Sirisha tapped her phone again,
Another soft, romantic Hindi track filled the air.
Old-college. Soulful. Something about it felt like a page from a time when glances held more weight than words.
She looked over her shoulder.
“Lie down if you want,” she said, half-casually, half-suggestively. “You look like you need it.”
Ravi smiled, unsure whether she meant rest or recovery from what had just happened.
Still, he lay back slowly, resting against the curve of her small, pillowy mattress.
The scent of her room was warm, like fresh cotton, body lotion, and a hint of jasmine from her hair.
She lay next to him on her side.
Not far.
Not touching.
But close enough that her arm brushed his sleeve.
Her top slid just a bit up her waist, revealing a delicate strip of fair skin.
She didn’t adjust it.
Maybe she didn’t notice.
Maybe she didn’t want to.
Her head leaned just slightly toward him.
Her hair spread across the pillow like dark silk, catching a bit of sunlight from the window.
A few strands danced near his shoulder, as if reaching for him.
The music shifted into a slower rhythm.
Ravi turned his head. And there she was.

Sirisha.
Up close like this, she looked unreal.
Her features soft and luminous, skin glowing faintly under the filtered afternoon light.
Her lips had a gentle fullness, parted slightly in thought.
Her long lashes fluttered as she looked up at the ceiling, and then, slowly, toward him.
Their eyes met.
Her crop top hugged her upper body, outlining the natural curve of her chest as she lay turned partly toward him.
The light denim jeans she wore rode up a little at her hips, revealing just a peek of her narrow waistline.
Where her top ended and her jeans began, a slim band of her midriff was exposed.
Her belly was smooth and inviting, with the softest curve as she shifted slightly.
Ravi’s gaze fell, just for a moment, at the gentle rise and fall of her chest,
The outline of her breasts pressing naturally beneath the fabric.
The fabric stretched slightly near the seams, drawing his attention and then making him quickly blink it away.
“What?” she whispered, catching his glance.
Ravi opened his mouth. No words came.
Sirisha smiled, wicked and innocent all at once.
“You look like you're about to write poetry again.”
“Maybe I am,” he murmured.
“Don’t forget the part where the girl’s heart beats faster,”
she said, placing her hand gently over her chest. “Right here.”
Ravi turned a bit on his side, facing her now, the space between them shrinking even more.

“What else should I add?” He asked, voice husky, low.
Sirisha’s fingers tapped the air in thought.
“Something about her breathing... becoming softer. Her lips... not knowing whether to smile or speak.”
He stared at her lips as she said that.
“And her eyes?” he asked, barely above a whisper.
“They want to close,” she said. “But they don’t... because she wants to watch him... just a little longer.”
Their faces were now so close he could feel her breath when she exhaled.
The music played on, but they were no longer listening.
Her knee brushed against his.
His fingers twitched by his side.
But no one moved farther.
And no one dared move closer.
Sirisha turned her face just a little, so she lay back again
This time her arm resting between them.
A silent barrier.
A quiet permission.
“Bhayya…” she whispered, eyes fluttering shut.
“I like when you look at me like that.”
It didn’t need a reply.
The air was charged.
Ravi lay still, heart thudding, lips dry,
His eyes tracing the side of her body,
The light rise of her hip, the smoothness of her waist,
And the gentle line where her jeans hugged her curves.
The perfume lingered on her neck.
The warmth of her body radiated across the inches between them.
And for now, that was all there was.
A moment so breathlessly close,
It could only belong to memory.

Hi readersp
Thank you so much for the compliments.
Haha, that’s the big question, isn’t it?
Both Neetu and Sirisha have their own agendas, but I am going make one of them to take a bold step first... I want to keep that as a suspense for a few more scenes.
What do you think? Who’s more likely to cross the line? and Who you like to be cross first?
Hahaha
Thank you again for all your support.
With warm regards

A Sudden Reminder
The stillness between them hung like a delicate silk thread.
The warmth.
The scent.
The unspoken nearness.
Sirisha had closed her eyes.
She wasn’t asleep, but she wasn’t speaking either.
And Ravi stayed right there, frozen in time, watching her breathe.
He couldn’t tell how long they had been lying like this.
Five minutes? Ten?
Then
Ding.
A soft chime echoed from the table.
It was his phone. He had left it charging on the table.
Another ding.
Then a vibration.
A third message.
Sirisha’s eyes fluttered open.
She turned to him, her voice dreamy and slow.
“Your phone’s calling you back to the real world, Bhayya…”
He looked at her, still lost.
“Looks like it’s not done with you yet.”
Ravi sighed, sitting up slowly, not ready to leave this warmth.
But the spell had shifted.

A moment like that Once paused, never resumes the same way again.
He stood, ran a hand through his hair, and moved to the table.
The messages were from his office Slack group,
A gentle reminder that he still had one or two things to check before signing off for the day.
And then, as if the universe had decided to push him out the door, another ping came in, a WhatsApp message from Vamsi.
“Ravi bhai, got some snacks for evening. Come down to 401 if you're free around 6.”
Ravi smiled, Vamsi does not know I am already in 401. A cue he didn’t even know he needed.
“I think I’ll step out for a bit,” he said,
Turning to Sirisha who was now lazily sitting up,
Stretching her arms above her head like a cat.
Her top lifted a fraction, teasing more skin than she realized.
Or maybe she did.
She gave him a mock pout.
“Escaping from my room already?”
“I might return with a better excuse next time,” he replied, half-smiling.
Sirisha grinned and tossed a pillow at him.
“You better.”
As he opened the door, he heard her say
“Don’t forget the poem.”
He paused. Looked back.
She was sitting on the bed, legs folded, her hair a tangled, beautiful mess,
And her cheeks still faintly flushed.
“And Bhayya…” she added, her voice softer, “thank you... for just being you.”
Ravi nodded once.
“Should we tell this to Neetu Bhabhi?”, she asked, question in her face
“There is nothing tell, we didn't do anything, right? ... But if we do something it is fine to tell her as we are all in the circle of trust.”
That was enough.
He stepped out of 401, the warm weight of the moment still clinging to his chest.
The hallway felt colder somehow.
Quieter.
But 205 was just a few steps away.
And inside that flat… waited another kind of silence.
One that smelled like Priya Didi’s jasmine soap.

Thursday, 6:15 PM – Silence, Solitude, and a Slow Exhale
The door of 205 clicked shut behind him, and Ravi stood still.
The silence inside his flat wrapped around him like a warm, familiar blanket,
A stark contrast to the vibrant chaos he’d just stepped out of.
The air was still, touched faintly with the scent of Priya Didi’s jasmine-infused fabric softener,
Lingering from the morning laundry.
It reminded him of her, and for a moment, the image of her smiling over lunch flickered in his mind.
But it faded quickly, pushed aside by the intensity of the last few hours.
He exhaled, long and slow, like letting go of something he didn’t realize he was holding.
Still wearing the soft memory of Neetu’s voice in his ears,
And the playful gleam in Sirisha’s eyes,
He walked quietly to the bathroom and splashed cold water on his face.
Droplets clung to his jaw as he looked at himself in the mirror.
What the hell is happening? he wondered.
His shirt still carried the faintest whiff of her perfume.
That soft, floral-spice note where he had sprayed it, on her neck, was now a haunting imprint,
Not just in scent, but in memory.
The way she turned her face slightly, the way her damp hair stuck to her collarbone,
How she had looked up at him with half a smile.
It wasn’t just flirtation.

It had been something more complex.
More adult. More dangerous.
And then there was Sirisha, that teasing twist of her lips, the curve of her waist as she leaned forward,
Her boldness flickering between innocence and provocation.
The way she had stretched her arms back over her head like a cat, the way her crop top had risen,
Revealing the soft line of her stomach…
He had never seen her like that before.
So close. So playful.
So alive in her own space.
He walked to the small window, pushed it open, and let the cool breeze in.
It wasn’t guilt he was feeling. Not exactly.
It was… overwhelm.
Ravi had always been in control of himself, calm, observant, reserved.
But these past few days had pulled something deeper out of him.
A longing. A need.
And for the first time, he didn’t know if he wanted to resist it.
He flopped onto the couch, letting his head rest back.
The fan above creaked lazily.
Somewhere outside, a child laughed in the distance.
The quiet hum of 205 slowly seeped into his bones.
He needed this.
Just for a few minutes.
He closed his eyes.
And he smiled.
Not because he had answers.
But because he finally had questions worth asking.

Hi readersp
Thank you so much.
Hahaha, not stretching, just setting the plot nicely, so that when they cross the line it would be great. I’m definitely having fun writing it.
The twists and turns are just getting started, so stay tuned!
Warm regards

Thursday, 6:45 PM – A Message from Her
Ravi smiled as he walked into his flat, still feeling the warmth and mischief of the afternoon.
It was almost evening, the sky slowly transitioning from soft orange to a gentle blue,
Casting a warm hue through the living room window.
He poured himself a glass of water and dropped into the sofa, finally letting his body relax.
Just then, a notification popped up on his phone.
Priya Didi:
"Hope you're feeling better now. Took a while to wind down here too."
He smiled.
Ravi:
"A little. Today’s been... intense."
A moment passed before her reply came.
Priya Didi:
"That’s a good word for it."
He paused, fingers hovering over the keyboard.
He wanted to say more, so much more.
But her tone was still guarded.
Closer than before, yes. Warmer, maybe. But there were still unspoken things between them.
Ravi:
"Missed our evening talks, though. Tea doesn’t taste the same alone."
This time, she took a few seconds.
Priya Didi:
"I miss them too. It’s just... I needed some time."
He nodded slowly, even though she couldn’t see him. He understood. He always did.

Ravi:
"I get it. Take all the time you need. I’m here."
The typing indicator blinked. Then stopped. Then blinked again.
Priya Didi:
"You’ve been really sweet through all this. Thanks."
Priya Didi:
"Ravi..."
He blinked.
The single word somehow carried more weight than entire sentences.
A moment later, another message came.
Priya Didi:
"You know... sometimes, a little distance makes us see what we were missing."
He sat up, heart stilled, gaze fixed on the screen.
Priya Didi:
"It’s strange. I thought silence would help me get back to normal. To be more... composed. But it didn’t. It just made me miss you more."
Ravi:
"Didi..."
Priya Didi:
"Please. Let me speak for a bit."
He didn’t type again. He waited. She continued.
Priya Didi:
"I didn’t stop talking to you because I was upset. Not really. I was just... confused. About myself. About how easily you’d become so important to me. I thought taking a few steps back would help me breathe."
Priya Didi:
"But all it did was make the air heavier. I missed your voice. Your teasing. Your silent kindness. Even your presence in the same room... gave me a kind of comfort I couldn’t explain."
Ravi let out a slow breath. His fingers finally moved.
Ravi:
"Didi, I never wanted to make things harder for you. I just didn’t want to vanish from your world."
Priya Didi:
"You didn’t. In fact, the opposite. I saw you everywhere. Even in silence."
There was a pause. Then came a sudden shift in her words.

Priya Didi:
"And that day... I saw the way Sirisha looks at you. You probably didn’t notice it, but I did. And it made something in me ache."
Ravi:
"Didi..."
Priya Didi:
"No, listen. She’s young, bright, lovely. And she clearly enjoys your company. And it struck me... what if someone else walks in and takes your place in my day? What if you drift away because I pushed you back?"
Priya Didi:
"I can’t let that happen, Ravi. I don’t want to lose what we have. What you mean to me."
His fingers hovered. A hundred thoughts came rushing through. He didn’t know what to say first. But she saved him the trouble.
Priya Didi:
"You are one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Tall, fair, charming... and yet, no arrogance. No games. Just... Ravi."
Priya Didi:
"And maybe that’s why I kept you at a distance. Because it’s too easy to care for you. Too easy to smile when you’re around."
Ravi leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, his chest quietly full. He typed slowly:
Ravi:
"I never asked for more than your smile, Didi. But I’ll always be here. In your corner. As long as you want me."
Priya Didi:
"I do. I want you in my world. Just closer. Not confused. Not distant."
Ravi:
"Then we begin again. No more silences."
Priya Didi:
"Promise?"
Ravi:
"On every evening we never talked. I promise."
Her typing paused for a long while.
Priya Didi:
"I’m going to sleep with a lighter heart tonight. Goodnight, Ravi."
Ravi:
"Goodnight, Didi. Sweet dreams."
He stared at the final message, a small smile playing on his lips. Not everything needed fixing. Some bonds, if real, always found their way back.

Haha, yes, this is the time for Priya Didi to prepare for her landing. I am just making the ground clean. She will be back in a couple of weeks. Ravi’s in for a wild ride, that’s for sure!
Glad you’re enjoying it. The drama’s only going to heat up from here!
Thanks for the awesome feedback!
Warm regards

A Quiet Dinner Alone
Ravi leaned back on the couch,
Still holding his phone,
The last message from Priya Didi glowing gently on the screen:
"I’m going to sleep with a lighter heart tonight. Goodnight, Ravi."
His heart was full, and yet... calm.
The kind of calm that came after a passing storm.
Not all clarity came with words, but tonight,
Her words had brought him the kind of peace he'd missed for days.
Just then, his phone rang.
Vamsi.
Ravi smiled. He picked up, his voice gentle.
“Hey Vamsi.”
“Raviii! What are you doing, man? I was just telling Neetu, we should drag you here for dinner.”
“It’s too quiet without you. What you do alone there, man” Vamsi’s cheerful voice echoed.
Ravi chuckled softly, “Tempting. But not tonight, Vamsi.”
“Had a bit of a long day… and I already ordered something. Just waiting on delivery.”
“Aah! Playing the lonely philosopher tonight, huh?” Vamsi teased.
“You could say that,” Ravi smiled.
“Needed a night to myself. Hope you understand.”
Vamsi paused, then warmly said,
“Of course, man. Any time you feel like stepping out, just come down. Door’s always open.”
“Thanks. Really. Say hi to Neetu for me.”
“I will. Take care, Ravi.”
Ravi hung up and sank deeper into the couch.
He opened the food app, kept it simple.
Paneer tikka, garlic naan, and a bowl of dal tadka.
Familiar comfort.
When it arrived, he plated it neatly on his dining table.
The silence of the apartment didn’t feel lonely tonight, it felt earned.
Like a space held for healing.
He took slow bites, staring at the quiet corners of the room, occasionally glancing at his phone where Priya’s chat still waited.
Her face came alive in his mind, the glow when she smiled, the sincerity in her eyes, the gentle regret when she admitted missing him.
He whispered softly to himself, "She still wants me around..."
And the warmth of those words carried him through the meal.
After dinner, he rinsed his plate, put the leftovers away,
And stood by the window for a moment, watching the stars blink quietly above the city.
He didn’t feel alone.
Not tonight.
