Business Law: Contracts [TTC Audio]
English | 1994 | 6:10 | MP3@192kbps | MP3 | 164 MB
By: Frank B. Cross, The Great Courses
Narrated by: Frank B. Cross

What is a contract? How can you make one binding? How can you avoid being prematurely bound by one? What remedies are available if someone breaches your contract? These questions and the other important issues of legally enforceable promises are covered in these eight lectures.

As you'll learn in these eight lectures, contractual agreements are one of the principal mechanisms for ordering life in society. Professor Cross lays a comprehensive foundation in the practical and intricate body of law that governs contracts. Throughout his expertly delivered lectures, he guides you through a range of topics and issues and helps you finally make better sense of business contracts-in all their seemingly overwhelming complexity.

You'll explore the boundaries of contracts in law, including the four main requirements that any contract must satisfy. You'll unpack the Uniform Commercial Code of the United States, which incorporated common law about commercial contracts into state statutes. You'll learn about the main components of a contract (such as the preliminary issues of offer and acceptance, the definiteness of a contract's terms, and the ability of parties to negotiate). You'll also review problems associated with the performance and enforcement of a contract, including how much of a performance is required to consider a contract discharged and the categories of persons who are permitted to enforce agreements. Please note: This course is not intended to provide financial or investment advice. All investments involve risk: Past performance does not guarantee future success. You acknowledge that any reliance on any information from the materials contained in this course shall be at your own risk.

Description
Have you ever wanted to learn geometry nodes but didn't know where to start or were overwhelmed by them? Well look no further! This course will go from A-Z of geometry nodes. We will cover ALL geometry nodes and ALL their options and along the way create some awesome scenes! This course is structed so that every video introduces a new geometry node. With every new node we learn, we will build on the previous knowledge of what we learned. Each section of the course will introduce between 10 to 15 new nodes and by the end of each section you will have created an awesome geometry nodes scene! This course is project based so we will be making an awesome project with each section! We will learn how to make things such as:Buildings & VillagesTreesCloudsGrassA road With Cars on ItVinesLightingDragonsA Candyland SceneA Sci-fi CorridorRivers With Boats on Them!A DonutA Strategy GameHow to Create Hair Using the Hair NodesAND MUCH, MUCH more!3 Different Ways to Do the Course!Because of how the course is structed, you can do the course 3 different ways:Again we are going to learn every single geometry node, their options and how to use them. Because of this there 3 ways you can do this course. For options 2 and 3 I recommend knowing a little bit about geometry nodes first. If you are not familiar with geometry nodes at all it is best to go with option 1 or do the first couple sections of the course so that you understand the basics of geometry nodes before going for option 2 or 3.Option 1 is to do the course from start to finish. If you are new to geometry nodes or would like to learn every geometry node, this is the best option. Every video we will learn a new geometry node and each video will build on the last oneThe second option is to skip to any project or section and do just that section. Each section we start a brand new project so if you want to do a particular project or learn some particular nodes you can just skip to that section. The third option is if you want to learn or go over a particular node you can go to just that node and learn about that node or refresh your memory on that node! What will you have gained by the end of this course?By the end of this course you will have learned every single geometry node, their options and HOW to use them. Not only that but you will have created some awesome projects along the way. The best part? you will now be equipped with the knowledge and understanding to create your own geometry node based scenes! This course will empower you so that you no longer are in confusion about geometry nodes but you have mastery over them like a pro!So get the course & let's learn about geometry nodes!

Introduction to ZBrush 2022
MP4 | Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1080 | Audio: aac, 44100 Hz | Duration: 20h 41m | 46.8 GB
Genre: eLearning | Language: English

Learning ZBrush at your own pace has never been easier. This detailed guide by Madeleine Scott-Spencer will take you from the bare basics of ZBrush through a full ZBrush sculpting workflow. You ll follow along with Maddie s chapters in an organic, hands-on manner, gaining confidence with ZBrush s unique interface and powerful tools at every step of the way.

Beginning with a quickstart chapter that shows how to sculpt a detailed creature bust, Maddie continues with in-depth dives into ZBrush s key features. She demystifies the ZBrush interface, menus, and windows to remove any intimidation factors early on. Explaining the logic behind the program s UI as well as what the tools do, you ll quickly learn how to work quickly in ZBrush and how to take advantage of custom hotkeys for even greater efficiency.

The full ZBrush Brush system is explained in this workshop, including 3D Alphas, VDM brushes, IMM, and even how to create your own custom brushes. You will learn how to sculpt a full body using DynaMesh and explore the importance of Subdivision levels in creating accurate anatomical forms. Alphas and detailing for fine pores and wrinkles and even how to paint skin textures from scratch are also covered in great detail for your educational benefit.

Maddie also covers how to get your work outside of the program by exploring ZBrush s retopology and UV tools, as well as how to export Color, Normal, and Displacement maps for rendering in Maya, 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, and any other rendering tool you prefer. For those interested in 3D printing, this workshop includes a look at Decimation Master and 3D Print Exporter for you.

The intention of this comprehensive workshop is to help you become a confident intermediate ZBrush artist that is ready to tackle the creation of 3D creatures, characters, props, and more. Topics covered include how to create complex models with Subtools, managing Polygroups for more accurate modeling, sculpting and painting in layers, modeling with ZSpheres, posing figures, and much more. Extensive downloadable project files are available with this workshop to help you follow along with many of the important lessons covered.

Between Cross and Crescent: Jewish Civilization from Mohammed to Spinoza [TTC Audio]
English | 2005 | 12:05 | MP3@192kbps | MP3 | 687 MB

by: David B. Ruderman, The Great Courses
Narrated by: David B. Ruderman

Experience the evolution of all of Jewish life during the 10 critical centuries from its rabbinic foundations in late antiquity until the dawn of modernity in the 17th century. During this time, Judaism was forever affected by its encounters with the surrounding social, economic, political, and intellectual environments of both medieval ., and Christendom.

As a result of those encounters, new pathways of philosophical inquiry and religious spirituality would be formed. The Hebrew language would find new ways of artistic expression. And the role of Jews in the life of the surrounding community would be changed forever, sometimes even increased, as was the paradoxical case in Italy, by the very ghettoization meant to keep them isolated.

These 24 insightful lectures give you a unique perspective from which to examine the three major Western religions as they interact over time, and noting especially their ability or inability to tolerate and even appreciate the "other", as viewed from the vantage point of the Jewish minority. They also feature the emergence of two distinct intellectual threads: the rise of medieval Jewish philosophy and the appearance of Jewish mysticism and piety as the faith's primary expressions of religiosity.

These lectures span an enormous disciplinary range, moving back and forth among history, philosophy, religion, and art. No previous familiarity with Jewish, ---c, or Christian history is necessary to enjoy this broad and detailed examination of the leading Jewish communities of the period, their political and economic structures, the social relations between Jews and non-Jews, and Jewish cultural and intellectual achievements in a premodern world dominated by two other faiths.

Beethoven's Piano Sonatas [TTC Audio]
English | 2005 | 18:23 | MP3@192kbps | MP3 | 758 MB
by: Robert Greenberg, The Great Courses
Narrated by: Robert Greenberg

A revolutionary man living in a revolutionary time, Beethoven used the piano as his personal musical laboratory. The piano sonata became, more than any other genre of music, a place where he could experiment with harmony, motivic development, the contextual use of form, and, most important, his developing view of music as a self-expressive art. Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas include some of his most popular works as well as some of his most experimental. More than any other of his amazing works, Beethoven's piano sonatas are his personal testament, expressed in his own voice.

These 24 marvelous lectures touch on every one of these fascinating pieces, approaching them chronologically, from the terse and powerful first sonata of 1795 to the revolutionary Hammerklavier Sonata of 1818 and the radical last three sonatas of 1820-1822.

The sonatas are not simply compositions for the piano but are about the developing technology of the piano itself, an evolving instrument that Beethoven pushed to its limits and then beyond, ultimately writing music for an idealized piano that didn't come into existence until 40 years after his death.

Because Beethoven died 50 years before the invention of sound recording, we will never hear his voice or the sound of his playing. Instead, Professor Greenberg plays you hundreds of excerpts of Maestro Claude Frank's recordings over the span of the course. Truly, Beethoven's piano music is his voice, emerging from his mind through his fingers to our ears and hearts.

Rhetoric, Poetics, and Logic by Aristotle
English | ISBN: 9781483053790 | MP3@64 kbps | 13h 28m | 370.2 MB

Aristotle's influence upon modern culture has become more and more important in recent years. His contribution to the sum of all wisdom dominates all our philosophy and even provides direction for much of our science. And all effective debaters, whether they know it or not, employ Aristotle's three basic principles of effective argument which form the spine of rhetoric: "ethos," the impact of the speaker's character upon the audience; "pathos," the arousing of the emotions; and "logos," the advancement of pertinent arguments. In his discussion, Aristotle observes several aspects of epic poetry, lyric poetry, and comedy. He maintains that poetry has greater philosophical value because it deals with universals, while history states particular facts.

Biological Anthropology: An Evolutionary Perspective [TTC Audio]
English | July 8, 2013 | ASIN: B00DTNW9E0 | M4B@64 kbps | 12 hrs 3 mins | + PDF Guidebook | 192 MB
Lecturer: Professor Barbara J. King

Who are we? It's a question humankind has been asking about itself for a long time.

But when we consider ourselves not as static beings fixed in time, but as ever-changing creatures, our viewpoint of human history becomes much more captivating. The question is no longer "Who are we?" but "What have we become? And what are we becoming?

"What makes this new viewpoint possible is the evolutionary perspective offered by biological anthropology, through which we study the evolution, genetics, anatomy, and modern variation of the human species. In this series of 24 captivating lectures, an award-winning teacher and acclaimed scholar delves into the story of how, why, where, and when we became human.

You'll gain a fresh understanding of the forces that have shaped our species, as Professor King synthesizes the best that more than a century of scientific scholarship has to offer across a variety of disciplines, including primate anatomy and behavior - to understand evolution and to learn more about our common ancestor - and molecular anthropology, to gain the insights offered by fossils, ancient skeletal remains, and lifestyle information like cave art and stone tools.

Between the Rivers: The History of Ancient Mesopotamia (TTC Audio)
English | 2013 | ASIN: B00DTNW7TC | MP3@48 Kbps | Duration: 18 h 01 m | 353 MB

Alexis Q. Castor (Author, Narrator)

All cultures lie in the shadow of ancient Mesopotamia-the land between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers that is now mostly encompassed by the borders of modern Iraq. In this fascinating series of 36 lectures, an award-winning teacher leads you on a vivid journey through Mesopotamian history-from Neolithic times to the age of Alexander the Great-and into the lives of mighty emperors, struggling farmers, ambitious merchants, and palace servants to reveal why this ancient culture occupies such a foundational position in our history.

The lectures look back to the time when the first cities arose in Mesopotamia and kings created complex bureaucracies to rule their expanding territories, thus fostering the invention of writing and other technologies. You peer into the lives and fortunes of Mesopotamia's people and learn about the birth of the urban lifestyle.

Professor Castor creates a detailed image not only of larger Mesopotamian society but of life on the level of the individual Mesopotamian as well. Among the many fascinating insights into daily Mesopotamian life you examine are how they ate, worked, learned, worshiped, married, and reared children; used scientific ideas to help them order and understand the natural world; engaged with their powerful neighbors in Egypt, Syria, and Anatolia (modern-day Turkey); waged war and experienced peace; and endured the collapse of their cities.

Big History: The Big Bang, Life on Earth, and the Rise of Humanity [TTC Audio]
English | July 8, 2013 | ASIN: B00DTNW86O | MP3@96 kbps | 24 hrs 25 mins | + PDF Guidebook | 1007 MB
Lecturer: Professor David Christian

How is it possible for the disciplines of cosmology, geology, anthropology, biology, and history to fit together? These 48 lectures answer that question by weaving a single story from accounts of the past developed by a variety of scholarly disciplines. The result is a story stretching from the origins of the universe to the present day and beyond, in which human history is seen as part of the history of our Earth and biosphere, and the Earth's history, in turn, is seen as part of the history of the universe.

Like traditional creation stories told by the world's great religions and mythologies, this lecture series provides a map of our place in space and time. But it does so using the insights and knowledge of modern science, as synthesized by a renowned historian. While you may have heard parts of this story before in courses on geology, history, anthropology, biology, cosmology, and other scholarly disciplines, Professor Christian provides more than just a recap of those disciplines. "Because of the scale on which we look at the past, you should not expect to find in it many of the familiar details, names, and personalities that you'll find in other types of historical teaching and writing," he explains. "For example, the French Revolution and the Renaissance will barely get a mention. They'll zoom past in a blur. You'll barely see them. Instead, what we're going to see are some less familiar aspects of the past. We'll be looking, above all, for the very large patterns, the shape of the past.

"Prepare yourself for a journey through time and across space, from the first moments of existence to the distant reaches of the far future."

Bach and the High Baroque [TTC Audio]
English | ASIN: B00DTNQGTE | 08 July 2013 | 25:05:16 | MP3@192kbps | 689 MB | Author: Robert Greenberg | Narrator: Robert Greenberg

Though unappreciated in his own time, Johann Sebastian Bach has ascended to Olympian heights, the verdict of contemporary audiences long since overruled by succeeding generations of music lovers. But what makes his music great? In this series of 32 lectures, a working composer and musicologist brings his exceptional teaching skills to the task of helping you hear the extraordinary sweep of Bach's music. You'll understand the compositional language that enabled him to compose such extravagant, unbridled music while still maintaining precise control of every aspect - beat, melody, melodic repetition, interaction, and harmony. Whether devoted admirer or casual listener, you'll gain a new appreciation of the composer and a heightened skill at listening to his work.
You begin by learning the musical traditions and composers that inspired Bach, and how he absorbed those influences to become the transcendent composer of the High Baroque, more representative of the period and its aesthetic of emotional extravagance and technical control than any other. And you'll learn how both his German Lutheran heritage and family background - at least 42 relatives professionally involved with music - helped shape him as an artist.
Above all, though, you experience an abundance of music, with Professor Greenberg highlighting his discussions by playing major excerpts from several of Bach's most important works - including the Brandenburg Concerto no. 2, the Goldberg Variations, and the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor - and also showing you how to compare Bach with other composers both before and after his time.
