Why shouldn't she humiliate Krish? If they don't like humiliating each other does that mean they need to stick to it? 

Yes , a big Yes if they wanted to continue as a couple. Here lies the difference in our thought process.

I do not think you understood the point i was making here, If you truly believed that Meera loves Desai and considers him as her second husband and better than Krish in all aspects and gives him more preference now a days why should she continue to live with Krish and maintain the couple status? What is she gaining by doing that? Obviously if her love for Krish died and she is manipulating him to be with Desai and she now loves Desai isn't it better for her to leave Krish and settle with Desai. Desai has more money and is a force to reckon with in terms of status or wealth so why is she not going for bigger fish? Obviously a manipulative women always cares about herself and not her husband.
Easy way to do this is to emotionally hurt Krish so he leaves her by himself and best way to do that is humiliate him in front of Desai. My question is why is she not doing it? All she is doing is going to temple or shopping..that's dumb if your assumptions on her character are correct.
