“A movie sounds perfect,” Ravi said softly, blinking and tearing his gaze away from her for a moment. “What time are we thinking?”
 
“Around 5:00pm,” Amit suggested with his usual enthusiasm, grinning as he clapped his hands together. “That way we can grab dinner afterward. Just a small treat for the weekend.”
 
Priya Didi smiled, her lips curving up at the edges. “Dinner sounds like a good idea. We haven’t had a chance to go out in a while,” she said, her voice light but full of warmth. “It’ll be a nice change.”
 
“Exactly,” Amit said, a wide grin stretching across his face as he looked between them. “I’ll go book the tickets. How about we meet at 4:30 to get ready?”
 
They all agreed, and as the afternoon passed, the atmosphere in the apartment was light and easy. Amit had gone off to get the tickets, leaving Priya Didi and Ravi to continue with the preparations for the evening.
 
Ravi found himself often stealing glances at Priya Didi as she moved around the house, the soft, dark saree trailing behind her, the rich color playing against the soft hues of the light. He felt a quiet ache in his chest, a longing he didn’t quite understand, but one he couldn’t ignore.
 
By 4:30, the three of them were getting ready. Amit had dressed in his usual sharp, casual way, looking effortlessly put-together in a navy blue shirt and light pants. But it was Priya Didi who caught Ravi’s attention the moment she emerged from the bedroom.
 
She was stunning, the dark saree had been carefully dbangd around her, the fabric falling around her frame with soft fluidity. Her skin, pale and smooth, looked even more luminous against the maroon fabric, as if the saree itself had been chosen to highlight her ethereal beauty.
 
The deep color contrasted beautifully with the soft shine of her complexion, and Ravi found himself unable to look away.
 
“You look incredible, Didi,” he murmured, his voice almost reverent as he watched her adjust a few loose strands of hair.
 
She paused, meeting his gaze with a soft, knowing smile. “Thank you, Ravi. You don’t look so bad yourself,” she teased, her lips curling with that playful warmth he had missed for so long.
 
Ravi felt a warm rush of happiness at her words, the small compliment enough to make him feel like he was floating. Her presence, her beauty, was like a soft magnet pulling at his heart. He smiled back, unable to stop the feeling bubbling inside him.

Amit, who had been busy in the other room, returned to see them both ready to go. “Looking good, you two,” he said with an approving nod, his eyes twinkling. “Let’s get going before we miss the start of the movie.”
 
The evening air was cool as they stepped outside, and the city around them hummed with energy as they made their way to the car. Ravi felt light, the tension that had once marked his days slipping away.
 
The drive to the movie theater was full of laughter and small talk, Amit discussing his usual penchant for food, Priya Didi gently teasing him, and Ravi listening quietly, content just to be in their company.
 
By 5:00, they arrived at the theater, the atmosphere buzzing with excitement as the crowd filtered in. They made their way to the ticket counter, and the clerk showed them the remaining available seats.
 
The only option for three together was F1, F2, F3, located on the far left side of the row, right next to the wall. There weren’t many choices, so they went ahead and purchased the tickets for those seats.
 
Once inside the theater, they walked toward the row, Ravi leading the way to F1 on the far left. Priya Didi followed him, and Amit took his seat next to her in F3, toward the middle.
 
The row was nearly full, and as they settled into their spots, the lights began to flicker and dim, signaling that the movie was about to start. Ravi, now seated next to the wall, could feel Priya Didi just a few inches away in F2, the quiet scent of her perfume lingering in the air.
 
As the theater quieted and the screen lit up with the opening scenes, Ravi found his mind racing. The warmth of Priya Didi’s presence beside him was undeniable, the gentle curve of her shoulder brushing his ever so slightly, the soft glow of her face in the dimmed light.
 
For a moment, he could almost feel the soft breath from her side, and he couldn’t help but feel a tightening in his chest.
 
The anticipation of the movie was overshadowed by the awareness of just how close she was. 

His pulse quickened, not from the story unfolding on the screen, but from the proximity to her, the feeling of her warmth just beside him.
 
Ravi tried to focus on the movie, but his thoughts kept wandering back to her, the way her body seemed to settle so naturally beside him, the soft rustling of her saree when she adjusted slightly in her seat.
 
The darkness of the theater only made everything feel more intimate, more intense, and Ravi’s mind struggled to find a rhythm between the movie and the pull of his emotions.
 
There was no time to think much more about it, though, the movie had begun in earnest. Yet Ravi couldn’t shake the feeling that the real story unfolding wasn’t on the screen, but in the quiet moments between him and Priya Didi, sitting so close, yet so far away.

Hi Friends

 
I just wanted to share a quick update. My husband and I will be heading on a short trip to the West Coast this week. It's a mix of work and leisure, we’ll be in San Francisco starting Thursday (don't worry, this is just Tuesday late night), and we won’t be back until late Tuesday night.
 
The first couple of days (Thursday and Friday) will be work-related for him, and after that, we’ll be taking some time off to relax until Tuesday. We’ll be flying back to the East Coast on Tuesday evening.
 
I’ll do my best to stay on top of things and provide updates, but please note that I’ll only have access to my tablet during the trip (I’m not bringing my laptop). As a result, my responses might be a bit slower than usual, so I appreciate your patience over the next few days!
