Mom and Balloon man

"It's free, as a thank you gesture!" he told me. My mom saw the incident and suddenly there was a smile on my mom's face and she said "aw Come on, Romy don't be rude, take the balloon and say thank you!" she reprimanded me! "No!" I said, so she came forward and took the balloon from him, "thank you, please forgive my son, he's really impolite! I'll keep this balloon for myself!" That being said, she took her stuff and left for work.

Afterwards, my grandma came into the living room and said: "hope you enjoyed the lunch, if you're passing by again around lunch time don't be shy to ring the doorbell, I'll have Romy bring you some food!" He had a sparkle in his eyes as if he had already formulated his plan to make use of this offer..."Thank you ma'am, if it's possible I leave my stuff here and come back tonight to pick them up!" My grandma quickly agreed, he turned towards me, smiled and said "I'll see you tonight, son"!

I did not like it, I didn't even know this man and he wanted to come back at night and make something happen with my mom, maybe even sleep with her. So before he could leave I said, "you're wasting your time, you know?!" He turned around and gave me a kind smile, "you know...this could be very good for you!"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, is there anything you want your mom to do that she wouldn't normally? Maybe I can help you with that." he said. It suddenly didn't seem like this whole thing was a bad idea, I thought to myself, 'I should think of something to my mom wouldn't normally do!'

"How would you like to have a baby brother or sister?" he asked. The question startled me. It's true, I was an only child; but unlike many other only children that I knew I like being by myself even though I could feel lonely some times. But this was an intriguing offer, as it seemed a very exciting offer, and I thought to myself 'who knows may be I'd like the idea of a young sibling.'

"Yeah, I think that'd be pretty cool!"
