Her fears were realized when Ajith returned home, his eyes wild and his words laced with venom. “You’ve been fucking him, haven’t you?” he snarled, his eyes darting between Jayashree and Bhaskar. “You’ve been spreading your legs for my father while I was away.”

Jayashree tried to calm him down, but Ajith was beyond reason. He lunged at Bhaskar, his hands around his throat. Bhaskar fought back, but Ajith was fueled by a rage that was almost supernatural.

In the chaos that followed, Jayashree heard a sickening crack, followed by a groan. She looked up to see Ajith crumpled on the floor, his head at an unnatural angle. Bhaskar stood over him, his hands shaking, his eyes wide with horror.

“Jayashree,” he whispered, his voice trembling. “I… I didn’t mean to… He just wouldn’t stop…”

Jayashree felt a coldness wash over her. She knew what she had to do. She couldn’t let Bhaskar go to prison for killing Ajith, not when he had been defending her and their unborn child.

She acted quickly, staging the scene to look like an accident. She made it appear as if Ajith had slipped and fallen, hitting his head on the edge of the coffee table. She knew it was a risky move, but she had no choice.

Bhaskar was stunned by Jayashree’s actions, but he trusted her implicitly. Together, they worked to cover up the truth, making it look like Ajith had died in a tragic accident.

As the weeks turned into months, Jayashree gave birth to a healthy baby boy. They named him Vineeth.

Jayashree knew that their love was forbidden, that society would never accept them as a couple. But she also knew that she couldn’t live without Bhaskar, that he was the very air she breathed.
