Process costing system - Cost Accounting - Managerial Accounting

We will start by introducing managerial accounting or cost accounting topics that apply to companies that manufacture using either a job cost system or a process cost system.

The course will describe classifications for costs and the importance of being able to classify costs in different ways.

We will list and describe an outline of the process costs go through as they flow through the accounting process in a manufacturing company.

The course will compare the two major systems used to track inventory costs in a manufacturing company, the job cost system, and the process costs system. We will discuss when a company would use either a job cost system or a process cost system.

We will discuss the flow of inventory costs in a process cost system and track the process of costs related to raw materials, that then flow to work in process and factory overhead, to finished goods, and finally, are expensed in the form of cost of goods sold.

We will explain the concept of overhead and why it is needed, including the concept of actual overhead incurred and estimated overhead we apply to departments. The course will show how to calculate the predetermined overhead rate and how to use this rate to estimate overhead allocated to departments.

The course will record the journal entries related to costs as they flow through the process cost system including journal entries for the transfer of raw materials to work in process and factory overhead, the incurrence of direct and indirect wages, and other overhead costs. We will enter journal entries to allocate overhead to work in process and to transfer costs from department to department and finished goods. We will also enter journal entries to record sales transactions and related costs of goods sold.

We will calculate the cost per equivalent unit and assign costs to ending work in process and to amounts transferred out of departments using both a First In First Out (FIFO) method and a Weighted Average Method.

We will also discuss key terms and definitions related to a job cost system and how they are used in practice.

In this course I will cover a list of apps that I encourage my children to play with in order to make their learning - fun.
Apps that while being played, your kids will be taught computer programming fundamentals, math, algebra, languages and more.

This course addresses parents of kids aged 2-13.

When I first discovered that there are such apps, I started reading and searching for articles about more apps that serve my ideals:

apps that are educational but feel totally like a game.

Apps that do not make my kids feel like they are learning while they actually are.

I started searching, reading a lot, testing apps. Everything I found was articles that published texts in order to recommend their own apps, people who wrote articles so when someone buys through their link they will earn a share, apps that were educational but didn't serve my purpose. Some did the job, but I payed for all the apps that didn't do it on the way to discover those that did.

I found my self downloading 30-40 apps of the same subject per day and deleting 99% of them, leaving only those who served my purpose. I kept only those who were really educational while at the same time, felt like a game. The games that I kept were the ones that made me think: "Wow, this is truly genius. So simple, so smart, so educational, so playful."

most of the apps and games I will show you are free (but not all), and since they are education oriented, they get very little exposure and publicity and I think that all parents should expose them to their kids in order to elevate the potential that is in their mobile phones and the desire of their kids to play with them.

It took me a lot of time to collect those specific games that give real value for the time my kids spend on my phone. I practically downloaded more than 30-40 apps a day and deleted 39 in average. Leaving only the one app that showed real value - real learning, while having real fun playing them. (and taking care of the fact that they wont notice that this game is actually teaching them and developing on their skills).


What kind of games I will not talk about here?

Games that the screen is not an addition value to them. For example, games that teach your kids to work with a data table. Why? Because you can learn that using a chalk and a board. Games here will have a value that can be found using a computer, a mobile phone or a tablet.

I will not talk about games that have elements of luck. It is true that luck is a part of life and kids need to learn to deal with it, but there are so many other skills to develop and I will focus on them.

Violent games will not find their way here

I also try to find apps that work on airplane mode so that your kids will not be bothered by beeps and other attractions that are caused by online mode.

Hi, I'm Eugenia and I will be your teacher for today's class. I am a watercolour enthusiast who mainly focuses on food illustration. This class is a step-by-step paint through of a food illustration; Blackberry Jam on Toast. Today's class is a request from a lot of my past students and YouTube followers, after watching a speedpaint of it on my channel a while back, and so I decided to turn this into a full class so the steps are more manageable to follow.

I will be painting at a slow pace while talking to you and informing you in each individual steps in hopes that students are able to paint along. But it is recommended for students to watch the lessons individually before painting along, as it will be easier to digest the information when students know what to expect from certain lessons. Another tip for this class, if students choose to paint along as they watch is to pause in each step, so they are able to watch and have time to paint it themselves in their own time before moving along to the next step.

Here is the class outline of the smaller lessons:

01. INTRODUCTION

An introduction to the class and a list of the class outline as well short clips of lesson previews from start to finish

02. SUPPLIES

A list of the art supplies used to complete the final painting in this class

03.TRACING

You can draw your own toast but, there will also be a downloadable pattern/outline of the illustration, which you can trace out.

04. MASKING

Prepping of the illustration by masking off small elements

05. I. BASE COLOUR

Painting the base colour of the whole toast

06. II. BASE COLOUR: CRUMBS

Separating the toast between the crumbs and crust

07. III. BASE COLOUR: CRUST

Prepping the base colour of crust

08. I. TOASTY TEXTURE

Adding a layer of golden brown colour to the sides of the crumbs

09. II. TEXTURE: CRUMB STRUCTURE

Painting the holes of the crumb structure

10. III. TEXTURE: CORNERS

Adding detailed texture to the crumb structure along the side of the toast

11. IV. TEXTURE: SHADOWS IN CRUMB STRUCTURE

Details of shadows within the holes of the crumb texture

12. CRUST DETAILS

Identifying the folds and texture of the crust and enhancing the shapes

13. JAM

Painting the base colours of the jam along with additional textures

14. JAM REFLECTION AND HIGHLIGHTS

Building form of the jam by adding several layers of reflection and highlights followed with shadows to enhance the texture

15. CLEANING MASKING FLUID

Revealing the smaller elements that was previously masked off

16. LEAVES

Painting the leaves from start to finish

17. ALMONDS

Painting the golden brown almonds from start to finish

18. SHADOWS OF LEAVES AND ALMONDS

Enhancing additional elements of the dish by adding shadows

19. DRY BRUSH ON CRUST

Painting the residual flour that's sometimes left on the crust for additional texture and character

An optional addition as accent to give dynamic elements to the painting
