Description
In this course you will learn absolutely everything about android app hacking. This course teaches you the ethical principles and enables you to become the top expert of your company regarding to app security. We learn really complex attacks in the most funny way that's possible, by hacking a mobile game. Legal note:The game we are going to hack is licensed under the GNU GPL, which means, we are allowed to perform such modifications. Hacking apps without having the permission of the author is strongly forbidden! The things you learn are related to security research. I am teaching you all of this in a legal and ethical way. Course - Structure:In the installation chapter we will analyze different smartphone setups, their strength and their weaknesses. We unlock our device and use certain features to already start hacking our first apps. We will learn how to analyze bluetooth low energy connections and get familiar with the Android Debug Bridge (ADB).We move on to the android app structure. Here we gain a rock solid understanding about the key components of an android app. We will analyze the AndroidManifest.xml and learn how to exploit activities, broadcast receiver and content provider. We will write our own small apps to exploit SQL injections and path traversals.Afterwards we take a deep dive into reverse engineering. We will learn how to decompile an android app and reconstruct the Java code. We will have a look at different decompilers and create flow- and call graphs to deal with highly obfuscated apps. Finally a nice application is waiting for us to practice all the things we have learned so far. Then we have the treasure of this course, the SMALI chapter. SMALI is like an assembly language of an android application and gives us unlimited power in hacking them. We practice our skills by modifying our mobile game to have infinite lives, become invisible or invincible. We add multiple player shots, manipulate the fire rate and many more. In the man-in-the-middle chapter we will learn how to analyze the network traffic of a mobile app. We will gain an understanding about HTTPS and how to analyze these connections. We will learn how certificate pinning works and bypass several different types of it. The last thing that is missing is FRIDA, which is an amazing framework to perform runtime manipulations within an app. We will hook into the pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) to modify a dice application. We will learn how to scan the memory for certain instances and how to interact with the UI thread of an app. We will create new objects and practice all of this by writing our own trainer for a gaming application. The cherry on top will be the analysis of a native c function with Ghidra and the manipulation and modification with FRIDA.After getting through all these chapters you will be the top expert in android app security of your company. Therefore, what you are wainting for?
Who this course is for
Security Analyst / Ethical Hacker
Android App Developer
Bug Bounty Hunter
Everyone who likes to manipulate android apps / games

Description
What you getIs your first accent of Thai origin? This course is designed specifically to target your problem sounds. It's one of the ClearSpeak Time-Online Series tailored for different accent groups. You get a complete package for both clear pronunciation and fluent neutral British English accentYour tutor is speech pathologist Alison 'Kimi' Kimble, an authority in English accent changeTake the complete 15 Unit course OR study only a few problem soundsYou'll find around 14 hours of demo videos and loads of audio exercises along with many support articlesThe ClearSpeak Method is a leader in the accent change field. It's easy to get results with the professional speech pathology techniques.Your voice coachHiI'm Kimi Kimble, your professional tutor and voice coach for your speech journey. If unclear speech is holding you back in your studies or career, then a Time-Online course is definitely for you. Our courses are for 'committed' students who may have tried other approaches and found they don't produce a true or lasting result. There are no quick fixes!Pronunciation and accent change are a skillLike learning to play the piano, you cannot hope to master these by watching a series of short video clips. It takes much more to be able to think and pronounce fluently at the same time. The professional ClearSpeak MethodTime-Online courses are based on the ClearSpeak Method developed over 25 years. Used in many universities internationally, professional speech therapy techniques set this course apart from others. It will give you your best shot at achieving a superior result.Use fun techniques to learnI'll be guiding you every step of the way through many hours of masterclass videos and 'listen-and-repeat' exercises. You'll be using lots of intuitive visualisations along with instructions about how to move your mouth into the correct position. Simply 'telling' you what to do, and asking you to mimic me, are never enough.Accent change is not just about learning separate soundsWhole accent change has three quite different aspects and all are essential:FIRST you learn to make each new sound, one at a time. SECOND you change the overall holding posture of your mouth as you speak. All your sounds are placed within this posture. This method is used by professional mimics to create a consistent and fluent accent. There is no other way. Your mouth must 'feel' it is operating quite differently when you change from one accent to another. Most pronunciation courses make no mention of this critical step.THIRD you tune in to the speech melody of the English speech flow. This is quite different to learning about intonation and stress within individual sentences. The Time-Online texts encourage you to mimic the overall rhythmic melody, regardless of the words or sentences used in your speech flow. So, take a look at the outline that follows to learn more. I'll be delighted to have your company if you decide to join me.All the best for now!Your tutor,Kimi"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step". LAO TZUHow a course worksThe course is by self-study online. In the Start Up Unit you will:Discover all about English sounds and the ClearSpeak techniquesDecide on your course PlanThe Typical List of Errors for your accent group has the 15 most common consonant and vowel errors relative to EnglishStudy the entire List if your aim is overall accent change OR Select only a few problem sounds Then move on to study each sound on your Plan. There is a Sound Kit Unit of study materials for each one.All 15 Sound Kits haveA one-hour Masterclass video or a Tutorial video. Why should you join this course?a Dutch course that is informative and funlearn the hows and whys behind the language and really practice of what you learnbe part of a fun community of learners of Dutch worldwideDear fan of Dutch -- yes, YOU! Once upon a time you set out to learn Dutch. But every course you find just turns out to be very bland with too many boxes with grammar rules and never-ending vocabulary lists... Well, guess what... I am a superb teacher of Dutch and I love to entertain. Shake those two up, and you get an interactive course, motivating you to really stick with it and have what you learn stick to you. My magic? In introducing daily topics and useful expressions, I subtly have you picking up basic grammar rules. Unlike most other language courses, I won't devote entire chapters to complicated grammar rules, but will instead subtly weave them into the topic. And then there's the Spaced Retention trick... Things will only stick if you quickly practice what you learn and keep doing that every so often. So get ready to not only listen to the voice on your screen, but also happily interact and answer any questions I have for you! And that, dear fan of Dutch, is how a course can be made educational, interactive and fun! Be sure to check out the course preview to find out more! Veel succes en veel plezier! Good luck and have fun! LeslieWHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING...After taking several online courses this one has been the most helpful in understanding the basic rules of Dutch grammar and how to apply them in everyday scenarios. Other courses were dry, too stale and not fun so the information learned did not stick with me. I hope this course helps you as much as it did me! ++Great course; I really like how Leslie teaches both dutch and Flemish simultaneously. I really loved the het/de tips, it really has worked for me ++Fun and easy learning!++I really like the explanations so far, and how easily you can learn new words.++I found this course really helpful in order to start learning Dutch. I definitely would like to have more courses with the same teacher because she understood that learning with fun is the best option for really absorb the language!

TTC - The Hidden Power of Microbes
Released 11/2024
By Melissa Booth, PhD Science Communicator, The Science Communicator
MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz, 2 Ch
Genre: eLearning | Language: English | Duration: 24 Lessons ( 10h 27m ) | Size: 8.65 GB
Before the invention of the microscope, the oldest and most widespread forms of life on Earth were totally unknown to humans, even though human life is completely dependent on them. Not only that, but this invisible domain substantially outweighs all animals and humans combined, comprising some one-sixth of the living biomass on Earth.
We are talking about the world of microbes-microscopic life forms that include bacteria, fungi, and other tiny entities such as archaea, protists, and viruses. Microbes may have a bad reputation because a small fraction of them are associated with diseases, but they are overwhelmingly beneficial to humans and the environment. Consider these crucial functions they perform
Digestion: Initiated by enzymes, digestion is an intricate process controlled largely by microbes, which break down complex molecules, synthesize essential vitamins, boost immune response, and protect against pathogens.
Nitrogen Fixation: Nitrogen is key to all life. Fortunately, the atmosphere is 78 percent nitrogen gas. Unfortunately, atmospheric nitrogen is largely non-reactive and can't be directly absorbed by most organisms. This is where microbes come into play, converting it into usable ammonia through a process called nitrogen fixation.
Industry: From fermentation in food and beverage production to pharmaceutical synthesis, pest control, environmental cleanup, genetic engineering, biofuel processing, and much more, microbes are indispensable participants in the global economy.
Since the number of microbes, including viruses, in and on your body is more than 10 times the number of your human cells, you might consider yourself a walking microbiome-which is an excellent reason to learn as much as possible about these organisms. In The Hidden Power of Microbes, acclaimed science educator Dr. Melissa Booth mounts an expedition through the microbial realm, exploring every facet of this teeming, unseen ecosystem.
In 24 information-packed lectures, Dr. Booth covers the major types of microbes, the history of their discovery, their evolution and physiology, their role in human health and disease, their importance in agriculture and industry, their ubiquity in every corner of nature, and the possibility that they even exist beyond Earth.
Take a Microbe's Point of View
To help you explore the incredible impact of microbes, Dr. Booth introduces a fictional character named Lina. Throughout the course, you follow Lina's experiences with the tiny organisms that she encounters and that colonize her-from birth through adulthood. It's Lina's life story from a microbe's point of view. For example, in her earliest years, Lina goes from virtually zero exposure to microorganisms to a wholesale invasion
The Starting Gun: At birth, Lina faces a deluge of microbes, and the formation of her personal microbiome begins. This process will regulate her digestion, support her immune system, influence her metabolism, and affect her mood and cognitive development.
Viruses: Usually thought of as harmful, viruses are mostly benign or actively helpful, and Lina quickly acquires her mother's viruses as well as those from the environment. She soon develops her own distinctive "virome" that is as unique as a fingerprint.
Allergies and Asthma: Lina grows up on a farm, where the great microbial diversity gives her a lower risk of developing allergies and asthma than for urban dwellers. For city folk, the remedy is lots of fresh air, fresh foods, and avoiding needless antibiotics.
You check in with Lina periodically-at one point probing the mixed signals at the micro level that give her an ear infection, a common ailment among children that follows a surprisingly complex scenario in the ear's Eustachian tube. Later, you meet Lina's young friend who develops a drug-resistant infection after a simple injury. Since antibiotics have little effect, his best hope may be a microbe that can defeat a microbe-in this case, a bacteriophage, a type of virus that preys on specific bacteria. And, you follow Lina into adulthood, when she becomes an environmental health engineer, specializing in disease prevention and using microorganisms to neutralize pollutants.
Revelations and Riddles
In ancient times, physicians occasionally speculated that tiny, unseen agents might be responsible for diseases, but they were ignored. It wasn't until the 19th century that scientists with microscopes identified minute particles as the causes of cholera, potato blight, puerperal fever, and other diseases. Since then, researchers with ever more sophisticated tools have mapped the remarkable universe of microorganisms. In The Hidden Power of Microbes you trace many of their discoveries, as well as some outstanding mysteries
Antibiotics: Derived from a fungus that kills a wide range of bacteria, penicillin was the original antibiotic. Other antibiotics, like bacitracin, come from bacteria in soil. The human gut itself is home to many microbes with antibacterial properties.
Ulcer Breakthrough: Scientists once believed that no microbes could survive the stomach's acidic environment. However, two Australian researchers discovered a resilient bacterium, linking it to stomach ulcers-a finding that earned them a Nobel Prize.
"Dark Matter": Just as with the invisible "dark" matter in the universe, the microworld harbors a vast, unknown component. This component involves organisms that are known to exist but have not yet been cultured, leaving their exact nature and functions largely a mystery.
You also learn that the human appendix is far from useless, as was once widely believed. Different lines of evidence now show that it serves as a reservoir for beneficial gut bacteria that can repopulate the gut in times of need.
A more hands-on approach to repopulating gut bacteria is the trend for probiotics, which are oral supplements of live microorganisms. However, Dr. Booth cautions against unreasonable expectations for these products. Their goal is to help restore the balance of the body's microbiome, particularly after disruptions caused by antibiotics, other medications, or lifestyle factors like alcohol consumption. But "reestablishing your microbiome isn't as easy as you might think," says Dr. Booth. Side effects can include gastrointestinal issues and opportunistic infections.
Clues to the Origin of Life
Since microorganisms are some of the earliest and most fundamental forms of life, they shed intriguing light on the origin and evolution of life on Earth. Although microbes are only a single cell (except for viruses, which are not even a cell), they have remarkable powers of adaptation and survival, allowing them to thrive in environments ranging from scalding hydrothermal vents in the deep ocean to sites of extreme acidity, salinity, subzero cold, and other inhospitable conditions across every region of the planet. They also have impressive powers of coordination, since they regularly form multicellular structures, like biofilms (dental plaque is an example), and communicate with each other using chemical signals. Such behavior suggests how complex multicellular lifeforms probably evolved.
The Hidden Power of Microbes also ventures beyond Earth to explore conditions that may have led to the evolution of simple life on Mars, Venus, and the larger moons of Jupiter and Saturn. There has even been speculation that microbes from outer space provided the initial spark for life on Earth since evidence shows that the precursors for life and some types of microorganisms can survive radiation in space and the fiery entry through Earth's atmosphere. But whether microbes are descended from alien organisms or not, they are without doubt our friends-the most successful living entities on Earth. We couldn't do without them!
What Will You Learn?
Study the five major types of microbes
Find out what microbes are doing for you
Investigate the role of microbes in agriculture and industry
Discover how normally beneficial microbes can make you sick
Examine the pros and cons of probiotics

TTC - The Greatest Controversies of Early Christian History
Released 10/2024
MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz, 2 Ch
Genre: eLearning | Language: English | Duration: 24 Lessons ( 11h 23m ) | Size: 9.52 GB
Christianity has arguably been the most important force in the history of Western civilization. Whether we view it in religious, social, political, or economic terms, Christianity has deeply and integrally influenced the Western worldview and way of life, as well as our most basic notions of selfhood, morality, and ethics. Without the presence and role of Christianity, our world would be considerably different. As such, understanding Christianity is fundamental to understanding our civilization, our culture, and our origins.
In reaching that understanding, no era is more relevant than the faith's first three centuries, when Christianity grew from a persecuted sect into a powerful religion. Throughout Christian history, compelling controversies have existed surrounding that early era. These controversies continue to puzzle scholars, theologians, and laypeople, bringing into question many common beliefs about the faith. Exploring them sheds light on myths and historical fallacies that obscure an accurate view of the religion. In their content, implications, and scope, the controversies are foundational for grasping how Christianity evolved to become what it is today.
The individual controversies covered in this course highlight disputed questions concerning both faith and history
Was Jesus married?
Was Jesus the Messiah predicted in the Jewish scriptures?
Was Paul-not Jesus-the real founder of Christianity?
Can the Old Testament be considered a Christian book?
Does the book of Revelation predict humanity's future?
As a subject of study, the controversies of early Christianity serve as a window on the development of a global religion, and on the theological thought that forged its defining doctrines. In each case, the matters in question are historically significant, whether we are Christians, members of other religions, or nonbelievers.
Now, in The Greatest Controversies of Early Christian History, award-winning professor and New York Times best-selling author Bart D. Ehrman invites you to join him in a penetrating investigation of these provocative issues of Christianity. In this revealing inquiry, you'll tackle 24 pivotal controversies from the most important formative era of the faith, investigating them with the tools of the historian and aiming to resolve them with academic rigor.
Applying probing detective work to the controversies of the early Christian Church, these lectures pierce historical fictions, distortions, and misconceptions that come to us not only from common understandings of the faith, but also from contemporary sources such as popular novels and films.
Drawing on the latest scholarship from many sources, this course examines a rich spectrum of subject matter, ranging from the circumstances surrounding Jesus's birth to his death and resurrection-and from the Christian experience in the crucial era after his death to the important doctrinal controversies of the 4th century. Each lecture unfolds as a historical mystery, as you compare religious tradition, early Christian texts, and legend with the historical record, illuminating these highly charged matters of faith.
Originally released exclusively on audio, The Greatest Controversies of Early Christian History has now been updated as a video course. This enhanced version incorporates hundreds of new images, graphics, and illustrations to make this deep dive into early Christian history an even more engaging and immersive experience.
Witness the Dawning of a Global Faith
In each lecture of this course, you delve into a key issue in Christianity's early development, highlighting contentious topics such as these
Did the Jews Kill Jesus? In shedding light on this divisive question, study the political events surrounding Jesus's arrest and trial in Jerusalem, and uncover the precise motives and role of the Jewish authorities.
Was Jesus Raised from the Dead? Learn about the theological meaning of resurrection in Jesus's time, and grasp what underlay the extraordinary claim that he was raised from the dead and exalted by God.
Did the Disciples Write the Gospels? Explore the dating and attribution of the New Testament Gospels, our historical knowledge of the disciples, and the question of whether these men possessed the skills to create literary accounts of Jesus's life.
Did Early Christians Accept the Trinity? Investigate the conception of Jesus held by his earliest followers, subsequent views of his divinity, and the evolution of the Trinity as a core doctrine of Christian faith.
Is the Book of Revelation about Our Future? Unpack this powerfully provocative text by studying the genre of ancient apocalyptic literature, Revelation's connection to that tradition, and its intended meaning in the time of its writing.
Who Chose the Books of the New Testament? Penetrate myth and fiction concerning the formation of the New Testament, and trace how, when, and by whom the 27 books were chosen.
Gain Rich Insight into Christian Thought
Under Professor Ehrman's incisive guidance, you analyze and clarify many of the primary elements of Christian theology. You dig deeply into the conception of the mashiach (messiah) in Jewish tradition, and the basis for the core Christian claim that a suffering Messiah was predicted in the Jewish scriptures. In grasping Paul's role in the early faith, you contemplate the key differences between the teachings of Jesus himself and the Christian view of Jesus's death and resurrection that has defined the religion. You also learn about the differing views of Jesus held by early Christian groups such as the Adoptionists, Marcionites, and Gnostics, and their role in what became Christian orthodoxy.
In assessing the role of early Christian literature, you learn about the earliest surviving versions of the New Testament, their numerous inconsistencies, and what can be said about their authenticity. You also look closely at the authorship of the New Testament writings, and the evidence of forgeries and false attribution within this iconic text. And you trace the ambiguous role in early Christianity of the Jewish scriptures, and how these books came to be accepted as the Christian Old Testament.
A Riveting Encounter with History and Faith
As a historical sleuth, Professor Ehrman takes the inquiry down many intriguing paths of discovery. In the course's opening section, you investigate provocative questions about the historical Jesus. Was Jesus actually born in Bethlehem? Was Mary Magdalene, in fact, a prostitute, and what was her true role in Jesus's life and ministry? Is it possible that Jesus was married, to Mary Magdalene or even to someone else?
Among colorful and surprising episodes in Christianity's rise, you probe the mystery of Didymus Judas Thomas, portrayed in the non-canonical Acts of Thomas as Jesus's identical twin brother. You look closely at the record concerning Judas Iscariot to determine exactly what damning information he betrayed to the Jewish authorities. And you examine the accounts proposing that Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who presided over Jesus's trial, was actually a secret follower of Jesus.
In The Greatest Controversies of Early Christian History, the issues you reckon with shed important light on the foundational texts of Christianity, the historical Jesus, the first Christians, and the remarkable story of the faith's unfolding in its first critical centuries. With more than one billion Christians in the world today, these controversies intersect deeply with the living faith as it's practiced around the world, and with contemporary Christian thought in all its facets.
What Will You Learn?
Study the political events surrounding Jesus's arrest and trial in Jerusalem
Learn about the theological meaning of resurrection in Jesus's time
Study the genre of ancient apocalyptic literature, Revelation's connection to that tradition, and its intended meaning in the time of its writing
