Actually Kunal is trying to find out the truth to bring some sanity in himself. Like how last chapter ending said , he is not seeking the truth to reveal it to Esha , but rather he can finally have someone to blame and take his revenge on. For now , everything points to Priya and Kunal is planning to play his game on her which might eventually lead to her destruction or ruin. Either way once that is done , he could finally move on from Esha and her betrayal and start new because after learning the truth he won't have the need to blame himself for Esha's mistakes. It makes sense why Kunal felt discomfort in the lift when he heard Esha talk so happily about her pregnancy to Aniket because he is still bound by her , the truth will finally set him free and once that is cleared , Kunal will no longer need to think of Esha anymore , he will find his closure and end that part of his life. LOL that is a very narrow minded approach. As someone who has researched on sex education and sexual biology , more than genetics , the upbringing is what matters. One can be gifted but if he/she cannot utilize it well then that gift is wasted. Honestly this can work even without the miscarriage part. In my opinion, I imagine a sequence where Esha accidentally comes home dropping Aditya and sees Kunal taking care of Priya during her pregnancy days showing the reformation in him , like he is helping her during the worst period pain time by calming her or singing to her or something. Actually Priya's anger is directed towards Esha and not Kunal. Don't forget Esha is the one that ruined her thesis , not Kunal. Priya's actions in breaking their marriage was to completely destroy the love Esha and Kunal shared.
