Chapter 52 – Bharath and Vikram Digging Truth on Each Other

The sedan pulled into the driveway under the midday sun, tires crunching softly on gravel.
Vikram killed the engine. For a long moment, neither of them moved.
The silence inside the car felt heavier than the heat outside.

Mirnaa stared straight ahead, fingers still gripping the edge of her saree pallu.
Her breathing was shallow, uneven. Vikram reached over, covered her hand with his.
“We’re home now,” he said quietly.

She turned to him, eyes glassy but not quite crying.
“I keep replaying it. His hand on my saree… the way he looked at me. If your friend hadn’t come in…”

Vikram’s jaw tightened. He lifted her hand, kissed her knuckles. “He did come in. And you’re here. That’s what matters.”

Mirnaa exhaled, a shaky sound that almost became a laugh.
“You were right. About appearances. I misjudged him completely. Your friend… he’s not a monster.

He’s a cop. A real savior.” She gave a small, surprised giggle — light, almost girlish.
“He kicked that man like it was nothing. Like in the movies.”

Vikram forced a smile. The sound of her giggle twisted something deep in his chest — sharp, hot.
She had never giggled like that about him. Not in years. And now she was doing it for Bharath.
He squeezed her hand. “Let’s go inside.”

They walked into the house.

Vikram locked the door behind them, double-checked the latch.

Mirnaa dropped her bag on the sofa and sank down, suddenly exhausted. He sat beside her, pulled her gently against his chest.

She rested her head there, listening to his heartbeat. “I thought he was one of them… the henchmen who ruined everything when I was a child. But he saved me. Twice. I feel so stupid.”

“You’re not stupid,” Vikram murmured, stroking her hair.
“You were protecting yourself. From your experience to avoid such people. That’s instinct.”
She looked up at him, eyes soft. “You always know what to say.”

He kissed her forehead — lingering a second longer than usual.
Inside, the jealousy coiled tighter. She’s looking at me now… but she was thinking of him.

They stayed like that for a while. Eventually Mirnaa sighed.

“I should call Priya. She stayed the whole night… she must be tired.”
Vikram nodded. “She’ll be fine. She’s strong.”
Mirnaa smiled faintly. “Like you.”
He didn’t answer. He couldn’t.

Later that evening, after Mirnaa had showered and changed into a simple cotton nightdress, Vikram stepped out to the balcony with his phone.
He scrolled through old contacts — numbers he hadn’t touched in years. His thumb hovered over one name: Ravi.

He dialled.
The line rang twice.

A rough, familiar voice answered. “Vikram bhai? Is that really you?”

Vikram closed his eyes for a second. “Yeah, Ravi. It’s me.”
A pause — thick with memory. “After all this time… I thought you’d forgotten us. After anna left for USA, you vanished.”
“I tried to vanish,” Vikram said quietly. “I tried to be normal. For Mirnaa.”

Ravi chuckled — warm, sad. “Normal doesn’t suit you, bhai. You were always anna’s shadow. The one who got things done.”
Vikram swallowed. “I need a favour. Information on someone. Bharath.”
A low whistle on the other end. “Bharath? The suspended cop? The one who works for Krish’s Father in Law??”
“Yeah. That one.”

Ravi’s tone sobered. “He’s dangerous, bhai. Obsessed. Violent. But loyal to whoever pays him last. What do you need?”
“Everything. Weaknesses. Habits. Women. Anything I can use.”

Silence. Then: “I’ll dig. Count on me, once I dig enough I will collect and inform you and you’ll have it. Anything for you… and for Sekaran anna.”
Vikram’s throat tightened. “How is he?”
“Still breathing. But Aadharsh is circling. Krish says you’re coming back into the fold.”

Vikram looked through the glass door — Mirnaa was curled on the couch, reading something on her phone. Peaceful.
“I don’t know yet,” he said. “Just get me the info on Bharath.”
“Done. Take care, bhai. We miss you.”

Vikram ended the call. He stood there a long time, staring at the city lights.

Inside, Mirnaa looked up when he came back in. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah,” he lied. “Just work.”
She patted the cushion beside her. “Come here.”

He sat. She leaned against him again, head on his shoulder.
She asked, “Where were you last night actually?”

Vikram alarmed said, “The same person messed up a stock incoming to our shops.
Had to go in person and clear the issues. Even now, but I managed it.”
Mirna now looked relaxed and She left a smile, she kissed him on cheeks
Vikram could not understand

Mirnaa laughed. “Maybe I overthinked.”
Vikram asked, “What did you think?”
How can my husband lay hands on anyone, you are most soft person i have ever seen.
Vikram: Mirnaa what are you talking about"
Mirna after a pause said

Mirnaa said, “No, I thought maybe you had thrown chilli on baddies to revenge for me. But I realised you could not do that. You never had your hands on them.”

Sorry
Vikram: Why Sorry
Mirna: Knowing you i should nt have doubted about it. You always deal legally and fight is not your type right!
Vikram could not speak anything he kept looking her and asked now doubts resolved.

She giggled,, then she continued

“Yea almost, about you no doubt, but combining all these and after a long thought I figured out who would have beaten them.”

Vikram panicked. “Who? Who?”
She said slowly, “Bharath… Sir.”

“I keep thinking about Bharath Sir,” she said softly. “He must have been the one who beat that big-shot and his men with chillies. No one else could do that. And it suited him right. He’s strong… like a real hero.”

Vikram’s stomach twisted. He had done it — the chilli, the beatdown, the warehouse fury. And now she was giving the credit to Bharath.

Mirnaa continued, “But see, he did so much for us, but I didn’t even thank him. He is your friend right? Just send a thanks on behalf of me.”
He forced his voice calm. “Don’t worry. Bharath is a friend. We already invited him for coffee — you can thank him properly then.”
Mirnaa: “When did you?”
Vikram: “Looks like you forget. At station I said right, come to my home for a coffee!”
Mirnaa smiled — small, relieved. “Really? That’s sweet of you. For calling Bharath Sir.”

Thats okay… but, When did you started calling him Sir,
what a transformation of calling a person from monster to sir

Mirna giggled , said he is a cop right, he deserves a little respect.

He kissed her temple. “Not necessary to call him Sir here. He even may not like that”
She asked is that so?
Vikram said when he comes here you just ask him.

They went to bed.
Mirnaa fell asleep quickly, curled against him.

Vikram stared at the ceiling, he fell asleep in few minutes.

Then the midnight dream came.
This time there was no mask.

Bharath — unmasked, bare-chested, muscles flexing — had Mirnaa bent over the bed. She was moaning, loud, shameless.
“My cop lover,” she gasped. “Harder.”

Bharath looked straight at Vikram — who stood frozen in the doorway, cock hard in his hand.
“She’s mine now,” Bharath said, voice low and mocking. “You pushed her toward openness. You let me in.”

He saw strange visuals of Malavika, Malar inside the room, chatting to someone other than him.
Mirnaa turned her head, eyes glassy with pleasure. “Vikram… it’s okay. Love brings us back.”

Bharath thrust harder. Mirnaa cried out.
Vikram woke with a jolt — gasping, sheets tangled, shorts soaked again. Cum leaked down his thigh.

Mirnaa slept on, peaceful.
He pressed his palm to his forehead.

“Shit I’m getting these dreams again,” he whispered to the dark.
No don’t over think don’t overthink he said to himself.
And got back to sleep.

The next morning, Vikram dropped Mirnaa at the hospital — same routine, same excuse: “for safety.”
She kissed him goodbye. “I’ll be fine.”

He watched her walk inside — and saw Bharath’s Thar parked across the street.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened. Why is he again here?
He took a photo of his Thar and left the place.

The week passed in a haze of paranoia.

Vikram’s dreams 3 more time in the week but it grew worse — those nights Bharath, unmasked, fucking Mirnaa, her moans louder, her words more cruel: “You never satisfied tried anal properly… he does.”

He woke each time leaking, ashamed, furious.

Meanwhile, he dug.

Ravi’s info arrived: Bharath’s suspension now due to Aadharsh men tips. Past of Bharath when his family pushing both him and Manya to marry different persons. Bharath in rage planned and set up his wife into affair and divorced her. Manya was widowed and she started loving her husband but soon he was killed in accident, she believed Bharath family behind it. Bharath chose this path only to irritate his father. His current thinking to join with Aadharsh for money and power but he is not fully into that, Aadharsh is pressuring him.

His weak point is Manya.
Vikram filed it away — a weapon.

Bharath dug too.

He smelled the case against him, Malar - Vicky, then Malavika shamed him, he knows he worked as a henchman to Sekar and not a simple driver, he procured many deals, but Bharath could not smell more.

At one of Vikram’s outlets — a small electronics store on the outskirts, a staff said he saw Malavika and Vikram used to spend more time — he broke in the store and accessed CCTV footage and he found out, they were in affair for months. He took one clip and played it.
There — back room, after hours. Vikram and Malavika. Clothes half-off. Her legs around his waist. His hands gripping her hips. Clear audio: her moans, his grunts.

Bharath paused the video.

A slow, dangerous smirk spread across his face.
“Got you,” he whispered.
He saved the file.
The week ended.

Vikram still didn’t know what Bharath had found.
Bharath still didn’t know how deep Vikram’s darkness ran.
But both were circling closer.

And Mirnaa — innocent, trusting, softening — was at the centre.
The game had changed.

And neither man was sure who would win her.
That is when Krish lands in. He calls Vikram. “Buddy I’m in Chennai, come to a spot share, we are going to see Sekaran.”

Chapter 53 – Sekaran's Advice

The morning sun was still low when Vikram slipped out of bed. Mirnaa slept deeply beside him, her breathing slow and even, face soft in the half-light. He watched her for a long moment — the woman who trusted him completely, who had no idea what he had done in Trichy, who had just called Bharath a “savior” with that small, girlish giggle.

He dressed quietly in the dark, left a note on the kitchen counter — Early meeting. Back by lunch. Love you. — and drove out before she woke.
He took the long route through the city outskirts, past the old textile mills and abandoned godowns, until he reached the secret spot: a derelict warehouse with rusted iron gates and broken windows.

Krish was already there, leaning against his car, cigarette glowing in the half-light.
Krish flicked the cigarette away when he saw Vikram. “You came.”
Vikram nodded. “You said it was urgent.”

Krish gave a tired smile. “Sekaran wants to see you. He’s recovering… but he refused to talk to anyone else. Only you.”
Vikram’s throat tightened. “Where?”

“Follow me.”

They drove in convoy through narrow backroads, past slums and empty factories, until they reached a small, nondescript bungalow tucked behind a grove of coconut trees. Two men stood guard outside — old Sekaran loyalists. They nodded respectfully when they saw Vikram, no questions asked.

Inside, the air smelled of medicine, incense, and old books.

Sekaran sat in a cushioned chair near the window, thin and pale, but his eyes still sharp. When Vikram stepped in, Sekaran’s face lit up. A weak but genuine smile broke across his lips.

“My Vikram,” he rasped.

Vikram crossed the room in three strides and knelt in front of the chair. Sekaran reached out with trembling hands and pulled him into a hug. Vikram hugged back carefully, feeling how fragile the old man had become.

Krish stood in the doorway, watching with open surprise.
He had never seen Sekaran show this kind of warmth toward anyone — let alone a former driver.

Sekaran pulled back, eyes wet. “You came.”
“Of course I came, Sir.”

Sekaran looked at Krish. “Give us a minute alone.”

Krish hesitated — clearly stunned — then nodded and stepped outside.

The door closed softly.

Sekaran looked at Vikram for a long time.

“How are you?” he asked, voice rough but warm.
Vikram managed a small smile. “I’m fine, Sir. Doing good.”

Sekaran nodded slowly. “I know. I still have people watching. Twenty stores… leading a good life. This is what I asked you to do.”

Vikram smiled.

Sekaran said... You catched whatever i asked you to do, but look the one who preached to you didn't follow it

Vikram frowned. “Sir, what are you saying? I don’t understand.”

Sekaran’s eyes were distant. “Don’t you know how I guided you…”

“Back then, when you got into that fake molestation claim, you were betrayed by two women. You lusted after Malavika. Remember what I told you?”

Vikram nodded slowly. “You said… I lost to them because I gave them control. Instead I should have controlled it. Manipulated in a way that Malavika surrendered herself to me. Instead I craved for her and ended up getting bashed by my own friend.”

“Exactly.” Sekaran’s voice was quiet, tired. “I asked you to apply that control in business — and you shined. You built my secret empire when everything was falling apart. You doubled it when Aadharsh showed his true face. You were the mind I never had.”
Vikram looked down. “I just did what you taught me.”

Sekaran shook his head. “I missed that control, Vikram. Not in business… in family. As soon as I knew what my son wanted, instead of moving or stopping with my actions indirectly… I should have spoken with him. Allowed him to do what he wants. Yes, it was against my policy. But he would have listened to me. I would have slowly manipulated him back to my stand. But I missed the opportunity. I moved away — and that gave him more enthusiasm to act aggressively.”

The beauty of allowing is, they subconsciously give us the position of Master and they like a slave seeks our validation.

Vikram listened, chest tight.

Sekaran leaned forward. “Vikram, listen carefully. Be in business say your staffs or especially in your personal life — your wife, your future children, whoever wants something — don’t stop them. Allow it for a while.

They should mentally be your puppet, seek your validation for everything. Keep their control with you. Once they start doing what they want, they will consciously come back to you for the next step. They will seek your permission. This is applicable in business and personal life as well.

The plus point in business is you can change people. In personal life it’s tough, so control in personal life is important.

I missed it in personal. Don’t want to miss it in business — hence I’m fighting back.”

Vikram swallowed hard. “Sir…”

“The reason I asked Krish to go out is… he should not know you are the one who built my secret empire. Let that go with me. You live your life peacefully. Even today, Aadharsh would leave me if I said your name or made you work for him. But decisions are taken. He needs to be stopped. And I will do that. I will start my empire back next week.

Knowingly or unknowingly, you entered this zone — so you need protection. Only Krish can give you that.

The best is you are just identified only as my driver. I have protected that so far.”

Vikram’s eyes stung. He leaned forward and hugged Sekaran again — carefully, like the old man was made of glass.

“I just need one thing, Vikram,” Sekaran said.

Vikram: “Tell me, Sir. What do you want?”

Sekaran: “Next week I’m starting my business back. I said right — I need you to drive my car for me, you should drive me to our old fort where we operated..after that you can go back to your place, i wont disturb you”

“Anytime I can drive for you, Sir,” Vikram whispered.

Sekaran patted his back. “Go live your life. But remember what I said. Control… not through fear, but through love and permission through manipulations.”

Vikram pulled back, nodded.

When he left the room, Krish was waiting outside.
Krish stared at him — clearly stunned. “He hugged you like a son.”
Vikram didn’t answer. He just walked to the car.
The drive home felt longer than the distance.

The recent happenings, the dreams. Everything had accumulated in his brain.

He kept hearing Sekaran’s words:
Allow it for a while. They should seek your validation. Keep their control with you.

And Vicky’s voice underneath it:
Women have urges… someone will grab it… guilt is the chain.

By 4 PM he reached home. He saw the fuel tank showing emergency sign. He didn’t want to drive again after the long travel. He didn’t enter the house; he parked the car outside itself.

He saw the security standing there. He came out and the security came near. He gave some money and asked him to fill fuel.
He entered the car, looking at the already partly opened gate. Vikram asked the security, “This is how you look at the house?”
Security who started the engine said, “Guest arrived to meet Mirnaa madam, Sir.”

Security already raced the car.
Who came to see Mirnaa? In all these years none had visited her. Now what’s this new thing?
His dreams hinted it could be Bharath?

When he reached home, the laughter hit him before he even entered the house entrance door.
Loud, bright, carefree.
Mirnaa’s laugh.

Vikram froze on the doorstep. His heart slammed against his ribs.
Is Bharath here? Already?

He hid near the door to hear what they speak.
He slowly peeked via door cracks…

Mirnaa was sitting on the sofa, laughing so hard her eyes were tearing up.
Beside her — Dr. Shiney and Priya.

Priya spoke: “What you said about Bharath is true?”
Mirnaa shook her head yes!! “But it’s accidental,” she said.
What? What is she talking about?

Vikram decided to overhear them.
Why they had to laugh at this? Something strange, Vikram thought!

Chapter 54: Bharath Enters Mirna - Vikram's House. The Test Begins

He hid near the door to hear what they speak.

He slowly peeked via door cracks…

Mirnaa was sitting on the sofa, laughing so hard her eyes were tearing up.
Beside her — Dr. Shiney and Priya.

Vikram felt a peace no bharath just her sister and friend but what are they laughing at…

Shiney spoke: “What accident? He was just unconscious in bed right? If you wanted to take the charger you should have asked someone to take it or used a stool to raise and take it. But instead you stood there, fell on him…” Shiney mocked. “Your entire body fell on him or just…?”

Mirnaa in fake anger: “Akkkaaa… please stop! I’m married…”

Priya joked: “You called him monster, you called him thief, rowdy. As soon as she realised he is cop, now this stories are coming out… what else you hide from us?” Priya naughtily urged.

Shiny mocked what is tis Mirna, Priya is telling something she jokingly asked
Mirnaa said: “Akka nothing like that.

Let me explain

Yes his initial actions suggested him as a rowdy or henchman, so I ignored him, and we dont had an interactions, he strangely coincidentally happened to be there…  even i said multiple times to Vikram that he is a monster. Vikram was the one who used to say don’t misjudge just by what you see.

Finally that’s what happened. And while I’m thinking a lot about Bharath… this is the only unusual thing that happened between us, that too he was unconscious and it’s an accident from that. I just said you guys are trolling me… playing me…”

Shiney said: “He is unconscious perfect but won’t he got senses of your body… poor man, he will be still searching for the women who caused him sexual feelings”

Mirnaa shocked what

Mirnaa sadly: “Will he know?”
Shiney laughed: “I don’t think so. Leave it…”

Priya let out a breath: “I expected more… a strong cop and innocent beauty… hehe…”

Shiney laughed. She said: “Priya you never knew this, Mirna once wished to marry a cop… poor she met Vikram before…”

“Is it so?” Priya asked.

Mirnaa said yes in shy:

“So nothing wrong you still have choice.” Priya told and Shiney and Priya clapped and laughed.

Mirnaa proudly said: “He can be cop but cannot be Vikram.”

Vikram listening this had a smile finally.

Shiny said ohooo.. Okay
Shiney asked: “Okay imagine, we time travelled, Vikram and Bharath arriving same day at camp… how will you choose Vikram or Bharath?”

Mirnaa blinked. She said: “Vikram…”

Shiney said: “Aaiiii you fake… okay you cant cheat me now… two days before Vikram arrival you saw Bharath with same qualities… will you?”

Mirnaa said: “Maybe then yes…Bharath , she smiled”

“Ahh that’s it cat is out…” Shiney laughed.

Mirnaa face suddenly went small. “Akka you know me still you are ridiculing me… she said I just said I didn’t thank him properly for saving me…

you guys are doubting me.” Mirnaa eyes almost went tear.

“My sweety I’m sorry.” Shiney went to console the almost going to cry Mirnaa, we are just pulling your leg and playing, You are pure you think we will doubt you”.
We just played with you since you are worried too much about Bharath.

Vikram decided to enter now.
Seeing him everyone stood.
“Hey Shiney how are you? Surprise?” visit ” Vikram asked.

“I’m good. she said and coninued.
“Yes I came for duty 3 days visit then going to Kerala back.”
He left them alone.

The night Vikram saw a confused Mirnaa. He asked what it is. Mirnaa could not control herself she said, “Before you coming Shiney and Priya were teasing about Bharath and me…” she spilled the details.

Vikram consoled: “That’s not the big thing, what you said is fact, before you met me if you saw him maybe your cop idolism may allow you to choose him…Mirna said but will they doubt my sanity…”

Vikram laughed: “I know about you, you know about me… ignore what others think about us be yourself.”

Mirnaa got her smile back, she fell on his chest… and slept.

Vikram got the dreams weirdly it was Bharath consoling her in bed and not him. He woke up. He recounted words of Sekaran. He was not sure about Mirnaa’s deep thoughts and he knew Bharath trying his hand.

Maybe she just thinking too much as she could not thank him? Maybe I should allow it to happen let her thank him and she will drop the accumulated thoughts especially on him..

Like Vicky said the guilt of not thanking him properly making her more drive towards Bharath..?. He also decided to test Bharath, how he behaves in person based on that he decided to act completely defeat him or leave out as harmless stranger.

Next morning Vikram phoned Bharath.

“Hey this is Vikram what’s your plan for today?”
Bharath said: “I have some jobs to do… is this anything about Krish or?”

Vikram said: “No personal myself and Mirnaa need to thank you… I will send you a location come evening, we are early sleepers so we will give you a treat at 7, come at 6.”

Bharath okayed the time like he was waiting for it.

As he kept the phone down he saw Shiney coming to Mirnaa and telling: “Conference starts now I will reach back home at 7 evening  and sorry darling I will catch a flight in the morning.”

Vikram felt a relief glad she is moving with no more questions.

Shiney said: “Call Priya and ask her to come like last evening, lets have some fun.”

Mirnaa turned to Vikram and said: “Get me some chicken let me prepare biryani.”

Vikram said: “I have called Bharath and said we will treat dinner today.”

Mirnaa surprised: “At least you said it now, make it 2kg and get some eggs and a fish…” the list adds on.

Vikram laughed: “I guess you decided to spend full day in kitchen with this list…”
Mirnaa face frowned.

Vikram said: “Don’t worry, I will come noon, lets prepare together.”
Mirnaa face brightened she hugged him and kissed on lips, thank you she said and went out.

Vikram occupied Mirnaa with his love, his care, his help in preparing food, neutralised Mirnaa and her excitement to meet Bharath fades and her being his wife increases inside her. She absolutely loved it.

At evening 6.30, Bharath Thar jeep enters. It came in like a lion entering a territory.
Vikram saw through the door, he came with Mirnaa and welcomed him.

Mirnaa and even Vikram thought Bharath would be jovial and be friendly to them. But instead he was a little unsocial. He came in and sat on the sofa, thanked them and he said, “I could not say no to your request hence agreed but I don’t entertain the formalities.”

Vikram said, “I expected but Mirnaa needed to thank you… we have talked already but Mirnaa wanted to thank you in presence, so I requested you.”

Mirnaa came forward and said: “Sir thank you, sorry I have misunderstood you twice,” she explained what happened.

Bharath smiled smalll. He said: “That’s okay… and please stop calling me Sir, just use Bharath. Please.”

Mirnaa looked at Vikram, he signaled go ahead.
She said: “Okay Bharath… come lets have dinner.”

She tabled chicken biryani, fish fry, egg kootu to him.
He said: “I will just taste each I’m a gym person.”

Mirnaa looked at his arms, then she kept her eye aside and Priya arrived.

“Hi Sir, happy to see.”
Bharath said: “Please join us.”

“Sure.”

She joined few minutes later Shiney arrived at 7.20.

“So you are Bharath…”

“Yes…. I’m Shiney, Mirnaa's sister, step sister, guardian whatever you call. Thank you very much from bottom of my heart… I could not see her in the scenario like that again thanks.”

Bharath realised: “whats that I could not see her in this again? Means a scenario like this already happened?” He realised he can get more info from Shiney.

His intention to come to dinner is to access the house, people and play his part, grab details and use that to seduce mirna in future.. .

Now he realised Shiney could be one who is going to give him details. He calculatedly been unsocial so that he dont install fear in Mirnaa or VIkram, so that he can earn trust and occupy space sooner…

Now he shifted his focus on shiny., he gets into some random conversation and realise she had a flight morning 8.

Bharath said: “He was going to pick up an officer at airport at 8.30 maybe I will drop you and pick him up.”

“Goodness you can right so I don’t need to book a cab.”

Bharath said: “No you can count on me.”

Vikram didn’t know why he was suddenly interested in Shiney and not Mirnaa. He just relaxed.

Bharath then excused, he thanked Mirnaa, Mirnaa asked Bharath to visit us often, he said: “Sure when time comes” and he left.

No one had seen any smile or friendliness from Bharath. It turned them off but it relaxed Vikram nothing uneasy he said to himself.

Back in bed that night Vikram went to sleep and Mirnaa fell on his chest and thanked.

Today instead of Bharath, she talked about him, his love for her, helping in cook is this that simple he smiled to himself

Next Morning, He realised he didn't get any odd dreams.

Vikram was surprised but another call came. Which put him in serious face again.

Chapter 55 – Bharath gets crucial details on Mirna

The morning light was soft and golden when the phone rang.

Vikram was already awake, standing on the balcony with a cup of black coffee, watching the city wake up below. He picked up on the second ring.
“Buddy,” Krish’s voice came through, low and urgent. “Sekaran anna is starting his empire in 5 days. Hope you come to the same spot early morning.”

Vikram took a slow sip. “Sure.”

There was a pause. “I heard Bharath visited your home.”

Vikram’s grip on the cup tightened. “Yes. We thanked him for saving Mirnaa from an incident.”

Krish exhaled. “Aadharsh is mindlessly scheming against Sekaran anna. We need to reach ahead of him. If anyway Bharath can listen to your words, try to get him on our side.”

Vikram stared at the horizon. “I’ll try.”

The beach house balcony gave him so many thoughts — the waves below, the salt in the air, the weight of Sekaran’s words still echoing: Allow it for a while. They should seek your validation. He lost in thought not realizing krish is still on call

He turned back toward the house.

That’s when he saw the Thar jeep arriving.

It rolled up slowly, engine low and predatory, parking just outside the gate. Bharath stepped out — tall, broad, sunglasses on. Vikram stayed hidden behind the balcony railing. Bharath couldn’t see him, but he could see Bharath.

Within minutes, Mirnaa and Shiney appeared at the door. Mirnaa helped Shiney load her luggage into the jeep’s back. Shiney was laughing about something, suitcase wheels rattling. Bharath came behind them.

Vikram’s breath caught.

Bharath was scanning Mirnaa’s body — slow, deliberate, when she bent to lift a bag and didn’t see him. His gaze lingered on her hips, her waist, the way her saree clung. Vikram’s knuckles whitened on the railing.

He’s eying for an opportunity.
But why was he unsocial last night? Why the cold distance? Vikram’s mind raced.

He saw the Thar jeep pull away with Shiney in the passenger seat. Mirnaa waved goodbye, turned back inside.

Just then Vikram realised he hadn’t cut the call.

Krish’s voice crackled through the speaker: “Hello? Vikram? You there?”
Vikram blinked, brought the phone back to his ear. “Sorry… something came up.”
Krish’s tone softened. “please try to speak with Bharath.”

“Don’t do it for me,” Krish said. “Do it for Sekaran anna. I realised he sees you like a son… more than his own son.”

Vikram went emotional. His throat closed. He ended the call without another word.

After breakfast, he picked Mirnaa up and drove her to the hospital — ever since the big-shot’s threat, he never left her alone to travel.
Meanwhile… one hour before Bharath took Shiney with him.
On the road, he began conversation.

“The big-shot is very dangerous,” he said. “They could do anything to Vikram and Mirnaa. I just don’t want to panic. I asked my constables to watch them closely.”

Shiney thanked him. “You and Vikram thick friends?”
Bharath said: “No… but we know each other. And Mirnaa is working alone while Vikram is busy. Also I caused the trouble intervening, so out of guilt I’m trying to protect them.”

Shiney shared: “When she was 16 or something, a henchman almost threatened her to molest. A cop uncle saved her in time. From then she had trauma but recovered.” She laughed. “They joke her with future cop wife words.”

She also shared what all happened before Vikram and Mirnaa’s marriage — her test, how she believed all lies, basically innocent and naive. “Just try it. Go to her and say something emotionally. If she felt you are been hurt she will side you. I always feared anyone can easily manipulate her.. I would even say now her grace on Vikram what turned into love. I panicked then but glad Vikram is smart and she is leading a good life.”

Bharath and Shiney reached the airport.
Bharath got all the info he needed.
Poor Shiney blabbered everything.

Bharath smirked. All I need to wait for the right time.
He now has everything. Proof against Vikram. Weak point of Mirnaa.
But he decided to play differently, he has not intention of blackmailing or forcing.. he wanted a relationship an affair.

But he feared Vikram might also won’t give up easily.

The one week went like easy. No burden for Vikram or Mirnaa or Bharath. All went smooth.

The day arrived.

Vikram got up early. He decided to pick Sekaran from secret place, transport to his place, and be back before Mirnaa starts to hospital at 9.
As usual he left a note in kitchen, kissed her forehead, and went in car.

He was not sure who is there at the place. Just Sekaran or Krish or enemies? All he need to transport him safely and come to his house.
He accelerated the car through 2nd street.

500 yards away, the Thar engine started.

Chapter 56 – Vikram and Sekaran's Ride

The Thar jeep's engine growled low behind him, a predator keeping pace.

Vikram kept his eyes on the road, hands steady on the wheel, but every few seconds his gaze flicked to the rear-view mirror. The black jeep was there — not too close, not too far — tailing with deliberate patience. He had noticed it the moment he left the beach house. Same model, same tinted windows. Bharath's Jeep.

He accelerated slightly. Made a short cut into a 4-way road. The Thar couldn't slow in time. It cruised past, then vanished around the bend.
Which made Bharath's trailing stop.

He's following me. Why?

For now Vikram couldn't trust anyone and Bharath is most dangerous — he is not in their side and not in Aadharsh but maybe?
Why I need to risk, Vikram said to himself and glad he was put off the trail by Vikram smartly. He quickly texted Krish about the matter.

Krish texted back: I will take care.

The secret spot was twenty minutes away — an old, disused petrol pump on the highway, long abandoned, perfect for discreet pickups. Vikram had no idea who would be waiting: Sekaran alone, Krish with him, or worse — Aadharsh's men already there. All he knew was Sekaran's last words from yesterday:

Take me to my empire, you drive me Vikram.
Sekaran's voice echoed in his head.

He gripped the wheel tighter.
The petrol pump appeared on the left — rusted sign, cracked concrete, weeds pushing through the cracks. Vikram slowed, pulled in. Vikram exhaled.

He stepped out, scanned the area. A single black SUV was parked in the shadow of the old canopy. Krish stood beside it, arms crossed, face grim.
No Sekaran.

Krish walked over. “He's inside. He wanted you to drive… I will take your car.” Krish said and they exchanged the car key.

Vikram nodded. He entered the driving seat, and surprised to see Sekaran on passenger seat.

Sekaran: “What are you looking at?”

Vikram: “Sir you always take back seat right?”

Sekaran: “Today I want to take this seat. Whenever Aadharsh drives I will sit near him in the passenger seat. i don't consider him as a son anymore.

It's been years only you can replace him. Please allow me.”

Vikram didn't say anything, he was emotional, he started the engine.

Sekaran called Krish. “You go before us, we will be coming back 10 mins later if you see anything suspicious inform us.”

Krish signalled with thumbs up and he started Vikram’s car.

10 mins later, the car started.

Sekaran felt very relaxed. “I feel like I'm breathing again.
The air freshness, the confidence in me and you are driving me somewhere I feel fresh Vikram.”

Vikram smiled. “The king is back,” he said.

They laughed. Sekaran said he just missed old days.

He had an emotional and playful conversation with him.
20 minutes into drive, Sekaran felt something odd with Vikram.

“Dei Vikram, what happened to you? See I'm here very much strong about starting fresh what is with your face bothering you?”
“Do you think I will drag you back into this world?”

“No way Vikram. It's just my wish to sit like this before I'm going to reclaim my throne.”

Back in those days Vikram always shared his fear and truth to Sekaran.
He was confused about latest happenings, especially about Mirnaa, Bharath, his dreams, his fear.

Sekaran asked himself, “Did something bother you?”

Vikram began: “I have plenty don't know where to start.”
Sekaran said: “Start somewhere.”

“Personal… After marriage, I revenged Malavika and Malar.”
Sekaran: “Dei Vikram what is this!” Then he smirked. “Dei badava, you started taking control huh… good good. Are they causing trouble?”

Vikram: “No, thing is I hid it from Mirnaa, I fear if she would find out.”
Sekaran: “Which husband will tell his affair outside man, especially to his wife? Is that your doubt?”

Vikram: “No, I mean to say she doesn't know anything about the kind of work I did with you. She still thinks…”

Sekaran: “I know about this already right.”

Sekaran: “I thought you will be asking something important? But you are letting me know the same old status. Vikram just make one thing clear, if you both are truly in love trust her she will accept you no matter how grey are you. If this hurts, if you feel like cheating her just open it out to her one day. If you think this is not time then wait. No issues.”

Vikram knows this could be the answer and he got it the right thing.

Sekaran then said: “I'm feeling very relieved advising you guiding you my old energy is getting back.” He laughed.
“Before you jump to second question I have a gift for you.”
Vikram frowned. “Gift?”

Sekaran reached under the seat, pulled out a small black USB drive. “Everything. My secret formula. My network keys. Names. Accounts. Everything I never gave Krish. You built it. You keep it. Hide it. Use it only if I fail.”
Vikram took it. “You won't fail.”

“Okay now what's the second question that bothers you.”

Vikram kept the pendrive in his pocket.

Said: “This for my friend. His wife seem to like a third person, actually she wished to marry a person like the third person but she ends up marrying my friend. The third person seems to have lust towards her. She also display a secret affection or crush sort of behavior. He asked me.”

“The one idea you asked me to apply in business I said him in personal. Allow them, take control, manipulate.”

Sekaran laughed: “You said this to him?”

That instance Sekaran felt when did Vikram had friends is he speaking about him and his wife?

Before he could correct him, he sensed something off suddenly, he looked at mirror.

Looking at Sekaran's face, Vikram too saw it in the mirror: a large white truck accelerating behind them. No markings. No plates.

The understood - Hit-and-run setup.
Vikram floored the accelerator. The car lurched forward. The truck gained.

Sekaran clutched the door. “Aadharsh. He wants me gone before I restart.”
Vikram swerved — the truck rammed the rear bumper. Metal screamed. The car fishtailed.
Sekaran shouted: “Get out! I’ll hold him!”
Vikram: “No!”

The truck rammed again — harder. The car spun, tires screeching, sliding toward the guardrail.
Sekaran grabbed the wheel, yanked it hard — forcing the car to veer left, away from the rail. The truck clipped the side, glass shattering.
Sekaran screamed: “Jump!”

Vikram kicked the door open. Sekaran shoved him — hard — out of the car as it rolled.
Vikram hit the gravel, rolling, pain exploding in his ribs and shoulder.

Behind him, the truck slammed the car one last time. It flipped, landed on its roof.

Fire bloomed.

Sekaran was still inside.

Vikram tried to stand — legs buckled. Blood in his mouth. Ribs cracked. Vision blurring.
The truck reversed, ready for the kill shot.

Then — a roar.

Then — a roar.

The car came flying from the side road, rammed the truck's side. Metal crumpled. The truck spun off the road, crashed into the ditch.
Krish jumped out, gun drawn, fired two shots into the truck's cabin. The driver slumped.

Krish ran to Vikram.
Vikram tried to speak — “Sekaran…”

Krish knelt, checked his pulse. “He's gone. The car exploded. He didn't make it.”
Vikram's vision swam. “He pushed me… he saved me.”

Krish looked at the burning wreck. Then back at Vikram.
He lifted Vikram, carried him to the Thar.

As they drove away, Vikram whispered, “Why? How?”
“Did you catch Bharath? He followed me.”

Krish: “The one who followed you is not Bharath, his friend Rishi.”
“My men blocked the Thar jeep and took him. He had been spying your moves for a long time, you should speak with Bharath about it.”

“However, Bharath had come there fought with my men and took Rishi back.”
“It looks like I have complicated even more.
I worry if Bharath would even consider given I have offended him by touching his friend.”
Vikram asked: “Then who the fuck…”

Krish said: “Aadharsh... I got intel last minute worried and came back.”

But in the rear-view mirror, the flames reflected in his eyes.

And Vikram knew:
Sekaran had died saving him.

His mind reeled one thing. His journey with Sekaran, his travel with him. Tears rolled down.

Chapter 57 – The Resolution

The hospital room smelled of antiseptic and regret.

Vikram lay on the narrow bed, IV line taped to the back of his hand, bandages wrapped around his ribs and left shoulder. The fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, harsh and unforgiving. A doctor — middle-aged, tired eyes behind glasses — stood at the foot of the bed, flipping through the chart.

“Scans are clear,” the doctor said. “No major internal damage. The impact caused blood loss, but nothing life-threatening. You’ll be sore, bruised, maybe a cracked rib or two, but you can be discharged in the morning. Rest tonight. No sudden movements.”

Vikram nodded once, barely. His voice was hoarse. “Thank you.”

The doctor left.

Outside the room, in the corridor, Bharath stood against the wall, arms folded, eyes fixed on the floor. His jaw was tight, knuckles white. He had been furious — Krish’s men had blocked his jeep, grabbed Rishi, treated him like an enemy. He had come to confront Krish, to demand answers, maybe throw a punch.

Then he saw Mirnaa.

She was sitting on a plastic chair outside the room, knees drawn up, face buried in her hands. Quiet sobs shook her shoulders. Bharath’s rage faltered. He stayed in the corner, hidden in the shadow of a vending machine, watching her cry.

Krish approached slowly, hands raised like he was approaching a wild animal.
“Bharath,” he said quietly. “We need to talk.”

Bharath didn’t move. “You blocked my jeep. Grabbed my friend. You think I’m here to talk?”
Krish exhaled. “We thought you were a threat. To Sekaran. To Vikram. We had intel Aadharsh was moving fast. We couldn’t risk it.”
Bharath’s eyes narrowed. “And now Sekaran is dead.”
Krish looked down. “Yes.”

Bharath said im sorry.

Bharath’s jaw worked. He glanced at Mirnaa again — still crying, unaware of him.

Krish lowered his voice. “Mirnaa doesn’t know the real reason. We told her it was a drunk driver. A hit-and-run. She thinks it’s random. Let her keep thinking that. She’s already broken.”
Bharath looked at Krish for a long moment.
Then he pushed off the wall.

“I’m not doing this for you,” he said. “I’m doing it for her.”
He walked past Krish, toward the room.

Mirnaa looked up as he approached. Her eyes were red, swollen. She stood.
“Bharath…”

He stopped a few feet away. “I heard.”
She swallowed. “It’s not an accident. I don’t think so. That big-shot… he threatened me. He threatened Vikram. Maybe he did this in rage.”
Bharath’s face stayed calm. “I enquired. It was drunk and drive. The driver fled. security officer are looking.”
Mirnaa’s lip trembled. “You’re sure?”
“I’m sure.”

She nodded slowly. Fresh tears fell.
Krish watched from the corridor, then slipped away. He had to handle Sekaran’s place — his daughter, the funeral, Aadharsh’s crocodile tears on camera. He looked back once.
Bharath stayed.

They didn’t speak much.
In the evening, the doctor came back. “He’s stable. He can be discharged once he can walk steadily. Give him another hour or two.”
Bharath nodded. “I’ll drive them home.”
Mirnaa looked at him. “Thank you.”
He didn’t reply.

When Vikram was finally cleared, Bharath helped him into the Thar. Vikram moved like an old man — ribs taped, shoulder in a sling, face pale. He didn’t meet anyone’s eyes. Mirnaa sat beside him in the back, holding his hand.
The drive to the beach house was quiet.

Vikram stared out the window. His phone buzzed constantly — notifications, messages, videos. Mourning posts for Sekaran. Photos from the funeral he couldn’t attend. A clip of Aadharsh standing at the pyre, eyes wet, voice cracking in public grief.
Crocodile tears.

Vikram’s hand clenched.
The bandage around his ribs soaked red again — pressure from his fist. Blood seeped through.
Mirnaa noticed. “Vikram…”

He didn’t answer.
Inside, he burned.

I will bring back Sekaran’s empire. I will bring Aadharsh down.
He resolved in rage.
He would go to any extent.

For the selfless man who had pushed him out of that burning car.
This was the least he could do.

He said it to himself, over and over, as the Thar pulled into the driveway.

The sea whispered below.
And somewhere, Bharath watched.

Chapter 58 – Calm Before the Storm & Vikram and Bharath Sketches for upping the game

Vikram lay propped up on pillows, ribs taped, shoulder in a sling, IV cannula still dripping into his arm. The bruises on his face had darkened to purple and yellow, but the doctor had cleared him for discharge that evening — “minor fractures, blood loss, rest at home.” Physically, he was mending. Mentally… that was slower.

Back at home, he stared at the ceiling, replaying the crash in slow motion: the truck's grille filling the mirror, Sekaran's shout, the shove, the fire. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw the flames again. Every time he opened them, he saw the USB drive on the bedside table — Sekaran's empire, entrusted to him in the last seconds.

Bharath sat in the chair beside the bed, elbows on knees, staring at the floor. He hadn’t slept. Krish had asked him to accompany Vikram until he reached Vikram’s place.

Bharath had no reason to stay, but he saw this as a chance to analyze the couple — a natural chance he decided not to miss.
Vikram, seeing him, said: “Bharath, you can go now. Thanks for helping out.”

Bharath said quietly: “I have been to this place once. Krish entrusted you to me. I know I don’t fit into this place, but ignore other things and just get recovered. I will move once Krish comes in.”

Vikram swallowed. “I know.”

Mirnaa came with hot water to give him a massage as the doctor asked. Bharath asked her to hand it over to him. He applied mildly on places the doctor asked to.

Mirnaa: “Then you two speak. I will get some dinner ready for us.”

Vikram then continued, seeing Mirnaa moving out to the kitchen.

“Bharath, don’t let Mirnaa know how this happened. She should not know the actual reasons.”

Bharath ensured: “I know. Krish warned me.”
There was silence after that.

Bharath scanned the home — the interior, the space, the hall, the bedroom etc. He had been secretly sketching his next move. He was very sure that he should not display creepy behavior to Mirnaa and just maintain a decent distance.

Krish's vehicle came.

As soon as he entered, he hugged Bharath and thanked him.

Mirnaa watched this! She is not sure why he hugged him. She just could not believe this was an accident in the first place. Did Bharath save Vikram like he saved me?
If so, is my doubt real?

Priya’s cab came in a minute. She just bought all the medicines needed for the week.

As she enters, she saw Mirnaa froze looking at them.
Priya asked: “What it is?”

Bharath noticed Priya standing there and Mirnaa looking at them. He decided that an opportunity loomed at him.
Bharath and Krish excused each other.

He reached Mirnaa and said: “I have some enquiries to be done, won’t be able to come for a few days. Vikram will be having my number in case of emergency. Don’t hesitate to call me.”

Mirnaa said: “Thanks for the help. I know you have a duty to carry on.”
He said: “Okay I’m leaving. Give some water to Vikram.”

Mirnaa said: “Oh yea, wait let me get him.” As she entered the kitchen, he signaled Priya with his eyes.
Understanding, Priya followed him. He got inside his Thar and came with a pen and pot.
Priya asked: “What it is?”

Bharath said: “Before I say this, I want you to promise me that you won’t share with Mirnaa or Vikram… It’s very important.” He said.
Priya was shocked and curious. She asked: “What it is?”

Bharath said: “I suspect something else in hit and run case!”
Priya: “You mean that big shot who threatened us in station?”

Bharath: “Maybe but I’m not sure. Thing is I don’t know, I need to confirm it. If I say I suspect him, Mirnaa and Vikram won’t be in peace. So I’m trailing them in.” He said, “This is hidden cameras, and help me bug in hospital. If she happens to come to hospital, this will help me to analyze any unusual happenings.”

Priya received it and said: “I won’t let her know.”

Bharath thanked and moved. He shared his number and said: “My instinct says Mirnaa would call you in case of any emergency. I saw you along with her in hospital back in home for dinner when I first came. She may miss to call me when adrenaline rush came. You don’t miss to call me if you hear anything troubling them.”

Priya smiled warmly and thanked him for being so thoughtful.

He knew women like Priya cannot contain secrets. Before he even entered the Thar Jeep, he received a call — a missed call. Priya waved: “My number save it.”

He smiled to himself and left the place.

Mirnaa went to keep the water and saw Krish and Vikram speaking.

She heard Krish saying: “Bharath will be upsetted. I should not have blocked him when he trailed your car. Now all turns into this.”
Looking at Mirnaa, both stopped talking.

They waited until Mirnaa left the room.

Krish looked up. “Aadharsh is moving fast. Funeral is tomorrow. He’s already claiming the empire publicly. ‘Father’s legacy,’ he calls it. Crocodile tears on camera. We have to hit back before he consolidates.”

Vikram’s jaw tightened. “I’m in.”'

Krish studied him. “You sure? You’re hurt. You just lost—”

“I’m sure,” Vikram cut in. “Sekaran died saving me. I owe him everything. I will bring Aadharsh down. At any cost.”
Krish exhaled, a small nod. “Then we’re on the same page.”

They didn’t speak for a minute. The weight of it settled between them — revenge, loyalty, grief.

Vikram further said: “Let’s go tomorrow, attend it and come back calmly. Just like how Aadharsh secretly operated everything we needed to. I used to drive Sekaran, I know all his close nemesis. They will help us. This is cruel. We should not let his legacy fall on some crooked hand even if he is Sekaran's own son.”

Krish said: “I have the same thought. But I know only a few.”

Vikram said: “Arrange a meeting the day after tomorrow at a secluded place. I will assemble the core 10 people.”
Krish surprised: “You know all of them?”

Vikram said: “Yes, you are one among them so am I.”

Krish got alarmed.. Working with Sekaran for 6 years, he never know each other core members name. He had not spoken with any of them, Only Sekaran had done it. Other than sekaran, 3 years back, the one person who sekaran wanted to hide and protect for his empire had done.. If Vikam know all of them who is he exactly!? Krish puts all pieces together. Sekarans hug to Vikram, always excusing for some private chat with him.. may be may be, no its him, he is that person....

he decided to openly ask

Krish asked: “Who you were exactly?”

He looked around the room to check if anyone else was in the room or nearby. Krish locked it and reached to his bed.

“So, are you the one? Sekaran wanted to protect.”
Vikram nodded subtly. He took the pendrive from his pocket.

Vikram said: “Sekaran gave this to me. I trust you. Get all our nemesis list. Be ready. When I say go ahead lets message them. The core people meeting is inevitable.”

“Let Aadharsh think he beaten out everyone. Let him celebrate. But when we strike back, he should never know from where it is coming from. But when he does we should be unshakable.”

Krish agreed, he voiced the same.

Vikram further said: “Now it’s your duty to protect my identity. I won’t name you as next or something but let people know you are someone who came after a void natural phenomena, and I will be introduced as your partner. Natural alliance natural way. When time comes Aadharsh will know, we are more than that.”

Krish said: “But now we cannot use Sekaran's name. Aadharsh will be watching. We need stronger links than before.”
Vikram said: “That is why we core 10 members should meet.”

Vikram sketched everything perfectly. He was just waiting for the right moment. He said he will share his operation idea in the meeting.

Krish then retired asking to take care.

After everyone left, Mirnaa and Vikram alone. Mirnaa arranged a temporary bedsheet to sleep on floor giving big bed space for Vikram to recover.
She didn’t fall on his chest as he is physically hurt. Before she goes to floor to sleep. She decided to speak her mind and doubts.

Mirnaa sat on the edge of the bed, took his hand. “I still don’t believe it was an accident. That big-shot… he threatened us. He could have—”
Vikram said: “Nothing like that.”

“I overheard Krish saying Bharath trailed you? What is it? So he got to know already?”

Vikram said: “It’s not Bharath, his friend Rishi. Bharath was worried about me ever since the big shot incident so he sent his men to follow me but Krish mistook and blocked. But what happened to me was an accident. I should have been careful.”
Vikram squeezed her hand. “It was drunk driving. The report says so. Let it go, Mirnaa.”

She looked at him, doubt in her eyes, but she nodded slowly. “Okay.”

But deep inside she feared, she concluded that is the only way. Big shot aimed, it’s his thing and Bharath tried to protect Vikram. This deeply registered in her mind subconsciously.

Mirnaa rested her head on Vikram’s shoulder. “I’m scared.”
He kissed her hair. “I know. But I’m here.”
Inside, the rage burned low and steady.

He also knew Mirnaa may believe Bharath could be a savior for the second time. But his mind was not ready to invest in that thoughts he had bigger issues going ahead.

2 days later
Vikram was on his feet — slowly, painfully, but upright. The ribs still ached when he breathed deep, but he could walk unaided. Krish had arranged a meet — neutral ground, a quiet rooftop restaurant overlooking the sea. No weapons, no guards. Just the 10 men.

Krish arrived to his house. He said: “We both going out for meeting a friend will back by Evening.”

Mirnaa who was on leave, decided she will go to hospital then. Vikram agreed and said: “We will drop you at hospital.”

Krish and Vikram didn’t speak until dropping Mirnaa.
Priya who reached hospital at same time hugged her.
The friends went inside hospital.

Checking it, Vikram began: “Krish have you prepared what I asked?”
Krish: “Intercom for them to hear?”
Vikram: “Yes.”

“The remaining 8 members know me but they have not seen me, they just heard my voice… so.”

“Making them to believe I was him may not work. I will remain in shades.”
Krish asked: “If you remain in shades how things will unroll.”

Vikram smiled: “No I will be with you all physically present just my identity will be hidden.”
Krish: “I don’t understand.”

Vikram: “Wait for my game to begin you will understand.” Krish smiled trusting on Vikram.

Chapter 59 – The Empire Built from Scratch

Krish welcomed everyone to the private space. He asked them to sit and said, “Sekaran’s shadow men, he will communicate with us shortly!”
After five minutes, the voice appeared on the TV and through the intercom. No display of who it was.

“Hello Krish, Rakesh, Sulaiman, Abhinand, Mukesh, Madhu, Joseph, Sajishan, and Prem.

I have spoken with each one of you, but this is the first time we are in a conference call.”

All murmured in agreement.

Vikram, in disguise as Shadow: “So let’s begin. I will tell you the agenda before we discuss. So we all know what happened to Sekaran and who is the reason behind it.

Like me, everyone will be resolute to bring Aadharsh down and beat his empire with our network built by Sekaran.

Emotionally that’s the right way, but practically we are vulnerable given the scenario. We can operate but we may not know how strong Aadharsh is now — many top clients will be willing to work with Sekaran’s son in his place rather than the traditional path, which is already delinked.
Aadharsh might be willing to work with you all as partners with hefty sums and partnerships. It’s up to the individual to take it or not.

But before coming to this table I carefully assessed everyone of you and I’m sure we are all on the same page.

To build an empire from scratch we need a lot of patience, shrewdness and unity. For some reasons I cannot operate openly outside.

I will appoint Krish as lead. Sekaran’s closer aide Vikram will be partnering with him. He knows the important links and deals, he is one of few Sekaran trained himself. More than Vikram you can trust Sekaran’s upbringing in the field. We are all brought up by him.

Plan is simple: Krish will operate this network from now along with Vikram. Vikram will be communicating all and managing operations in India. You all will continue to work with your respective fields.

For now we should not move in bulk, like big orders. We should appoint mediators, take jobs through them, split it into multiple, so that Aadharsh doesn’t smell.

Let the volume accumulate. Let our top customers come back to us seeing our methods and knowing our names but in a different new name.
Aadharsh won’t find issue, he will just consider as another competitor. Once we take 50% of our clients who are now all set to go to Aadharsh, we will unmask ourselves. He won’t get a chance to even fight us then.”

The entire room murmured — saying this plan is feasible, it looked good.

Mukesh began: “Sir but we hear some suspended cop links are still not yet come in deal. Which is crucial at this stage given we are starting from scratch. Previously Sekaran name is enough, now using his name won’t fetch anything further — it will be redirected to Aadharsh.”

The shadow voice said: “I will make sure the suspended cop is on board.”

Prem said: “If Bharath is on board, his network link can help every one of us.”

Abinandh asked: Why Krish and Vikram needs to lead and not any of others, ? im not trying to cause a rift im just curious

Shadow said: Its Sekarans Plan B if he could not continue Empire due to Aadhash factor, im blindly folloiwng it

The whole members there agreed instantly if Sekaran did it then no questions

Sulaiman asked: “How about funding?”

Shadow said: “Krish will manage it. He will give you shadow sources, you just convert it.”

Sajishan spoke: “I was no man once. Sekaran got me into this. I flourished because of him. Now I need to give him a better send-off. Bringing back his empire will be one right?”

Shadow agreed, and everyone looked emotional.

After a minute Shadow said: “No more questions.”
All murmured no more.

Shadow said: “Let’s start from next week. Before that Krish and Vikram will complete all formalities and make deals with every link. You just receive all papers I send through Vikram.

I’m cutting the call. Vikram is outside the room. Discuss with him.”

The intercom cut, and Vikram came in.

The core members looked at him — the once rugged henchman and driver is now a partner in business, running as a partner to the dark network.
They didn’t doubt him a bit, because all were Sekaran’s boys. Vikram said to the team.. lets start in a week…

Cut to hospital

Priya was happy to see Mirna again. The friends chatted random stuffs. After 1 hour of duty, they came back to the cabin.
Dr. Shiney called Mirnaa. Her phone rang.
Mirna: “Akka how are you?”

Priya asked Mirna to put on speaker so she can speak.
Priya: “Hey Shiney, Priya here as well.”
After some girly talks, Shiney finally asked: “Are you okay? I heard from Priya 2 days back. I don’t want to trouble you so I didn’t call.”
“All good now?”
Mirna said: “Yes.”

“So who it is actually?”

Mirna said: “We are not sure, it’s a drunk and drive case.”

Shiney worried said: “Once Bharath told me there is a threat from the big shot so he sent his men to monitor you and Vikram. Still this happened.”
Mirna was surprised to see how Bharath was shielding them in secret.

Mirna then asked: “Did he tell you?”
Shiney said: “Yes.”

Mirna then said: “I don’t know what we were to Bharath. He constantly checks on us, protects us.

I even overheard what Krish said to Vikram. On the day of accident Bharath’s Thar jeep trailed him, Krish blocked it seems. Accident happened only after that.”

Shiney said: “What stupid thing it is? Won’t a cop know better? Why Krish blocked him?”

Mirna said: “I fear this caused some misunderstanding in friendship it looks like so. Because Bharath stayed that day from hospital to house, after that he left telling me he has duty to take care. I felt like he felt unease”

Shiney said: “Mirna, Bharath is 100% good person and caring. He always thinks good for you both.”
Priya said: “Yea I know it.”

Shiney: “If there is a misunderstanding between friends, if the fear to speak, you need to mediate between them.”
Mirna said: “I have not spoke with him much.”
Shiney said: “Don’t you have his number?”

Priya said: “I have his number maybe I will give.” And she laughed.

Mirna and Shiney puzzled: “How you got it?”

Priya said: “Post accident Bharath gave me. He wanted me to inform him if something happens.”
“Gold he is,” Shiney said.

Priya asked: “It’s really confusing why Bharath is so good but I never seen them so friendly with each other, he is so unsocial.”

Shiney then said: “Maybe he is someone like Mirnaa, who is just grateful and servicing.”

Mirna asked: “What is there to be grateful for him to us?”

Shiney said: “Did you forget you are the one who admitted him on bed to treat him while everyone else doesn’t want him to get admitted when he was beaten at an event.

You protected him and he is trying to return his favor.”

Priya now got the hint: “Yea… See I wanted to say this… I promised I won’t say to Bharath, but I feel I should not hide it anymore. Bharath gave these hidden cams to install in hospitals so that he can monitor if any issues for her.”

The ladies are in awe of Bharath’s doing. Mirna is impressed and grateful — a shadow hero she thought.

Bharath hears every single word from them. He was just in his Thar car just outside of hospital, hidden somewhere in shades.

He smiled: “So this is what ladies thinking about me especially Mirna.” He laughed. “I’m a savior lol.” And he spoke to laptop: “Shiney thanks for manipulating her on behalf of me. You are doing exactly what i want without even im telling you.... Laughs..  Your ‘You protected him and he is trying to return his favor’ line is gold.” I will defintely use it

The ladies don’t know they are being monitored. The cam is not for opponent, it is used for his surveillance on Mirna. And it perfectly worked.

Same day, Vikram came in intercom, hidden his face and dictated what to be done for his new empire — Sekaran’s stamp to build from scratch.

Bharath used spy cam to hear their thoughts and used it as reference to build his next step.

Both Vikram and Bharath are marching towards their goal.

Chapter 60 – The External Factors and the Tight Rope

Vikram didn’t stop ever since the meet with the 10 core members of Sekar gang.
He constantly kept in touch with them through Vikram himself and as a shadow voice guiding them, monitoring them.
Every night he dreams of trying to save Sekaran and wakes up with tears in his eyes.

Middle of all he managed to drop Mirnaa, he managed to take care of business but within a day it felt full for him.
He wanted to focus only on empire to build…
He doesn’t want it to affect his electronic business.

He called Ramesh, Suresh and Mohan next day.
He informed he had ventured into new business and he won’t be able to look after electronics and split the branches accordingly to make them direct surveillance for shops.

Mohan hesitated, he knows what Vikram new business is.

Like a big brother he advised: “No Vikram you purposely came out to start a good life with Mirnaa, going back in will buy your peace as price. Moreover Sekaran doesn’t want you to enter.”

Vikram said: “Sekaran is no more and that’s the reason I’m going in. You know how he ended.
Tell me one thing what will you do if Aadharsh was near you, all alone?”

Mohan his pulse raised: “I will kick him… I will I will remove him.”
Vikram said: “We want to do the exact thing.”

“You don’t know this anna, every night I dream of saving Sekaran. Even enemies should not get into that position.”

Mohan kept his hand on his shoulder and patted: “You know what to do, we will take care of this. Be safe, just remove the empire from him teach him lesson, don’t go over the top and do something else.”

Vikram said: “I understood what you said.”

The following days has been hectic as well.

His house once used for hiding secret overflow money of Krish is now used for hiding other important documents, consignement secret codes, he rechecked all CCTV cameras.

One day after he dropped Mirnaa at hospital, he used a team to install fresh CCTV cameras. His Beach house has 4-5 rooms, with pool inside. His master bedroom in first floor, and the bedroom has a storage attached which walls are false as one of them had door to a secret room, which has monitors displaying all the rooms and files. Adjacent place there is a bedroom but they never used since built.

The ground floor has a big spacious luxury hall, big spacious kitchen, and pool inside the ground floor immediately after the hall. Vikram was proud building a dream palace like house for them but it has more secrets it had to, the dark business secrets, he didn’t leave any room, even the bathrooms and pool handles had the camera installed. Even the pool had secret storing unit, protected perfectly.
Krish was with Vikram when they are installing. Krish looked around the house, he was astonished to see so many hidden things. “How did you make this?”

Vikram said: “When I was building you asked me for a safe place for secret cases.
That’s when I made a change in plan and did all the hidden work.”

“You were always in the shadows.” They laughed together. A phone call came it’s Prem, he said his consignment had been stuck and he could not get out, and it was returned back due to no connectivity he urged to use his connection or Bharath to secure. But midway, some competitor smelled it and took it. This was first blow in their operation started since last week. Krish said unless or until we take in Bharath it’s not possible or feasible.

Krish, disappointed, went out. 2 days later, 16 days of rituals happened at Sekaran’s place. His son and daughter organized and invited all for the prayer and post lunch. Vikram and Krish went together. They went there for one reason apart from prayer tehy wanted to see any business people in line is with Aadahrsh.. They wanted to make sure if they have any backstabbers.

Bharath went there on Aadharsh invite, he purposely went there because he know Vikram would come and his presence will pressure Krish and they will come to them.

However what both didn’t realise is there was the big-shot who once tried to molest Mirnaa.
He was the new dealer in mid level, recently he had some area controlled through him and became a trustable person of Aadharsh.

The big shot spotted him, he immediately said: “This man caused a scene at station, who the fuck is he.”

Aadharsh mocked him as a driver who worked for my father. “Just a driver?” He said he is a business man running electronic shops. “How dare he try to paint the news on me.” He snorted when people were around. “His friend beat me Aadharsh.”

Vikram opened: “You misbehaved, and you got what you wanted.”

Bharath was looking at the scene when the big shot spotted him and said: “This guy is also here, he is the one who beat me.”

Aadharsh was like: “Bharath and Vikram are friends.
Vikram is friends with Krish.” Something odd he smelled,
he suddenly pointed at Bharath with a mocking smile and asked: “You two friends?”

Bharath walked near Aadharsh and said: “Ask him to molest your wife, I will break his hands for you.”
Hope that would prove my friendship with you similar to proven friendship with Vikram.

Aadharsh tensed but he really liked the subtle hint, Bharath's relationship with Vikram is same as Bharath’s with him.
He realised he turned: “Maybe you needed some discipline.”
He put his hand around the arms of big-shot… “We are one as a business and try to not cross paths with each other.”

“Tomorrow Krish may do business with me, Bharath may scoop for me and Vikram may drive my car.” He laughs.

Krish decided to beat him but Vikram stopped him: “We have to be calm and remain calm until we make one good move.”

Aadharsh then came near to Bharath: “So is this why you are not ready to work for me. Friendship?”

Bharath said: “I don't work for friendship, I work for a better offer!”
His eyes looked at Vikram. Vikram read every single line he said.
Vikram looked at Bharath, Bharath stared at him.

Aadharsh celebrated the moment: “Finally okay I will rework on it buddy, count on me…! In business I’m the best.”

The talks irritated Krish.

Vikram knows Bharath presence is not for Aadharsh, he wanted to start a conversation and he knows where it would go.
But they are not sure who will start it.

Krish said: “I don’t think Bharath will come to us, he is confirming it indirectly to us.”

After the lunch they departed.

Vikram and Krish were driving in a car.

They hoped situations will be working in favor, but things are going away from what they actually predicted.

Sathyamoorthi a close confident and customer of Sekaran who wanted to stay in touch with shadow voice, in last minute said:
“I need stability I hear your consignments are in trouble.
You should understand Sekaran is no more. Lets not try to capitalize on his name.
I will move to Aadharsh.”
The call thrashed them to core.

Another call came another consignment in trouble.

Krish spoke in disappointment: “Mmmph I thought we will struggle if Aadharsh smell us,
even without his interference we are struggling.”

“Either we should start or stop. It’s really demoralising the team.”
Vikram said: “Give me two days. I will come up with a solution.”

Krish asked: “How? Did you hear what Bharath said.”
“I won’t work for friendship!! He said it to us man for us.”

Vikram said: “Did you check other part — he will work for better offer!
Both are for us.”

“What you mean?” Krish asked.
“I will let you know tomorrow!”

Vikram choosen already,

He wanted to do it for Sekaran
He wanted to do it for other 9 people who trusted him
He wanted to do it for stopping the arrogance of Aadharsh
He wanted to do it as a Unsaid Son.
He don't want everyone trusted him to look like a clown.
He dont want to see the empire they are building to fall even before a start
He decided to take the responsiblity, The Shadow once ruled this network.
His Rage, His Determination, His Goal..

While thinking all of this
The car came to Vikram’s place, he got dropped down.

With increasing pressure he decided he will start conversation.

He texted Bharath: “Let’s meet for a business deal tomorrow.”
Bharath: “Where?”

Vikram: “To my house, after I drop Mirnaa.”

Bharath: “Deal!”

Chapter 61 – The Indecent Proposal

Vikram was all set for the day. He was not panicked or in fear. He was in control.
He knew what would be thrown at him.

He was ready to navigate it through.

All for his fatherly figure Sekaran.

Vikram analyzed his laptop, kept it ready.
He wanted to record every word of Bharath — not a trap, but a record for what he had been doing.
He sips the coffee and mentally sketches all the probabilities of outcome.

Vikram’s fingers hovered over the keyboard in the hidden room, the glow of the monitors casting sharp shadows across his face. He had been methodically cycling through every feed — kitchen, hallway, living room, guest bedroom, pool deck — making sure no corner of the house was blind. The cameras were his eyes now, silent and tireless. He needed to know every angle, every blind spot, every possible entry.

Then he switched to the master bedroom feed.

The attached bathroom camera activated automatically on motion.

Mirnaa was there.
She stood under the rain shower, completely nude, head tilted back as warm water cascaded over her.
Steam rose in soft curls around her body. Vikram froze. His breath caught.

Her breasts — heavier now than when they were newly married — rose and fell with each slow breath. The extra softness she had gained over the years had settled in all the right places: fuller curves, a gentle roundness at her hips, a subtle thickness to her thighs that made her look even more womanly, more irresistible.

The water traced glistening paths down her skin — over the swell of her chest, along the dip of her waist, between her thighs. Droplets clung to her nipples before falling away. Every movement was unselfconscious, sensual in its innocence.

He should have clicked away. He knew that.
But he didn’t.
His pulse thickened. Heat gathered low in his stomach.

Mirnaa turned slowly, letting the water sluice down her back. The curve of her spine, the flare of her hips, the perfect peach of her ass — all of it was framed perfectly by the wide-angle lens he had chosen. She reached for the shower gel, lathered her hands, and began to glide them over her body: slow circles over her breasts, fingers sliding down her stomach, between her legs. Vikram’s throat went dry. He leaned closer to the screen without realizing it.

She rinsed, stepped out, and reached for the towel.

The camera switched to the bedroom feed.

Mirnaa stood in front of the full-length mirror, droplets still clinging to her skin. She wrapped the towel loosely around her torso, the white fabric barely containing her breasts. She bent slightly to dry her legs — the towel slipped an inch, revealing the underside curve of her ass. She straightened, shook out her wet hair, then let the towel fall completely.

Naked again.
Vikram’s breathing grew shallow.

She reached for the lotion bottle on the dresser, squeezed a generous amount into her palm, and began to smooth it over her body. Her hands moved in long, languid strokes: across her collarbones, down the valley between her breasts, circling each nipple until they pebbled under her touch. She tilted her head back slightly, eyes closed, as if savoring the sensation. Then lower — over the soft swell of her belly, the flare of her hips, between her thighs. A small sigh escaped her lips. The sound came through the microphone crystal-clear.

Vikram’s hand tightened on the edge of the desk.

She finished, picked up her white lace bra and matching panties from the bed. The bra cupped her breasts perfectly, the lace sheer enough to hint at the dark areolas beneath. The panties rode high on her hips, the thin straps framing her ass like a gift waiting to be unwrapped. She stepped into her nurse uniform — crisp white sari blouse and petticoat — and dbangd the sari over her shoulder with practiced grace. The fabric clung slightly to her still-damp skin, outlining every curve.

She moved to the mirror one last time, adjusted the pallu, tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear, and smiled at her reflection — soft, satisfied, completely unaware she was being watched.

Then she walked out of frame toward the kitchen.
Vikram stayed frozen, staring at the now-empty bedroom feed.

His heart hammered against his cracked ribs. Heat pulsed low in his groin. Guilt clawed at the back of his mind — this is my wife, my Mirnaa — but the sight of her, so intimate, so unguarded, through his own hidden cameras, was intoxicating.

He exhaled slowly, closed the feed, and leaned back in the chair.
He came out of the middle room in the top floor.

He went in and changed to his dress. They had breakfast together. Mirnaa was in some other mindset. He asked what troubles you.
Mirnaa said nothing troubles me, you seemed to be off for almost two weeks now. I wanted to converse but you are always on the phone.
Vikram said today I will spend time with you okay? Mirnaa leaves a small smile. Then he picked her up in the car and went to the hospital.

When he starts back from the hospital he texted:

“Let’s meet in 30 mins.”

He drove home.
Bharath’s Thar was already parked in the driveway — black, gleaming, like a predator waiting.

Vikram smiled to himself. How predictable.
He parked, walked inside.

Bharath was standing in the hall, arms folded, expression unreadable.
Vikram didn’t waste time on greetings.

“Let’s cut the crap,” he said. “Come with me.”

He led Bharath up the stairs to the middle room on the first floor — the one with the false wall, the monitors, the hidden door. The room where Vikram had spent the last two weeks planning.

He sat in the rolling chair behind the desk. Bharath took the visitor chair opposite.
Vikram leaned forward.

“So you know Krish is going to run an empire. We need you there. What’s the deal? What do you want?”

Bharath removed his sunglasses, placed them on the table.
His eyes were steady, almost amused.

“Let me be straight. Krish spoke enough on the deals. I’m not interested in partnering for the money then. Aadharsh is also aiming to use me. He even used force — made me get suspended. But still I didn’t turn to him. Not because I want to work with Krish. It’s because I’m not interested in both of you.”

Vikram nodded once. “I know the moment Krish said that to me.

But we have a purpose. We are the true Gang of Sekaran. You know all the story. Now we are starting from scratch — we can’t use Sekaran’s name anymore. Without your link it’s tough to bypass.

For every deal passed through you I pay you 20% flat.

It may be lesser than what Aadharsh offers, but we have volume, and let’s go together.

Aadharsh will bypass you one day. If he can pull his own father down, why can’t others?

I’m not asking you to side for money. You need to side for the right thing.”

Bharath leaned back, arms crossed. “I’m not doing any charity, brother. There is no right or wrong when it comes to business.

Just name me a better offer. Whatever you said didn’t excite me.”

Vikram met his gaze. “Name your price then.”

Bharath’s eyes narrowed. “I don’t know. Give me something exciting.”

Vikram smiled — small, calculated. “If you are not interested or if you don’t have anything to ask for, you simply would have cut me in a message or phone call. But you came all the way. Meaning you expected something. Ask me straight, Bharath.”

Bharath held his stare for a long moment.

Then he leaned forward.

“Before asking that, let me ask you.

Why did you dig about me through spies?”

Vikram didn’t flinch. “If you can answer why you dig at me about my pasts, I can answer that as well.”
Bharath’s patience snapped.

“I don’t want your 20% share.
I don’t want any money.
I need a woman.
Only you can make it possible.”

Vikram’s smile didn’t waver.

He had known this was coming the moment Bharath agreed to meet.
He leaned back in the chair. “I don’t trade women.”

Bharath reached into his jacket, pulled out a pen drive, and placed it on the table with deliberate slowness.
“I trade secrets. In business… and things like this.”

He pushed the drive across the desk.
“Browse it.”
Vikram calmly plugged it in.

The screen filled with files.

Clips of him and Malavika — stolen moments in the back office of one of his electronics stores, her legs wrapped around him, moans muffled against his neck.

Another clip — older — Vikram in a warehouse, beating a man bloody, Sekaran’s orders in the background.
Vikram didn’t blink.

“I know Mirnaa doesn’t know anything about you,” Bharath said softly. “Maybe this can give her a full picture.

So you want Mirnaa?”
“Yes.”

“Why should I give her to you? Maybe I can simply say no, right?”
“And did you think just for the deal or your threatening I would send her to bed?”

Bharath’s voice dropped lower. “No. I’m not interested in bedding her soon. Do you think that’s cheap about me?

I wanted to have a date. A proper relationship. And then sex — but not how you think. Not long, for few months, after that if you are comfortable i can extend. In short: no blackmail, no force, no trading. It’s just an affair.”

“It’s still cheap. Aiming at other men’s wives.”

Bharath’s lips curved. “Malavika and Malar were not your wives, right? When you can stay for months in relationship with them, why not your wife with me, let her too have some fun outside?

I know you dug something on me. It could be Manya.
Even if you threaten her, I won’t move a bit. Because she is not mine.

Actually, Vikram… you have no leverage here. Your empire is crumbling. You may get new informers tomorrow, but it may take years. To stop the crumbling, you need me.”
Vikram leaned forward. “I know. That’s why I’m speaking with you.

I can offer you any other thing… even if that has to be women…
Why Mirnaa? Why not any other woman?”

He opened a folder on his own laptop. “There is a video. Browse it. Says hospital.”
The clip played.

Bharath unconscious on the hospital bed after a beating. Mirnaa — young, nervous nurse — reaching for a phone charger on the wall above him. She stretched, lost balance, and fell forward.

Her breasts pressed against his face.
Bharath’s eyes closed in the memory.

“Ever since, I was searching for her,” he said quietly. “You know I was in ecstasy in those five minutes. I wanted to badly bed her. Taste her melon. But I missed her.

When fate took me to her, she was introduced to me as your wife. Even then I thought I could orchestrate something and just bed her. But I figured out she is innocent. Naive.

You can get any woman out there. But innocent and naive? Rare. I decided then I should plan something to get near her. Become a friend. Then a little more. And enjoy her innocence in sex. Pleasure.”

Imagine i'm seducing a strict homely innocent wife into an affair. Thats something man, Thrill. You would have done it right he laughed.

Vikram listened to every word.

He didn’t rage. He didn’t flinch. He didn’t even blink.
He focused only on his empire.
His mind reeled with one thing — Sekaran’s words:
Allow them for a while… have them in control… execute it in business or personal life. They need your validation for all.

Silence stretched between them.

Bharath tilted his head. “Why didn’t you react at all?”

Vikram leaned back in the chair. “It didn’t excite me anymore.

My goal is something else: there are consignments, there are businesses at risk, there is a team that needs me, needs my inputs. I can’t leave them out.

Even if I’m ready to give you Mirnaa — in whatever way you want — affair, friendship, or whatever… I’m still not convinced about your role here that’s worth Mirnaa.”

Bharath blinked. For the first time, he looked genuinely stunned.

“Are you telling me you’d allow me to have Mirnaa?”
Vikram’s voice was calm. “I’m not convinced about letting you have Mirnaa for mere deals.”

Bharath sat straight. “What do you expect?”
“You should say,” Vikram said. “Give me some reason that makes me consider allowing you near my Mirnaa.”

Bharath thought for a long moment.
“I will work without pay. Maybe I will get more clients.”
Vikram: “Not convinced.”

Bharath pushed the pendrive back toward him. “Keep it. I will destroy all the proofs.”
Vikram smiled faintly. “I don’t care even if you gave her this. I can explain to her. Not convinced.”

Bharath’s voice dropped. “What else do you want?”
“I said no money. More clients. Deleting records.”

Vikram said: “Nothing worth risking my Mirnaa.”

Bharath exhaled. “Okay. I surrender. I need Mirnaa. What should I do?

Should I join you now? I hear some consignments are in trouble.
Should I clear it right away without any advance?”

Vikram looked at his face for a long moment.

“If you are determined to have Mirnaa in a relationship…
Then you should not join me.
You need to join Aadharsh.”

Bharath stared. “What?”

Vikram leaned forward.
“Yes. Join him tomorrow. Raise your demand. Make him pay you.”

Bharath was confused.
“I don’t get it,” he said.

Vikram’s smile was small, dangerous.

“The only convincing thing for me — the risk worth getting Mirnaa — is you doing double-agent work.

Accept his offer.
Raise the stake.
And work for me.”

Vikram smiled shrewdly .While Bharath got terrorized.

Chapter 62 – Vikram's Mind Game

Vikram sat motionless in the rolling chair, the glow of the monitors behind him painting faint blue lines across his face.
Bharath sat opposite, tense, eyes locked on him, waiting for an answer.

Vikram didn't speak.
He didn't need to.

Inside his head, the entire game had already played out — every move,
every countermove,
every probability mapped and weighed.

This wasn't a conversation.

It was chess, and Vikram had been playing it alone for days.

He orchestrated this.
He predicted every single thing.
The moment he realized Bharath had been spying — the tailing through Rishi, the careful questions, the way Bharath’s gaze always drifted to Mirnaa without ever saying her name — Vikram had known this moment would come.

And he had already decided exactly how to turn it.

Right now his brain is conducting a question and answer session to cross check if all falls in places correctly!

Q: What does Bharath really want?
A: Mirnaa.

He’s obsessed. The hospital fall. The innocence. The naivety. He wants her slowly, willingly, no force. He thinks if I give him space — dates, moments, proximity — he can seduce her. He believes she’ll choose him.

Q: What happens if I say yes right now — hand her over?
A: He takes her.

Affair. Attention. Charm. Sex. Pleasure. He enjoys her. But then? One consignment slips. Aadharsh smells Bharath is working with Krish. He blocks him. Suspends him again. Cuts his links. Just like he did before. Bharath loses everything — access, power, Mirnaa. Empire crumbles. We lose.

Q: What happens if I say no — block him completely?
A: He has the pen drive.
Malavika clips. Warehouse beatings. Blood on my hands. He leaks it. Mirnaa finds out. Trust shatters. She leaves. Or stays broken. Bharath still loses — no network, no protection. Aadharsh wins anyway.

Q: In both cases, what’s the outcome?
A: Mirnaa gets used — literally or emotionally — and the empire falls.

Links go dead. Consignments stop. Team demoralizes. Aadharsh bypasses us. We’re finished.

Q: So what’s the only path that works?
A: Bharath in the shadows — like me.
Double agent. Inside Aadharsh’s radar. Trusted. Untouchable. Feeding me intel. Breaking him brick by brick from within. That’s the only way we survive — and win.

Q: But Bharath has no intent to do it for free or ideology.
A: Correct.
He won’t risk his neck for 20%, for “right thing,” for anything less than what he truly wants. His price is Mirnaa.

Q: How do I give him Mirnaa into an affair
A: I don’t give her. I let him try — slowly.
I create opportunities. Dates. Moments. Proximity. But I control the pace. I slow the seduction. I record everything — every meeting, every word, every step. I make him believe im orchestrating a seduction and he is closing gape between them and it looks real but in reality, before he proceed he will be removed by me by expose him to Aadharsh. He destroys him. I stay clean.

Q: And before that what he will do in Aadharsh fort??
A: He breaks Aadharsh from inside.
Consignments flow. Clients return. Volume builds. I will make him get trusted. When aadharsh goes relaxed with him, i will make aadahrsh do silly mistakes that costs. When Aadharsh is weak, when his empire is cracking, I cut the thread. Bharath is gone. Mirnaa is safe. Empire is saved. Aadharsh is punished. Bharath is punished.

Q: But is that not risky and tricky ?
A: Keeping control.
Yes its risky, I can’t let him rush. I can’t let him dictate. He thinks he’s seducing her. I make sure he never fully chooses — until I decide the game is over.

Vikram raised his head.

Bharath was staring at him, eyes wide, paranoid.

“Double agent?” Bharath asked again, voice almost breaking. “You’re serious.”

Vikram’s face stayed calm — unreadable.
“I’m listening,” he said simply.

“You said you want Mirnaa. I’m asking what you’re willing to do for her.”

Bharath exhaled sharply through his nose. A dark, bitter laugh escaped him.
“You’re insane.”

Vikram didn’t smile.

Chapter 63 – Deal Sealed – Rules Set

The hidden room was quiet except for the low hum of the monitors and the distant sound of waves crashing against the beach below.

Vikram sat behind the desk, rolling chair slightly reclined, fingers steepled. Bharath sat opposite, elbows on knees, eyes locked on Vikram’s face — a mix of suspicion, calculation, and barely contained hunger.

Bharath broke the silence first.
“Vikram… Aadharsh is dangerous. What happens if he finds out I’m working for you? Spying on him? Being a mole inside his own camp?”

Vikram didn’t flinch.
“He’s not as dangerous as you think,” he said calmly. “He never achieved anything on his own. He inherited everything. You can handle him.”

Bharath leaned forward, voice dropping.
“No. I mean his links. The people around him. The power houses. They’re stronger than he is. If they smell betrayal—”

Vikram cut in, tone even. “If you feel it’s too risky, let’s drop it. Walk away. No hard feelings.”

Bharath’s eyes narrowed. “I’m saying it’s risky.”

Vikram met his gaze without blinking.

“That risk is only worth it for Mirnaa.
And I’m here to make sure he never doubts you. I’ll protect you from the things he would never see coming.”

Bharath tilted his head. “Explain.”

Vikram leaned forward slightly, voice low and deliberate — like a teacher explaining a simple equation.

“Simple. When you join him, you’ll naturally start getting his deals done easily. He’ll see results. He’ll start trusting you. When he’s earning, when money is flowing, he won’t look too closely at your other jobs. In the shadow, you’ll operate your own network — small pieces, low profile. Aadharsh won’t care about Krish’s small dealings. He thinks he’s winning.

Once krish name gets registered in the circle — once people see krish and team is reliable — we up the game.

Meanwhile, all you have to do is slowly break their bricks. One by one. Make small, silly mistakes in Aadharsh’s business — minor losses to customers. Nothing big enough for him to notice or care. But the customers? They’ll see perfection on Krish’s side. Reliability. No mistakes. No drama.

Before Aadharsh even realizes it, half his clients will have quietly shifted to us.”

Bharath’s lips curved — slow, impressed.
“You’re shrewd,” he said.

Vikram didn’t smile. “I learned from the best.”

Bharath leaned back, crossing his arms.

“So what’s the plan with Mirnaa? When do I get to take her?”

Vikram’s expression didn’t change.

“That’s not simple. Until you join Aadharsh and make some solid moves — prove you’re inside, prove you’re useful — I can’t let you near her.”

Bharath’s jaw tightened. “No. Not possible. I’m starting with a risk. I need her when I start.”

Vikram tilted his head. “Didn’t you say you’d start with a date? Then friendship? Then the rest?”
Bharath hesitated. “I did, but—”

Vikram cut in smoothly. “Let’s be honest. As much as we trust each other right now, we both have lingering doubts about practical issues.

What if you step back after getting Mirnaa? I’ll have doubts.
You’ll have doubts like, What if I stop her after letting you deep inside Aadharsh’s camp?

To make this works lets plan something run parallel that keeps our trust intact, like when i get something you too get something
So i split it as — business and home — I’ve set up rules and procedures.”

Bharath stopped. His eyes narrowed.
“You already planned this?”

Vikram shook his head once. “No. I’m thinking on the spot.”
Bharath gave a low, dark laugh.go ahead
Vikram leaned forward.

“Let’s work together. You need to shift into my home. I’ll find a reasonable excuse — something natural.
Protection detail after the accident. Close friend helping out. Whatever works.
I’ll draw parallel connections between business and home.

Stage 1:
Business First Step — You join Aadharsh’s gang. Make necessary efforts to allow small consignments through your shadow network. Prove you’re valuable.
At home — You come to my house and befriend her. Nothing more. Just presence. Conversation. Trust-building. I watch. I guide.”
But to enter my home, I need to see you in Aadharsh Camp and one consignment at least has to reach my place.

Bharath’s eyes darkened. “Stage 2?”

Vikram continued, voice steady.
“Business — You make small, silly mistakes in Aadharsh’s deals. Minor losses.
Nothing he’ll notice or care about. But the customers? They’ll see perfection on our side.

At home — I’ll orchestrate incidents that leave you alone with her.
A little closer. I’ll give you heads-up when it’s safe to manipulate her a bit — charm her, make her laugh, make her feel safe. Nothing physical yet. May be something small like hug if you are lucky”

Bharath’s breathing grew shallower.
Stage 3 — Say 50% of clients shift to us. Aadharsh realizes, but the power houses have already moved. He’s too late.
At home — I will guide you to sexually involve with her. Slowly. Naturally. Friendship first. Trust blooming. Then fuck-friend.
Her walls crumbling softly under your charm.

This timeline also helps Mirnaa. Right now she has no idea what we’re scheming. It has to feel natural to her — escalation, friendship, date, love, then sex.
When I say stop — you emotionally detach from her. Immediately.”

And all these time, she wont be aware that i know this all along, she should think she is cheating.. That guilt is what going to get her back to me.

Bharath listened in silence. His own plans were clearly turning in his head.

Vikram continued, voice low.

“You may think — what if in the middle of the journey you risk overstepping with Mirnaa?
Simple. I will make everyone go down together. I will tip Aadharsh. You’ll be exposed. Finished.

When I’m ready to share Mirnaa — truly share her — you should understand I’m ready for anything.”
Bharath stared at him, stunned.

“What’s the next step?”
Vikram said: “Prove to me you’ll join him. Make the first move tomorrow. When i get a message of consignment arrival, I’ll make the necessary steps to let you stay here.

To get closer with mirna, i will give you headsup, i need you to tell the story i want.. lilke a movie script... I’ll give you further guidelines every day. You follow them only. I won’t give a full script in advance — I fear you would change it to your need.”

Bharath exhaled slowly.
“Fine.”

Vikram leaned back.

“You can go now — if you’re okay with these rules.”
He paused.
“One more thing. Major rule.”

Bharath waited.
“Only I orchestrate it slow — friendship first, trust blooming, then fuck-friend,

It has to be open. No secret fucks. I need to be informed.

No sharing. No Third Party, No Photo or Videographs.  No secrets. No force on her. No overruling. No beating. Remember — she is my wife. She deserves respect.

If anything happens… you know which wire I’ll choose.”

Bharath stared at him for a long moment.

Then he stood.
“Deal.”

He walked to the door.
Paused.
Turned.

“When do I move in?”
Vikram smiled — small, cold.
“Soon after the consignment reaches, i will text you”

Bharath nodded once.
Then he left.

Vikram sat alone.
The monitors glowed.
