Adultery Antarvasana: The Forbidden Fire – *** Varnika's First Surrender ***
A faint laugh stirred against his collarbone. “I did. And you really didn’t.”

He leaned his head down and kissed her hair. “Do you regret it?”

She pulled back slowly, just enough to look into his eyes.

Her pupils were still dark and wide

Her breath still uneven. “No,” she whispered,

“You are much bolder today…” she wishpered... “See... how much, one week gap, changed you.”

Brushing her lips to his. “You are totally a different person”

Her lips forming the word with reverence.

“I like this version of you… I just… didn’t think we’d feel this much.”

Abhi traced the curve of her arm with one hand

Then gently lifted her wrist and kissed the inside of it, slow, deliberate, tender.

“I didn’t think you’d let me feel this much.”

She smiled, her rosy lips curling with a softness he had never seen this openly on her.

“I trust you,” she said, “more than I thought I would.”

And then her tone changed, playful again,

Even if her eyes still shimmered with something deeper. “Remember the reward you were supposed to get?”

His eyes widened just slightly. “You mean… the one you said I could redeem whenever I wanted?”

She nodded slowly, reaching up to trace his jaw with her thumb. “And I interrupted it last time.”

Abhi swallowed. “You're not going to interrupt me now?”

“Not unless you go somewhere unreasonable,” she said, eyes twinkling. “But… you get one. Just one.”

“One kiss?”

She nodded, then leaned in and added softly, “Wherever you want.”

He exhaled

Low, warm, and shifted ever so slightly beneath her.

His eyes scanned her face

Not with haste, but reverence.

Her glowing cheeks, still tinted with pink from their shared heat.

Her neck, soft and fragrant.

Her collarbone, peeking gently from the edge of her one-shoulder sports bra.

Every inch of her invited a kind of attention that felt less lustful than worshipful.

Then he leaned in, not toward her lips, but lower… slower… deliberate.

He pressed a kiss at the top of her naked shoulder

Bare, golden, slightly glistening.

He didn’t rush it.

His lips stayed there, just a breath longer than expected.

It wasn’t a tease.

It was a thank-you.

A reverent one.

Meghana’s breath hitched lightly.

Then another

His lips moved to the gentle curve between her shoulder and neck.

He kissed her there, softer this time.

His hand cradled the small of her back.

She didn’t flinch.

She didn’t stop him.

She only leaned into it

Head tilting, eyes fluttering closed.

“You’re not following your own rule,” she whispered.

“What rule?”

“You said just one kiss.”

Abhi smiled against her skin. “I am still figuring out where... I am just...”

She laughed

Low, husky, completely disarmed. “You always find the loopholes.”

He drew back just enough to look at her. “Meghana…”

“Yes?”

“I don’t think I’m capable of holding anything back anymore.”

She gazed at him for a long second.

Then slowly, deliberately, she cupped his face and kissed his forehead.

“Good,” she whispered.

And then she leaned back, resting against him

Again his arms circling around her, her breath steadying.

No more rewards.

No more words.

Just the hush of aftermath.

The soft, breathless silence that comes only after two people have shared something that wasn’t planned… but felt inevitable.

Outside, the morning sun had risen fully.

But inside, time didn’t matter.

Not for now.

Not for them.

The room was hushed again

The air thick with the scent of skin and breath and something far deeper longing that had simmered for days

Now finally allowed to unfurl.

Meghana still sat nestled in Abhi’s lap,

Her back against his chest

His arms wrapped securely around her waist.

Neither had moved since the kiss on her shoulder…

Not because they were afraid to, but because every breath felt sacred.

His fingers had slowly begun tracing the delicate lines of her forearm.

Up toward the curve of her elbow, feather-light.

She shivered slightly

Not from cold, but from the attention.

The deliberate tenderness.

Her eyes were still closed,

Her head resting against his shoulder now,

As though melting into him.

“Meghana,” Abhi murmured into her ear,

The vibration of his voice low against her neck.

She hummed in response, content, expectant.

“Can I…?” He didn’t finish the question.

But she heard it.

She felt it in the stillness of his body

The growing charge between them.

She turned her head just slightly her cheek brushing his.

“What is it you want?” she asked softly, with a husky voice

“I want to know where this moment ends,” he whispered.

She let that hang for a second, then turned her face toward him.

Their lips met, not with hesitation this time

But with the certainty of two people who had already kissed in a hundred unsaid ways.

This kiss was slow.

Deep.

It tasted of trust.

Her hands slid up along his arms, curling around his shoulders, drawing herself into him more fully.

And Abhi, his hands had found her hips now

Anchoring her there

Gently guiding her into a rhythm that wasn’t just movement but mutual understanding.

There was no rush.

Just a knowing.

She shifted, turning slightly to face him more directly

Now straddling him with ease.

Her arms wrapped around his neck

Her forehead resting against his as they paused, eyes locked, chests rising together.

“Abhi…” she breathed

Her voice thin with feeling, “this morning… it’s different.”

He nodded slowly. “I know.”

“It’s not yoga anymore,” she whispered.

“It stopped being yoga the moment you let me hold you like this.”

She smiled, her lips still brushing his. “I don’t want to stop…”

His hands slid up her back slowly, reverent. “Then don’t.”

She leaned in again

Another kiss

This one more urgent,

Her body pressing closer now,

Molded to him completely.

His hands cradled her waist, his lips never leaving hers.

The room began to dissolve, no mat, no clock, no morning light.

Just the pressure of skin

The heat of breath

The impossibly beautiful ache of anticipation.

But just when his hands slid higher

Her breath stuttered

When it felt like the world was about to tip completely into that final, irreversible surrender

Meghana pulled back.

Barely.

But enough.

Her lips parted, still breathless. “Abhi…”

He paused, eyes searching hers, but not pushing.

She placed a hand gently over his heart

As if grounding them both. “Let’s… stop here.”

He stilled completely. “Are you okay?”

She nodded, exhaling deeply.

“Yes. I just…” Her voice faltered,

Not out of fear,

But out of the weight of emotion.

“If we go further now, it’ll be everything. And I want that. But not rushed. Not in the quiet aftermath of a yoga session.”

He didn’t move.

Didn’t pressure.

She cupped his face softly.

“Tonight,” she whispered.

“Let’s carry this into the night. Let us wait with anticipation till then.”

Abhi stared at her eyes dark with feeling, lips parted. “You’re sure?”

She nodded again. “More than ever.”

And with that, she leaned in once more

Just to rest her forehead against his.

Their breaths mingled, their bodies still tangled,

But the moment had shifted.

It was no longer a question of if, only when.

And in that promise, they found a quiet peace.

The kind that made anticipation its own kind of pleasure.

Friday Night — Candlelight and Silk

The evening air held a hush, as if the world itself had paused to watch.

As Abhi stepped out of his flat, the hallway outside 203 felt dimmer than usual, muted in shadow, like it knew something sacred was about to unfold.

Across from him, the door to 403 stood still — but not silent.

A sliver of golden light spilled beneath it, flickering gently like a whispered invitation.

And in the air, a scent, jasmine first, soft and heady, followed by the warmth of sandalwood and a trace of cinnamon clove, like memory exhaled.

He raised his hand.

Knocked.

The door opened.

And there she stood

In the quiet halo of candlelight...  Meghana.

And Meghana… wasn’t Meghana.

Or at least, not the version of her he was used to seeing in the early haze of yoga mornings or the breezy domestic calm of dinner nights.

This was Meghana distilled, not adorned, but revealed.

A vision.

A presence.

She wore a deep wine-red saree, sheer and regal, as if dusk had chosen her skin to rest upon.

The fabric clung like reverence, every pleat falling into place not by chance, but by design.

Her blouse, sleeveless and sculpted, framed the gentle arc of her shoulder, catching the glow of flame.

Her hair fell loose, in waves that kissed her collarbone.

And at the center of her forehead, a single red bindi.

A dot.

A secret.

Abhi didn’t speak.

His breath came late.

His gaze traced her

From the way the silk folded at her hip

To how the light held the hollow of her throat

To her bare feet resting quiet on the cool marble.

She hadn’t dressed to dazzle.

She had dressed to invite.

“You look…” he tried, but the words faltered beneath the weight of wonder.

She smiled — not coy, but knowing. Quiet. Certain. “Come in,” she said.

He stepped inside.

The living room was no longer a room.

It was a world.

Shadows swayed to the rhythm of dozens of candles

Tiny flames nestled in brass holders, casting golden halos that danced across the walls, the floor, her skin.

The curtains drawn halfway let in ribbons of moonlight, weaving silver into the amber glow.

On the table, two settings.

Polished silver.

Bowls of steaming food, fragrant and earthy.

A bottle of wine, breathing.

But more than all of it, it was her presence that filled the space, her care, her curation.

She hadn’t just prepared a meal.

She had conjured a night.

“I didn’t know I was walking into a dream,” he murmured.

She turned to him, eyes luminous.

“It’s not a dream,” she said. “It’s just… us. Finally.”

He moved toward the table, but her hand touched his forearm, light as silk, sure as gravity.

“Before we eat,” she said, her voice barely louder than breath, “I want to give you something.”

She stepped closer.

So close that the fabric of her saree brushed against his shirt,

Her scent, warm, floral, familiar, wrapped around him like dusk itself.

She reached for his hand. Guided it slowly to her waist, where the silk was tucked, a gesture not bold, but sacred.

“You’ve been patient,” she whispered. “And I’ve felt every second of it.”

He didn’t reply. But the silence between them shimmered with heat.

Her fingers moved to his shirt, slow, unshaking, as if tracing something she’d already touched in her mind a hundred times.

“Dinner’s here,” she murmured, lips near his collarbone. “But this… this is what I’ve been preparing all day.”

They didn’t kiss.

But something passed between them, a stillness, a spark, a silent agreement.

She took his hand and led him to the table, step by step, her fingers never letting go.

They sat.

She poured the wine with a quiet grace, each movement deliberate, fluid.

Candlelight clung to her bangles, caught in the curve of her collarbone, flickered like a secret in her hair.

When their fingers met over the rim of the glass, neither pulled away.

The food was warm. Comforting.

Cooked with intention, spiced with memory.

But it was in the pauses between bites that the night breathed fully.

When she reached across and fed him, a slow, careful bite, fingers near his lips, he closed his eyes a moment too long.

Her touch had shifted. It was no longer waiting for permission.

It was answering a promise.

“I want tonight to be slow and amazing” she said, her voice barely cutting the candlelit silence.

He held her gaze. “It already is.”

“Real.”

His hand found hers on the table. “It’s never been anything else.”

They didn’t rush the wine.

They didn’t devour the meal.

They existed in the in-betweens,  between glances and breath, between touch and intention, between everything that had once been restrained.

And beneath the shimmer of brass candlelight, wrapped in silk and certainty

Meghana was no longer waiting behind words unsaid or walls unspoken.

She was here.

Choosing.

Welcoming...
