Update 31

There were sitting silently in the room at each corner of the bed, looking away from each other. Nithi was feeling ashamed to look into Sukanya’s eyes. She contemplated on lying to her when she caught her talking on phone, but she wanted to be true to her. She, now, regretted for telling her the truth. She felt like an outcast. The silence was killing her more than her guilty conscious. After a few minutes, she sprang up the bed as if she had made a life changing decision. She rushed to her bag and stuffed all her clothes and item into her bag. She hated to part from her because although their relationship was very brief, she felt that she had found a true friend for the first time in her life. She hated to break that friendship. She picked her bag and walked towards the door. Sukanya noticed that she was carrying her bag, she suddenly realized that she was oblivious to her surroundings for quite some time.
Sukanya: Where are you going?
Nithi stopped as if a movie was paused on the TV. She didn’t move, but also did not look into her eyes. She stood still. Sukanya walked towards her.
Sukanya: Why do you have to move out? If you don’t like staying with me, just tell, I’ll leave.
Nithi looked into her eyes.
Nithi: Why should I not like you? I know you must be hating me, rather cursing me.
Sukanya: Why would I do that?
Nithi: Because I’m a bad lady. I know I’m a bad lady.
Sukanya: You are just a lady, not a bad one.
Nithi looked at her in surprise. Sukanya snatched the bag from her and took it to the shelf. Nithi still stayed there unable to comprehend the situation.
Sukanya: Come. Sit here. (She called her to sit beside her on the bed.)
She hesitantly walked towards the bed and sat beside her, looking away from her. There was silence again. Suddenly Nithi felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned towards her.
Sukanya: I really don’t hate you. Instead, I love you for being honest with me.
Nithi: (pleasantly surprised) Don’t you think I’m doing the wrong thing?
Sukanya: That I can’t say. All I can say is that you have the right to find your happiness… Without hurting anyone.
Nithi heaved a sigh of relief. She gave a mild smile.
Nithi: I love my husband a lot. But he is too busy at work. I feel lonely sometimes.
Sukanya: I understand.
Nithi: How can you understand the pain of a lonely married woman?
Sukanya: (with hesitation) Well, I’m married too.
Nithi: (shocked) What? (she almost shouted)
Sukanya put her finger on her lips and asked her to keep her voice down, and laughed at her exaggerated expression.
Nithi: No one would believe you are married.
Nithi: By the way, why did you hide your marital status?
Sukanya: I do not want my classmates to call me aunty.
Nithi: Who will dare call you aunty? You are the sexiest girl in the whole college.
Sukanya: Come on now. Shut up.
Nithi: Do you also feel lonely?

Nithi acknowledged the risk factor and agreed to her advice. She was also happy that someone cares for her so much. She hugged her and rested her head on Sukanya’s shoulder.
Next day they were supposed to go to the backwaters. After dinner everyone retired to their rooms. As they were tired, they decided to sleep early. Sukanya thought of checking her messages before she went to sleep. She received a few messages from her husband and also Meena. She responded to everyone.
Raghav: Hey baby. How are you doing? How’s your trip. Terribly missing you. Come back soon.
Sukanya: I miss you more. I wish I be with you sooner. Until then (Kisses emojis)
Immediately Raghav responded.
Raghav: Had your dinner darling?
Sukanya: Yeah, What about you?
Raghav: Had my dinner, but still feeling hungry ?
Their romantic chat continued for some time and then, ended with a good night kiss.
She then responded to Meena.
Meena: My dear Suk… How’s it going there? All good?
Sukanya: All good dear. Having some fun. I know you should be busy. I’ll ping you in the morning.
She kept the phone and got ready to sleep. She covered herself with a bedsheet and looked aside and found that Nithi was also covered with bedsheet. She assumed that she’s sleeping and was about to cover her face when she saw light coming out from within the bedsheet. She understood that she was chatting by covering herself with the bedsheet. It was clearly evident that she was chatting with Vijay. She smiled to herself and wrapped herself with the bedsheet. Just then Nithi got up from the bed and was about to go to the bathroom. She saw that Sukanya was wrapped in her bedsheet.
Sukanya fell asleep, but woke up shortly. She needed to use the bathroom. She got up from the bed and quietly walked in the dimly lit room. The weather was chill and the floor was cold. She hugged herself and slowly walked to the bathroom half sleepily. She pushed open the door and was shocked by the sight. There was Nithi, fully nude, exposing her body to someone on mobile camera. Her one hand was on one of her boobs, holding it and slightly pressing it, while her other hand was holding the mobile. As soon as she saw Sukanya, she was in shock and her mobile slipped from her hand, dropping it down. Sukanya immediately turned around and went back to her bed. While she walked, she heard the voice of the caller at the other end – ‘Hello. Hey darling. Are you there?’
She ended the call saying, - ‘My phone fell down. I can’t talk now. Bye.’
She quickly slipped her nighty over her head and rushed out of the bathroom. As she walked into the dimly lit room, she did not know the status of Sukanya. As she adjusted to the low light, she noticed that Sukanya was on bed, wrapped in her bedsheet. She did not have the courage to talk to her as she was ashamed by continuous events. She felt so shameless. She quietly got onto her bed and covered herself with her bedsheet. Both of them slept without a word. Nithi woke up early the next morning, but she kept her eyes closed with the fear and shame of facing Sukanya. She did not know how much time had elapsed, but she remained lying on the bed, face down. She heard some commotion, but she did not budge. She heard the sound of the door closing and then again, some closing and opening of the door. Nithi understood what it was, but she remained still. Then again, she heard the door open and then again, the sound of the bedroom door bolted from above. She did not respond to any sounds. She just laid there, hoping Sukanya would walk out for breakfast when she can get up from the bed. Some time had elapsed and then felt a tap on her shoulder. She could not act any longer. She turned her head up and saw Sukanya fresh out of bath in a nighty and towel wound around her head.
Sukanya: I see that the bathroom door is not getting locked. You close the bedroom door latches properly before going to bath.
Saying that she walked towards the wardrobe. She picked out her bag and started looking for the dress she would be wearing that day. Meanwhile Nithi was preparing to talk something, but she did not know what to talk. Sukanya understood her state of mind. She spoke to her while she was still looking into her bag.
Sukanya: Hey Nithi. Stop being worried about what happened last night. It was my mistake. I was such a sleepy head that I did not see the light in the bathroom. Actually, I was embarrassed.
Nithi: Are you… Are you cool with me?
Sukanya: (Stopping the search, turning back to look at her) Absolutely.
Nithi, smiled at her with a sense of relief.

The next and the final day of the trip was supposed to be amusement park. Everybody geared up for the fun. They started at around 8 AM. As usual Nithi took the seat beside Sukanya. Ragini crossed them to find an empty seat and took a seat beside Priya. She had a guilty look on her face, but Sukanya did not care. The ride was a calm one. They reached the Amusement park by 9:30 AM. Prof. Srini procured the tickets for everyone and instructed them about the meeting points and time for lunch and exit so that they can enjoy whatever rides they want and gather at a common point.
Prof. Srini: Come on boys and girls. Have a nice time.
Everyone rushed in with joy. As Sukanya was about to go past him, he advised her.
Prof. Srini: Hey Sukanya. Stay with the group. Don’t stray too far.
Sukanya smiled in response and nodded in affirmative. They all walked in, looking around for their favorite rides. Nithi stayed with Sukanya. She kept looking at her, holding a smile. Sukanya observed that.
Sukanya: What are you so amused about? I see you are holding something.
Nithi: Nothing dear. Just that everyone cares so much about you.
Sukanya: What do you mean?
Nithi: Prof. Srini cares so much about you.
Sukanya: He cares about everyone.
Nithi: He didn’t advise everyone.
Sukanya: I don’t know. Maybe he does.
Nithi: Maybe he has an eye on you.




Sukanya: You stupid. You don’t know what to talk and what not?
She chased Nithi in mock anger and they ran around. 
They then reconciled and stared walking together, looking for suitable rides. Sukanya spotted Ragini and Shiva together. Shiva seems to be seriously asking something to Ragini and she was presumably refusing. Sukanya didn’t knew that they were this close. She ignored them and kept walking. She wondered how She was not associated with Praveen when she knew that he would try his best to be with her. Maybe the circumstances and her new friendship had been partly responsible. She then noticed Praveen who was kind of sad and disappointed, walking alone without any interest. She felt sad for him.
Nithi: Is he cute?
Sukanya: Who?
Nithi: The one you were looking at.
Sukanya: Idiot. I was just looking why he is sad when he’s supposed to be enjoying.
Nithi: Maybe he’s missing a company.
Sukanya: Why don’t you give him company?
Nithi: Probably I’m not the company he seeks.
She said and gave a naughty wink. Sukanya again chased her in mock anger. 



She got hold of her.
Sukanya: You should keep your mouth shut. You don’t have control.
They went looking for rides. They started with the giant wheel. They sat together and the wheel spun. It was a huge wheel and when they rose to the top, they could see the whole surrounding. When the wheel descended, they held their hands and screamed in joy. Next, they went to the wonder splash where the train will slide down from a steep point and splash into the water. They took the front seat. They waited for the train to fill.
Sukanya: I think you must be cursing me for hanging on to you.
Nithi: What non-sense? Why would I feel that way?
Sukanya: You would have tagged with Vijay and had fun. I’m being a hindrance, right?
She thought of pulling her legs, but Nithi quickly responded.
Nithi: I think you’re more worried that you’re not able to tag with Praveen.
She giggled in a taunting way. Sukanya knocked her with her elbow in a playful way.
Sukanya: That’s ridiculous. How did you come up with that theory?
Nithi: He played your Romeo in that college play right?
Sukanya: What? Are you crazy? (She laughed)
Nithi: Alright. You say I preferred Vijay to be with me. Let’s take a hypothetical situation. Whom do you prefer to tag with?
Sukanya: You, of course.
Nithi: Not me. Some male.
Sukanya: (Without a second thought) My husband.
She said, but in a whisper.
Nithi: Ok. Correction. Some male from our batch.
Sukanya: No one.
Nithi: This is just a game. Just a name right.
Sukanya: Alright. If you want a name, Vijay. (She giggled)
Nithi: Are you serious?
Sukanya: Hey, no. Just messing with you.
Nithi: Not at all. I don’t mind. I’ve got no strings attached with him.
Sukanya: Good.
Nithi: Now, tell me. Vijay?
Sukanya: Hell, no.
Nithi: Then…
Sukanya: Alright. If you want a name, go for Praveen.
Nithi: Oh! Romeo?
Sukanya: Oh! Stop it.
The boys were so eager to share the rides with the girls. Many of them had their eyes on Sukanya. Next Nithi suggested to go for pirate ship. It’s a boat which swings to and fro. The last row is always the favourite seats as they give maximum thrills. As they went, there was Praveen along with Prof. Srini.
Prof. Srini: Hey girls. Having fun?
Nithi: Yes sir. Having so much fun. Never enjoyed so much before.
As they were talking the previous ride came to an end. As the ship became empty, there was a rush which was ready to occupy. Sukanya got into the last seat. Praveen who was nearby quickly occupied the seat beside her.
Prof. Srini: You are right. But we need to quickly pick a seat or we’ll have to wait for the next round.
He quickly found a seat two rows before them which means they will be facing away from them. Prof. Srini got hold of a seat and invited Nithi to take that seat. Nithi walked towards that seat, but looked at Sukanya and subtly gave a naughty smile and a thumbs up. Sukanya gave a mock angry stare. She smiled and sat beside Prof. Srini. They expected it to be less fun, but as the ship rose high and descended, their adrenaline pumped like anything and heard screams of thrill everywhere. Praveen knew he couldn’t get a better chance. He also missed her for so long as he was not able to get intimate with her, even on chat. He intertwined his hand with her hand as she screamed in joy. He also screamed with her. Prof. Srini: Alright guys. Let’s assemble for lunch in 30 minutes. Tell it to others as well.
They nodded and walked away aimlessly. Praveen also walked in another direction, but never far away from them to let them off his sight. Nithi was giving audible smiles with sounds like clearing her throat.
Sukanya: What?
Nithi: Nothing.
Sukanya: If you have anything, speak up.
Nithi: I’m speechless. (she winked)
Sukanya: Then don’t speak. (mock anger)
Nithi: Looks like you had a nice ride. I saw you both were holding hands.
Sukanya was glad that she did not notice Praveen poking his hands at her boob and rubbing it. (Yes, she knew it, but acted ignorant)
Sukanya: I would have done the same if you were with me. It was the thrill moment and harmless.
Nithi: Yes, for you. But did you think about the poor boy? What harm it would have caused to his innocent mind. (She joked)

Sukanya: Forget about us. Talk to me about your ride.

Sukanya: I saw that Prof. Srini seemed to have a good time.
Nithi: Stop it di. He held on to me as he was just scared as his bp might have raised.
Sukanya: (Mind voice) I believe something else would have raised.
Nithi: He’s a poor old man.
Sukanya: (Mind voice) Poor old man? You should have seen him in the falls. He’s a monster who can make Vijay look like a dwarf. Probably he can make you scream more than you did during the ride.
Nithi: What are you thinking?
Sukanya: Nothing
