Hi readersp

Thank you so much! That means a lot! I’m really glad the thoughts are coming across as fluid.

Honestly, it’s the characters themselves that make it easy to let the words flow.

They have their own voices and personalities, so it’s just a matter of letting them lead the way!

Appreciate your kind words!

With warm regards

Hi Raj087

Hahaha...

I see you're eagerly waiting, but please understand, that won't happen immediately.

There are a few more episodes to go before we even get close to that moment.

It may not happen in next couple of days, so hang in there please!

And I truly appreciate your continued support, it means a lot.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the journey so far, and there are still lots of fun moments ahead!

With warm regards

Thursday Morning – Project, Beauty, and Unsaid Currents in 401

Ravi followed Sirisha up the stairs, still holding the printouts she had requested.

She was half a step ahead, her long ponytail bouncing playfully with every stride.

The way her sweatshirt swung slightly with her movement,

Revealing slivers of her waist now and then, made it almost unfair to call it a “normal workday.”

Flat 401 was quiet when they entered.

Morning sunlight streamed in from the east-facing windows, casting golden shadows across the tiled floor.

Sirisha turned back to him as they stepped in, her smile wide and cheerful, “Neetu bhabhi’s making tea for us.”

She headed toward the table, motioning him to follow.

“Let’s quickly settle down before she comes and distracts you.”

Ravi smirked and placed the papers down. “I thought you were the distraction.”

She raised a brow with mock offense. “That’s rude! I am your project manager, Bhayya.”

As she sat down, her cropped top once again rode up slightly, exposing the delicate dip of her belly.

Her skin was pale, radiant, with the freshness of youth.

Her jeans hugged her like they were tailored for her alone,

And the way she leaned forward while scrolling through her laptop made Ravi’s eyes catch details he shouldn't have

The curve of her side, the slight arch of her back, the gentle way her body moved with breath.

But then, just as Ravi managed to blink away his thoughts,

Neetu stepped into the room,  and time slowed again.

She was in a soft peach cotton kurta with subtle embroidery and a matching dupatta.

Neetu's hair was loosely tied back

A few strands falling around her temples.

She looked like the epitome of calm, yet every movement she made carried an underlying sensuality,

Like she was aware of her effect on the room but didn’t announce it.

The kurta clung to her shape in places, especially around her chest and waist,

And her dupatta had slipped ever so slightly down her left shoulder,

Offering a fleeting glimpse of the strap of her innerwear.

Ravi noticed, then immediately looked away, heart stuttering.

“Ravi, tea,” she said softly,

Offering the cup with a gentle smile that somehow lingered longer than it should have.

Sirisha giggled, “See! Told you we would treat you well today.”

He smiled, forcing his focus back to the laptop in front of him, “This feels like a bribe.”

Sirisha leaned in, her voice teasing. “Well, Bhayya... Whatever makes you to work from here.”

He chuckled, but even as he tried to look at the screen, his senses were flooded,

Sirisha’s perfume was soft and young, something fruity, while Neetu’s was a touch stronger, floral and mature.

It was a contrast that echoed in everything about them, playful energy in one, quiet power in the other.

They worked for a while, Sirisha asking questions, showing him her UI mockups,

And Ravi patiently correcting and guiding her.

Her fingers occasionally brushed his hand on the mousepad.

Once, her knee tapped against his. Ravi didn’t flinch.

She didn’t either.

But her cheeks flushed slightly, and she bit her lip for a second before refocusing.

Neetu stayed mostly in the kitchen, though she wandered in a couple of times with some reason or the other.

Ravi’s eyes would drift toward her without meaning to.

Her silhouette through the semi-sheer kitchen door,

The way she tucked her hair as she stood near the window

It all felt like a calm flame flickering quietly in the background of this otherwise bright morning.

“Bhayya,” Sirisha suddenly said, dragging his attention back.

“You’re zoning out again. Are you tired or distracted?”

He cleared his throat,

“I’m just... absorbing all the input. You multitask a lot. UI, UX... and unlimited commentary.”

She narrowed her eyes, pretending to be hurt.

“Hurtful. And here I was, almost thinking you look good when you’re serious.”

Ravi blinked.

Sirisha smiled cheekily. “I said almost. Don't get overconfident.”

Thursday – 10:00 AM | Changing Rhythms

Sirisha glanced at her phone and exhaled.

“Uff, time’s flying. It’s already ten.”

Ravi nodded, closing the laptop slowly.

“Let’s stop here. You’ve got to get ready for college, right?”

“Yeah, I have to start by 11 or max 11:15 to reach by noon,”

she said, rising from the dining chair and stretching,

Her arms lifted high above her head,

Exposing a soft strip of pale skin where her top met her waistband.

Her long ponytail swayed as she turned toward her room.

Ravi looked away, taking a deep breath.

“You’ve got this project mostly sorted. You’re doing well, Sirisha.”

She paused, her eyes meeting his with a kind of warmth that lingered.

“Thanks, Bhayya. Honestly, if I didn’t have you... I would’ve been stuck at the second slide.”

Before he could reply, she added playfully,

“But don’t relax too much. Next week, I’ll come with more work and more Rasmalai bribes.”

Ravi smiled. “Deal.”

Sirisha giggled and disappeared into her room.

The sounds of her movement inside, closet doors creaking, water running, occasional thumps as she moved about

Created a soft rhythm that filled the house while Ravi opened his own laptop and began easing into his workday.

From the kitchen, Neetu emerged with a cup of warm water

Walking past him with her usual soft steps.

She glanced once at the closed door of Sirisha’s room, then looked toward Ravi.

“Coffee?” she asked gently.

He nodded, “Please... if it’s not a problem.”

“It never is,” she replied, walking back,

Her dupatta loosely hanging over her shoulder,

The soft cotton of her kurti brushing against her waist as she moved.

There was something incredibly fluid about her

Like she never rushed, but never slowed either.

By 10:40, Sirisha came out, now dressed in a stylish kurti and jeans,

Hair straightened and worn open, eyeliner gently defining her bright eyes.

She looked fresh, vibrant,

And every bit like a college girl about to walk into her day with a little mischief packed in her bag.

Neetu handed her the small stainless steel lunchbox wrapped in a cloth. “Eat everything.”

Sirisha rolled her eyes. “Yes, Babhi.”

Turning to Ravi, she offered a wave and a grin. “Don’t miss me too much.”

He chuckled. “Try not to fail your lab.”

She pointed her finger at him.

“Oof, negativity! You’ll regret this when I become a CEO and don’t hire you.”

Neetu shook her head, laughing.

“Go, or you’ll miss the cab.”

Sirisha slipped into her sandals and called out again,

“Babhi, don’t bore Bhayya too much. He’ll fall asleep mid-email.”

Neetu raised an eyebrow but said nothing as Sirisha left

The main door clicking shut behind her.

Silence returned to Flat 401.

The light breeze from the windows,

The clink of a cup from the kitchen,

And the faint buzz of a phone notification were all that remained.

Now, it was just Ravi and Neetu.

He sat at the dining table,

Trying to focus on his screen,

But his ears tuned to every small sound from the kitchen.

The simmer of dal, the cut of a knife, the opening of a spice box.

At around 11:15, Neetu stepped out with a tray.

She placed a bowl of mango pickle, a plate of papad, and a glass of water on the table beside him,

Their eyes met.

There was no smile from her, just a subtle softness.

A pause that didn’t quite need words.

Ravi nodded. “Thanks, Bhabhi.”

As she walked back into the kitchen,

Ravi looked back at the laptop, though he hadn’t typed a word in the last ten minutes.

And in that quietness

There was a sense of anticipation

Unspoken

But undeniably alive.

Hey everyone

Apologies if today's updates weren’t as many as usual

We had some relatives over for lunch, and they decided to stick around until the evening!

I’ll see if I can sneak in a few more updates later tonight after everyone finally heads to bed.

One Door Away

Thursday, around 11:45 AM

The living room of flat 401 was quiet except for the soft hum of Ravi’s laptop

And the occasional faint clink of dishes being put away in the kitchen.

The space felt still, almost like the house was holding its breath.

Ravi sat on the couch, fingers frozen above his keyboard,

But his thoughts were miles away from the work in front of him.

The aroma of Neetu’s cooking lingered in the air,

A blend of spices and warmth that felt like it had become part of the fabric of the room.

The soft ticking of the clock on the wall kept pace with the growing silence,

Until Neetu’s voice broke through.

"Ravi…" She called his name, and it was light, teasing,

A voice that always held a certain warmth for him.

He looked up from his screen,

Eyes tracing her form as she stepped out of the kitchen,

Her kurti clinging just enough to highlight the curve of her waist

The soft dbang of the fabric falling down to her thighs.

She moved with grace, her hair loosely tied back,

A few stray strands catching the sunlight that filtered through the windows.

For a moment, his breath caught in his chest

And he found himself lost in the way she moved.

“The geyser in my bathroom’s on strike again,” Neetu said,

Her lips curling in a playful smile.

“I guess I’ll have to use the common one today.”

Ravi cleared his throat, forcing himself to focus on her words,

Though his gaze still lingered on the way her legs moved under the soft leggings she wore.

"You should really call maintenance about that, Neetu bhabhi.

It’s getting to be a problem."

She paused in the doorway,

Her expression teasing,

Her gaze locking with his.

"Hmm… maybe," she said slowly.

"But some problems are better left unsolved, don’t you think?"

Her eyes glinted, daring him to respond.

His throat tightened, and his voice came out lower than he intended.

"And what do you mean by that?"

Neetu didn’t answer directly, just gave him a knowing smile,

Her eyes tracing over him with a playfulness that made his pulse quicken.

She turned, walking toward the hallway, her anklets chiming softly with each step.

"Some things are just…

More interesting when they’re left to the imagination, Ravi,"

She said over her shoulder, letting the words hang in the air between them like a challenge.

Ravi swallowed hard, trying to steady himself,

But all he could do was watch as she slipped into the hallway,

The soft swish of her kurti

And the faintest sound of her footsteps echoing in the empty space.

The door to the common bathroom clicked open

And she disappeared inside.

The echo of the door closing was a small thing,

But in the silence that followed, it felt significant.

It was followed by the steady sound of water running-rushing over tiles,

Splashing softly, mingling with the quiet ambient sounds of the apartment.

For a long moment,

Ravi sat still,

His thoughts scattered.

Just the thought of Neetu is taking a shower just behind that door...

The shower’s rhythm, gentle, yet persistent, seemed to fill the room.

His mind wandered, the image of her slipping into the bathroom

Her graceful movements, the way her body had caught the light earlier.

All spinning together in his head.

He heard the soft, rhythmic sound of her steps, barefoot,

Perhaps, as she shifted in the bathroom.

Then the water, steady and soothing, filled the space,

Each drop carrying with it a sense of intimacy, of proximity.

He could almost picture her now,

The way the water must be flowing over her skin,

The soft spray misting in the air.

His breath caught, and he quickly turned his attention back to his laptop,

But the steady rush of water was impossible to ignore.

With each passing second, the sound of her movements,

The shifting of water, the soft echo of her presence,

Seemed to wrap around him like a spell.

He closed his eyes, trying to center himself,

But all he could hear now was the sound of her—a memory,

A moment, caught just one door away.

His thoughts danced, swirling like smoke,

Trying to imagine what she looked like,

What her movements must have been, her body under the spray,

Her skin glowing with the light that filtered through the bathroom window.

The minutes stretched into something thick and slow.

The sound of her, soft but so close, made his pulse race.

Every shift of the water, every faint sound of her footsteps,

His mind filled in the details, her body moving, the steam rising.

He could almost feel the warmth of the bathroom creeping into the living room,

Wrapping itself around him.

He couldn’t help but wonder, how much of it was real,

And how much of it was his mind painting pictures he wasn’t ready to see?

The feeling,

That gnawing ache in his chest,

Wasn’t just from the proximity,

It was the sense that he was standing on a line he didn’t know how to cross.

The barrier between them, the one door,

Felt thinner and thinner with each passing moment.

And still, he stayed rooted to the couch, unable to move,

Unable to quiet the storm of thoughts swirling inside him.

He tried to focus again,

His fingers brushing over the keyboard,

But his mind kept returning to her.

To the sound of the water, the soft shift of her steps,

The way the silence in the room felt heavier

More intimate, with every passing second.
