He paused.
Ravi:
Not at all. It was actually fun.
You bring good energy.
There was a longer pause this time.
Then:
Sirisha:
I liked sitting next to you.
His fingers paused above the screen.
Sirisha (seconds later):
I mean… for learning and all! ? Not like… weird or anything.
He chuckled to himself.
The honesty in that clumsy save was oddly endearing.
Ravi:
I know what you meant.
And it wasn’t weird.
Another pause.
Then her final message came, soft and unfiltered:
Sirisha:
I think you’re different.
In a good way.
He stared at the screen.
No emojis. No laughing this time.
Just that.
He didn’t know what to reply. so he simply smiled,
Set the phone down again,
And let the glow of her words settle beside the quiet ache of the day.

Priya Didi - What Keeps Her Awake
The ceiling fan whirred overhead, casting slow-moving shadows on the wall.
Priya lay still beneath the blanket,
Eyes open, watching nothing.
It was past 1 AM.
The night outside was quiet
The city beyond their gated compound now hushed
Wrapped in the late-hour silence
That belonged to only two kinds of people:
Dreamers… and those who couldn’t sleep.
Her pillow felt too firm tonight.
Her thoughts, too loose.
She shifted slightly, turned to the side.
No use.
The stillness of the apartment,
Once comforting, now felt hollow.
The living room door was ajar.
From her room,
She could see the thin line of moonlight along the floor
Reaching toward Ravi’s door like a question half-asked.

She sighed and turned again
This time onto her back.
It wasn’t guilt.
She had done nothing wrong.
It wasn’t anger.
That had passed.
It was just something missing.
Not big. Not loud. Just… missing.
A certain energy in the home
One that used to quietly exist when Ravi was nearby
Offering a passing smile, a half-joke over dinner,
A “Didi” that landed differently every time.
Now it wasn’t there.
Not fully.
And it bothered her more than she was ready to admit.
She closed her eyes.
Took a slow breath.
Maybe tomorrow she would feel better.
Maybe things would start to settle.
But somewhere, in the back of her heart,
A faint tug remained.
A thought with no shape,
No voice.
What if something had already started to change?

Friday Morning: Three Currents
Ravi stepped out of his bedroom at 8:30 sharp
Dressed in a neatly pressed pale blue shirt and dark jeans.
A satchel slung over his shoulder, phone in hand,
Hair still slightly damp from the shower.
He looked… well put together. More than usual.
Priya Didi noticed.
She sat at the dining table with her cup of coffee,
Her phone untouched beside her.
Her hair was tied into a soft bun
And she wore a long T-shirt tucked casually into black cotton pants.
Comfortable, graceful—like she always seemed in the mornings.
Except today, there was an added stillness to her eyes.
Not guarded, but watchful.
Ravi’s voice broke the soft silence. “Good morning, Didi.”
She looked up, gave a gentle nod. “Morning.”
He hesitated a beat, as if expecting more.
But she didn’t offer it.
So he moved to the kitchen, poured himself a glass of water.

She followed his movements
In the reflection on the glass cabinet
A quiet part of her wondering
if he’d say anything else.
He didn’t.
Just as he turned to grab his coffee flask
Her voice came again
This time softer, without calculation.
“You’re leaving early today?”
He turned, surprised, pleasantly.
“Yeah… a little. Thought I’d reach on time for once,” he smiled
Lifting the flask. “No traffic nightmares.”
She managed a small smile too. “Your shirt’s nice.”
He blinked. “Thanks.”
And that was it.
But something had changed.
Not dramatically. Not loudly. Just… slightly.
As he laced his shoes near the main door,
His phone buzzed in his pocket.

Sirisha.
Good morning Ravi ☀️
Have a great day!
His lips curved without thinking.
He typed a quick reply.
You too, Miss Project Manager.
He looked up and found Priya’s gaze on him.
Not suspicious. Not cold.
Just… curious.
He stood up slowly.
“I’ll be back by evening. Let me know if you want anything on the way.”
She nodded, sipping her coffee. “I’ll manage.”
But after he left,
She sat there a little longer than usual.
Her coffee untouched again.
She wasn’t upset.
Not distant.
Just… unsettled.
Something about the rhythm of the house had changed.
His energy had changed.
His smile felt like it belonged to someone else for a moment.
And though she would never admit it,
The silence he left behind lingered
Longer than it should have.

Alright, folks
That’s a wrap for tonight!
Hope you enjoyed the update marathon I’ve been on since I got home. My fingers might need a vacation after all this typing! ?
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts, wild theories, emotional reactions, or even the tiniest feedback. Seriously, don’t leave me hanging!
Tomorrow, I’ll be out on a much-needed expedition: Shopping (a.k.a cardio), lunch (because priorities), and possibly a movie… unless I get distracted by more shopping. So, don’t expect any updates until tomorrow night. Unless I somehow draft from a food court (not going to happen!).
Thanks for sticking with me — can’t wait to read your comments!
Warm regards

Hi readersp
Thank you so much!! I'm really glad you're enjoying the different POVs
It's been so much fun (and a bit of a brain workout ?) to weave it all together!
And wow, comparing me to Sirisha? I’ll take that as a huge compliment. She does have her moments, doesn’t she? ?
Also, now that you've brought it up... I’m curious, who do you imagine as Sirisha and Neetu?
Any celeb faces or heroines you think match their vibe? Would love to see how you picture them! ?
And yes, updates are coming soon, after a little more shopping recharge ?️
Not home yet, but I’ll definitely be posting some updates later tonight.
Thanks for the excitement and support! Keep rocking too!
with warm regards

Friday Evening: A Knock and a Ripple
It was just past 6:45 PM when Ravi stepped into Flat 205.
The faint scent of turmeric and curry leaves lingered in the air
Priya Didi must have started dinner prep.
He kicked off his shoes, ran a hand through his hair
And let the quiet of the house settle around him.
He hadn’t even set down his bag when the doorbell rang.
He opened it, expecting maybe a delivery guy.
But there she stood.
Sirisha.
In a pale blue sleeveless top and loose denim joggers,
Hair tied into a playful ponytail, a book clutched to her chest.
Her face lit up as if she hadn’t just seen him yesterday.
“Hi Ravi Bhayya!” she chirped.
He blinked and smiled. “Hey… Sirisha. Didn’t expect you.”
She stepped in slightly, eyes darting past him.
“I won’t stay long. Just came to return the notes I took home yesterday. Also…” she hesitated a second,
Then added, “I wanted to ask something. But only if you’re free.”
“Of course,” he nodded, stepping aside.

Priya emerged from the kitchen, wiping her hands.
She froze for a split second when she saw Sirisha, then softened.
“Hi!” Sirisha greeted warmly. “You look so fresh, Didi. Did you just get home from somewhere?”
Priya smiled gently. “No, just the kitchen. You want some water?”
“No, no… I just came for a minute. I’ll leave soon.”
But she didn’t.
Not immediately.
She followed Ravi to the dining table,
Placed the notebook gently beside his laptop, and leaned in.
“So… there’s this one small module I couldn’t understand even after watching the video twice. Can I show you tomorrow?”
“Sure,” Ravi said, flipping the book. “What time?”
Sirisha bit her lower lip for a second, thinking.
“Actually… how about you all come home tomorrow night? For dinner?” she said,
Suddenly turning to Priya.
“Bhabhi—sorry, Didi—I really want to cook something.
My bhayya loves showing off my food when I try new things.
He said he’ll call Amit bhayya and tell him too.”
Priya blinked.
It took her a second to catch up. “Dinner? Tomorrow?”
“Yeah!” she nodded brightly.

“Nothing fancy. Just casual.
I’ll make biryani or something. Please come, okay?”
Ravi chuckled. “You sound very confident. Should I fast all day?”
She mock-glared. “You should! It’s my signature biryani.”
Priya gave a small smile. “We’ll check with Amit and let you know, okay?”
Sirisha grinned, already heading to the door.
“Great. And tomorrow, Ravi Bhayya, you’re mine for one hour before dinner. I’m bringing the full project.”
“Noted,” he said, watching her leave.
She paused at the door.
Turned. Gave a brief, sweet smile. “Bye, Didi.”
Then to him, slightly softer, “Bye, Bhayya.”
And she was gone.
Silence fell again.
Ravi leaned against the dining table.
Priya hadn’t moved.
“She’s… full of energy,” she finally said, tone unreadable.
Ravi nodded slowly. “Yeah. She’s fun.”
Priya said nothing more.
Just turned back toward the kitchen.
And Ravi stood there a few moments longer
Aware that the silence in the house had shifted… again.

Friday Night – Return of the Husband
The sharp trill of the doorbell echoed through the hallway of Flat 205.
Priya looked up from the stove, heart skipping, just slightly.
Not from excitement, not from fear,
But the kind of pause the body takes when life resumes its usual rhythm.
She washed her hands, composed her face, and opened the door.
Amit stood there with his usual crooked smile,
Duffel bag in one hand and a bottle of mango juice in the other.
“Thought this might earn me some brownie points,” he said, holding up the bottle.
Priya let out a small laugh and moved aside. “You’ll need more than juice for that.”
The home was warm, quiet, still wrapped in the softness of evening.
“Where’s Ravi?” Amit asked, setting his bag down.
“In his room,” she said simply. “He came home a bit early today. Work from home.”
Inside, the house smelled of curry leaves and onions. “Smells like heaven in here.”
“You’ll get to eat it too,” Priya said with a smile.
“But only if you freshen up first.”
“Bossy wife,” he teased.
“And still you came back.”
They all chuckled.
Amit nodded. “I’ll go freshen up.”

She didn’t stop him, just returned to the kitchen.
Her movements were mechanical but not cold.
The tension from the past week still sat between her shoulders like folded wings, waiting.
Fifteen minutes later,
Amit walked into the kitchen, freshly bathed, a towel around his neck.
He peeked into the saucepan and grinned.
“Smells like a feast. Did I miss something?”
“No,” she said,
Carefully stirring. “Just dinner.”
A few minutes passed before Ravi emerged,
Dressed casually in a navy T-shirt and jeans.
He looked clean, put-together—but his eyes scanned the room in one swift glance, searching.
Priya didn’t meet them.
“Hey, look who’s alive,” Amit said, breaking the ice.
“You weren’t planning to stay locked in there all night, were you?”
Ravi smiled faintly. “I was just giving space to the married couple.”
“Oh please,” Amit rolled his eyes. “Come sit. Let’s eat.”
The three of them gathered around the table,
But it didn’t feel like the first week anymore.
The weight of unspoken things lingered.

Ravi was careful.
Careful not to look at Priya too long
Careful not to let his hand brush hers when she passed the plate.
Priya, in turn, was composed, her words minimal, her glances fleeting.
Amit, oblivious to the undercurrents, filled the space with casual chatter.
“The client was a mess,” he said between bites.
“But hey, they’re paying on time.
Also, you remember that small house we talked about?
I might go ahead with the renovation. Just need to figure out a good contractor.”
Priya’s hand paused near the rice bowl. “That one near Jogeshwari?”
“Yes. A bit old, but the location is great.”
Ravi cleared his throat.
“I might know someone. A college friend who does small projects. Reliable.”
“Oh? Great. We should talk about it.”
The silence returned briefly before Amit added,
“By the way, Sirisha’s brother, Vamsi, called.”
Priya raised her head. “Really?”
“Yeah. He said Sirisha told him you two were helping with her project.
They’re inviting us all for dinner tomorrow night.”
Ravi’s voice was neutral. “She did mention something.”
“They sound really sweet. He said his wife Neetu is making all sorts of dishes. You both okay with going?”

“Of course,” Priya said quietly.
Ravi gave a small nod.
“Perfect. 7:30 tomorrow. Flat 401.”
As they finished dinner, Ravi helped clear the plates,
Careful not to linger near Priya.
She handed him a bowl at one point.
Their fingers nearly touched
But she withdrew too fast, as if the ceramic stung.
Later, back in his room,
Ravi sat alone, scrolling through messages he didn’t care about.
He could hear them through the wall.
Amit’s voice rising and falling,
Priya’s replies faint but clear.
That same harmony.
That life they shared.
But something inside him knew it was no longer untouched.
The silence between him and Priya was not just awkward
It was fragile.
A tension disguised as peace.
He looked up at the ceiling and whispered,
“This is not going away.”

Friday Night (Continued...)
Flat 205, Around 10:45 PM
Ravi lay on his bed, staring at his phone,
The dim room lit only by the pale glow of the screen.
His ears still picked up traces of laughter through the thin walls.
Amit’s chuckle, Priya’s softer voice.
It wasn’t directed at him tonight, but it lingered all the same.
He wasn’t expecting a message.
But it came.
Sirisha
[10:48 PM]
Bhayyaaaa ? u didn’t even text me today!!
I told Neetu Bhabi you might ditch our dinner plan ?
Ravi smiled for the first time that evening.
Ravi
[10:49 PM]
Haha… Who said I’d ditch?
Just had a long day.
And your invite was too sweet to miss.
Sirisha
[10:49 PM]
Hmm ? okay forgiven.
I wore something nice today too, but no one to notice.
Sad story of my life.
Ravi
[10:50 PM]
Tomorrow you’ll have a full audience ?
Even Priya Didi will compliment you.
Sirisha
[10:50 PM]
I hope not ?
I want your compliment first ?
goodnight bhayya.
Dream of mango ice cream ?
Ravi chuckled softly and locked the screen.
But outside that room, in the still hallway of Flat 205,
Priya stood near the kitchen counter,
Rinsing the last steel plate slowly, methodically,
As if the cool water helped her focus.

Amit had already gone into the bedroom to change.
The house was quiet again.
But her thoughts were not.
“He’s changed. Or… I’ve changed. That silence over dinner… it wasn’t guilt anymore. It was distance.”
She remembered the moment Ravi emerged from his room earlier,
How his eyes quickly flicked away when she met them.
How he kept his words clipped, his tone careful, his presence invisible.
“Why should it hurt? Isn’t this what I wanted? A line redrawn?”
She dried her hands.
Walked slowly to the window.
The city outside blinked with orange lights and long sighs.
But it was Sirisha’s laugh she’d overheard earlier in the day, light, full of ease, that tugged at her thoughts now.
“She’s young. Pretty. A little silly, but sweet. And she talks to him like she’s known him forever.”
And Ravi…
He smiles more when she’s around. Jokes more. Listens more. He notices her.
Something fluttered in her chest. Something tight and unwilling.
“I am his Didi. That’s all. That should be enough.”
Yet, she remembered the look in his eyes from the other night.
That half-second when he touched her.
That hesitation that felt like desire trying to be polite.
And she hadn’t flinched then.
Not out of disgust.
Not even out of anger.
Just fear, fear of how easily she might have let it linger.
“Any girl would be lucky to have a man like him around her.
Kind, attentive, respectful… but beneath that, there’s something wild in him too.
Something he hides well.”
She leaned on the window frame, stared at the reflection of her own face in the glass.
Her eyes didn’t look angry anymore. Just tired.
And somewhere under that, confused.
She heard Ravi’s door click shut.
And for reasons she couldn’t name, that sound stayed in her chest long after the room went silent.
