Friends, one week from the last update, so it's time for the next update. I had already finished writing this part by Thursday but didn't post purposefully because I feel one week gap should be given to you to comment your response. Those that want an update immediately after the previous and don't even bother to read through only show their lack of patience. If you don't like the thread, please don't read! So here comes the next update:
Chapter 15: A '. Family and Divorce Lawyer
After a very disturbed sleep I finally woke up early in the morning. I brushed my teeth and started preparing breakfast and tea. That Saturday was the worst day of my life. I was suffering from a bodyache with an intense headache.
The Aya came up and asked me, "Sir, when will Madam be back? Where have she spent the night?"
"I'm not aware of any of her whereabouts," I said.
Her anxiety is understandable, usually on Saturday she gets an off to go home while Poroma looks after the children.
I said, "but don't worry, you can go home and I will look after the children. But please come back by lunchtime. Sorry but you have to bear a little while Poroma is not at home!"
"I understand Sir," the Aya said, "powdered milk for the baby have already been prepared and kept in the refrigerator. You will need to boil the feeding bottle and the nipple, then you can feed him. He will go to sleep, and I will be back by lunchtime."
She moved out happy, I fed the baby and soon he went to sleep. Then I served breakfast to Nupur, shaved, took my bath and performed Puja which is usually done by Poroma in a normal day. Then I had my own breakfast, Nupur wanted to go to play with the neighborhood kids at the society ground. I let her go and sat with the newspaper but after a few minutes realized I haven't read even a line.
I started slowly reminiscing all that have been happening on the Friday night.
Then I once again tried to call Poroma on her mobile but found out that it was really switched off. I was feeling so anxious about her, I next got out of all my inhibitions and tried calling Rahul's phone but the result was the same. Both seemed to have switched off their phones while they were celebrating their new sexual festive honeymoon!
With a cool determination I started thinking about the options I have, first I thought about going to the security officer station and making a missing diary about Poroma! Saturday morning I was sober and the security officer cannot straight away dismiss me. But as much as I have heard they don't take a missing diary before twenty four hours have passed. So the complaint cannot be registered before Sunday. But then I will need to show them the message that came from Poroma last night. As soon as they will see it they will of course tell me to wait until Sunday evening before they even take down a Diary. So a missing diary with the security officer could not be an option.
Next I can make a complaint of forceful abduction and kidnapping for the intention of bang or molestation! But then I can't be sure that my wife Poroma will even be testifying my complaint! Rather there is a good possible chance that she would probably make a declaration under oath that she have been doing everything with Rahul out of her own free will and her complete consent! That will as well result in my getting arrested by the security officer in charge of bringing a false allegation against Rahul. That would finally result in my being sent to the prison to rot and Poroma due to her inborn stubborn nature and out of her anger and irritation towards me may even refuse to bail me out! So the final part will be that Rahul will be enjoying the charms of my wife Poroma while I will be destined to get stuck up in a Jail! No, going to the security officer under these circumstances cannot be an option at all!
The third and best option for me seemed to be to divorce Poroma, after what she have been doing since Friday night, making a public display of her sexual adventures and causing humiliation to both me and our family and destroying all our reputation in the eyes of the society she surely deserves to be divorced! But then what about the children? The innocent little ones have been doing nothing wrong, why should they suffer as a consequence of the actions of their mommy? Why should I gift them a broken home? Why should they be made to make a choice between their mother and father?
But then again, should a broken marriage be continued only for the sake of the children? What Poroma did not only during the party but is continuing even after that really shows a gross lack of respect towards me, and where there is no respect I don't think there can be any love! I thought deeply and yes, I agreed to the fact that there cannot be anything more between us, I also have lost my respect towards Poroma as my wife after the way she had put both me and also her own self respect down in front of my colleagues! No, under such circumstances the marriage should not be continued just for the sake of the children!
I finally took the decision, let me check with the options of a simple divorce. That is the only way I could preserve at least some of the dignity I and my family have left at present. That can be followed by leaving the present job and moving out to another city where nobody knows about the happenings of the Holi party! At least I decided to check out my options in case of a divorce by going for a consultation with a family lawyer that day itself!
I started looking over the internet, in search of a family lawyer. There were several of them in the city, I started calling their offices one after another. But then I could only get the earliest appointment only at 3 PM. None of the others were available for an appointment before Monday.
The Aya returned at 1.30 PM. She was annoyed finding that her madam Poroma have not returned and still there was no message from her.
I too was well beyond my tolerance limit by then and said to the over inquisitive Aya, "Poroma have gone out without leaving any information about her to me and till now there is no message!"
She was worried and made the suggestion for going to the security officer and making a missing diary. I pacified her by telling that the security officer don't accept a missing diary before the stipulated 24 hours statutory waiting period is over!
She served me the lunch after preparing it, then post lunch I slowly started my car and moved towards the locality where my lady family lawyer was waiting for me.
So I was standing in front of the lawyer's office exactly at 3 PM. As I entered I found a well lit reception with a gorgeous girl sitting there. She was wearing a light blue chiffon saree with a black sleeveless blouse, exposing a lot of her fair skin! The cleavage of her breasts was clearly showing through her transparent saree! Her breasts were heaving with her breaths! Her hair was simply knotted and her saree was tied low enough to leave a lot of her belly and navel exposed! "Good afternoon Sir, I'm Kavita Sharma. What can I do for you?" She asked.
"Good afternoon mam, I'm Mr. Ranjeet Sen. I have an appointment with Fatima Ahmed, Family and Divorce Lawyer!" I said to her.
"Just a minute Sir," she looked at her register and marked something there, "yes Sir! Her fee is ₹ 500 and you will need to pay the amount now!"
I made the payment in cash, she came out around her table and said, "just follow me Sir!'
She led me towards a door with the nameplate showing the name Ms. Fatima Ahmed, Family and Divorce Lawyer. As I entered the room I saw a bright and smart young girl below 30, in a totally professional lawyer's dress but sexy as hell! She had a pretty face and big titties which were obvious under her professional white shirt and a tight fitting bra!
Fatima stood up and greeted me with a warm smile, "good afternoon Mr. Ranjeet and welcome to my office!"
She offered me her soft hand which I shook, "same to you, Mrs. Ahmed."
"It's Miss Ahmed Sir," she said again with a smile, "please be seated."
As I sat down on the couch for visitors.
"Let us straight come to the point Sir," Ms. Fatima said in a no nonsense tone, "please, what can I do for you?"
Without any hesitation I slowly but confidently described to her, point by point, all the incidents that happened during Friday evening and then what led to my decision to consult her on Saturday morning.
Then finally I came to the point, "madam, I came here to get your opinion on what will be the best option for me if I go for a divorce."
"Of course Sir," said Fatima, "but first let me ask you something, have you been noticing anything peculiar during her interactions with Mr. Rahul during any party? Please don't leave out any details if you think them as unnecessary, let me decide whether it is necessary or not if you will."
"As far as I know madam," I said, "there have been only two interactions between them in the last two months. The first when we accidentally ran into each other at a shopping mall two months back and the second in another office party last month during the valentine's day."
"You can call me Fatima please, not necessarily madam," she said in a kind sympathetic tone, "I'm not interested in the interaction at the shopping mall, I specifically told you about the parties. So in this Valentine's day party, did she drink there?"
"Not at all Fatima," I replied, "though my wife occasionally drinks at parties she was not having any drinks because she didn't attend any parties for the last three years! Since she got pregnant with the second baby, and we could not attend any parties because we didn't have any day night Aya to manage the children. It was only two months back that we could get an Aya and since it was after a long gap she took only soft drinks during that evening as far as I know!"
"Okay Mr. Ranjeet," Fatima said, "but please, I need to know the details. Can you please describe all that happened during the Valentine's day party?"
"I'll surely try," I started narrating the incidents of the party as she relaxed in her couch closing her eyes and listening intently, "the Valentine's day party was at the house of Mohit and Rohini, Rahul was still just my colleague at that time because the promotion was due not before March. But of course he was at the time much more closer to the management than me.
Poroma said, "Reshmi told me that the party will be beginning at 6 PM, so we are ought to reach there latest by 7 at least! Ranjeet, please come home by 5 since we will also have to get ready."
"Poroma," I said, "to reach home by 5 I will have to start driving back from the office latest by 4 PM! That will not be possible by any means. It's far better by any standards if you can get ready and come to my office by 6 PM. That way I will be able to finish off my work, and from there we can together go to the party!"
Poroma agreed to it and that was decided, I left the car back at our home for Poroma and commuted to the office on that day by taxi. Since Poroma already knows how to drive and she didn't want to go by public transport once she got dressed up for the party.
I I had already started to finish up my job in the process of closing as quickly as possible. But then I faced a problem which I couldn't solve soon enough.
So I rang Poroma and told her,"Poroma, I will be a little late."
"But you promised me Ranjeet," she said in an annoyed tone.
"Yes but there's a problem at work Poroma, please try to understand," I said, "just do one thing then, you can go directly to the party, I will get there by a cab!"
"No I'm not going there without you," I will reach your office at 6.30. You finish your job anyway by then!" She hung up.
Poroma drove our car to my office at 6.30. When I was finally getting out I saw Poroma sitting with Rahul at our reception looking deeply into each other's eyes while talking with each other!
I felt a churning in my stomach but managed to control myself. I knew if I showed any type of annoyance it won't be taken nicely by Poroma. She would comment that I am jealous of Rahul! I tried my best to look normal, walked towards them and smiled.
Poroma stood up from the sofa, "so you finished Ranjeet?"
Rahul grinned, "so you guys are directly going to the party from here?"
"Yes, actually he is so late unless we directly go from here we won't be able to attend the party at all," Poroma smiled sweetly at him.
I had to force a smirk and nodded, "let's go Poroma, bye Rahul."
