thought he was enjoying her.
But he was cleaning them.
Cleaning the lips kissed by Bharath.

He forced his mouth on hers — shower water rushing between their lips — passing into her mouth like cleansing.
Along with that — he fixed a kiss. Deep. Possessive.
Romantic for her.
A mere cleaning process for him.

When they exited the bathroom — Mirnaa felt very shy.
He never does like this…
He smiled — warm.

“See… I always love you.”

She hesitated — then asked:
“What should I do with Bharath?”

Vikram — calculatedly — said:
“Hang there. Don’t hate him or push him. If you feel right, if he asks — give him a kiss.
If he doesn’t — don’t volunteer yourself.

Even if I say, even if he asks — if you feel you don’t want to — say it clearly to him. Don’t do without your own consent.
But if he insists more — tell him kiss is the boundary you drew.

Other than that — be casual like always. Don’t let him know you are weak. For any matter.

For the two weeks in Dubai — he might need to be here. I don’t want any misunderstanding between you two.
Like I said already — be in healthy friendship. Date him. Few kisses. That should be the limit.”
Mirnaa nodded — understandingly.

She resolved — felt calm only after speaking with Vikram.
Mirnaa seemed like she got clarity.

They came together downstairs — breakfast not prepared.
Vikram said: “Bharath, she slept long. We can have breakfast together outside.”
Bharath saw them.

Mirnaa had no discomfort in her eyes.
Vikram looked so calm.

Bharath’s instinct alerted — something in him shifted.
He smiled — small, hidden.
The game continued.

Chapter 78 – The Calm That Sparked Doubt

Bharath sensed it the moment he stepped back into the house after the morning drop-off.

Mirnaa hadn’t cooked breakfast. The kitchen was untouched — no lingering aroma of chutney, no steel vessels stacked beside the sink, no sign of the usual early-morning ritual. Vikram sat at the dining table, scrolling through his phone with an unnaturally calm expression, as if the kiss last night had never happened, as if nothing had shifted at all.

They had both woken late.

The house felt too still — like the eye of a storm.

Bharath knew he was standing between two volcanoes: Vikram and Aadharsh. He couldn’t trust either of them fully anymore. Vikram’s calm was too perfect, too controlled — a mask that hid rage or calculation. Aadharsh was a ticking bomb — his consignments already under trouble, and Bharath’s double-agent game could blow up in his face with one wrong move toward Vikram.

His prize remained simple: Mirnaa’s innocence. Not just to possess it — but to explore it sexually, layer by layer, until she gave herself willingly, thinking it was all her choice. They had believed his story — at least Mirnaa had. That was enough. Now he would play even more carefully. One slip and both volcanoes would erupt.

The trio went out for breakfast — a quiet café on the beach road. Vikram ordered idlis and filter coffee. Mirnaa barely touched her plate. Bharath ate slowly, watching them both. Too much normality. It sparked doubt in him. People who had just crossed a line didn’t behave this normally unless they were hiding something bigger.

After breakfast, Bharath drove Mirnaa to the hospital.

The drive was mostly silent.

Mirnaa stared out the window, fingers twisting the edge of her saree pallu. She couldn’t be normal — even though Vikram had told her it was okay. The kiss replayed in her mind — the way Bharath’s lips had claimed hers, the way she had let him, the way her body had responded despite the guilt. She felt dirty. She felt confused. She felt… something warm and forbidden she didn’t want to name.

Bharath noticed.
He stayed quiet — letting the silence stretch. Too much talking would make her defensive. Too much comfort would make her suspicious.
Before they reached the hospital gate, he spoke — soft.

“Bye. Let’s meet in the evening.”
Mirnaa nodded — small and stepped out.

Bharath purposely avoided Vikram the rest of the morning. He left the house early, drove to a quiet spot near the ECR, and called Priya.

She picked up on the second ring — surprised.
“Bharath? Hi.”

“Are you around Mirnaa right now?”
“No… I’m at the counter. Why?”

“Mirnaa didn’t prepare food today — not even lunch. I want you to take her to the nearby star hotel for lunch. And join us.”
Priya laughed — low, teasing. “I brought food.”

“That’s okay. Let’s share. Do you think i only taste Mirna's ... allow me to Let me taste you too.”

Priya took the double meaning — and enjoyed it. Her voice dropped. “Sure. I’m waiting!”

“Don’t tell her. Let it be a surprise.”

The noon arrived.

Mirnaa was heading to the canteen when Priya caught her arm.
“Come on — let’s go to the hotel. My treat.”

Mirnaa hesitated. “Let’s eat in the canteen. Why outside? You even bought the lunch right”

“Let’s share it there. Come, Mirnaa.”

They sat at a quiet corner table in the hotel restaurant — air-conditioned, soft music, linen napkins.

Priya dialed her phone.

Bharath appeared in under a minute — casual shirt, easy smile.

Mirnaa’s eyes widened. “What is this? Surprise?”

She looked at Priya. “Yours doing?”
Priya shook her head. “No — Bharath wanted to surprise you.”

Bharath slid into the seat opposite her.

“You used to give me lunch boxes every day. Today you haven’t prepared anything in the morning — won’t I notice it? How could I forget you? So I made a plan and called Priya. Also… ever since I met Priya, we never shared any meals. So I planned it.”

Mirnaa was not sure how to take it. But she liked how he noticed these little thing .. Care..
She managed a small “Thanks.”

Bharath waved it off — light, friendly.

“Keep your thanks aside. This hotel has plenty of good things to eat. Let’s order and have a blast.”

He made it easy. Tense-free.

He showed no over-the-top care toward Mirnaa — treated them both the same. Joked with Priya about hospital gossip, asked Mirnaa innocent questions about her day, laughed at the right moments. Friendly. Normal. Attentive to small things — refilling her water, passing the raita first — but never lingering, never possessive.

After the meal — biryani,  Curd, cold coffee — he said goodbye and left for “work.”

Evening came.

Bharath picked Mirnaa up as usual.
The drive home was quiet at first.
Then — halfway — he spoke.

“I’m sorry,” he said softly. “I know you would have felt bad after the kiss.
Thank you. I promise I won’t make you uncomfortable again.

She didnt say anything but looked at him

Bharath continued his game, i got worried after the kisses. i worry you would withdrew from me..
These days your friendship was actually one thing that kind of getting me back..

Your friendship is more important than anything else.

She really looked at him..

I respect you. I adore you — as much as I love you, I want to respect your marriage as well.

Mirna eyes expanded, a sudden shyness hearing the word love, yet it alarmed something..

Bharath quickly shifted..

If you have any boundary to tell me… I won’t cross it.”
He paused — voice dropping.

“But emotionally… I need you for some time. Hope you can understand me. I wanted to say this for a long. Also…

I expect some privacy to our friendship. You can see a change in me from last night. Your kisses do that magic.

But I know my limit.

When you can put so much effort on that… why won’t I think of it?”

He gently held her palm — like an assurance.
His thumb brushed the inside of her wrist — slow, warm, deliberate.
Then — warmly — he thanked her.
Mirnaa’s breath caught.

Suddenly her mind reeled one word

As much as I love you.

Does he love me?
Doesn’t he know I’m married?
Yes… he said he wanted to respect my marriage.
How should I take it?
He causes me fear (with love) and consoles me (respecting my marriage) in the same breath.
I definitely trust him.
He cannot harm me or my relation.
He is open like a book. He is my friend… my well-wisher… my savior.
I never seen him explaining this much… Seems he worried about protecting his friendship with me..
He values me so much...
Let’s go past this and pursue good relation.

The thoughts landed like a soft explosion in her chest. She felt happy, shy, guilty, thrilled — all at once. Her cheeks flushed deep pink. Her fingers curled slightly around his — involuntary.

She looked down at their joined hands — heart racing.

His assurance, the words on respecting Marriage, the boundary offered without her even asking — it melted something inside her.

She squeezed his hand back — small, uncertain.

What else could she want?
He had bowled her emotionally.

He threw his hand open — one palm facing her.
“Friends?”

Mirnaa smiled — shy, relieved — and clapped her hand against his in a light high-five.
“Friends.”

The Thar racing towards the home...

Bharath guessed Vikram would be in rage but acting.
He believed Vikram could be calculatedly setting a trap for him.
Bharath decided to play along.

He would maintain distance — make Vikram believe he was backing off.
Then — when Vikram least expected it — he would unleash his game.
More than Vikram could predict.

Chapter 79 – Bharath's Realisation

Same day, Evening 6:45 PM

Aadharsh stood in the dimly lit security room of his main warehouse, arms crossed, jaw tight, staring at the grainy black-and-white feed looping on the old monitor.

The footage was poor — cameras from five years ago, barely 720p, no night vision, shadows swallowing half the frame. But it was enough to see what mattered.

There — top shelf, right corner. A carton of premium electronics — one of the high-value consignments — suddenly wobbles. Something small and dark drops from above, lands inside the open box. The carton tips slightly, then settles. No one visible in frame except Aadharsh himself (eating cake earlier) and Bharath (standing nearby, warning him not to leave food around).

No clear culprit. No smoking gun.

Aadharsh couldn’t believe he himself had done the damage. He could excuse himself — a careless moment, a dropped cake — but the client wouldn’t. The second-largest remaining from Sekaran Anna’s old network had withdrawn the order that morning after few days of the discovery. A curt message:

Goods are damaged, long run i dont see you guys are Trustable, i continued partnership just because you are Sekaran's Son, From next time Moving to Krish group.

Aadharsh’s fist clenched. The client had been furious — not just at the damage, but at the insult. One spoiled shipment and they were gone.
He turned to his head of security.

“Call Bharath. Now.”

Bharath got the call while driving Mirnaa home from the hospital.
He pulled over smoothly near the gate, engine idling.

“I have to go back to work,” he told her — voice calm, casual.

Mirnaa nodded — still quiet, still processing the morning, the lunch surprise, the hand-hold, the “as much as I love you” that echoed in her head.
Bharath watched her walk inside — saree swaying, hips soft under the fabric — then turned the Thar around and headed back.

He knew Aadharsh had smelled something.

But he was sure — Aadharsh didn’t know the depth of their plans. Not yet. If he did, he would have sent his men already.

The warehouse security room smelled of stale coffee and cigarette smoke. Aadharsh stood by the monitor, replaying the clip again.
Bharath entered — casual, unhurried.

Aadharsh didn’t waste time.

“What should we do? Krish is growing. He took our client. I want to do something on them — an attack. That they fear and they should not get in our way!”

Bharath leaned against the wall — arms folded.

“I can help in business. But personal attacks… I’m not in.”

Aadharsh’s eyes narrowed. He wanted to pinch on the wound.

“I know you’re staying with Vikram these days. In their house. I’m not sure what you’re up to. You are at my enemy’s place!!”
Bharath met his gaze — steady.

“It’s my personal. You can worry if any of my actions cause damage to your business?”

Aadharsh could not deny it. Bharath had been clean so far — consignments moved, no leaks, no direct hits on Aadharsh’s core. The damaged shipment looked like bad luck — rats, poor storage. Nothing traceable.

Aadharsh exhaled — frustrated.
Then his phone buzzed. Latest intel from his mole.
He read it. A slow, dangerous smile spread.

“Vikram and Krish are going to Noida. Not Dubai — they pushed Dubai program 3 days later. The client whose consignment got damaged — they’re meeting him there. Signing on the second day. Staying until their flight on the third.”

He looked at Bharath.
“They are heading to Noida and not Dubai next week. Did you know that?”

Bharath was genuinely surprised. He doesn't know what he know was Vikram telling him that  — he is going to Dubai.
He said No, he just said he is going to Dubai?!

Aadharsh read his eyes — it didn’t tell lies. He relaxed a bit. Bharath is still and always my man, he thought.
He said, “Look, your friend hid something from you. That’s all the friendship is about.”

“Okay, they are just friends for you — not me. I will teach them a lesson here in Noida. How dare they try to put a hand on my clients.”
He turned fully to Bharath.

“Don’t let them know about this.”
Bharath nodded — face neutral.

Aadharsh played a voice note — to Bharath.
It was a recorded voice —  of someone inside the team Of Krish and Vikram.

The voice played:

Shadow voice managed to get Bharath’s help in consignment. But he is Aadharsh’s man. We cannot stay trusted on him.

Other person said: Dont worry, He is Vikram’s friend, for now he is helping in small packages. But what i hear is like this is what Vikram said to Krish that he will drop Bharath’s help after Dubai meet. So we need not worry.

Aadharsh said: “Krish’s team thinks you are their man… even though you are mine. You need to stop helping them. Anyway, practically your help is never needed when they catch this client and Dubai meet goes one after one. Only way to stop all these is blocking them, at-least one of it”

“I don’t know why you helped them. You said like feeding small fish and bite them when they grew. The strategy didn’t work here, Bharath.”

“You didn’t want me to attack them and only in business, because you care for friendship. But look at Vikram — his men are saying he will cut you after the Dubai meet.”

“Even if I’m not your friend, I try to be loyal.”

Bharath’s mind started observing it. All his doubts were true. Vikram was never interested in sharing Mirnaa. He wanted to divert him with Mirnaa and kept him in controll all the way by just using Mirna's innocence and gave her to him again in harmless way.. All he did is to get him inside for double-agent work. Once he gets Dubai business — yes, as Aadharsh said — my role is not necessary.

He would easily pull back Mirnaa. If I let truth out — Aadharsh will punish me. Other side — Vikram will get stronger. Aadharsh or Bharath threat won’t be a matter after that. In both cases he will lose Mirnaa.

How did I unsee this?

Bharath was furious at himself for being dumb.

He decided to play along. He cannot offend anyone at this point.

He turned and said: “Just scare them. Don’t go too much — block the deal. Even if he goes to Dubai client and business, the consignment fort is mine…”

Aadharsh jumped. “That’s the spirit! This is enough. I won’t involve you, Bharath. I will hunt myself. I will go to Noida. The first day — let them stay and relax. Second day — let them sign preliminary things. Third day for main partnership — even before they depart for Dubai, I will make sure they never did.”

“What you say?”
Bharath: “Perfect. Go ahead.”

Inside — a spark.
This was perfect.
A perfect opportunity.

He decided to play a game —

No by hiding Aadharsh move
But by sharing it to Vikram

If he hides this — Aadharsh will win. He still won’t get Mirnaa — she will worry for Vikram and when truth comes she will permanently avoid him.

But if he exposes Aadharsh's Plan?!!!!…

Bharath’s mind reeled with multiple schemes.

And Bharath was trying to decide which one to push first.

Chapter 80 – Bharath's First Move after realization

Same day, Evening 8:10 PM

Bharath pulled the Thar into the driveway just as the sky turned deep indigo. The house lights were on — warm, inviting from the outside.
He stepped out, keys in hand, expecting quiet.

Instead — laughter.

Priya and her husband were in the living room. They had come to invite the family for their child’s ear-piercing ceremony. They had waited — specifically so Bharath could receive the invitation too.

Priya beamed as he entered.
“Bharath! We were just about to leave.”

She handed him the elegant card — gold-embossed, traditional design.
“The function is next week —”

Bharath glanced at the date.
The date was exactly the same as Vikram’s departure for his Dubai trip… Oh… now it’s Noida, right? he thought to himself. Bharath’s mind instantly gave him some idea — fueling the schemas he had been thinking all the way while driving…

Vikram looked over from the sofa — casual, but eyes sharp.

“Look at the date. I’m out for Dubai trip, so because of that even Mirnaa can’t come.”

Bharath smiled — easy, relaxed.

“No issues. I will take Mirnaa and come there.” He said to Priya and her husband.

Vikram felt a jolt — small, but real.

Bharath saying he will take my wife and go out… before others… shit…

The words landed heavier than they should have. The kiss last night flashed in his mind — Mirnaa’s lips on Bharath’s, even if it was “comfort.” Now this casual claim.

Vikram forced a smile.

“Yeah… that’s a good idea… if Bharath is going… Mirnaa can join him… we are friends, right? They will come.”
Priya and her husband left after a few minutes of small talk.

Dinner was quiet — takeout from outside, since Mirnaa cooked idli for the night. Bharath ate little. Mirnaa was subdued. Vikram watched them both — uneasy.

After dinner, Vikram couldn’t sit still.

He knew Bharath had kissed her. That one thing gave him courage to say he would take Vikram’s wife out for a function.
Is he claiming her openly just after a kiss? He was furious inside. He decided to confront him finally…

He came to Bharath — low voice.
“Let’s discuss for a minute.”

They moved to the guest room on the ground floor. Door shut.
Mirnaa was in the kitchen — cleaning up.
Vikram closed the door — voice tight.

“So the day I go to Dubai… you want to take my wife to a function? Just because you kissed her means you got the certificate for  bossing her around ?.”

Bharath smirked — slow, knowing.
“Sorry… you are not going to Dubai. You are going to Noida.”
Vikram froze.

“How do you know?”

Bharath stepped closer — voice low.

“So you did lie? Do you forget I’m your friend?
Oh sorry — I’m not your friend. I’m a double agent. Works for you… for Mirnaa as prize?”

Vikram’s mind raced. Something was off. Risky.
He decided to come clean — immediately.

“The Noida plan was just decided this morning. You were not here — I couldn’t get the opportunity.”

Bharath nodded — eyes sharp.

“I don’t care. But the thing is this: we have a mole inside the core. Voices are being recorded.
We can see that later. But what’s more important — Aadharsh is going to Noida the same day you go.
I don’t know his plans, but it could be an attack. I came here to alert you on that.”

Vikram was processing — fast.

Bharath continued — voice steady.

“I purposely said I will take your wife to the function because the word has to spread.
Like she is out of town… or going out of town. But she won’t go there.”

Vikram asked — tense.
“What? Why?”
Bharath said — calm, calculated.

“Can’t you think? You are in the similar business, right?”

Bharath had already planned this when he saw Priya earlier.

He said:

“Aadharsh can attack from anywhere — physical, emotional. Did you forget how he dealt with his own father? So Mirnaa staying here may not be safe. She is your emotional point. Krish’s wife is safe in Dubai…

Mirnaa — I’m here. I will take her somewhere — Trichy, Madurai, Bangalore — every day, new place, so Aadharsh could not get an idea. You guys get deals done. With risk around, you can’t take Mirnaa with you.

Hence I will protect her here. Aadharsh already said he won’t involve me as I’m a friend of you. He asked me not to tell the plan so that you will avoid going to Noida. But you need to go. Not to prove my credibility — but to beat him out. He needs to know Krish and you are stronger. Once the client signs — none can stop it. After Dubai — let’s grow together.”

Vikram looked at him for a long time.
Bharath asked — eyes narrowing.

“Why are you looking for long? Can’t you believe it?
Oh — are you thinking, how a person who wanted a sexual relationship with your wife wanted to protect and help?”

Bharath laughed — acted, short.

“I already stopped the thoughts on Mirnaa. She gave me better emotional support.
Once we wrap this up — empire is yours, Mirnaa is yours, Aadharsh is done.”

Vikram stared at him.
Then — he hugged Bharath — tight, grateful.

“Thanks… I don’t know how to thank you. You made it perfect.”

Bharath pulled back — eyes serious.
“Don’t thank yet. I have a request.”

Vikram froze.
Request?

His mind flashed — Will it be about Mirnaa?
Bharath said — slow, deliberate.

“YES. A REQUEST.”

Vikram’s heart thudded.
Bharath leaned closer — voice low.

“As you think… yes. It is related to Mirnaa… and me.”

The room felt suddenly smaller.
Vikram waited — breath held.

Bharath’s eyes never left his.

Chapter 81 – The BOLD & OPEN Request

The guest room door was shut — air thick with the scent of whiskey still clinging to Bharath’s shirt and the faint jasmine from Mirnaa’s nighty lingering in the hallway.
Vikram stood rigid — heart thudding, jaw clenched.

Bharath leaned against the wall — eyes steady, voice low.

“My request is bit complex but i need it most.”

Vikram waited — breath held.

Bharath spoke — slow, deliberate, each word measured like a blade.

“The 7 days you planned for Noida and Dubai… the same 7 days, I want you to speak with Mirna about having an open date with me. And you need to speak with her — she should know it’s happening with your permission and consent.”

Vikram’s eyes flashed — rage barely contained.

“What date? Haven’t you already kissed her — consolation? You said you don't intend to have intention of sex. Now what’s the drama with the date? How’s that different from this and I need to tell her this way? Are you mad?”

Bharath raised a hand — calm, patient.

“Please calm down. I have reasons. Please hear me.”

He took a minute — voice turning stern, serious.

“The 7 days is not just about business for you and protection for Mirnaa. It’s about risk.”

Vikram’s fists clenched.

Bharath continued — eyes locked on Vikram’s.

“If you think I’m trying to find reasons to get Mirnaa — it’s wrong. Let me tell you why.”
He stepped forward slightly.

“Vikram… when Aadharsh said he’s gonna end you there in Noida, the chances of me getting Mirnaa are high. When you’re out of the picture, it’s easy for me to get her. But I chose to tell you. You need to value that.”

Vikram’s eyes narrowed — a flicker of rage, but he stayed silent.

Bharath’s voice dropped lower.

“I also know when you get back from Dubai — or Noida — I may not even have a chance to work with you. Given the nature of control you’ll get. Aadharsh still could be trouble. I might just need to totally eradicate him, but business… your control will be there.”

He paused — letting the weight settle.

“A month back when I asked her for sex… I have not been with her. Now — I have spoken with her. I know her. She is genuine, pure, and innocent.

Do you think I can harm her? After knowing her… no, Vikram.

I just jealous of you. I need to feel her love and care… at least 7 days. Like you get for your entire life”

Vikram’s fists clenched at his sides.

“I’m asking you a help not just to get past myself as Mirnaa is my key.

But also to feels good about being loved for a while.”

Bharath leaned closer — voice almost a whisper.

“And the RISK PART — this is important.

Aadharsh won’t be idle. He will be tapping all our calls with influences.
When he can get a mole in our tight team and get a voice clip — why not this?”

He paused — eyes intense.

“When she is in a normal state, her hands will always search for your number to call and speak. If you didn’t call or idle — she will be worried. If Mirnaa panicked and wanted to see you… Aadharsh may smell it.”

Vikram’s breath caught.

Bharath continued — voice steady.

“The big benefit — when she is distracted with a date with me… she won’t bother calling you. As we practically cannot ask her not to call you — she will throw many questions… we can hide with date excuse.

Date is one way she is distracted.

It’s a win-win situation for all. I will get a feel of her love. You can do your job without an issue.”

Silence hung heavy.

Vikram stared at him — processing.
Bharath’s words were a knife — sharp, honest in their brutality, yet wrapped in loyalty. He was admitting the temptation, admitting the jealousy, admitting the opportunity — and choosing to warn Vikram anyway.

Vikram felt the trap — but also the logic.

A week of Mirnaa distracted — no panicked calls — no risk of Aadharsh intercepting her worry.

A week of Bharath “healing” — keeping him loyal, keeping the double-agent game alive.

A week of Bharath away from the deal — reducing any chance of betrayal in Noida.

Vikram exhaled — voice rough.

“How do I sell this to Mirnaa? Why should I tell her to be open?”
Bharath smiled — small, knowing.

“Tell her it’s a serious date — to bring me back. Harmless. No trouble/ She doesn’t need to know about Noida or Aadharsh. Just… a week to help a friend heal. Tell her I badly need the kiss, the hug — nothing more. See — I can cheat you while you’re away, but I want to be honest with you.”

He paused.

“And start of honesty is being open.
The main part — you ask why open?

What if in middle of 3rd day she got doubt — she may look out for you. Live your life, have a calm date, don’t call me… will be a nice hitch she will get sold.”

Vikram stared — weighing.
Bharath added — softer.

“And one more, Vikram — I will leave Chennai once you are back from Dubai. I’m moving to Bangalore for new life.”

Vikram: “What? What about business empire?”

Bharath: “I can handle for some time until you get options. But that too via phone, not physical presence.”
Vikram: “But why?”
Bharath: “It’s best for all. I can move forward. After all dates, this is best.”

He paused.

“Don’t tell her the leaving part — she’ll worry. Just tell her it’s a serious week of friendship and an open date to help me close the old chapter. She’ll feel safe — mentally. No pressure. Just… friendship that heals.”

Vikram stared at him — calculating and actually convinced…

Bharath added — softer.

“Speak with her tonight. Let us all know what we are doing. No secrets. Nothing. I’ll be in your control. The game — whatever you call it — continues.”

Vikram nodded once — jaw still tight.

“I’ll talk to her.”

Bharath smiled — hidden triumph in his eyes.
“Thank you.”

He left the room.

Vikram stood alone — fists clenched.
He does'nt knew the request was a trap.

But he had no choice.
He walked upstairs.

Mirnaa was in the bedroom — folding clothes, still in her nighty, quiet.
Vikram sat on the bed.

“Mirnaa… we need to talk.”
She looked up — eyes soft, still carrying last night’s guilt.

Vikram took a deep breath.
“Bharath… he asked for something.”
Mirnaa’s breath hitched.

“While I’m away in Dubai. A long date — to help him move on from Manya. Kisses. Hugs. Comfort. Nothing more.”

And more importantly, he specifically asked we all 3 should know about this
Mirnaa’s eyes widened.

“A week? Alone? And whats all 3 of us should know”
Didnt you already asked me to date him and keep it subtle

VIkram said calm down. Vikram caught her hand.

“I trust you. I trust him. No secrets. He’ll respect boundaries. And… when I come back — he’ll move to a new place. New life.

He actually asked not to say about him moving to new place.. but i have to know why he want now. He said your comfort is all he needs

He wanted to stay honest no cheating so he apporached me genuinely before asking you.. I want to respect that openness. Consider this we are repaying him.”

Mirnaa swallowed.
Vikram squeezed her hand.

“Do this for me. For him. For us.”

Mirnaa nodded — slow, but her mind reeled that magic word again as much as i love
She left a small smile

“Okay. if you are okay im okay too”

Vikram kissed her forehead — possessive.

The plan was moving.

And Bharath — in the guest room — smirked.

Bharath was on phone with Rishi  — voice low, amused.

Rshi: “Is he mad to agree?”

Rishi’s voice crackled through the speaker — half incredulous, half laughing.
“No, he’s shrewd. He cannot risk offending me until the Dubai deal. If he offends me, the chance of his deal in Noida too will be questionable. He is smart. He acted like he is offering. He believed I’m just going to have a harmless date. So he is leaving Mirnaa to me for safety — nothing else. He knows I will risk anything to protect Mirnaa.”

Rishi exhaled — a mix of admiration and confusion.

“Still… why you are doing so much drama?
Can’t you just threaten him and take Mirnaa yourself?”

Bharath’s smirk deepened.
“No No, Nothing beats forbidden sex that comes with consent.”

Rishi laughed — short, disbelieving.

“I don’t understand anything you do, Bharath.”
Bharath’s voice dropped — darker now.

“But that’s not the sole reason. I have one more too. I want to give back what he did.”
Rishi paused.

“What? What he did — the way you are doing over-dramatic stuffs?”
Bharath’s eyes glinted in the dim light.

“I will let you know soon.”

A soft sound in the background — water shutting off, footsteps.
Rishi’s voice lowered.

“Sorry — Malini has just come out from bath. She is so angry on you…”

Bharath chuckled — low, dangerous.
“Give phone to her.”

Rishi hesitated.
“She is not getting it.”

Bharath’s tone shifted — playful threat, but edged.
“Tell her I will come and punish her for not obeying.”

Rishi burst into open laughter —
They said good night to each other
The call cut.

Bharath set the phone down.
He knew.

He was yet to start his game.
This was just the beginning.
The trap was closing.

Chapter 82 – The Second Kiss quick but intense

The morning arrived — soft light filtering through the curtains, the sound of waves distant but constant.
As usual, Mirnaa was bathing. The shower ran steadily, steam curling under the bathroom door.
Vikram came down — steps heavy.

Bharath was already there — sitting at the dining table, sipping coffee, calm as if nothing had changed.
He looked up — eyes steady.

“Did you convey to Mirnaa?”

Vikram nodded — once, tight.
“After breakfast… make it like you introduce us for an open date.
Tell her not to worry. I just realized — next week arrives in two days. I mean… your Noida trip in two days.”

Vikram nodded again — yes.

Breakfast was quiet — idlis, chutney, silence. Mirnaa could not look at anyone.
She moved mechanically — packing lunch boxes for herself and Bharath, hands trembling slightly.
Vikram cleared his throat.

“Mirnaa… come in.”
They all sat — living room sofa, morning sun slanting across the floor.
Vikram finally broke the silence.

“Mirnaa… Bharath had asked for your hand in an open date. I gave my consent. And he knows you consented.”

Mirnaa’s eyes flicked up — then down again.
Vikram continued — voice steady but strained.

“We are adults… but we have responsibilities too. The 7 days Bharath wanted you in a relationship — let’s call it a date — get to know each other, have fun… but do set boundaries you want.

Bharath — Mirnaa’s safety is important for me. Hope you…”

Bharath leaned forward — voice calm, respectful.
“No need to worry on that. I will treasure her.”

Mirnaa still could not look at anyone — struggled, cheeks burning.
Vikram exhaled.

“That’s okay. I just want to put all before each other so tomorrow no one should say I don’t know,
I didn’t consent — including me.”

He looked at Bharath.
“Bharath — we consent you to take her to anywhere you want for vacation.”

He looked at Mirnaa — then Bharath — then back to her.
“Anyone has doubt or objections?”

Both watched Mirnaa’s face.

She was like — no. She felt shy. Overwhelmed.
A strange thrill mixed with guilt.

Vikram tried to crack a joke — light, forced.
“You wished to marry a cop… now you are dating a cop. Don’t you feel happy?”

Mirnaa managed a small, shy smile.
Vikram stood.

“It’s time, Bharath. You take her to hospital.”
They dispersed.

No way to hospital — she was thrilled, froze, surprised — all at the same time.
In the Thar — engine purring — she finally asked.
“What you and Vikram spoke last night? He immediately agreed to suggest me for a date… that too open.”

Bharath glanced at her — soft smile.
“We spoke a lot. But we understand each other. What we spoke is a surprise. I will open to you when we begin dating.”
He paused.
“But thanks.”

Mirnaa looked out the window — heart racing.

The two days were hectic.
Vikram needed to closely follow happenings around the empire — needed to keep it tight for the deal at Noida. He came late. Slept late. Mirnaa never had a chance to rest her head on his chest.

But a new thing — small, harmless good-night messages to Bharath — which came first from Bharath.
“Good night. Sleep well. Thinking of you.”

She replied — hesitant at first.
“Good night.”

Then — longer.
“You too. Thank you for today.”

The hospital drop and pick came easy.
Their hands holding while speaking became a new normal.

Exactly the day before the Noida trip — the evening when Bharath and Mirnaa came back from hospital.
That day was too late.

“When Vikram goes to Dubai… we will start dating officially.
I’m excited. And thanks for understanding.”

Mirnaa smiled

As their Thar racing in an empty road.

Bharath said let me tell you one secret
He turned to her — voice low.

His hands were on the wheel — yet he leaned in.

He kissed her cheek — soft, lingering.
Mirnaa was stunned.

She didn’t say anything — but she was little panicked.
First time without husband… and she is with someone not husband.
Bharath held her hand — gentle, assuring.
“I know what your mindset will be. Trust me — I won’t harm you. This 7 days… I’m just going to show how much I love you. I don’t want you to love me back — just acknowledge I too loved you. If that comes closer to Vikram’s… I will be happy.”

Without expecting her answer — he lip-locked.
Deep. Slow. Tongue brushing hers.

Mirnaa froze — then melted — just a little.
When he pulled back — her lips were swollen, breath short.
Bharath smiled — soft.

“Tomorrow… we begin.”
He drove inside.

Mirnaa sat — stunned, thrilled, guilty — heart racing.
The trap was open.
And she had just stepped in.
