.......Meena:
One thing that really bothers me with her is she is always ready for partners to have sex and it mostly turns out so passionate that bothers me as a reader, Why is her affair always more passionate than her chemistry with Nadir? Is she missing something in her marriage? If yes why is she not addressing this issue? If one is deprived of sex then they crave it so badly that they get tempted when put into situations. So when Meena is pushed into a situation, why did she not wear clothes and went behind Nadir and asked him what does he want and why he brought Jalal into the bedroom and why he is leaving. That pro activeness would have given her clarity on what was Nadir thinking. Instead she decided to have fun the very first moment alone with Jalal. Is Meena so desperate for sex all the time?

Couple needs to have open conversation and clear things before further situations explode beyond their control.

Here speaks M.:

Since writing the next chapter is partly up to me, I feel that I have to answer your question about myself, Meena.

Firstly about sexuality, or whether I am missing something in my marriage and if yes why do I not mention it:
In my marriage, sexually and otherwise, emotionally, socially, or whatever, things are going much better than maybe over 80 percent of couples as far as I know.
We talk about ourselves, our feelings and emotional or physical desires and demands, in comparison, more than 90% of other couples!
Believe me, and maybe that's the problem, that we're so open despite everything and that causes conflicts (material for this story!). The others have nothing to say because everything (apparently and superficially, observed from the outside, externally in relation to the inner feelings of the person and externally from the marriage observed by others) is fine, but is it really so?
What I have done or will do (also in the sense of this story) will always amaze you, and maybe that's a good thing! That makes the story more interesting and worth following for you as a reader.
Wouldn't it be boring if I (in last chapter) had got dressed and sent J. home and waited obediently for my husband? (but I'll say right away that probably 80 percent of women had done that in the situation, but deep down they wanted something different, and they didn't like what they do!), then we could end this chapter and move on to the agenda.
You cannot force someone and his or her actions and reactions into clichés... We are unique.
You can tell someone your opinion about their behavior and even give them a label, a reckless person, an idiot, a sex-obsessed person, a slut, a frigid person, a cheater and so on or call the activities wrong or right...
But never ask WHY!
We are who we are and we should be unique because we have feelings, reason and instincts at the same time that separate us and make us unique... And I am Meena!
Yes I am Meena! I'm passionate about everything I do, why not, I do everything with passion and feeling my study, my Job, in my marriage, friendschip, family, and… sex… but I try to limit it and be careful...

If you read your opinion, the part that concerns me, and proceed as you wrote, then we don't have a story that goes on for hundreds of pages to tell, sorry, it would be a short story and moreover boring!
Wait for me still...

And call me whatever you want but follow my story!
You will certainly continue to do so, as I know you...

Yes if it was a story my words would not have come at all because I know why Author would write that way..He would obviously want the female lead to encourage Jalal to take the story forward.

Alas..this is not a story, this is your life and when I read your life..I question myself why Meena did what she did at that time though logically it would have been a better call to go behind Nadir to find out what his intentions are to get clarity rather than play along with out truly understanding the situation. Aren't you guys just back from a big fight? Wasn't he upset with you for taking forward with Jalal with out him in the picture and hiding details about your meetings with Jalal so for me it doesn't make sense why would you fall for this play with out questioning Nadir.

I know we are all humans and we do things sometimes that can't be explained but if I am coming from a breakup or almost breakup. I would do things more carefully. My questions are not to explain your story or how story will be 100 pages, My questions are to know your thoughts at that time when you made that call. Its as simple as that.

Also about you being passionate about every thing you do..and its truly admirable. Show me one person who doesn't like passionate people. People love to be in a relationship who are passionate about everything that they do..My concern was you are more passionate with others than with Nadir unless there is a role play when you have sex with Nadir like that time when you guys included Mansi..that was the most passionate sex you guys had but that is a result of your dream with Mansi and I did not see later you guys addressed that issue. Even now I feel your passion for Jalal seems stronger as if you have a connection with Jalal who was absent in your life before a month.....I don't know if you guys sit and talk about this issue in future but as of now I did not see Nadir and you talk about it...

Anyways my questions seem to offend you ..sorry about that.

I would like to mention a few things here that I have observed in this story from the beginning.
I appreciate them because they don't contradict each other or change with each ‘new’ relationship.

* The story is built more around the couple's sexual experiences outside of marriage
(This is more about Meena's experiences and experiences with other men).

What do we learn from this?

Sex between the spouses is mentioned and occasionally described, but it is not the core of the story.
Because this is so, it is hardly possible to make a judgement or get a clear view to compare and evaluate
the quality and amount of sex between Nadir and Meena with the sex she has with other men...

So there can be no question of unsatisfactory or even inferior sex between Nadir and Meena!

* What started out accidentally (by blackmailing Meena) became an integral part of their relationship over time,
rather through Nadir's inclination and fantasy of watching Meena have sex...

They both agree on this point!

The fact that Nadir nevertheless reacts with jealousy and sometimes anger speaks in his favour, because he is
madly in love with Meena and does not really want to share her with anyone, and - although he is aware that
Meena would never leave him for another man - he is afraid of losing her because he lets his emotions guide
and overwhelm him in these moments...

* Even though it is Meena who ultimately decides whether or not to have a sexual relationship with another man,
Nadir is the initiator and the one who paves the way for the realisation...

* Meena keeps some passages that she experiences and feels with her sexual partners during the act in the
background and does not address them openly because she does not want to offend Nadir, and not because
she has something to hide.
This is the problem that mainly takes place in Nadir's head and sometimes leads to non-verbal outbursts...

Dear RCF,

I don't feel offended at all, I could answer about your statements about me right awy but I do not reply because your opinions are Judgermtn about my person and I prefer not to respond.

Sorry, but I am here to tell a story and not to defend or justify myself.

Just one point: We, me and my husband, know each other since 35 years and are married now since about 25 years, I

enjoy sex with him, as like as the frist days. Because I love him.  Perhaps just a woman can

understand what is the differnece between sex with one whom you love and one whom you

do not love, no matter for what the reason that occurs...

There is a difference...

The difference is between happiness and fun, happiness is timeless and lasts and

gives endless joy, but fun is temporary and momentary… I hope I could express

myself clearly.

I also don't have to write some  pages full, here in the story telling,  every time I sleep with my

Husband about our love making, about how we did it and what different methods we used,

unless it plays a role in the story.
Don't worry, it's still hot to sleep with him!

Have fun,

Defense or Justification only comes if I was accusing you of something while I was not..I was asking about your thoughts or perspective at that point in time.

Anyways thanks for replying.

The answers came out, come out or may be do not come out -if we are not good enough to tell the story and describe the characters, their thoughts and motives-from the story, and not from me as a character to describe my motives, separately for the readers...

please continue to read...

Meena’s Narration:

The next day was Wednesday. They both had to go to work and there wasn't much conversation

at breakfast.

During Meena's lunch break Jalal called.

Jalal: "Hi baby, are you OK? No pain?", he laughed.

Meena: "You stupid man, the other way around, a nice feeling down there," she replied.

Jalal: "I'm glad, then he did well, I mean little Jalal."

Meena: "Yes, of course, but he's not that small, I can't complain," Meena laughed again.

Jalal: "He's still half-awake since then and is waiting impatiently to see you again."

Meena: "Are you coming back tomorrow?"

Jalal: "Yes, should I pick you up from work?"

Meena: "What are you planning again?"

Jalal: "First dancing and then come to my place..."

Meena: “You haven't forgotten that I'm a married woman, I hope,"

Jalal: "Do you think Doki has something against it? I don't think so,"

Meena: "Then call him, it's better if you ask him yourself,"

Jalal: "Maybe I'll do that too..."

Meena: "But it's good that you're doing it over the phone, because you never know how
he'll react, he's moody at the moment,"

Jalal: "Did something happen after I left? Should I be worried?"

Meena: "No... No... You know, I told him nothing about yesterday, and he was a little irritated,
that was it,"

Jalal: "Did he ask about it?"

Meena: "Yes, but it's my business whether I tell him or not, after all he started it with his
stupid initiative..."

Jalal: "But seriously, what do you say to my suggestion?"

Meena: "I say no, Jalal, I'm sorry, but you must not forget that despite everything, I love him
more than anything and I won't hurt him seriously,"

Jalal: "But you did yesterday..."

Meena: "Don't make the mistake of thinking that I want to do something behind his back,

I'm not doing that, Jalal,"

Jalal: "Then why did you sleep with me yesterday when he was gone..."

Meena: "Yes, because I wanted to and I was horny for you, but sorry, more importantly, that

was also an emotional revenge, “

Jalal: “Revenge?!”

Meena: “Yes, he should be taught a lesson, but now unfortunately work is waiting and I have

to stop,"

Jalal: "When will we see each other?"

Meena: "Call me Jalal, this evening,"

Jalal: "Yes, I will and don't forget that I'm leaving soon,"

Meena: "No, I won't forget that, bye, see you in the evening,"

Jalal: " Yes, of course, where?"

Meena: "Oh, I mean hear you…, but seeing next, for sure,"

***

In the evening Nadir came home a little later. Meena was preparing dinner.

He went straight to her and hugged her from behind in the kitchen while she was cooking

and kissed her on the side of the cheek.

Meena just said, "Hello, be careful, I'm at work."

"How was it?" he asked.

"How was what?", Menena wasn't sure what he meant.

"Today I mean, work, lots to do?", Nadir spoke.

"Yes, of course, as always.", she answered.

"Can we talk after dinner?" Nadir asked.

"Yes, of course, I also need to know where you stand and what's going to happen to

us in the next few days,"

Meena replied. She sounded a little serious.

Nadir noticed that she was still irritated, and he should be careful how far he goes.

*

After dinner, as they were sitting in the kitchen before getting up and cleaning up the dishes,

Nadir suddenly said:

"I'm sorry for yesterday, it was my fault. I should have talked to you first. But Jalal didn't give me

any time. He was suddenly there, and I had to decide,"

“Nadir, please, go and sit in the living room, I'll be right there, and we'll talk further.” Meena got up.

After some minutes, he was looking at some magazines as Meena entered and sat down

face to face.

Meena started, "First of all, I accept your apology, as always, what else can I do, you are reckless

and you know it very well," "But I still love you and listen Nadir, I won't trade you for anyone

or anything,", “, you are the content of my life, maybe a stupid content, but still the content of my

life. "Secondly, I don't want to talk about yesterday anymore. You left me alone even though

you knew exactly what would happen then." She paused briefly.

"I just wanted to know if..." Nadir took advantage of her short pause.

Meena interrupted him, "Yes, we had sex, what else did you expect, are we going to sit and

play chess when you leave and and even more, make it known?",

", and you especifically told me to tell him that you were leaving the house, you also disarmed

me and offered him your wife in golden plates and said: Yes, Jalal, come take her and do what

you want with her,", "I'm still very angry Nadir. Nevertheless, I accept your apology,",

"But you have to understand that you have done something incredibly stupid, and stop with your

endless self-love and your search for your personal inclinations and harm and hurt others,

in this case directly your own wife who you claim to love more than anything.", she paused

for a moment and took a breath.

Nadir said nothing but just looked at the floor and then into her eyes.

Meena continued, "Okay. You say nothing. You have no excuse for why you did it, and I am

right. ", ", if you expect me to start telling you today and now how and what and how

often something happened, you are wrong,",

"I am not going to sit here and describe to you everything how and when and why...

I had sex with him. That was it, I slept with him like you wanted and planned and that's it.",

" Is there anything else?", she asked.

Nadir just shook his head as a sign of no. He wanted to say something but before that, his cell

phone rang. He got it, looked at the screen and said "Aha..." then answered.

Nadir: "Hi Mitra, how are you?".
---
Nadir: "Thank you, Meena is also okay, and you?"
---
Nadir: "Yes, sure, I hope we'll see each other very soon."
---
Nadir: "Can I call you tomorrow? We'll plan something, is during the week good?"
---
Nadir: "Yes, some day in the evening, until tomorrow then, have a nice evening."
---
Nadir: "She sends her regards too, bye Mitra, and thank you for thinking of me."

And then he hung up. He smiled and was clearly happy.

He said, "It was Mitra, I'm glad. Can we meet her on Monday or Tuesday evening?

Meena said, "Surely we have still no plan to go out next week,"

"Can you please make a reservation at the Italian restaurant main street?" Then I can

call her tomorrow and inform her,", Nadir said.

“I could tell Jalal too, he knows a very good Italian restaurant where we went together,

of course, if that doesn't bother you...", Meena said and smiled.

Nadir looked uncertain at first but then said, "No, I don't mind, if you want, sure we can,",

and added, "as long as he holds the red line..."

"What a line Nadir, you gave him the ticket to fuck your wife and now you're talking about a

red line? Do you feel good? I don't understand you Nadir, I'm sorry..." Meena's face was now

rather blushed and she was a little agitated again and sounded angry.

“I mean…”, Nadir tried to correct his statement and begin a rescue attempt.

"I don't care Nadir what you in this regard mean Nadir,”, “You don’t understand or care how fragile

other people's emotions  are and how sensitive this topic is, and you don’t change your manner,

no matter what happens and what we talk.","You are not in your operating room where you are

God, and everyone dances to your music and you decide about life and death.",

"Open your eyes Nadir, stay on the ground and in real life and agree with the others, at least

every now and then. ", "I really have had enough regarding this topic. ",

“I won't take him with me to that dinner with Mitra, but my activities from now on, and what

I do or don't with him is my business and I decide that. Done,", then she got up and continued,

"Now tell me what your decision is for the weekend, I mean ranch visit. He will asked about because

he has to make preparations, yes or no?" She asked.

"We can go on Saturday morning, but I want to go back in the evening. I don't want to spend

the night there. You can stay with him if you want, it doesn't bother me..." Nadir said as he leafed through

the magazines on the table, irritated and with slightly shaking voice.

"Okay, thanks for your offer. I will decide what I'm going to do, do you have to work then on the weekend?"

Meena asked.

"No, I have the whole weekend including the holiday, Monday, off. But I don't want to stay

at his ranch or spend the nights there,", Nadir stated.

"Thank you. I'll tell him, like I said maybe I'll stay there for the rest of the weekend. It will surely

be nice and exciting,", she said and moved towards stairs.

“Yes for sure exciting…”, Nadir murmured.

Meena heard his comment but said nothing and climbed the stairs.

Lollobionda

Dear Lolobionda,

Excuse me I didn‘t notice your recent update and analysis about our discussion, me with RCF.
I didn‘t want to continue that topic. The story has to go on, and it would be correct to say, went on
already and has to be told.

But it gives me no peace not to mention some points:

I'm really irritated because I have the impression that we women,
according to the general opinion, always have to come up short and run close and obey...
I'm not a feminist person, who demands more rights because in the history of mankind, millions
of years, women had been wronged as females.

But we live in the 21st century, and I don't understand why I have to come up short when
somebody else is guilty and there is another way, if I am sure that I do not endanger my
relationship and life? I must repeat me: I know and knew my limits because I know my husband.
I knew what his intention was, I knew it exactly , I didn‘t need to ask about!

We're not writing the story as it continues because we want the story to be exciting and hot or logical.
But we tell how it was, and I'll probably behave like that if I get into a situation like that again.

what is logical? How many people behave according to my logic in society?
There is no logic for human behavior because we are first unique and second ilogocal!
Driving a car is more dangerous than flying, we know that from numbers and research reports on
the subject.
But I, as a so-called logical creature, am afraid of flying and not afraid of driving a car. Where is logic?

Our friend, RCF, wanted to know why did I not run after Nadir because then was my behaviour
logical, in his logic world, I can say it why…  Because I was angry with Nadir at that moment, and I
liked Jalal (I like him still – as a good friend of my family- even if I didn‘t meet him for about 12 or
13 years,) and I was horny too!

Satisfied? For me it wasn't my fault and my dearest knew and knows it.

That was my reaction at that moment. Do not making misunderstand me! I mean not that I was
so hot that I could sacrifice my love and my happy life for it, but I do not sacrifice my honour and
me , my ego if „he“ made or makes a mistake, never, not then and not now either!
I can give my life for him but everything has its limits!
Why should I come short? To save our relationship? It was my fault the week before that incident
and I paid for it. Everyone has to take responsibility for their guilt and to be punished!
Aside from that (please attention , this point is most important!), I knew Nadir and I knew that he
wouldn't get lost, why would he? He wanted it to happen, yes, I knew but only under his regulations,
I didn't need to ask why he did it, why he went away that day, because I knew why! It was
hot for him, like always: to show me off and watch, or later hear about how it was, and enjoy, but
only under his control and limited, as he wanted!

Thinking that I had to run after him? Sorry, that's not me....

If I have fun or enjoy other contacts (I emphasize under the assumption that my Nadir is
in favor of, and with his permission), not because that I'm missing something, love,
tenderness or size, thickness or length, in my marriage...
It almost always comes with his initiative and why should I "disappoint" him !?

and I say again here, it's still hot to have sex with my husband!
I don't need anyone to satisfy me, but if that's what he wants, why should I just play a role?

In this regard: I can play the piano a little, but when I play on a piano from
Steinway and Sons (one of the best known piano manufacturers in the world), I will not be able
to compete with Lang Lang (one of the best piano players of all time), no matter what cheap
piano he plays... do you get the point?

We have found our way, despite many illogical things, we, me and my Nadir know how to make each
other happy and give love, this is the most important point.

Have fun…

Hello Meena,

as for my opinion on the whole thing (your story), I can emphasise it very briefly in one or two sentences.

Firstly, I am not condemning or criticising your attitude because I am convinced that there is nothing to criticise about it.
Another aspect is that I am not a moraliser and have no intention of acting like one.
I am not called to do that either!

I am not a woman and unfortunately cannot put myself in the shoes of an independent, self-confident and thoroughly
feminine woman.

I pay my respects to these women ...

... And believe me, this type of woman has always fascinated me,
I would never get involved with a woman who, for example, is muzzled, subordinate and says yes and amen
to everything that comes from her partner/husband.
Neither my late wife nor my current wife was and is like that!

I was and am in favour of ‘all’ decisions and actions that are made TOGETHER in a marriage/partnership and are
made by mutual agreement.
... And your decisions are CONSENSUAL!

What's wrong with that?
I do not see anything wrong with that ...

When reading your story, I often try to put myself in Nadir's shoes, to read his thoughts, to sense his dreams and fears.
I will try to reflect this later in my comments.

Finally, I would like to emphasise once again that I think your decision to stay in the room and not to hide behind Nadir
or to hide behind the door is the right one.
It was Nadir who put you in this situation and he should (and in the end did) pay the price.
Now he can feel jealousy/pain and pleasure at the same time.
He can not blame you for enjoying the passionate sex with Jalal at the highest level afterwards.

And that's exactly what I meant Nadir in my previous comment with ‘EITHER, OR ...

"Now tell me what your decision is for the weekend, I mean ranch visit. He will asked about because  he has to make preparations, yes or no?" She asked.

" ... "

"Okay, thanks for your offer. I will decide what I'm going to do, do you have to work then on the weekend?"

" ... "

"Thank you. I'll tell him, like I said maybe I'll stay there for the rest of the weekend. It will surely be nice and exciting,"

“ ... "

- Meena -

* * *

To be honest, I am a little irritated by this brusque reaction from Meena.

Hello !?!

Nadir did not threaten her with a gun and force her to have sex with Jalal.
Or !?!
She had the option and the freedom to ban both (Nadir and Jalal) from her bedroom and put them outside the door.
No, she did not !!!
Because, she chose sex with Jalal at that time and now - as we found out from her phone call with him -
she also chose revenge against Nadir.
She had already had the first round of sex with Jalal before Nadir called and announced that he was leaving the house.

Why this fuss all of a sudden ?

Nadir should cancel the weekend visit to the ranch and instead have a serious talk with Jalal and put him in his place.

In my opinion, with all good intentions and from a neutral point of view, Meena has overshot the mark with this execution...

Or does she think that her comments above are factually and substantively correct?
Perhaps she is even proud of it !..

Sorry Meena, I can not understand that.

Besides, I do not care about Jalal as a person (you should not either). I do not give a damn about his feelings.
If he had character, he would not be courting a married woman who is even married to a man he even calls his friend.

Interesting update: The misunderstanding between the two was resolved only recently, and it hasn’t even been a few days, yet it seems like they’re already at odds with each other again.

What is going on here in this story?

My comments were misconstrued to the highest level.

When I said why Meena did not ask Nadir what was his true intention, I did not mean it like she has to take his permission going behind him, In fact my point was the fire that Meena was showing now should have come on that night before committing to Jalal. She should just asked Jalal to leave and talk to Nadir on what were his true intentions and may be a fight for thinking her as a doll.

Instead
Now we saw two things that pushed Meena to take a decision
1. You were horny and liked Jalal so that played a part in your decision to have sex with him on that night
2. Nadir pushing him into your room with out your permission was 100% wrong that Irritated Meena and she took split sec decision to take revenge on him.
Both the above factors played a role in events happened on that night.
but revenge on him for doing that is a steep price that you are making him pay.

Now lets ask few questions:
1. Everything that started with Jalal was started by Meena - Yes or No
Answer : Yes
2. Did she cheat Nadir with Jalal while he was on a trip - Yes or No
Answer : Yes
3. Did Nadir make her pay for this - yes or no
Answer : Partially yes but he came back to her as he realized after talking to Mitra that he also has a part in it. He was the one initiated these adventures so he definitely has a part in it. He realized punishing Meena alone is wrong.

Now real question?
4. What happened with Jalal that night does Meena has a part in it? yes or No
Answer : Yes. Because she was the one who started it with Jalal and she wants him too. That impression was in Nadir's mind based on the events from last week. He should have asked Meena's permission and its a mistake to initiate it with out involving her still Meena has a part in it. Would Meena sleep if Nadir sent some one else into the room other than Jalal..obviously NO. she would have kicked both Nadir and other person outside the house. so Meena wants Jalal so it happened, despite major portion of mistake is from Nadir, there is a minor portion of role from Meena as well.
5. Did Meena make Nadir pay for his mistake? Yes or no
Answer: Partially Yes as we do not know the extent this will further go after today. As of now she did by being angry and not telling him the details as in point in time because in her mind she doesn't know Nadir saw it. She talked to Jalal and kept it hidden as she is still angry.

Nadir realized he is also partially wrong in what happened with Jalal a week before and he came back to her, when will Meena realize that she is part of it too?
I am not a feminist nor male chauvinist but I can clearly see this is going over board on the name of punishment or pay for what you did nonsense. What ever happened till now might be Nadir's mistake on that night and a week before it was Meena's mistake but what is going to happen after now in Ranch will be Meena's mistake if she doesn't involve Nadir in it and spending time with Jalal with out Nadir is a mistake! Meena's mistake!

Its only my opinion. Couple need not agree to my thoughts.

You guys want us to read your story and give us our thoughts , then here it is with 100% honesty. Take it or leave it.

Friends,

I have studied Meena's and your opinions very carefully.

I am the one who was confronted with the matter and just as she knows me, I know her too.

We both knew our limits but sometimes we overstepped the mark!

What was said and done were momentary reactions from two insulted and irritated and therefore angry people,

as I said, MOMENTARY REACTION!

When the voices rise...it can certainly be dangerous and go wrong and in our world and between people who

even love each other, things often go wrong...

Now each side has to wake up in time...

And even more importantly: If you are aware of the seriousness of the matter, then you have to wait and watch

before you decide what to do… We know that what is said is not the same as what is done...

Have A nice time,

It's true In the heat of the moment, we often say or do things we don’t truly mean.
However, even brief reactions can leave a mark, especially when emotions are running high.
While they may seem temporary, the hurt they cause can linger, shaping perceptions and relationships in ways that are difficult to undo.

Let's wait and see how things play out.

Hope it was momentary reaction even if its not that should still be fine. Our thoughts are too temporary as these events are in the past so please take it with a grain of salt. Since we do not know the future sometimes we get too edgy on the outcomes of the events in your life. I will always be glad to know that you both are together at the end and that's all that matters when I am reading your story else it would be a thriller lol

Even if next few chapters are tough times for you, I would like to know still what happened. Thanks for sharing!

Dear friend,

When some readers/fans (myself included) share their views and opinions on the events, it shows that we empathize
with the main protagonists and to some extent experience in our minds what Nadir and Meena are going through.

The quality of most of the comments is a testament to the emotionality of the story and how much this story
resonates with us.
With each section/chapter that is posted, new situations are created and the tension increases accordingly.
Another aspect is:
The comments (at least mine) are temporary and focus mainly on the last section posted. So they are not a comprehensive
summary of what happened in the past, nor are they a premature anticipation of what will happen in the future.

I am a bookworm and enjoy reading short stories and novels whose themes and content touch and engage me,
your story is one of them.

I follow it and I read it with pleasure...

In this sense
All the best

Nadir’s Naration:

Thursday was not a day of major changes either. We were still a little reserved and irritated

by the discussion the day before.

I knew and sensed that Meena was very upset about my comments and decision regarding

the weekend.

During dinner I suggested to meet Mitra on next day, Friday as we both had time.

Meena accepted.

After dinner, I called Mitra. I suggested to meet on  Friday evening, if she has time,

and she said yes.

Meena looked for a suitable restaurant, found it and made a reservation.

I had to prepare some things for my teaching in the university next day, then I went into

my study while she was watching TV.

Meena’s Narration:

Meena called Jalal after Nadir left for his study.

Meena: "We will come on Saturday morning, but unfortunately we have to return in the

evening, Nadir has no time,"

Jalal: "Too bad. Can't you stay longer, Meena? You know you would make me very happy,"

Meena: "Yes, but I think you already know that I won't stay without him, but thank you,"

Jalal: ", and next week?"

Meena: " I can't say anything yet, maybe on Wednesday. Nadir is busy at work then but I have

 the afternoon free,"

Jalal: "Yes, great, we can go  dancing first...".

Meena: "No... No dancing, listen Jalal, I just want to go for a coffee and chat, no other plans please,"

Jalal: "Okay, okay, but before I travel and leave the country forever, I want to go dancing with you one more

time..."

Meena: "I don't mind but only I go if Nadir is also there,"

Jalal: "Okay, whatever you want, if it has to be, I'll accept that too,"

Meena: "Okay, then until Saturday for now, please send me the exact address of the ranch,"

***

Nadir’s Narration:

The atmosphere between us was still cloudy until we met Mitra on Friday.

She seemed even prettier to me. Compared to Meena, she was not taller but slimmer

and more playfully...

Meena was and is always rather shy and reserved, when she met somebody for first time,

no matter if male or female.

But after an hour they became very close to each other. They talked about everything and

Meena was much happier. I was happy that I had suggested that day for meeting.

Mitra talked about my suffering days at the coast and our drunken state afterwards in the evening.

As a final sentence about it, she said, "Thank God that I am not interested in men at the

moment, otherwise, I would be a rival for you, Meena. I like your husband very much but only

as a friend. And now that I have met you, I know why he loves you so much. You two are an ideal couple,"

I guessed she noticed that there was a cold atmosphere between me and Meena at the moment.

When they exchanged phone numbers as we said goodbye, I was sure that soon they would

talk about our relationship and Mitra, being the person she is, would definitely try to get us

back together, no matter what the cause of the problem is.

***

As we were on our way home, I had the impression that our meeting with Mitra had done us

both a lot of good.

In the car, we both apologized each other for behaving a bit selfishly.

I asked her opinion about Mitra and Meena spoke very enthusiastically and positively about her.

She even suggested that we take Mitra to the ranch tomorrow.

I replied, "Yes, I agree, then if you stay there overnight, I could drive back with her," and looked

at her and smiled.

Meena gave me a light slap on the upper arm and said, "Did you really think I would stay there

without you?".

"Yes, you said you would decide about it later, and you will not take into account what

I mean, am I right?", I asked, smiling.

"Don't talk nonsense, you know me, Nadir," she replied and added, "Besides, I'm not letting

you drive home alone with such a pretty woman like Mitra, wrong plan! Sorry," and giggled.

Then Meena called Jalal in the car and said that we would probably take a guest with us and

asked if he was okay with that. Without hesitation he said yes and then she contacted Mitra

by phone, she apparently hadn't planned for the next day and said that she would be happy

to come along.

When we got home, it was very late and since we had to get up early the next morning, we

went straight to bed.

***

It wasn't even 8 o'clock in the morning when Mitra showed up at our door.

I brought her in and then quickly went to our nearby bakery and got some fresh bread for

breakfast.

By the time I got back, Meena had prepared the breakfast table outside in the garden by

the swimming pond.

An hour later we were on our way. And it was about ten o'clock before noon when we

arrived at Jalal's Rach.

Meena’s Narration:

There was a lot more going on than they expected.

In front of the large, rather colonial-style ranch house, a few people were standing

around a large and long table with champagne glasses in their hands.

Jalal welcomed them and kissed Meena on the cheek and shook hands with Mitra and Nadir.

“Hi Doki, everything is OK,” he said and laughed.

"A very nice house, you have," Nadir spoke.

Jalal replied, "Wait until you see Tahir's, mine looks like a bungalow opposite his," and laughed.

Then he introduced the others.

There was a young and shy guy, his son Cyrus, He was as tall as his father, only slimmer

and more delicate, with slightly long hair, and he only had a glass of orange juice in his

hand.  Jalal’s friend, Tahir, whom Meena met in Jalal’s house already, and Tahir’s girlfriend, Sara.

Tahir was a somewhat corpulent, funny guy with a beard and brown-reddish hair. He was

maybe a little taller than Nadir, but definitely heavier. Tahir seemed to be in mid-fiftees.

Sara, his girlfriend, was an elegant woman in mid-forties, with too much make-up and

with very revealing cleavage.

In addition to the three ranch wait staff, there was one more person. A man in his mid to

late fifties with greying hair, a sportive-elegant, good-looking man who seemed very polite

and kissed the ladies' hands when introducing themselves.

Jalal introduced him as his and Tahir's childhood friend, Farzan, and now long-time lawyer

of both.

Sara and Farzan both lived in the city. He owned a well-known law firm, and she

worked in a ministry as an office manager. Apparently, Tahir did not want to share

his life with a woman and never had a steady partner. According to Sara, the two had

been together for 3 years.

As they shook hands, Tahir said to Nadir with a laugh, "Young happy man, Doki, I would

also have enjoyed having been accompanied by two beautiful angels, this poor Jalal doesn't

even have one!"

Tahir had two very beautiful and well-behaved dogs with him, who did not move apart

from his side. They were both large male dogs, grey-haired, about 60-70 cm tall.

Meena and Mitra were fascinated from them. Mitra asked about their breed.

Jalal said, “These two guys are his nearest family,”.

Tahir smiled and added,” They are Weimaraner breed. This is Thunder, he is slightly larger,

very strong and fast, Thunder say hi to ladies,”. Thunder took a step towards them and

sat down again. Tahir said to Meena and Mitra, “don't be afraid, just show him your hands,”

Thunder came forward and lifted his right front paw and shook hands first with Meena

and then with Mitra! Then he went back.

Tahir said, “and this guy is Sherlock. Sherlock is very curious and very intelligent.

Sherlock say hi to beautiful ladies,”. Sherlock did the same.

Meena asked, “They are Hunting dogs, right?”.

"Yes, they are from hunting breed," Tahir replies.

"But Tahir is not a hunter, he hates hunting, he never went hunting with us, with me and

Farzan, not even when he was young, and we went hunting with our fathers. He is against

killing wild animals.", Jalal said.

"The animals are never wild, they are natural as nature intended, we humans are wild

because we kill animals just for fun,", Tahir said.

Jalal continued, "A large field with forest on his property is reserved for wild animals.

When they are sick or injured, they are brought to him, to his forest, and they can live

happily, there. He has even a special vet to check on them. He's a nature lover, isn't he?".

Meena was looking at Tahir with some moisture in her eyes, with a mixture of fascination

and empathy.

Mitra said, "It's admirable,".

"But I don't do it to be admired, I really feel a kinship with them, and I think I'm

responsible, otherwise I'd have a bad feeling,".

After some clinking glasses and a short chat, the group toured the huge ranch, the stables,

and the fruit and wine fields in two jeeps for about two hour and were back in front of the

house shortly after 2pm.

Over lunch, that had been prepared in their absence on the long table, Jalal told them

that he has sold everything, and the ranch now belongs largely to Tahir, and he will probably

leave much earlier than planned. His son will join him in a few weeks.

While talking, he often looked in Meena's direction for a long times and said, "Our new

house is in New Jersey and if any one of you ever visits us, you are welcome," and added,

"I am of the opinion that if somebody is not happy with the situation, must fly on, like a bird,

and look for new nest, perhaps happiness awaits him somewhere else." The last sentences

were addressed directly to Meena and probably only Nadir and Mitra noticed this.

All afternoon, Jalal tried to approach Meena and perhaps have a quick chat with her

alone, but to no avail.

Meena hardly left Nadir's side the whole time.

She often held her husband's hand demonstratively, like young lovers.

The lawyer, Farzan was more in conversation with Mitra, who is also a lawyer, and they

often talked about outdated and even uncivilized laws in the country which were newly

enforced.

Jalal has often talked about his plans in USA and his new company there.

Meena asked if he was planning to have a ranch there too and he smiled and replied,

"If not a ranch, then definitely a big garden, I can't live without flowers and plants,

they will remain my companion if I don't have an ideal woman by my side.", and added,

"They will remind me of my roses here and the beautiful memories of my house and garden,

here in the homeland!".

Tahir often talked about the childhood of the three musketeers and what a happy time

they had together.

Farzan, the lawyer friend of the two, was also very talkative about their youth.

He said that Tahir was always the initiator when it came to doing bad things and

always provoked the two good boys.

He was the middle one who always mediated and calmed everything down and Jalal

was the very well behaved one.

Meena listened with interest and often looked in Jalal's direction with a smile.

Once she said, "Then he hasn't developed so optimally and always well,", then laughed

and winked at him.

Jalal laughed too and said, "I'm not as bad as you think, I just look like

that, life hasn't given me much of a chance to show my good side,", and added,

"I was always too late to get together with the good guys, when I reached them, the

good and pretty ones were already taken,", ", and I had to spend my life with

these two ugly guys and especially that dirty lumberjack," and pointed with his head

towards Tahir.

"You can't drag my name through the mud in front of good and pretty people, now that

you are disappearing. Maybe I'd like to get together with good and pretty people

sometime..." looking winked towards Meena and Mitra, and laughed.

His girlfriend, Sara looked at him angrily and said, "This woodcutter is not allowed

to drink more wine," and hit his arm with the back of her hand.

Mitra seemed as if she was having a lot of fun, laughed and was very happy and once

even tried to ride a small pony.

The time passed very quickly, and it was soon evening and Nadir said that unfortunately

They had to leave.

One might notice that the three became very close to everyone there and even kissed

others goodbye.

During the trip home, Mitra talked about her life and what she does and how she

is very carefree and happy now that she lives alone. She said that life is much simpler

and easier than the people imagine.

Her last comment that evening was, nobody should be so hard on himself and on others,

because the life is shorter than you think.

Steal an hour from the clock’, as the saying goes.

This visit to the ranch was like that proverb and I think it was good for both of them.

Meena did not let Jalal take ‘that hour’ for himself.
With small gestures, she made it clear to everyone at the ranch that she and Nadir were the
minute and hour hands in the clock of the life of this ‘stolen hour’...

Haha rightly said, Though I am sure Jalal is not going to give up so easily. Lets see if he gets some time to spend alone with Meena before he leaves the country.
