Arvind sits in one of the chairs, his back against one arm, his legs dbangd over the other, his heart thudding. 


Impossible, he thinks, impossible, his mind refusing to believe. He would never have believed it, but here are the images, here is the proof. He thinks he has her.

Ashok nods again, this time in acknowledgement. The nurses did indeed pop up at any and all hours asking for this or that medicine to be purchased from the pharmacy. It was so much better in other countries—they treated the patient regardless of whether an attendant was present. Here though, they needed a family member around at all times. 

Arvind folds the paper he’d been holding to cover his erection, and places it on the coffee table. His hard on has subsided by now anyway. With one last sideways glance at the phone on the chair, he leaves.
