This course starts from the very beginning. We build it up little by little and we'll explore all the tools that will help you in your surfacing work.

Description
I have been teaching Rhino for the last 7 years at the university at a Master's level for people interested in transportation and product design. I used Rhino for 20 years and also work as an industrial designer in the aerospace industry for one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world for the last 17 years. In the first couple of weeks I will show you step by step on how to get around in Rhino 3D and use basic 2D and 3D tools. From then on, I will share with you how you can edit and modify surfaces to add a greater level of details. As we progress through the lessons you will then learn on how to render with the basic Rhino render followed by quick examples using industry standard rendering plug ins like Maxwell Render. Finally towards the end of the course I will show you how to fix corrupted surfaces from imported files as well as initiating you to the principles of reverse engineering techniques based on a scanned clay model. Overall the course contains 10 weeks session. Each lecture are about 2 hours and 30 minutes long. I 'll also make many demos , simple to follow and understand. These exercises will be made available for you to follow.Even though my tutorials are done on the v5 version, those of you who wish to use V6 version will have no problems to follow along. Also don't forget to follow me on Facebook as well , as I regularly communicate to my students new exercises, announcements, and projects done with Rhino. Just look me up in Facebook for Rhino 3D tutorials Alexandre Galin.Whether you're an industrial designer, architect, interior designer, engineer , technician or simply a hobbyist, I can help you in your personal growth. So I hope you'll tag along. Thanks for your attention and kind regards,Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.Alexandre

Unreal Engine 4: Learn How to Create a Natural Scene
Michael Gerard | Duration: 30:16 h | Video: H264 1280x720 | Audio: AAC 48 kHz 2ch | 34,50 GB | Language: English

More than just giving you all my secrets for the Unreal Engine, I will show you how to create your own models on 3ds Max, with the textures from Megascans library and with Speedtree, we will create our sets of trees, ground foliage like grass and plants but also more generic vegetation like ferns or clovers.

Because shaders (materials) are the visual power of your projects, we will create all the materials needed for our scene. For vegetation, landscape, decals or Megascans assets. We will set up everything from material functions to Master Materials and end with easy-to-configure Instances.

To get a unique visual we will create our own landscape textures with Quixel Mixer.

Lobo - 3D character in Blender course
Published 10/2022
MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz, 2 Ch
Genre: eLearning | Language: English | Duration: 42 lectures (23h 53m) | Size: 26 GB

How to make 3D character in Blender for 3D printing or portfolio

What you'll learn
Making a full character in Blender
Working from concept
Modelling for 3D print
Muscular male anatomy

Requirements
Intermediate level of Blender knowledge

Description
Hello guys, and you are probably wondering who is this guy?

This is Lobo, and he is the character we will do entirely in Blender in this course!

He is also a bit crazy, so don't think of not taking this course, coz he might get angry!

In this course you will get over 30 hours of realtime sculpting and modelling in Blender, with the purpose of having a ready model for rendering or 3D printing.

Now again probably you are wondering who is your instructor?

His name is Niko, and he is a 3D character artist and educator with over 15 years in the game industry. He has over 20 000 students in his online courses of 3D character creation and human anatomy.

And also a youtube channel with over 50 000 subscribers.

The amazing concept for this character is done by the incredible artist Dario Jelu i

In the course we will start a bit differently with gathering our references, needed for the character creation, and analyzing our concept. We will then start modelling the head, the teeth and tongue. Then we will model the body, arms and legs, where i will speak about the anatomy and shapes of those body parts. After, we will make the basic shape of the dog and continue with the clothes. We will do Lobo's belt, jacket, potnik and pants. A hardsurface modelling will be next when we make the granade and the weapon. Then we will jump to do some knee armor, shoelases, and all kinds of elements this character has on himself, and there will be some modelling and sculpting, mark my word :).

I will then, with great pleasure, make one of the skulls on his belt and then make the batman mask, the wonderwoman tiara and a flash helmet. I just love sculpting skulls!

Then we will make some chains, which will be also an interesting part of our course. Dog chain, neck chain, and the arm chain. While making all the features of this character i will always talk and show you how to model it to be 3D printer friendly. With bigger and thicker elements and overall attention to the detail.

After we work few more hours, detailing and finishing Lobo, we will rig the arms and hands, and make the pose from the concept. Then we will do some more cleaning and adjusting untill we are ready to call it done. And for last, we will do a interesting render with the help of Photoshop and a turntable, with the help of Blender himself :).

This course is absolutely made for intermediate Blender users, and although i will talk you trough almost every step i do in it, for the beginners i would recommend taking my Absolute beginners 3D character in Blender course first, and then go back to this one :).

So if you kinda like this crazy and wild looking character, and you want to see the whole process, and even make it yourself i would say you might want to check out the course :).

Who this course is for
All who want to learn complex 3D character creation in Blender

We will be completing a complete armature from scratch, and you will learn how to place bones to help you make animating feel like a breeze. Using the techniques I will teach you, you will be able to export your animations into game engines like Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) and Unity. To help you keep up with the course progress, we will break down parts of the armature creation process, and I will show you how to organize everything efficiently.AnimationHave you ever wanted to learn how to build a full animation cycle? The learning outcomes of this course include creating a complete animation cycle in Blender 2.8. As part of animating this medieval catapult, we will be working on making it's propelling motion realistic, working hard to make each individual component move in a hyper-real way. You can apply these skills to any animations you decide to make in the future, and I would be excited to see you upload animations of other models as part of this course project. You will also be shown how to keyframe, and advanced components of this course within a course will show to create rope where the textures change as the animation rolls.SimulationFire is an essential component in every medieval catapult, and this course will also show you how to simulate a boulder s flames. We will be simulating realistic fire and smoke using nothing more than Blender 2.8 to make a fully operable war machine. You will also learn how to create materials from scratch using the Blender 2.8 nodes system. We will be combining this fire simulation with your animation to create a medieval catapult model you can be proud of.RenderingFinally, after all the preparations for making a hyper-realistic medieval catapult model, truly worthy for a gruesome battlefield, we will be rendering the animation into a short film. You will learn how to use lighting from three high-dynamic-range images (HDRIs) also include in this course for you to use, as a freebie. We will be setting up cameras and I will be going through different techniques to help improve the quality of your renders. Our render will be set out in the Blender 2.8 video editor.

Think about it all these assets would fit perfectly within the rooms we created, making your 3D dungeon game environment alive with the power of storytelling.

Although guillotines were introduced later than the medieval historical period our other assets are meant to depict, we thought you would enjoy learning how to make them as part of Blender to Unreal Engine Become a Dungeon Prop Artist . We will be ensuring that our model is structurally accurate. For example, we need to make sure that the structure can hold the weight of all its counterparts, including the blade.

What about creating an interior for your castle with Creating a Modular Kitbash in Blender and using these to populate the space too and create an environment that everyone will talk about?

This course will give you access to just over 30 hours of 3D art in around 160 comprehensive lessons.

This course will see you learn all the techniques pros use and how they use them. Learn how to achieve realism using custom materials to create blood spatter that will look perfect for your torture chamber at the bottom of your dungeon!

Blender

Create the Blender to Unreal Engine Become a Dungeon Prop Artist props and walk through the halls of your very own medieval dungeon with banners, cages, and a not-so-medieval but very torturous and iconic, guillotine.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to model gems and treasure coins to add that extra glow to your scene?

You will do just that!

Blender to Unreal Engine Become a Dungeon Prop Artist will see you build 3D props fit for the medieval dungeon of your dreams (or nightmares!), including but not limited to

- House banners

- Wall cages

- Stocks like in Game of Thrones (GoT)

- A stretching rack

- A guillotine

- Traditional stocks

- A straw bed

- Table and chairs

- Torches

- A weapons rack

- Candles, books, parchment, gems, and other furniture

Master geometry nodes to speed up your workflow. You will be able to alter how a prop looks (i.e., its geometry) using node-based functions. We will also set up the geometry node variable menus in the modelling tab to save you time rather than going into the geometry nodes menu every time. I will also be introducing you to another hidden addon in Blender the loop tools addon. It enables you to create circles and circles in geometry, allowing you to bridge your geometry with two clicks

Following the success of my latest courses, we will be modelling, texturing, and finalizing every individual asset before moving on to the next. Students have said that this has helped them in staying excited throughout the creation process, being able to see how their scene comes closer to the course preview step-by-step.

Of course, you could set yourself a challenge and diversify aspects of the medieval dungeon props such as changing the textures, adding different variations, or more assets such as different doors and smaller assets like chains on the wall to make your medieval dungeon more alive.

Find out how to set up materials Blender. Change them to suit your needs by adding adjustment modes and becoming a true texturing genius. For an extra touch of detail, you will learn how to use the grease pencil to draw lines to turn them into curves, and finally, into 3D mesh. This is a great technique for creating swirls and ornamental work.

Use Blender to Unreal Engine Become a Dungeon Prop Artist to master UV editing using edge seam creation, custom projection and UV manipulation to make the best use of your seamless textures.

Instead of choosing one rendering engine over another, you will be learning how to use Blender s Eevee and Cycles X renderers to get the most out of your prop presentation.

Unreal Engine 5

Through Blender to Unreal Engine Become a Dungeon Prop Artist you will be learning everything right from importing individual models from Blender to having them work correctly in UE5. We will be manually importing our asset collection and setting up material instances for them. One of the most interesting parts of the UE5 part of this course will be that we will be setting up torch blueprints with realistic fire particle animation and light flicker to bring your scene to life.

We will look at how to import and use textures created specifically for Unreal Engine and use them to create the materials for our medieval dungeon props. You will find out how to change PBR texture values by directly adjusting their information from within, built in the image editor.

Next, we will set up PBR materials with adjustable parameters that will allow you to change the intensity of the normal map (e.g., adjust colour, change roughness values, and more). You will work through the different transparency materials that will help you set up cut-out decals, partially transparent decals with PBR values and two side-faced textures.

Blender to Unreal Engine Become a Dungeon Prop Artist will also be an introduction to how to set up files to create a clean UI. The skills you learn here are fully transferable to all your future builds.

One of the most exciting things about Blender to Unreal Engine Become a Dungeon Prop Artist is that you will create collisions for your props to block out your playable character. This will help your assets fit in seamlessly within your Blender 3 to Unreal Engine 5 Dungeon Modular Kitbash , ready to test out with your UE5 character. To optimise your time, you will learn a method for placing your assets quickly within any type of game level.

Your UE5 milestone project will be to present your asset pack in Unreal Engine 5 and render out a turntable video.

Advanced Character Creation
MP4 | Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1080 | Audio: aac, 44100 Hz | Duration: 20h 22m | 12.4 GB
Genre: eLearning | Language: English

Join senior Blizzard character artist Ben Erdt and learn to build advanced characters for game cinematics! You ll learn to analyse a concept sketch, sculpt your character in ZBrush, create materials in Painter, light and present your work, and much more.

After completing the course, you ll have a deep understanding of how to create your own world-class character art.

CINEMATIC CHARACTER WORKFLOW
Starting off in ZBrush, Ben will teach you advanced techniques for building your 3D character from scratch. When concept sculpting the model, we ll block in both the anatomy and hard surface mesh. Once the high-poly is done, we build the actual render mesh using clean and industry standard topology, built for animation and performance. The entire render mesh is UV mapped using UDIMS.

In Painter, we re creating the materials step by step. We ll set up basic shaders, build a color hierarchy and focus on storytelling by adding aging, wear and tear, and dirt to the textures. Finally, we re lighting and rendering our character to make a stunning final image you ll be proud to put in your portfolio.

HARD SURFACE MODELING
We re covering how to build the character suit and armour from scratch, and have packed the course with an abundance of advanced hard surface techniques. The entire suit is sculpted in Zbrush up to a rough state, and then cleaned up using three different techniques: Manual cleaning with Dynamesh, regular sculpting using brushes, sub-D modeling with Zremesher, and sub-D modeling in Modo. The finished result is a clean model ready for texture baking.

TEXTURING
In Substance Painter, we re texturing the character using a combination of hand painting and procedural techniques. Covering both the hard surface and organic skin texturing, you re getting a full view of the whole texturing process. Adding wear, tear, and grime is clear focus during texturing, and is what makes the character feel alive and believable.

YOUR TEACHER
Ben Erdt is a veteran games artist with more than 9 years of experience in the AAA game industry. He s currently working at Blizzard as a Senior Character and Creature Artist, having previously worked at Guerrilla Games. Ben has worked on games like Diablo IV, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Horizon Zero Dawn and the Netflix show Love, Death & Robots. Safe to say, you ll be learning from a true master in this course.

RECOMMENDED SKILL LEVEL
This course is designed for artists with an advanced skill level who are ready to push their character art to the limit. The course does not spend time covering the basics, and assumes ample knowledge of the pipeline and software involved in creating 3D art for games. We ve packed the course with advanced workflows and techniques, so if you re ready to push yourself and learn from the very best, this is the course for you.

Language: English | Size: 16.90 GB | Duration: 23h 41m

Master Human Anatomy, sculpt all the muscles and learn where they attach plus more

What you'll learn
We will learn the basics of blender for sculpting
We learn how to sculpt every visible muscle on the human body
We learn where the muscles attach, so we can figure out how they stretch and contract
After learning the muscles, we learn to sculpt on them to account for where fat builds up
We do several sculpts of people from start to finish, both male and female. We sculpt Heman.
We learn human anatomy via sculpting, which gives you a full 3D understanding of the body. This is very useful for drawing

Requirements
Download Blender for free and be willing to learn. I recommend a drawing tablet, but a mouse can be used.

Description
Do you want to be a professional 3D artist for video games or movies? Do you just want to learn to sculpt the human figure? Do you want to draw people from imagination? Then you need this course. Hey, I'm Neil Fontaine, a professional artist with years of experience working in the industry, and I have been teaching human anatomy for artists for over 10 years. What are you going to learn? In this course we learn to sculpt all the muscles onto the human skeleton. We learn each muscles shape and where the muscle attaches to the bones. Then we sculpt the skin and fat on top of that. In doing this, you learn the human figure like you just cannot learn by drawing. This will not only set you down the path to being a professional sculptor for doing characters for games and such, but also it will give you the 3D knowledge you need to draw and paint figures like a pro. All the great painters knew how to sculpt. You will learn how to use Blender, which is a free 3D program and is great for sculpting. By the end of this course, you will be confident in sculpting or drawing the body in proper proportions. You will be a master at muscles and where they attach. You will be able to sculpt or even draw the human figure from imagination. You will be sculpting the female figure from primitive shapes like a pro. We will sculpt a dynamic figure from a classic sculpture, learning how to start with a base Daz Studio model, then importing into Blender and sculpting on it. We will do a sculpture of Hellboy. Then as a bonus, we will do a sculpture of Heman as an old man in Zbrush. However, you can sculpt him in Blender if you do not have access to Zbrush. Just the Heman section or just the Hellboy section is worth the price of the whole course. Money back guarantee, upheld by Udemy s high standards. I designed this 22 hour course for students that want to be a professional character designers or they just want to sculpt or draw the human figure from imagination, so what are you waiting for? Let's get started.

How to Sculpt and Retopologize a Stylized Head in Blender
Duration: 4h 6m | Video: 1920x1080 30fps | Audio: AAC, 48 kHz, 2ch | Size: 16 GB
Genre: eLearning | Language: English

It s time to Level Up!
You ve probably been taught that sculpting the head starts with a sphere and ends with a head. That s like reading a book without chapters! This unorganised approach makes the information more difficult to understand and retain.
This course takes a different approach by breaking the process up into 8 manageable levels. You can think of these levels like checkpoints, and each builds on the one before it. This organises what you need to do and takes away much of the stress that comes with the daunting task of sculpting a head!
Each level also becomes it s own exercise, so you can really focus in on those areas you struggle most with!

References that Work
We all know the importance of using reference when working but 2D references are limiting, especially when you re learning. Most of the time you have just a single image to work from. If you re lucky you might have a character sheet that gives you Front, Side and 3/4 views. This is slightly better, but it s far from ideal.
The problem is that when you work in 3D you need to know how the model should look from any percievable angle, otherwise it falls apart. Unfortunately, character sheets don t include references showing the model 37 to the left and 23 tiilted downwards.
Having a 3D reference right there in the viewport removes any doubt by allowing you to rotate around the model however you like, whenever you like. I sincerely wish I had this when I was starting out.

Self Critique with Confidence
You know that critiques are invaluable when it comes to progression. However, you re not always keen on the idea of showing people your work just yet, especially on social media where people can be ruthless!
What 3D references allow you to do is very accurately compare your efforts with your goal. You can literally slide between your work and the reference to see where you got it right, and whereyou need to work on. Imagine how useful this will be to your improvement!

2D References
You will also be provided with 2D references of each from from a variety of different angles. These are very useful when you want to check a shape without moving your 3D references. They re even more useful when used on a second screen!
