There are vultures [waiting for the right time to prey upon] at every level of life  - some you come across and some you don't.

Desai cannot be judged as a bad man as he did not force anything anytime [so far we know]  - he made use of situation and is giving a option to Ananya.. What she does is her choice but not her fault

Just today morning I read in TOI paper that a accountant committed suicide [entire family] owing to bankruptcy brought on by these tough times.  Money does not always but happiness but it can prevent troubles surely to a great extent. In my state a widely popular saying: even a dead body will open its mouth if shown money.  That was a choice the accountant made.....  Now here:
      Ananya can choose to go ahead with choice Desai would be giving to her OR
      Ananya can choose something more drastic with her Husband 


In extreme times: some seek survival, some seek end.  I support Ananya for the choices she is going to make and if it came to a similar troubling situation to Kris, then I have no trouble with Meera doing what Desai requires.    Personally, in my real life would such a situation come, I know my wife would do what Desai desires  - I would'nt worry on cent about any  opinion of   "Society"
